Premium Member A Time to Reflect

Quite far we have traversed, in pursuit of goals we chose,
Through troubles and trepidations of seasons in throes;
Sometimes reveling sunshine, sometime in glum of shadows,
Always together~ on barren terrains, or verdant meadows.

In albums of yore, we ruminate now, turning pages of life,
Banishing anguish of feelings-forlorn, fuming in strife;
Reminiscing in moments passionate, of love sublime,
Treasured in memories-beloved, accumulated over time.

Harboring wisdom, inlaid in life’s waning phase, as we age,
In realms of reflections, insights-sapient, now we engage;
Learning from knowledge gained, from choices we made,
Accepting with grace, laments of secrets, as yet unsaid.

Regrets unmitigated, voice remorse of unuttered sigh,
Seeking empathy from goodwill of repentant goodbye;
As life tallies good versus bad, that introspections confide,
Eying a tranquil state of mind, devoid of hate and pride.

It’s time to reflect, it’s time to mend, it’s time to befriend,
As journey of life, beaming content, approaches its end;
Living final days in covenants revered, humbly we penned,
Elevating self, in peace of bliss, to heavens we shall ascend.

To Finally See You

Grinding you in the coal black mortar of my expectations,
I know your substance is not one to powder under impact
And yet I work here, feverish, to prove my trepidations wrong
I grind you, harder against the walls, and you never powder,
You are shards of glass, getting smaller and smaller,
Cutting through the walls, straight into my skin

I cry out in a thousand minuscule pains,
As you enter mercilessly into my bare flesh
Tinkles flair as the wind blows upon the incisions
I sparkle in the night of our plight,
Terrorized by the horrors I have constructed,
Toying with you… you…the finesse tool to my agonies

You gained control of me like a mimed puppet master,
The binds I had tightened upon you asphyxiating my sanctuaries,
Tied along you, and twined around me
Silent, smiling, seething…
You begged me to scream
Your glass shards icing into my pupils, through my brain,
And out into the recesses of all my verbalized fears

I shove the remaining shards into my fleeting sight,
A hawk screeching, being stabbed in the eyes by its own feathers
Expelling blood and tears …matter and might,
All I wanted to do was finally see you…
To take in the scent of my grounded version of you

So long though had I whiffed in the potent poison you always were,
Too long, as it no longer has the same effect my nostrils numb for…

Premium Member Life 2022

Life, a fleeting dream, warbling on meadows:
A season of spring and season of snows;
Sometimes in sunshine, sometimes in shadows,
Joy of autumns and woes of wintry throes.

And it journeys on, vying gleam of dawn
Only to confront grief of fate forlorn:
Of conquests lost, trepidations bygone,
Of nightmares roiling reveries of morn;

Lamenting goodwill that yesterdays tossed
And despairs of hardships hurdles doled out
Until bridge of life triumphant steps crossed,
Where blossoms of success its prairies sprout.

Where fruits of life on trees of acclaim grow
Claiming winsome now, defeating sorrow,
Lauding bliss sublime, free of grieving throe,
Cherishing today and dreams of morrow.

Speak To Me

Speak to me my desire
where your hillsides come alive
wrap your legs around the beauty
riding long where blueberry thrive

drift down within starlight's fire
flushed against an alabaster sky

rage, rage
bed these trepidations
rupturing through valiant vapors
once thought dormant
now alive

speak to me my desire
where words come to unwind
in the secluded and mysterious
recesses of my mind

Premium Member Alice Assaulted An Antelope

Amazingly, Alice assaulted an antelope
Because Bobby’s beavers became bold,
Considering cantilevered canines
Deliberately devastating donor’s doled.

Evelyn entirely excited electric eels
Failing forlornly from forward fencing,
Gaining ground gathering genuine gold
Her happiness heralded high financing.

I indicated initially incapable innocents
Justifying joyous juxtaposition jousting
Keeping kind Kenneth’s kindreds knit
Losing language like legally lost lusting.

Maybe minding manners means more
Neither newness nor novel necessary,
Occasionally opening old occlusions
Promises perfectly positioned pituitary.

Quite questionable quicky quirks
Rage rampantly removing regulations,
Summarily startling some supervisors
Touching their tempermental trepidations.

Until unusual undertakings understood
Veritable vigilantes visited volunteers,
Wildly waiting where we wandered
X-citedly X-iting X-istential X-ospheres

Yonder youthful yaks yielded...yikes!
Zebras zigzagged zestfully ziggurat-likes.

The Perils of the World

THE PERILS OF THE WORLD
When the truth is born, lies die.
The perils of world are caste.
To those who desire a greater aspect, the birth of concepts is conceive once again.
The liar will manifest in iniquity.

Counter-clockwise the table turns.
No warning has been given to anyone.
Then again, all know right from wrong.
Transgression will form even when the universe is rightfully shown.

A brick wall without reflection damned as hell.
A man with no principality is the resident.
Of course, he had choices; however, he did not chose well.
He wished upon and now he dwells.
The world is foolish to know that peace is given by the omnipotent.
Therefore, the perils of world are caste once more.

Gist, fools come unto God.
Yes, you were born to be free.
Yet, you have cause your tribulations and trepidations of today.
Repent your sins and refine your religious ways.
Therefore, the miseries of the world will fade away.

When the truth is born, lies die.

Premium Member Trepidations

Fantasies take fledgling feelings,
far beyond infatuation.
For when passion's flame ignites;
it burns with pure exultation.

Hypnotized by your sexy smile;
I believed you truly loved me.
And my altered reality
showed me what I wanted to see.

When we'd share intimate moments,
my doubts would swiftly slip away.
Yet, you took advantage of me,
deftly leading my heart astray.

Stunned by betrayal and deceit;
a sea of tears morphs into fear.
Your lies have muddied the waters;
now my future's no longer clear.

An eruption of emotions
explodes in all of its fury.
And facing an onslaught of hurt;
anger becomes judge and jury.

Yet, despite my trepidations,
I admit, I will miss your charm.
But when I'm tempted to forgive,
my broken heart sounds the alarm.

Premium Member Controversy

For Natalia Kills

Are the majority
of things in
life controversies?
It seems like
there is always
another side
of the story
You have to
maneuver delicately
amidst the minefields
of trepidations that
pester your
daily routine
Even simple decisions
can cause angst
Who to go out with?
Where to go? When?
Others are involved
making it hard
to appease everyone
Such is life

Premium Member My Foolish Heart

To feel foolish when used, becomes sadness
when her glimmering glow smiled to convey
and grew brighter when I found love's madness
as trepidations and fears never outweigh
the time we spent seemed an endless span
and awakened passions of fiery blood
kisses as many as the ocean's sand
as fragrant as a flowering rosebud
my heart's foolish pain is easy to find
roses always die when plucked and thrown down
and leave memories too fresh to unwind
inside my heart, a lonely fool was found
could that I look fondly upon those days
she was so beautiful, her beauty stays

Life Is a Dance

With you, life's a dance to the music of time;
lilting and lifting, ethereal steps fly.
I lay my head on your chest, beating sublime,
calmed by your presence under a stormy sky.
In your ear, I whisper my sorrows and cares.
One touch transmits an energy and my prayers
are steps danced to music weaved through silence
fused in song; notes conducted as dreams commence .

Our steps unite in starlight, gliding as one.
Mine are cautious and pensive; yours, more daring,
more bold. Bodies meld into one shape, undone
puzzles misplaced, mistakes forgiven. Baring
all, no secrets untold. Your arms empower;
you are my wailing wall, my strength, my tower.
As you lead me, we dance through celebrations,
through trials, steps refined despite trepidations.

Autumn Moon

In the golden glow of a lover's moon
With a soft breeze caressing darkest night
The quiet lane with leaves was strewn
Expectant hearts and wide eyes bright

The bards and poets paint romance
With dreams and hopes of deep, rich hues
And in Madrid we took our chance
As our love donned it's dancing shoes

That first embrace and sweetest kiss
Our nervous smiles in moonlight shone
Floating emotions of swirling bliss
All doubts and trepidations gone

In our lives we'd known such sorrow
Illness had taken your husband's life
I never thought there would be tomorrow
As cancer had taken my dearest wife

In the Autumn of our lives we know
To take that cliff edge chance was right
And as we embrace in moonlight's glow
We'll ne'er forget that October night.

Premium Member A Darkest Night Too Brightens In Dawn

When I ruminate in trepidations forlorn,
Darkness traversed in search of dawn,
Vying fertile shores, oceans I crossed,
Nightmares that my dreams doled out;
Looking back now, how I fondly recall--
In those hardships success was born.

As I watch frigid woes glinting on snow,
Winters that melt and in rivers flow,
Parched-leaves tinting autumn’s glow,
I wonder how seasons in throes know;
Behind clouds of despair rises arc of hope.

When I spend today in tempests bygone
Brooding in defeat of conquests lost,
Yesterdays that were callously tossed;
I once again follow footsteps of the past
Imprisoning my triumphs of tomorrow
Arresting winsome ambitions of now.

Learning the lessons from where I was
I reassure anxieties perturbing my life:
Travails of turbulence won’t last long,
For a darkest night too brightens in dawn,
A rainbow forms after a storm is gone.

So, I clasp the hand of a leisurely walk
Unfettered by constant tick of time clock,
Passionately answering call of my heart
Bequeathing moments that forever last.

Trepidations

In my golden sunken eyes

In see the future of my life

Fraught with uncertainty

A name without sanctity

I made a world of desires.

Lost along the line of fires

A dreadful isolated life,

Where I had so long survived

The showdown begins with the start

The ray of hope falling from my heart

I pray for the grave which death promises to take

The life that my destiny gave

The endless voyage ended with despair

Oscillating between hope and despair

Now I sleep in complete silence

A soul free from turbulence…

Premium Member When I Believed In Her

Roses are red
Trepidations were you
Your affirmations from my kisses
Wouldn’t be enough
To get through to you

I would compile the wishes in our visions,
Candlelight laughter caressed the dishonor in your smile

And I would slow dance with your embattled tears,
Empathic gestures where you are the only sunshine
Who matters

Violets are blue
Like the skies which I sought for us to fly
But you wanted to hold me from a distance
With welcomed whispers on text

Now, I disconnect this line to your recycled insecurities.
While I water the flowers of my present,
To grow a new tomorrow

Hoping the dirt in your lyrics will one day embrace the rain.

Tick Toc

Tick tock, tick tock, tick, time ticks tirelessly, tick.
Tricking trance’ers, testing too.
Touching tenderly, thoughts, tick.
Takes time to think, take time, tick.
Try to transcend to the tested table tops.
Tinker, tickle, take the time-tested transitions,
Transcribed testimonials, tear touched, the trials,
Tribulations, telling tales, traditions, trepidations.
Treacherous, the track, turns to terror, tripping traps,
Taking time, the torture, the terseness,
The time taken, time the teacher, taunting.
Takes time to think, to thwart this teasing
Time taker, tick-tocking, tick-tocking.
Troubling, twisting thoughts that truth testified,
Tangible the ticker, to touch, to trash, tick tock,
Tick toc… trashed!
