Best Studying Poems
I am so inclined to read for I wish to know.
Although first it seems I have to understand the question which I seek to answer.
Unfortunately I do not yet have this question.
I would ask as many before me of love,
But as they have asked before and given the way the world still is,
To no success,
I fear that the question of love is not to be answered by humanity.
So then I just read.
I am torn from left to right, up and down,
About the existence of God from Voltaire
And the definition of the beautiful and sublime by Kant and Nietsche.
Contradictive the former is to the later.
So where then will I find some sort of universal truth, if such a thing exists?
I read more and I feel sick with a sense of digression from my first position.
I read of war
By writers who have experienced and had the knowledge to express it
With structure and form,
Writers that have passed times test and are regarded as the greatest,
Only to be contradicted by another who is held to an even higher standard.
I feel that I am watching this world pass by in third person,
But I believe myself to be waiting for truth that I can utilize
As a tool to make the best of my world.
Although I do not look to define love nor even read specifically about it,
I know it to be fact that answers lie somewhere in that single syllable,
Four letter word.
I believe this to be similar with my studies of literature
And all that the study entails,
To the way a scientist knows answers lie in the relation of gravity to magnetism.
But like them, I know not of a question,
I merely know that there is an answer.
In all of this said, I believe I have said nothing.
My previous sentence should define my life if I continue to look.
And so I turn to love once again,
Not to be defined but simply to act.
J’aime, and that should conclude my thoughts on the subject.
We were calculating theoretical yields on chemcollective
and somehow we ended up dancing to ”go left.”
We were finding oxidation numbers on labster
but somehow we started laughing.
We were balancing chemical equations on PhET
but now we’re singing “World we created” with hair-bush microphones.
Believe your competence - be impressed with your progress.
Attack every challenge with self-contained ease.
Armor yourself with confidence.
You’ll like the way you enjoy it.
*We started studying for school - weeks in advance of spring term - those names (Chemcollective, PhET, Labster) are tools for working out chemistry equations - like calculating theoretical yields from compounds. So we practice, practice, practice until we can do them blindfolded - or in pressurized situations like tests.
I sit in the study, a typing
The students around me revising
I punch at the keys
For as long as I please
My mind and body aligning
Looking back now, on my time in high school
I'm glad for the love, and even the pain.
My experience has been really cool-
Working Hard, putting knowledge in my brain.
The people I've met and the friends I've made
Have helped me to make me the person I am
To change my perspective, work and get paid.
Procrastinating, so I learned to cram.
Everyday I go to all my classes
Learning things to prepare me for college
Soon I will need to get some glasses
So I can learn all this good knowledge.
I'm willing to put the time in to read
Because I want to get a job, and succeed
Studying God
Will not heal us;
Becoming more God-like
Will.
It is just four days before our exams begin.
So, as usual, my mind is stormy,
Going crazy with sums and facts and myths.
While a part of my brain is trying to sing and dance,
A compass inside is drawing circles and bi sectors.
The other part of my mind is trying to solve algebra (like a detective).
During all this time, I’m juggling with the colonial era and the world wars,
While in one place, nanotechnology peels graphene from graphite.
Like a tornado, yards of poetry swirl all over my head,
Trying to get it all in order. I make 50-100 questions a day,
While turning a 7 page long lesson into a 1 page long note.
It’s quite like a hurricane to study so hard,
About until 11 o’clock at night.
But it’s well worth it.

Keep studying the Word, my friend,
For in it lies a powerful blend
Of truth and knowledge, wisdom and light
To guide your path both day and night.
Let it seep into your very soul
And watch as its mysteries unfold
Revealing secrets hitherto unknown
That will lead you to a life full-blown.
Study to show yourself approved
Of God and His ways so pure and true
Let His Word become your daily bread
And give you sustenance to forge ahead.
For, in studying you'll find the tools
To launch yourself from heavenly rules
And learn to walk in purity
As you seek to live in victory.
So, keep studying the Word each day
And let its truths light up your way
For in it lies the key to all success
And the power to truly live and bless.
Studying Each Fundamental
What we learned from studying each fundamental
Ended up being a terrible case which was mental;
Out were grossed,
After diagnosed;
We seemed to be so sad by becoming sentimental.

In colors this canvas reminds me of our plastic card table cover
The one in reds and blacks that helped us to learn bridge
Mom did not need it; she was an avid bridge player
But Daddy and the rest of us did. This is what I saw on first glance.
I had not thought of this card table cover in fifty years!
Next I spied my usual doddles – swirls, whorls, dragon zigzagging spikes
This looks like what I do when I am held hostage on a phone call
Usually by my great aunt, but sometimes by a wordy neighbor
Doodling on speed, is how I think about it.
If I had a nickel for every one of these I have drawn!
The blacks and whites are prominent.
Bits of red seem intentional, not as accidental as the lines.
Not sure where the greenish yellow color came from
Something mixed up by the artist perhaps,
Unsure if it even has a name.
Keep on studying
And enhance your mind
Fulfill your world with knowledge
Be gentle and kind
It is in you
Believe that you can be a success
Promote the positive
And just put yourself to the test
My 20-year-old-son told me
he had chosen a new 'Study Abroad' program for next semester
He left me wondering ~
What was wrong with the broad he'd been studying this past semester?
(Groaning yet?)
What is the little calf studying? We asked Farmer Blue.
Don’t ask me, his university college is down in Kalamazoo.
Always looking in those financial books, unsure why,
Says he might wander off to become a corporate guy.
The lone wolf was in a grouchy, grumpy, hungry mood
Snow rabbits were much faster than he remembered
He studied their hop slides in the frosty snow
These rabbit's foot marks were diminishing as he studied them
When did rabbits get so fast? He asked his wife.
Her distaff side of the family would have laughed at this.
Female wolves are better hunters, and they all knew it.
Lone wolf had a let's-save-face epiphany.
Maybe the rabbits let you catch them, he suggested.
His mate gave him a slow side look. She knew better.
The waning footsteps sparkled like rhinestones in the moonlight.
I hunt better in the spring, he told his wife, convincing no one.
Grace searched Yang with her eyes
And observed only size.
God knows she's not racial;
This Yang is not special...
Soon, she'll test him with food,
As his first exam good:
preferably an oat meal;
How with it he would deal:
If he'll nibble at it
Or pounce on it and split!
But Yang too watches her.
"She has with men gone far,
Mere veil her coat of fur;
Her first request: New Car!"
A dreadful day
cooped up inside
a book in hand
snow falling past the window
a great sorrow approaches
that book is not one you want
for exams are on the morrow
