26-Twenty Six

I’m 26. Gone to old, faded in bold
How do I start my story?
My predicament ignites in fury
Too busy making money
Tell me if cash ever makes you happy?

Where do I find my passion?
I need something to forget oblivion
I’m too scared to miss out
Call me trigger happy, my body’s in drought

I am reaching for intimacy
Share a bed with someone, un-cuff me
I’m jaded, ignition has faded
You tell me you miss me
With spooning, you seem itchy

There is no point in trying
Thanks to robotics I’m surviving
Swipe right and build a conversation
A stranger on tinder to fill the desperation

I am done with pretensions
I am 26 and I’m letting go of future humiliations
Don’t let me be the typical girl.
I am not, I don’t wear pearls

The world cares less for singles
The singles rejoice the world’s pickles.
I will continue living my life freely
No pressure. I’m 26, screw serendipity.

The Ruba’iyat of Créteil Lake – Part Twenty-Six

Soon all the rooms at trysting hotel were for years booked through
By pilgrims from Mindanao and Minangkabau to Timbuktu
Saudi princes bought the hotels at Carrefour de Pompadour
Kings of Malaysia with retinues planned long séjours

Sea Anne-Anne’s “broken news” chartered all the sailing club’s boats
The Mayor sacked the Accounts Chief for failing to raise the rates
Sea Be-As put out feelers to buy the Pompiers de Paris
All-Cheese-Seas-Roar made a secret pact with the mosque’s prelates

All-Lions-Fun-Press opened offices at the Préfecture’s terrace
Bee-Bee-Sea late as usual wanted a Royal Palace
So they got the Queen to confer Lordship on the Président
Beings-Port set about organizing annual matches face to fa	ce

Between Robo-Cops and the Darling Dears clad in chadors
On one condition: they all fought it out in the lake outdoors
Just then His Holiness with his yea-sayers strode out for air
When boom-voiced Commandant pounced on them with Robo-Cop jaws:

“Pray! Esteemed Prophet’s Emissary! Lend me thy sovereign ear!
Habeas corpus ad subjiciendum this writ makes clear
Miscreant Tent Maker’s son Omar doth s’installe à demeure… »
« STOP ! » ordained the Imam, « I must forthwith lead the dohr prayer !”

Twenty Six

Add toenail polish
when your broken leg demands
self esteem and praise

Twenty-Six

Twenty-six came fast... Possibilities
close in by the hundreds, as if they were marching
to the sound of a choke-hold.
Pressure's a good thing
when it has us make something
beautiful, or something hot.
Stardom, creation, art,
invention, love, whatever...

Those are something.

But twenty-six years
don't guarantee illumination-
that a step forward won't be going back
where the space is too expansive for comfort.

Why does the emptiness scream so loud?

Maybe I'll run off to Boston
or Brooklyn, or somewhere in Florida
where the noise is real,
where the sun can make me forget.
I hear Santa Fe's nice and full of hippies like me.
But there they are again-
options.

Was I tricked?

Twenty-six... and mother society
(that *****)
says I should stop screwing around.
Try stability like other healthy-functioners.

But they look bored.
I'll be damned before I'm one of them.

See, I'm a should-must-hater to the core.
But I get it...
I can only say 'screw that' so many times,
til I've screwed just about every should in the book,
an obligatory ****.
And I know that somewhere in time,
poignant obligations could become wanted.

Transformation happens to us all-
no tricks.

But twenty-six still haunts...
narrowing halls, nightmares, bad dreams...
wedding bells and crying babies
and sweat-soaked sheets.

Enough! I need a drink,
drink too much, back to square one...

But before you guess,
or relate in ways
that make your world seem smaller
and less heavy-
Before you judge me
too far gone, or too unsafe for pleasure,
Let's at least acknowledge together
That I have one thing (make me feel better)

Time the wish-granter is still big
at twenty-six.
It's the lesson-learner, the justification
of risk, and the stupidity of youth.

(And if time's not linear as once they said,
I wonder will I always BE somewhere?
Lost in some traveling wavelength?)
Time is a mind-boggler too.

I'm twenty-six... but at fifty-two
I may not have all the answers I want.
But I can relax about that,
that's what time can do.

Twenty-six..
all that's left for me now

is a thousand different ways
to enjoy the movement,
to take a moment and watch it spin
into constant re-arranging moods
through the interaction...
Like a falling deck of cards echoed
into an oblivion
of my very own.

Twenty Six

Twenty six lights that will shine no more,
The senseless violence we cannot endure.
Twenty six acts to show that you understand,
Divided we fall yet united we stand.

Twenty six people who will no longer be,
Despite the wounds compassion we see.
Twenty six smiles that were taken away,
People carry candles to light up the way.

Twenty six reasons we all should reach out,
Hope shines through the shadows of doubt.
Reach out your hand to show that you care,
Understanding rises from the ashes of despair.

Twenty six stars light up in the sky,
As the world mourns, wondering why?
Twenty six lives that were not lost in vain,
So many tears released from the pain.

Twenty six died, it could have been more,
As we look to the future what is in store?
Twenty six lives we shall always remember
Death comes to Newtown, this cold December.

Twenty six acts of faith coming from our hearts,
As each one is granted, the healing just starts.
Twenty six reasons that it can get better,
Love falls like rain, we all get wetter.

Twenty-Six

Twenty-six doctors
At my door (I gotta get rid of this darn door!!!!)
With twenty-six diagnosis,
And then, twenty-six more...

Twenty-six pills
For twenty-six ills,
My voice startin' to change,
I sound like Beverly Sills!

Think I'm more likely
To survive twenty six diseases,
Than twenty six prescriptions,
Bringing twenty-six sneezes...

Twenty six Dr. visits,
Each month alone,
Twenty six Doctors,
Twenty-six receptionists,
On twenty-six a phone...

Twenty-six things
He tells me,
Which I forget
In twenty-six seconds,
Twenty-six different
Medical futures,
It seems, beckons

Oh, I'm tired of this number thing,
How many numbers are there?
Must I continue till nobody does care?

Well, better yet, let me see,
If twenty-six beers,
Will be enough for me!

Evolutionary Letter Number Twenty Six

Cantos Uno Obsessive Eclipse Octavia
Israel is like a mote on mankind’s face
Born on May 14 1948 ,
A host of problems a bloody disgrace
I see two eclipses to change it’s fate,
A lunar eclipse Sept 7 next year
A rotten tepid corpse is Isreal’ end,
Dec 28 2 years away I fear
Which lunar eclipse could fulfill the trend.

There are some partial lunar eclipses too
They are 4 and 5 years apart in time ,
Will these doom angels assure Isreal is through?
Israel gone -time for Palestine to shine
And The last eclipse is to far away,
I might be dead that time who is to say
The first partial eclipse I will be here ,
What doom will I find on the blogosphere

Cancer is on Israel’s tenth house end
Saturn in Cancer a weak place for sure ,
Moon in tenth conjunct Saturn -a friend
The Moon godliness. for Saturn is the cure,
Let us look at the Nakshatra for the Moon
A godly message for Israel -a boon ?
The Moon’s Nakshatra is in the 8th cell
Pushya acts godly as far I can tell.

 Cantos Duo: Considerazioni Astrologiche

And Israel’s 7th house cusp is Aries. too
And plenty of foreign disputes to date
And Mars in Leo in the 11th -true
Ready for war that it anticipates
For Israel it is not an good investment
This behaviour just brings resentment
Israel can be to aggressive to some
To self assured in disputes they think they won

But the 7th house is Israel’s allies
When Mars transits the Tenth time for a coup
With the above config allies strategize
Mars nakshatra,Magha great success too
Sun is in Taurus -gets resources from friends
Ruled by Venus in the 9th bucks never end
Wars it undertakes they feel surely blest
Wars it undertakes ,it feels it passed the test

The Sun’s Nakshatra is called Krittaka
The Sun acts like a persona non grata

Envoi:
Isreal civic views are like swine
Eclipses purport drastic change
 Warn Israel free Palestine
If you don’t change you are deranged

Take no crap from Zionists too
And they twist facts to thier taste
If we do mankind is screwed
Set them straight else all is a waste

Not all Jews are Zionists too
These Jews think these folk are morons ,
Please I ask don’t conflate the two
No, then you will get a sermon.

Twenty-Six Cheerleaders Today In History

Three years ago today a group of 14- to 17-year-olds attending Texas Cheer Camp in Austin decided to see how many girls they could squeeze into the elevator

Twenty-six girls thought they would all fit within
Twenty-six girls both the fat and the thin
Twenty-six girls and there could have been more
But the twenty-sixth girl had to close the damn door

The lights were too hot so the girls said to dim it
But not before one of them read the lift’s limit
And using round figures they added up weight
But got to the answer a little too late

So twenty-six girls in a box fast descended
Till they hit the ground floor and their fall quickly ended
Shaken, not stirred, they all wanted out
But the door wouldn’t budge so they started to shout

Twenty-six girls in a movable box
They’re on the ground floor and the door somehow locks
They shimmy and shake till a cell phone appears
911 is soon called so they practiced some cheers

And the serious firemen all had to grin
Thinking twenty-six cheerleaders all crammed within
Twenty-six bodies pressed all to the wall
And all of this happened in old Jester Hall

There are twenty-six letters in the English alphabet.
They haven’t added any others as of yet.
Consider yourself lucky today
if your name begins with the letter “A”
In alphabetical order, you are one of the first in line.
My name begins with “P”. You are well ahead of mine.

Premium Member Street Boy Dies At Twenty Six

Funeral of a street boy from Lawrence Kansas.
Handsome lad, bi-polar, twenty-six and a half.
Dressed like a bobsled team with fake heads some days.
His mother refused to renew his motorcycle license.
This led to his death.

He feared the police would ticket him
Worse yet, confiscate his motorcycle
Because the license was expired.
There was a police chase.

His mother is the blonde headed lady wailing in grief.
Street boy’s friends speak a bit about him.
Take turns, and sometimes interrupt each other.
Some talk more about themselves than him.

Some mention his mother’s refusal to renew his license.
Others talk about being honorary members of his bobsled team.
A bobsled team in Lawrence, Kansas. A sad funeral of misfits.
A hat is passed to collect money to help his mother bury him.

There is enough to renew that license now.

Twenty Six

Just like the cat in the hat,
I have twenty six plans when I go out to bat,
Now what do you think of that.

You can keep all your heavy readings,
It was my childhood dreaming's,
And an adult's simple musing's
That gave me twenty six understanding's
For twenty six different solutions
To life's many complications.

If I should get more than twenty six,
I still won't be in a fix,
A friend brought into the mix ,
Will give me another twenty six.

A Twenty Six of July

I don’t need to think about you, about us,
Mom, you stayed in my heart that reads,
You’re still a rose, a sugar strawberry,
You walk with me on this winding road,

You’re in the house, in the white flower,
You are in the sky that changes my heart,
You’re in the little girl, who enjoys everything,
Who cries like you, in front of the idiotic sea?

I don’t need to think about you, Mom,
You are in the sand, in the lowered silence,
You were born on July 26, that was yesterday,
Today, tomorrow will return. I hope it does,

Mom, you stayed surely in the blaze,
Who lights, who speaks, like God, at night,
You are the sky, the endless circle,
The little girl who knows the earth is round,

I don’t need to think about you, always,
You are every tear, flowing on a book, yes,
Every teardrop sounds like the river of dreams,
Under the deep stone, you think of your children.

Page Twenty Six

Threw the process its a process, step by step but
regardless of how high my standards looked it was you
who I selected, I am second yeah I'll put you first no
hesitation I might be a wretched mess but you're half
past amazing, the anticipation, is it exactly what it seems
or just another bittersweet dream I guess we'll see what
the future holds in this realistic theme I mean...patience
is the key we're the beholders, so as I openly infiltrate
how to keep you happy I try to remain covert, its a
learning experience and I have yet to experience it, a
woman who gives all that I do I guess that's what I'm
fearing, I know how I appear and everything looks so
heaven sent but if all of me is all you need I promise to
give you all the right measurements

day twenty six

day twenty-six

Today is the day after people are tired
And the toilets on the first floor of the building
Were blocked and had taken a heavy load
The silence is eerily; a man on the fifth floor
 lets out air from his
Interior followed by giggling
What do I know, can have been his wife eating
too many prunes and sweet wine
The bin-men are on strike (are there bin-women)
The garbage is piling up in the basement
The mice have a jolly time today, unafraid of obese cats
kept by elderly women.
Tomorrow will be a busy day hospital visits
One can say, back to normal
