Best Story Telling Poems
Along rails of ambivalent dreams,
Bittersweet yet luscious flashbacks
Take me back to my friend, the tactile moon – a
Quiescent basin of grace and alchemy: we would utter
And laugh about legends quite arcane from books
Chipped from eve’s daily flamboyant story – telling rites…
As willows stoop like night’s immolation for more
Replays of drama, our guiding star acts as an intercessor
For excuses to prolong near dusk's trail in our former home--
This quintessence of a young spirit’s hunger to journey
Far across moon-friend’s range in an endless, mythical glide!

Gun fire all around, bombs going off in the distance
It was some of the angry mobs and resistance
Father was the king of SafeHaven a small kingdom
Like all other kingdoms it fell in random
Fire started in the castle
And along with it came a battle
It was a distance memory now because the child has now grew
Many things in this child that made memories stew
My name is Mastrey, a young orphan who was there that night
Mastrey saw her in the distance and her father and mother in his sight
Everyone was loud that night and made all the children hide
But that evening Mastrey saw her mother and father die
She ran into the bushes in such a fright
And evil doers were running around with flashlights
Mastrey remember it as he distracted them
Her eyes was so confused with problems
Mastrey new that it was because of what just occurred
His feelings of what those people did was not awkward
The distraction worked, he went back to were she was
Hiding and very scared she was, he asked her, can you trust me just because?
Her answer that night depended on her lively hood
As Mastrey was their with his hand reaching out to her as he stood
Pulling her up from the ground he looked into her eyes that were SeaBlue
Mastrey had made a life long friend and love, She knew it was true
Next: My Story Telling, Who is this Princess
The night air made her feel tired
As she looked out side all the fences were wired
In the distance she hears crowds yelling
As she was to young to know they were rebelling
Father she asked where are we going?
Mother said to keep quiet and keep walking
Mother yelled in the night air
Father gave out a blank stare
They yelled run my princess run as far as you can
As that moment past her little feet pushed off and she ran
She ran to the nearest bushes and crawled into it to hide
She never smelled the air before as if someone just had died
As she lay on the ground under a bush she heard
A loud yell in the distance almost to absurd
My name is Angelica, I am just a young girl who does not know
Angelica just wants to live her life with help to grow
Angelica did not know what just happened she notice a figure in the distance
A little person just like her, a strong but gentle presence
Angelica saw the people who were shouting run off toward the voice
She was scared and she knew that she had to make a choice
Angelica fragile state was so confused and lost
She knew it will take burden on her at a cost
But in that moment of quietness a young but strong voice called out
Can you trust me just because? will you come with me with no doubt
My Story Telling Together In A Strange World
My story begins as all others,
jealousy, love, failure, success,
enlightenment, struggle,
happiness and despair.
As the leaf turns revealing-
the end, my tale.
Has more to be told.
Oh wait I forgot the bard...
Anticipatory overtones of indiscretion
Summoning the spare change of society
To rise up above normality
And to….
Super sonic microfilms of history
Telling a different story
A time when things were black and white
Preserved forever to a disk
Word spoken splices the audience
Full of eagerness and personality
Piercing each cerebellum
Downward to their heart
Nothing like the monotony of times past
Somewhat *****
Examining the inner scope
Kaleidoscoptically
Pierced nations of young hooligans
Dancing the night away
To a beat that doesn’t change
And loving it
Sticks make the stickular
Drums make the drumular
Pipes make the pipular
Cymbals make symbolism
Searching for fulfillment
In what we think will work
Hoping to chase the right road
But there is no right road
Life is just what it says
-Life-
Four letters put together one day
To explain or not explain everything
Giving us something to search for
And find true meaning
Trying to be the one
Who figured it out!
Giving us an outlet
An outlet for our minds to focus
No focus
-Dead-
Life definitely tricky at times
Not always what is expected
Maybe always the same
Day after day
The days go by and life lives on
Understanding the understandable
Not knowing why
But accepting
Taking the good with the bad
And moving forward
To me, that’s the most important part
Moving forward
Maybe I’m just a cowboy
Searching for new influences
Something that will make my art fresh
New, for lack of a better word
All that art really is
Something to look at
Make us think for a minute
And move on
Going back occasionally to reflect
Think about a moment in your life
Compare it to where you are now
Hopefully happy with the choice
It was troubling,
That is memorizing.
Think, thought
Write, blot.
Something, nothing
Come on anything.
Sentence structure
Get's me flustered.
Character-Plot
Think and Thought.
Smile, stand straight,
Don't twitter or flutter.
Speak, talk,
Knees unlock.
Succeed, destroy, forgive,
If it's not over soon, I won't live.
Look around
Don't space out
My face is red,
So I stare instead
Don't shake or quiver,
Just speak and deliver
Done-Great,
My feelings relate.
Upon walking I saw
The cutest lil thing
A dressed-up leprechaun
Carrying a shillelagh stick
With a long pipe in his mouth
And circles coming from his ears
It looked like rings of fire
Oh dear, oh dear, it was
Coming from his extra-long beard
As he strutted along, not a care
In the world, he starts to spin as
He twirls and twirls, unleashing
A strange glare
She get up and walks on the side of the train tracks.
She cant go back.
Her husband will hit her like that.
She is walking to the next city.
Mets a stranger and he says your really pretty.
She ask if he can give her a ride to a gas station, If he is not busy.
Gives her something to drink and makes her dizzy.
She wakes up on the side of the road.
With his dirty kisses.
She feels like she cant tell people about this.
She see a star fly by and makes a wish.
''This day i want to diss miss.
I miss my mom and dad's kiss.
I wish i was back in their arms.
So i could be out of the world's harm.
I fall for the Devil's charm.
Lord i want to run in your arms.
My life is in danger, so please ring the alarm''.-Mario Perez
Story telling
A cowboy stormed into town
He seems to be hell bound
To challenge and fight
Cuz he was uptight
But he came to an end
When he challenged an old friend
Who was quicker and real fast
Who clocked him in his ass
He’s not here anymore
So, they closed the door
The stories you tell...
we all find out
some good some bad
some fiction some fact
can harbor a frown
dragging you down
bring on a smile
The stories you tell...
embellish the words
throw in some curves
out of left field
some false and some real
pour out suspense
while riding the fence
a little do it yourself
The stories you tell...
lift to the heights
with truth and lies
stooping quite low
as if we don't know
some old some new
all done on cue
the raising of doubts
In the stories you tell...
A noun
Such as nothing
Seems as permanent..
A verb seems moving
And temporary and
A denizen of spacetime..
The story continues:
A noun is verbing
Seemingly storying
Hinting at wholeness..
Which completes yet
Another story telling
What cannot be told...
A canary pulled
The trick of his life
When a cat
Moved in for the kill
The canary hung on
An unlocked cage door
So, when the cat leaped
The canary slings open
the door and the cat
Leaps inside, the cage
Door slams shut
With the cat locked inside
He presses his
Pitiful looking face up
Against the cage, as if he was
Begging to be released
But the canary looks at
The cat, and then burst out
Laughing, he laughs so hard
That he keels over and falls to the floor

They giggle at my witch outfit, not realizing it is the real me.
I love the excitement of Halloween, it is a creepy night to be.
They are sharing their stories, no one listening to another.
Behind them stand their puffed-up father or grandmother.
The moms are all on brooms tonight, flying around the moon.
To hear them tell it, they are sexual beings who make Dracula swoon.
In actuality, the adults are who I care not a whit about.
I am listening to the little ones, their laughter and a shout.
Their stories are fascinating, they all have something to announce.
One is hopping beside a tiny toad; I see her skip and pounce.
In a notebook my muse is capturing their thoughts and ideas too.
They have terrific stories, that I will soon write up for you.
