Graced by festive home-made trimmings
On an eve which hails life aglow--
Merry tears drift in wonderment
As spark of hope blazes, to flow :
That each dwelling exalts JOY JOY
Bright the praise through heaven above ,
For the magical glee this year—
A wintertime brimming with white of frost
Of beningn dusks. a swerve imperial
Kindling what nourishes all… LOVE!

Premium Member To Everyone a Goodnight

Well they are here again
Knocking on my door
Monopolizing my television
Decorating my neighbors homes
Blitzing me at every store
And corner in every city and hamlet
Between here and Buzzard Beak, Idaho.
It’s like a virus
A pandemic
Santa Claus is coming to town
Well I’ve been bad, very bad
And if that bastard shows up at my house
He ain’t getting cookies and milk
I’m been talking to Jesus and he tells me
That Santa is a fake, a sham, a trick on the poor people
He’s just a way to make the rich richer and poor poorer
So I ask Jesus “Why do you let this happen?”
And he smiles and tells me a long story about faith and forgotten dreams.
Then he fades back into the egg nog and I sleep with the devil.
Fitful dreams and reindeer back strap for breakfast
I eat the fake snow and regurgitate the Christmas balls
Burn the tree and bury the trimmings
The fat man can’t intimidate me.

Premium Member Mcbeals Thanksgiving Turkey

He loved a drink did ol'Johnny McBeal
And offered to cook the thanksgiving meal
All the trimmings with turkey
For their friends and family
His wife agreed but no drink was the deal...

On the big day he was up before five
But with no drink knew he wouldn't survive
Found a bottle of sherry
Then started to get merry
Guests arrived and the bird was still alive...

Johnnys wife said " you've ruined thanksgiving
The turkeys gobbling and it's still living
There is no main course
I want a divorce
I'm upset and I won't be forgiving"...

She then reached out for a sharp carving knife
Johnny was shaking in fear for his life
She wanted the turkey dead
Who ran out the door and fled
Johnny thought she is one demented wife...

Johnny was determined to save the day
And phoned Mcdonalds for a takeaway
Ten turkey burgers arrived
Ol' Johnny's marriage survived
Then before dinner they knelt down to pray...

And what became of the McBeals turkey?
He was found terrified up in a tree
His poor life was spared
By someone who cared
Now lives in peace in a bird sanctuary...

Premium Member Flora

Oh lush flora, I watch its parade
Sashaying through woodland mead and glade;
How new blooms quaver…adorned with grace
That every trail rules this courtly place :
Lustrous the mural, the birdsongs swoon
A chant hailing rebirth of life's tune;
And peonies orange waft, awake
Their trimmings enthrall, how I would shake!
And never will this portrait be lost
When Maytime dreams are heavenly glossed!

Premium Member My Happy Christmas Present

Wrapped

With thought,

One present ...

Meant just for me,

And arranged lovingly under the tree.

So pretty, tied bright with ribbons and bows ...

It's all I want

This wintry

Christmas -

You.

You,

Alone ...

Velvet skin,

Bow lips, teasing ...

Ribbons of silken tresses decorate ...

Oh, what wondrous magic must lay inside!

Yet sweeter, still,

To open

Very ...

Slow.

Yet,

Question -

Where to start?

Ah, choice, divine!

Yes, the trimmings are exquisite, indeed ...

But, oh, the warm yuletide treasure within!

Time to unwrap

My Christmas

Angel ...

You.

Premium Member Oh, That Magical Christmas

I was beyond bereft!
With very little money, sure, we had a small place.
But no cash nor tree nor presents nor food were to
be.
I cried a lot, so did my daughter.

I prayed very hard for some kind of answer.
Then I recalled "Operation Blessing"!
They wanted a complete list of what I needed.
It was long indeed, including a tree, a turkey, food
for an empty pantry, and toys for my daughter.

They told me to trust God and stop my crying.
It was a relief for me to know I was trying.
There was no plethora of jobs, then, as there are now.
Nor were lowest income earners having an 8% increase
hidden by the media mogul cows
And we were in a recession, then.

"Operation Blessing" came to our humble place.
I had been truly blessed by God's holy grace.
First they brought in a six foot, live, fully decorated tree!
In my daughter's eyes, I saw such happiness and glee!

The turkey was a Tom, hence more than generous.
All the trimmings, too. Plus other foods to fill my barren
kitchen cabinets.

Toys came next, plentiful, all beautifully wrapped.
My hopelessness disappeared knowing the world is so
generous and way far from crass.
Many organizations are doing good this season,
After all there is a reason!

People are cooking for the homeless all day across this
wonderful nation. Shelters are open.
Groups are cleaning up tent cities!!
Oh, no! Forbidden for you to know.
The painting of rich crushing the poor,
Is the center of the political boors.

Do what we can in money or in person!
Christmas is about His love, His birth.
Share your time and care and love with those who may
have less.
I learned that Christmas, to be humble and stop complaining!

To do for others, to tithe, to contribute.
To be grateful for what little I had.
And to ask when I needed help.
There are seniors living in nursing homes, go visit them,
their relatives won't!
How about badly wounded veterans, who lost limbs for you?
Can you spare them an hour or two?

Make this Christmas not about you.
It's a transformational experience,
I promise you!

Premium Member Feeding Ghosts

I've spent sundials of time feeding ghosts,
teaspoons of fear
dollops of regret
pecks of what ifs.
Just to keep them pacified
'til I could grow some balls and climb
the cold cliffs of courage.
but the truth is...
I'll never climb to higher realms
-don't have the gift.
though it took some time
I've accepted all of it.

I'm a creature born of the ground
made my nest in the good earth
I don't breathe stars
but I do inhale dirt...

I've grown up(somewhat) and tossed the ghosts
into a pit called self-forgiveness.
I still feed them scraps from time to time
but they'll never get what they desire,
the main dish with all the trimmings
silver-wonderful -shimmering.

Premium Member Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

I say it already.
Ever since the President,
put the Merry back,
in the step of America.
Jesus is real…
Christ is Christmas!

Happy thoughts,
Window trimmings…
Yes Thanksgiving is not over.
I don’t care.
I am Thankful every day,
that we are FREE!

I bend my knees,
and bow my head…
each night, not secretly.
(where they kill people…)
Openly.

I lift my hands together in prayer,
for my country, my family,
and strangers that need
more than can be given.

America the beautiful,
God Bless you this day.
God Bless you every day
of the year!

Premium Member I Need a Nurse

I need a nurse, dressed in white
With all the lace and sexy trimmings
My heart is throbbing
In loveless pain
Without my nurse I will go insane

She may caress my woes away
When the rooms all quiet
I will whisper please stay
Hop on the bed and fill my dreams so pious

In the dresser there, you will find the whipped cream
As your uniform slowly drifts to the floor
I shall star at white lace and demand so much more
Mouth to mouth, yes save my soul

Kiss my hopes and make me full
Dreams of a nurse so naughty and pure
Surely shall make a man smile with delight
So kiss me now on the lips

Before you endeavor on your grand trip

Into my heart

Premium Member Thanksgiving Leftovers

'Twas the day after Thanksgiving and all of its ado and congestion.
I'd consumed too much turkey and pie and due to its ingestion,
Today, I'm suffering from a very acute case of indigestion!
I should've stifled my gluttonous bent - of that there is no question!

Of turkey meat and the trimmings I've had more than enough,
But my spouse has already planned next week's menu in the rough,
Saying, "You'll eat what I fix and I want none of your inane guff!
I know how to dispose of leftover turkey and all that other stuff!"

So, a hearty turkey stew and sweet taters are on the menu Monday.
A steaming bowl of turkey soup will grace our board on Tuesday.
Two turkey sandwiches with green bean casserole we'll have Wednesday.
Turkey salad and punkin pie will be placed before me for lunch Thursday.

A heap of mashed taters topped with turkey a la king for dinner Friday.
Turkey fricassee with cranberry sauce we'll eat for dinner Saturday.
Enough turkey was available for potpies that we'll dine on Sunday.
YeeHah! Ain't no more turkey - I'll have a cheeseburger come next Monday!

Lord, You know I'm mighty thankful for that which You graciously provide,
And please don't thing me an ungrateful oaf, but if in You I may confide,
May it please You come next Thanksgiving, 'twould be so very nice,
If You'd provide a simple meat loaf, mashed pertaters and wild rice!

Premium Member Women's Traditional Dance—oneida Nation

The sun receded quietly on a relaxing siesta, as
Calm clouds of the mid-afternoon smiled henced,
The beat of the drums provideth dancing rhythm
As she moved in pure elegance with harmony, to
A style of danced buoyantly bouncing in melody.

Crafted beadworks accented her warmth charm,
Under her delicately brown-jeweled moccasins
The grass provideth such a natural cushion,
As Angular unique flexings of her gentle knees
Resonated like an eagle’s stealthy landing

Quietly in its nests with an eye on a nice prize.
She tingled as the sound of bells jingled
Sending pure melodic rhythm to ears—many!
Whilst she turned in an elegantly slow motion
Fringes from her shawl swayed air of warmth.

The balls of her feet moved in slight degrees as
Her heels touched Mother Earth softly in harmony,
She smiled as the judges watched intently. Like
A graceful dove she floated with precision—uniquely!
Her buckskin regalia trimmings—so singed softly!

As she danced in the sunset evening's twilight;
She created an energetic circle of life’s fire
Yet, never raised her ceremonial feathered fan,
Whilst in clear focus emerged from the dance
Regal styles of proud cultural Native heritage

A contrastingly exquisite fine female figure
Arousing sights in the soft evening’s twilight,
Dispelling the uncertainly to even look twice,
Elegantly noble and much marvelously nice:
She was naturally—First Woman!

Church in the morning to thank God for His kindness
Communion with family and friends are priceless
Love and laughter with everyone near,
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.

Rainbows of lights a welcome display
Trimmings and tinsel a dazzling array
All part of the decor that helps spread the cheer,
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.

The yummy aroma of food in preparation
Chicken, cold meats and salad makes a great combination,
With peppermint fridge tart and homemade ginger beer
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.

The white Christmas scene you may not find,
A warm summer's day comes to mind
A gathering under trees would never be *****
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.

So blessed we are to be together
Enjoying this day in fair weather
Without Rudolph the red nose reindeer,
Welcome to my holiday home at this special time of year.

We will end off the day with a birthday cake on a tray,
Just a little reminder of my “special” day
Extra indulgence with everyone near
Welcome to my home at this special time of year…

Premium Member Crystal Magnificent Morning

Crystal Magnificent Morning

You should see LA
In the crystal magnificent morning of continuing time.
It is a magic that has to be seen to be believed,
And yet,
So few have truly seen the show.
The LA sunrise is the unknown movie,
When the eastern sun slowly rises,
And with hot rays searing the air like electric swords in battle,
Baking the Big Enchilada,
Baking those tall high rises
Like big meatloaves in a garden oven.
That’s what I see from here in the mornings,
Here in my Kasbah.
I see all you lost people out there,
Lost as lambs in the dark pastures,
I know who you are.
Don’t think I don’t know.
I know what it’s like to be insanely bored.
I know what it’s like to be depressed,
To be sad.
I know what it’s like to want to die.
I sit up here all day waiting for my girl to show up,
And I imagine
And I think
And I dream;
Dream of climbing mountains above the clouds,
Of getting through Joyce’s Ulysses all the way to the end,
Of taking Norma Jeane into my arms
And staring into her sad lost eyes
And kissing her with excruciating urgency.
These are, indeed, the dreams of a sad lost man.
Green Onions. That’s the song!
Green Onions was playing on the radio that morning.
Booker T. was her last lover…
And not I…
As she reached for the phone.
“Help me, Jack. They’ve killed me!
They have taken my clothes, and my soul.”
Indeed, I know what it’s like to want to die.
“What good is all this?
What good is all this money and fame?
A person works and strives and struggles all their life,
And what do you get in the end,
When all is said and done?
A funeral.
A 1962 funeral with all the trimmings!
It’s not worth it, Piggy, darling.
It’s just not worth it.
Please hold me in your arms.
I am afraid of the dark.
I am afraid of being alone in the darkness of my grave.
Please Piggy! Don’t let them bury me!
Now kiss me hard.
Now make love to me.
I don’t want to be afraid anymore.”
You should see LA
In the crystal magnificent morning of continuing time.
It is indeed a magic that has to be seen to be believed.
Goodnight Norma Jeane.
Good night America.
It is time for another screaming sunset.

Winter dark...solstice etches itself
on texture of bleak silhouette
ebon in fervor...cycle’s lymph
grips the inked winds halving the cleft
between old eve and fresh sunset
as morn falls on dry ice...asleep,
yet kismet unlocks ...creatures reap
harvest of new moon’s oath...to keep.

We call to you oh Mother Night
through dances bold... in purity,
a circle cast in pearled delight
from dusks impressed by sanctity
our candles burn for life’s bounty
lyrics ole trill...magic-soft
elements fuse...an alchemy
of holly sheen to ride aloft.

Freyja, one with Mary...bewitch
within the dark of darkest night
we dance the fire with trimmings rich,
your blessed radiance... stars ignite
as womb brings forth...a child of light
one tender spirit filled with worth
a promise of new Yuletide bright
the gift of word...made flesh...son’s birth!
