Best Sweet Tooth Poems
When I have a bag of candy
I have oh so many friends
They all come gather around me
But it don’t last, it always ends
I guess I aint that special
I’ve never been cool it’s true
Still I just wanna fit in
All I want is a friend or two
So I steal me another dollar
From daddy’s jacket behind the door
Then I head on down the street
back to the corner store
The man behind the counter
He asks me “What’s your choice?”
“Please, some red blue and green ones.”
I answer with in a quiet voice.
He hands me my bag of candy
I pray it’s a magical treat
That someone might then like me
and not disappear after they eat
They like jelly beans and jawbreakers
For my treats everyone pretends
I’m just like one of them
and we’re all the best of friends.
When I look at you
I lose control
I know I shouldn't
But I can't say no
Just a taste of sweetness
Upon my lips
Its belly fat and expanding hips
One doughnut begets two
Two doughnuts and why chew
Swallow them whole
Shove them in
I just can't get enough
Of eating them
A candy bar
So innocent and sweet
Just one candy bar
For a snack or treat
Before your through
How many did you chew
Sugar coma
Gets the best of you
Sip a soda and burp
Sip a soda bubbly flirt
Before the night finally ends
You've drank twenty cans
Candy is dandy
It makes you smile
Candy is dandy
You bloat like a pregnant cow
Candy is dandy
What harm no sin
Candy is dandy
For a triple chin
I scream with delight
Of ice cream tonight
The chills and thrills
I lose my will
No bowl I need to be gotten
With a spoon devour straight from carton
Chocolate syrup a can of whip cream
When your alone and can't be seen
Spray and squirt right into your mouth
Now this is what sweet is all about
Brown sugar bacon
Brown Sugar Bacon
BROWN SUGAR BACON
Is why Peter said eat pork
Cakes and pies
Straight to thighs
You start to swell
By eating until
Your belt buckle pops
Cause you can't stop
Eating those sweet sweets
Eating those sweet sweets

Sweet Tooth
She always asks for candy,
When we ask what she wants for her Day,
Or on Christmas she asks for pralines,
That come from far away.
She never asks for diamonds,
Nor an eco friendly mink;
Only some kind of truffles,
Or a gooey chocolate drink.
Jelly beans by the handfuls,
She keeps at her kitchen door,
I’ll want that candy dish in her will,
Just in case it fills some more.
We all just call her Sweet Tooth,
She never puts on any pounds,
If she did, we’d love her just the same,
For GrandMother is sweet as it sounds.

AP: Honorable Mention 2025
I confess I've been known to partake
Straight icing sans chocolate cake
I concede I shall never be lean
Pouring fudge without the ice cream
It's apparent my tool-shed doth grow
Baked cookies? Just gimmie the dough
It is rumored that I often spread
Peanut butter and jam (hold the bread)
From grandma I would often cajole
A sugar rush direct from the bowl
(Rejecting her kit for caboodle
Choosing filling minus the strudel)
I eat healthy! Want some examples?
Pay-Days contain protein that's ample
Orange Slices provide Vitamin C
Milky-Ways furnish Vitamin D
Cavities? My molars are mature
Cholesterol? I concur (THAT'S for sure)
Gotta change before damage is done
Take a walk? Um, later, Honey Bun...
You're not good for me, & you never were. I knew that all along. Your purpose in my life was only to satisfy. You sustained me for a moment, like chocolate to a sweet tooth. You were so sweet to me, darling. It's human nature to feel hungry, but around you I was starving and the only way I could be filled was with your temporary love. You were my favorite treat, my midnight snack when I was feeling down. You balanced out my lows until there was only an up. I now know why they call it comfort food. You comforted my mind and ego. Never my heart. You gave me a placebo affect that told my mind I was happy, and you gave me energy that made me feel young and fueled my self-confidence like no other. I was never foolish enough to let you get farther than that. I had food poisoning from all the rotten sweets I've had before you, even though your wrapper was different I knew once I thought I had you, I would be sick forever. So now we just sit forever and savor the indulgence, until one of us decides were no longer hungry. Until next time my sweet.
Nutritionist, diabetes or
dietician
All to be unheeded in my
sweet tooth's opinion.
For how can I abandon
That chocolate canyon?
And same goes for yummy
chocolate fudge
Eh to a trifle could I bear
any grudge?
Ah treacle or caramel pudding
And apple crumble needs no
bidding
The craving wishes to devour
the dessert
Few would desert a tasty jam
tart!
Not forgetting swiss rolls and
cup cakes
and whatever other
sweetmeats the baker bakes.
Ah custards, ice-creams,
muffins and jellies
the only deterrent perhaps, the
fear of rounded bellies
Only if the dietician would
recommend instead
to cut down on leafy grassy
veggie salad
For if there was for it a polling
booth
I'd vote in favour of my sweet
tooth!
Milky Way Snickers
yes I do have a sweet tooth
Mounds and Almond Joy
The sweetest
Flavored pleasure,
Love!
Chocolate covered pretzels
Chocolate toffee
Chocolate covered cherries
Chocolate almonds
Chocolate truffles
Chocolate
Mmmm!
*Note: Inspired by Laura's Sweet Treat Contest...
She wasn't much for romance
No need to wine and dine
But when it comes to chocolate
To her those were divine
Just give that gal some chocolate
Any time of year
And she will call you sweetheart
And you can call her dear
warm apple pie with vanilla ice cream on top
cookies and cream ice cream sandwiches
chocolate chip cookies baked to chewy perfection
all in abundance
this is the best dinner ever
we pull out the blender
and make some butterscotch milkshakes
we groove to white on white by danny williams
and you must believe me by the impressions
and then you suggest the betty harris version
of cry to me and jr. walker and the all stars version
of money (that's what i want) and i give you a
kiss for each of your suggestions
we enjoy our sweet, left field dinner
we enjoy genuinely liking each other
we enjoy the laughter that the total vibe of it all inspires
we enjoy the feeling of pure positivity as a whole
we enjoy this side of life, which, by all means, is rare
we enjoy our combined choices when it is left up to only us
we gladly substitute dap and high fives for kisses for.....ummmm.....dessert
Yesterday, not only did prose taste strange
but an unfamiliar maundering
settled it's silence
upon my tongue
with an unsavory absoluteness
only the mouth could define,
yet mine voices nothing
now today I feel like my heart
bears some sort of physical deficiency
as if all the blood and ink consumed itself
leaving me dryly inadequate
to write a poem
and these fingers have been fidgeting
with a sick kind of worry,
starving for a fork
that not only cradles clarity
but also quells it's holder,
whilst nourishing the belly
with palatable substance
What's that in your hand
What is it you have there
Is that delicious candy
I surely hope you share
I really am not picky
I love to try new one's
Close my eyes and taste
That I half the fun
I cannot help it
My sweet tooth it is bad
So can I have a piece
Of what is in the bag
Ok I'll tell you what
Stay there don't you leave
I'll go get a surprise
So delicious you will see
Here you go try a piece
Yes I made them myself
My favorite part is
The caramel when it melts
So with your pretty eyes
And that bag of candy
I could not hesitate
That was where you had me
I would also like to know
What's your favorite kind
I think I like them all
New ones I like to find
So if you share my taste
For those tasty treats
I'll open your eyes to a world
Of candy you won't believe
