Finding Happiness In Everyday Pleasures

Finding Happiness in Everyday Pleasures

Happiness is bathing in glorious, golden sunshine,
absorbing the beauty of sunsets deliciously divine.
Dancing through cool droplets of silvery rain,
feeling cleansed, refreshed, and reborn again.

Happiness is inhaling the enchanting perfume of a riotous rose,
enjoying tropical beach sand trickling and tickling my toes.
Stroking in wonder my new born baby’s silky skin,
celebrating life with all my loving kith and kin.

Happiness is gazing in awe at a twinkling, star-studded sky,
questioning, seeking truths, wondering how and why.
Taking slow deep breaths of intoxicating oxygen from the air,
praising and thanking the Almighty in fervent, silent prayer.

Happiness is waking up to my beloved’s caress and kiss;
hearing how much he loves me is just pure bliss.
Finding real happiness is like discovering coveted treasures,
and I continue to find it in simple everyday pleasures.

My poem above was inspired by the poem “Happiness” below, written by American Imagist poet, Amy Lowell (1874-1925). She was a woman of great accomplishment.

Happiness

Happiness, to some, elation;
Is, to others, mere stagnation.
Days of passive somnolence,
At its wildest, indolence.
Hours of empty quietness,
No delight, and no distress.
Happiness to me is wine,
Effervescent, superfine.
Full of tang and fiery pleasure,
Far too hot to leave me leisure
For a single thought beyond it.
Drunk! Forgetful! This the bond: it
Means to give one's soul to gain
Life's quintessence. Even pain
Pricks to livelier living, then
Wakes the nerves to laugh again,
Rapture's self is three parts sorrow.
Although we must die to-morrow,
Losing every thought but this;
Torn, triumphant, drowned in bliss.
Happiness: We rarely feel it.
I would buy it, beg it, steal it,
Pay in coins of dripping blood
For this one transcendent good.

Ode To Small Birds

A shiver of Appalachia
superfine sugar of maple
windblown through the spine
tingling in a burst of aortic air
Inhaled as though fresh but by
the mountains rendered spent
the slightest reminder of
organic perpetuation fiercely painful
and entirely disembodied, each moment
blanketed by eternity and the hereafter;
primordial yet ethereal, a shadowy glimmer
of final destiny.
(While) in the treetops, the heron and the wren
speak peacefully as they observe
the rising of the sun.

THE SCULPTURE

Dream girl carved by Pygmalion: Sculpture.
He framed her face with charm of bright Moon light
His painful passion brought pearly luster
glistening on her wide eyes in delight.

Superfine cut by chisel with skilled stroke
designed curves of body on perfection.
On each point emerald emotion broke.
     Elegant statue stood on completion.

Sculptor desired the statue as his wife.
His yearning tingled on earnest prayer.
How could the statue be blessed by life!
Her eyes blinked, she smiled at her creator.

     Statue turned Galatia in rapture.
Dream girl carved by Pygmalion: Sculpture.

True Myth

TRUE MYTH

It's you I love
It's you I adore
Aww! Why dost thou keep me ignore?
I thought you gave it a second thought.
I thought me you loved before
Not knowing it was just for friendship and nothing more.

My pain, My Relief
Memories of you wanders in my mind.
I haven't slept a wink
I keep me awake just to see you sleep
Your enchanting nearness to me
Like a heavenly Bliss.
How I so crave for your kiss.

It's real,
It's genuine,
It's love.
It's you I love, my belove
Yes I do feel the pressure
I seek ye not for only pleasure
You're my treasure.

My Agony, My Relief
They say "Men don't cry"
Yet over you I grief
How I wonder why me you've caused
So much mischiefs.
Love me for once, even just a brief.

You're superfine
My sunshine,
My shimmering wine.
My adoration for thee is divine.
Thou dost labour because of thee
What's mine is surely thine.

I'm neat not rough.
I'm gentle, I bluff.
I'm noble, I don't puff
Finesse I have enough
Oh! I wonder why to love me is tough
My Relief,
All I have felt is pain
Alas! What will be my gain?
If all what we shared was all in vain.

Premium Member The Charm of Beautiful Women

I had leaned on the bar of the balcony, when suddenly
My eyes and my mind have captured, from far away
A silhouette creeping down the steps and the stairs
Imitating a sassy ballerina with great skills and care
It's like a prima donna which was galloping gallantly
The mystical diva had an extraordinarily
Kif-kif style which could cause any man to shiver
She was so cute that I had bit really hard the palm
Of my right hand, as a sign of love, respect and envy
About fifteen meters away, I had found her so pretty
That my legs were frantically shaking. So powerful as a bomb
That I almost fell from the celestial clouds. The charm, beauty
And elegance of this muse were unparalleled
The Mighty Lord knows how to build wonders that are
Sensational, lascivious, wholesome, perfect even irreproachable
This angelic passerby had replied to my bonjour
Freezing me until her outlines and edges had classically detoured
Oh! Wonderful Lord, she was so fine and adorable
That my tongue had grown heavy and my face had sunk into the bay
The charm of beautiful women was superfine and mysteriously sassy
God knows when and how to make men sweltering and happy
Power lies with souls that are delightfully charming and flowery
O Woman! It’s very pleasant to dream at night and a little all day.

The Return of Our Masters

When the masters came breathing superiority
We became curious servants
They ruled us, they exploited us, they planted us
We cried, we laughed
They humiliated us, they enlightened us
We moan, we learn
And when they left because we clamoured
We celebrated freedom
Suddenly appear the masters again
But from among us
They redefine freedom in their context
And we hate freedom
They console us in harsher terms
And we become inconsolable
They exploit us until they extricate us
We mourn, we endure
They promise us the heavens, but in our dream
We see it fulfil
The dividends of our treasure they apportion to us
And in our grave, we recieve them
They offer us their acquired knowledge
But we clamour for transparency
They teach us the song of independence
On our lips they turn dirge
They speak the language of Democracy
And we discern Oligarchy
They teach us the principle of Federation
But the totalitarian version
If our former masters had not gone
We might have been taught better
We might have known better
We might have fared better
But with the return of our superfine masters
We are less than servants

Sandwiches Enough For Tommorrow

" SuperFine" Borrow Quarrious made his debut in a bout against his former tag team partner "Honey Mambo" Yurts Kussinov. The bout ended when there former manager Caul Fennish interfered using a folding chair to pummel both men. Caul Fennish is number one contender for $@$$$$$@!---$$$$@$$@ championship. ( Because of "Contractual Science") we can't speak the $@$$$$$@---$$$$@$$@ champions name, we can't recognize the title or show the match or title without distortion. The Collusion Illusion is a big deal!
Rambles Bassoonist wrested to a draw agains "Cattle"Stan Murphy, leaving a crowd at awe, but both men satisfied the onlookers when the
Promoters allowed the match to continue giving both men 10:00 minutes to settle the score. at 2:13 the member of " The Electric Audience" Rambles Bassoonist the victory via a "broken arrow" submission manuver. The former Game Pro Greco-Roman champion, out wrested his opponent in a crowd pleasing fashion.

Maybe it was the attire, or maybe these men just know where they stand. We do nd I t they had opposing views, and both went to a micro phone to air there point s of view, let's say members of the promotion saw something in letting these men go at it. No time to change the promoter said come as you are and two men clashed in an opportunity to showcase there talents. Drama "the Mingler" verses "Cash Money" Tenseultown Mannex Reeler went at it for a chance to queit the other. Ten mins nutes in a "Wicked-Wicked" back dropped found Mannex victorious.

Doctor Wolfgang Sinster and his Ganglioness Dax Savage ( "Crumbling Carl Savages sister) rocked the auditorium. A one-sided crowd saw
Guam's, Gaffa " Main Man" Chovey-Claud meet the conclusion of the best of seven series. The score was 3- Gaffa, to 3 Wolfgang Sinster. At 25:54 Sinster used a fysterfall fistdrop, into a spinning toehold for the victory, he now is number one contender to Talus Championship Gold. He will meet the winner of his opposition, either "Sumthang Special" Sammy Gordillo who is up 3-2 verses "Mumbles" Mantel Darbow. The winner goes head to head with " the guy from the other side" to become 2020 Talus Champion, this is the only championship which is relenquished so the title holder can claim there number one World title bout, and it's rubber match.

Tether Me

Take my hand and tether me
my fingers outstretched,
long and unnatural,
being pulled gently, slowly,
vibrations slowing.

Don't let my fingers slip away --
do not release my weight
or am I weightless?
Which second or millisecond
do we transform from weight to ether?
The soul knows and prepares for lift
and for loft.

I see you now, expressionless,
or crying -- maybe dying,
as I drift upward, speed increasing.

I see you and you grow smaller.
I'm flying now. Can you see me?
You are a pinpoint
much like an ink mark, superfine,
on paper that once recorded
who I was and
who you will continue to be.

Tether my memory now, dear love,
I fear I am a pinpoint too.

Joyfully reminisces affectionate Dad always caring for her.
acknowledges Grandma’s love and care with life-long gratitude.

The joy of inner child in mine still
flies flying kite up high on sky.
flows with paper boat to float in pool nearby.
dances and prances on puppet show.
           flashes on glow of rainbow.

Inner child of mine stays superfine

SUPERFINE SUNRISE

                    An amazing Sunrise!
                   A spectacular surprise.
We enjoyed from top of Tiger hill at Darjeeling,
               as watched with my siblings.

                    We were overwhelmed
When color formation started on firmament
                initiating simmering tone
                 as shown in specific aero-zone
                    gradually attaining medium strength

                          Bright brilliant shiny dazzling rays

                      displayed varied sun spectrum
                      pasted on sky-album.
                    Sun was still under horizon
                           but spreading cosmic tapestry
                            woven with mystery

                      of Nature’s creation and conformation.

Once I got the scope to visualize kaleidoscope
in collage of splendid gorgeous colors
                               slowly tending to fade
                                  in lighter shades
                                     gaining soft tincture,
leading vanish of ornate complex picture.
