Burning Bushes Treacherous Cargo

"Burning Bushes Treacherous Cargo"

They say hell
is on fire

but there in
The Lawrence Forest
exist many,
burning bushes
waiting on deliverance
delivering messages,
hidden shadow angels
waiting for their
Bardo exodus

they are
allowed to
come and go
but they are
drawn back
to their torched
habitats
like moths
to flames

their footprints
scorch the missing years
in the desert sand,
the place of the great undoing,
and through that wilderness
broken they glide across
the slippery mossy passages
towards the banks of Styx
waiting at the River’s edge
with tokens for the
Elysium visits

twin flames
lost souls
for once
and all
clearly see
the other
for what
the other is

you will not see
them clearly
unless
the match
is well lit,
they carry
their own light
in the shadows
they shapeshift

a staggered procession
they come and go

exchanging contracts
where sentences
are despatched;

the words
with a life
of their own
are released
like promises
in the flow,
returning in the
wake of the boat
the Ferryman
takes them
journeying
through

strange channels
deep and unclear
towards
the most clear
and shallow
some will say
treacherous -

cargo

transferred
back to below
so above
back to above
so below

burning bushes
treacherous cargo

Treacherous Moon

Moon my love and shining knight.
I waited for you last night.
Shivering in anticipation
then desolation.
Lately you did not shine.
Darkness I did not mind
but your rejection was unkind.

Oh treacherous Moon, on whom
were you warming last night?
You even took the stars to entice
and put sparkles in her eyes.
Your splendour I thought was all
mine, stupid me blind-eyed.
I was never in your designs.

Pierced by insects in the dark
pests of paradise when we part.
Real darkness was in my soul
where confusion had taken hold.
Thoughts tormenting my mind
deceit, lying and worst of all,
the cheating kind.
Nerves stretched to ease the pain
taunting thoughts eased in, like rain.

Moon you promised me wings to fly
even a slice of the sky but you lied.
In the mirror I looked for a reason.
A beauty no longer but a face well
seasoned.
Stampeding thru life with pieces
falling apart.
Losing all but the wrinkles and the
scars.

The mirror never lied twas why,
it never was a companion of mine.
Staring back was a reflection so true
it stunned, turning my grey hair blue.
It was never Moon, it was You.
You were the cheat and the liar,
suppressing all my desires.
Those I loved you pushed them away
You kept me dreaming where the
palm trees swayed.
Thoughts and actions misconstrued
I blamed it all, on The Moon.

Have you ever tried, no REALLY tried
                        to not sneeze
                        to not scratch
I did, if I said no, I would have lied
But in doing so, all attention
                                                  in your head
                                                  in your body
                                   goes into focus on prevention
You can't do anything else anymore
                                      All muscles
                                      In action
To stop you.... All of your body feels sore

***

Tourette is a strange inhabitant
I didn't invite him, he just stays
I can suppress him, for just a little while
Hold him under, keep him away

The worst is feelings of shame
for a condition I cannot control
And the terrible bullying
Wounding my very soul

So please if you meet someone strange
Don't just discard them at first sight
Try to be patient, benefit of the doubt?
And know about their internal fight

If you manage, only for a little while?
You made this little person smile :)

Treacherous Stride

Unsteady stride, feeling weak, deflates any thought of pride. I have to pull it
together, find my stride.

Caught with my guard down, never saw it coming, the blow to my heart was
painfully numbing. Feel like I'm stuck on a merry-go-round, going in circles, never
gaining any ground.

I've been smitten by love many times in my life, but never before been cut to the
bone by such a cruel knife.

Treacherous their ways
    without sunlight's rays
  Paths of sleet and ice
break our limbs in a trice

Youths may look, leap and laugh
Elders dare not make this gaffe

The Treacherous Heart

It beats and pounds it gives life
to give or to steal
the treacherous heart

Under the gray velvet sky, treacherous winds sketch memories for you,
The closed window cannot stop the pain that pierces your soul deeply,
Beyond the horizon, another thirsty soul seeks the same breath of wind,
Like a wild river carving its path through the stones of silence.
Open your eyes and look deep into my silent gaze,
Your path is woven from memories, but ahead lies an endless trail,
You are not at the story's end, for hidden promises await you,
Not now, not yet, for the stars have not said all they have to say.
In the silence between heartbeats and the murmur of the wild wind,
Lies a truth like a shining diamond in the dark,
A silent call to step further on the path of life,
Until the moon caresses your sleep with its gentle light.
You are here, constantly becoming, ready to rise from the ashes,
To face the storms with your steadfast and endless courage,
You are alive, you are now, you are here, and your story is still being written,
It has not ended yet, for infinity awaits you with open arms.

Treacherous World

I raise the curtain
And I know it beholds
Treachery,
Holds a key to the vault of hate
The spot light brightens
Those reflecting glass surfaces
Blurs the vision
I'm almost petrified
The voice from the back
Perplexed me
And those souls lingering css
Beneath my feet and in front of me
Try to manipulate me
I know I'm not their puppet
And I have a life of my own
A life I can judge on my own
And the path that I am in
But they don't even try "trying"
To understand me
I have a dream
And I move a step
But every time my feet moves
They intercept
Again and again
Revulsion conquers my heart
I know where I am walking to
But the road move me to different place
I was walking in the path of hope
But I'm strangled in the path of betrayal

The Treacherous Heart

O Dearest One, Please Forgive
These hands ...
Once traced your most innermost person
These vile hands!
Have exploited you, tearing to pieces that trusting heart.

O Beloved One, Please Forgive
These eyes ...
Which discovered each buried desire
These wicked eyes!
Now blind to you, outstretching for help.

O Darling One, Please Forgive
These ears ...
In which you entrusted such vulnerable secrets
These hateful ears!
Now deaf to your anguished cries.

O Precious One, Please Forgive
This heart ...
Upon which you rested your own weary heart
This evil, treacherous heart!
Now poisoned by these sins against you.

O, My Only Love, Forgive Me!
For I have wronged you in the worst way.

Hacking the Fact

Secret eyes
hide behind a smile
the jokers grin
masking a deliberate betrayal

Misdirection and diversion
the covert sneak offender
working in the hush-hush
thinking the fooled
will never know any better

Trust the stiletto
when the lips are sealed
and silencing
is the fault of liars
when they are revealed

How the sleepless ballet
tip toes through the night
swirling in a caul
of suspected lies
but the eyes of deception
know full well the game of smiles
petulant tears
and angry retribution

Deceit engenders separation
the waltz of togetherness
never makes its connection
inside the embrace
something still remains hidden
and truth and deeds
form a treacherous liaison
and out of sight is out of mind

Who will ever know
who walks within the cloak-and-dagger
the perplexity of a tale-to-spin
and then fears the disclosures backhander
do you know
did you know
and panic will find a certain innocence
when lips become unsealed
communications with an uncertain reticence
but silence
is always the fault of liars
when they are revealed

TREACHEROUS HEART

Oh, my treacherous
Heart,
How much I hate you,
Each time you accept
Ridicule
As
Reward for your noble
And
Precious love!

The Treacherous Rocks I Stumble Upon

Seriously wounded as a helpless, moaning soldier
dying on the bloody battlefield,
I tread a trial not foreseen by me...
seeing my expectations wane in blurry visions.

My road was smooth and wide
without perils that a travel often encounters;
your uncaring attitude and oblivion
are the treacherous rocks I stumble upon.

My generosity is not cherished with appreciation,
giving should be a selfless act expecting no returns;
my well overflowed with the purest water,
and I refreshed your thirsty soul in times of distraught.

Dearest of all, you kept coming back to receive more
and with open hands you waited for your gift,
I filled them with whatever I had bearing self-need;
sweetest of all, a stained conscience brings on defiled love.

I could beat these rocks with my fist and bleed,
lay down and painfully die to end my frustrations and avoid self-pity;
would it be worth doing it and earn perennial damnation?
Driving down this road some late morning, you will spot a corpse
unrecognizable as a mingled car that crashed at high speed and not stop.

Most adored of all, trudge the same road I trudged
and stumble upon the rocks that fell from the mountaintop,
then look at that sheep-shaped sky ready to thunder and explode.
Most loved of all, never fear...my umbrella will shelter you from raindrops.

Treacherous Confusion

I am just confused..
I realize that I infuse
your life is complicated yet so satiated
with desire and so left unsated
spoken and fated I leave you to rot and blessed
I forgot
What is it that we were talking about?
I simply haven't the slightest
I want to be with the highest
Truth be with you and I am with you
Leave me with you
I strive to be you
I'd like to leave you
I'd like to see you
I'd like to jump off a bridge with you
end my life cut my soul into pieces
be with me now or I will just devour the misses
I simply can't I can't be loved
I am a pure hell
I am so destraught
I never forgot the pain that was brought
I am devoured by the tiniest things
Consumed by your soul
I judge you today
I simply can't hold you
I want you to sway
See my decision
not in derision
be kind and soft hearted
let me be so startled
I jump
You jump with me
I starve
you now feed me
I thirst
You quench it for me
I love
You love and adore me.

Pray For Peace

Pray for relief and pray for peace.
Pray for you and pray for me.
Pray for the pain that I cannot see,
and the people homeless with nothing to eat.

Pray for the world in this treacherous time.
Pray for the truth untold - and those living a lie.
Pray for the bold - that they continue to try.
Pray for the old - they know love and don't cry.

Pray for the deaf and pray for the blind.
Pray for those hurting and acting unkind.
Pray for our sins, pray for forgiveness.
Pray more of us know what love is.

Pray for my soul - insignificant in time.
But was given this gift-
So I pray in rhyme.
