Premium Member Winter To Spring - Tet

Snow
Falling
Creating
A white carpet
That dazzles us with its sheer brilliance
Spring arrives and the carpet is no more
Buds now appear
Birds singing
Flowers
Bloom.

Waves
and spume
tickles toes
as I paddle
on the shore ... reliving my childhood days

Sweet memories come flooding back to me
a tiny tot
having fun
in the

Undying Love-Tet

Oh,
My love…
Where hath thy,
Gone? In deeper,
Sorrows where slings, arrows, and swords are drawn…

For I will love thy ways forever still,
In foolish dreams…
Love doth spill,
Beyond…
Streams.

Premium Member Dinner After the Dance - Tet

I
dance with
the ocean
jumping blue waves -
soaking in its stretch of sun-drenched beauty

When the sun sinks low, I dine with the sky
as I devour
dusk's hues and
imbibe
peace.

Viet Nam has left many with mental pictures
Images, that some, just couldn't forget.
And when it was over and troops were home
Many vanished, living alone with their regret.

Some found themselves living on the streets
Disrespected and blamed for an unjust war.
Spat upon by some, and psychologically ill
Now doubting what they had fought for.

My brother was a soldier mentally tough
Decorated and wounded during his 23 years.
Was it the pressure of being a civilian
That caused family to shed those tears?

Joe's name isn't written on the traveling wall
Nor does a granite headstone mark his spot.
Yet I count Joe D. among the living dead
Just another memory that time can't blot.

My brother has been missing since 1984

Tet Celebration

The dragons mottled the streets with colorful wonders..
As they danced, twisted and soared into the glassy air.

The Ao DAIs, like blazing flames,
Fluttered in endless joy on the first spring day--
The breathing gale hummed 'HAPPY NEW YEAR'.

Bouquets of daffodils and pots of lillies,
Ablaze, filled the outdoor markets---
Their dazzling wings unfolded as they welcome February.

Poping fireworks echoed from the soul of a city
To the heart of each individual---
Spring had now returned to Vietnam.

Silence, now,had hibernated,
Leaving the celebration of the Vietnameses to sail into the evening.

Premium Member Why Tet

Why
			             do I
                                always sigh
                             and start to cry
when romance comes to mind? Just for a while,
I savor past love's sweetness as I smile.
	                 Then come the tears
     	                      and the fears
	                          that sear
	                             hope.
	                                I
                                   do cope
	                          but being
	                       alone, seeing
others in love reminds me--time's fleeing.

nice
house had
christmas trees
and children sounds
asking, “Ma, is it time to come in now?”
oh how we stretched forth here and became grown
voices are still
haunting now
glory
gone
once
favored
domicile
all move in new
what fools destroyed your beauty day by day?

                       Bitter cold
                    Winter season

       A time for rejuvenation, rebirth

Smells Good
Tastes good too
Let me touch it

My fifth sense hears the complaints of my choice
What do I care

Tet Flowers

Many rose petals floating downstream on a gleaming river
They move so slowly, almost getting lost in the sun's white glare
The monks on the riverbank seem lost in idle reverie

Jules - Tet

Jules
Buoyant
Inspired
Sylph in his eyes
Lost in the fog where restive hearts reside
Will she surrender her passionate flame?
It's all he wants
To be named
Whispered
Craved.
