Best State Of Emergency Poems

State of Emergency

After the wind stops blowing

We will pull down the shades

The thunder rumbles past our yellow, one story apartment.

Standing close to the foamy shores

I can hear the newscaster murmur its warnings of another flash flood watch.

I adjust my headphones, picking up a Vogue to pass the time.

Trumps Feeble, Limp, Rox... Zilch State Of Emergency

H.G. Wells..., ah...now there
without dark shadow of a doubt,
in my (myopic brown) eyes,
a prolific writer hooked hood accessorize
the English language, and captivated

populations, sans "The War Of
The Worlds" to realize,
with an assiduous presentation
convinced listeners, how
aliens did cannibalize

innocent Earthlings strictly via radio,
where rapt audience could actualize
"FAKE subjects" pretended to agonize,
yea of course after receiving
substance that did anesthetize

in an effort to minimize
potential melee erupting,
which feasible outburst,
could tinder, kindle, and antagonize
crowdsourcing masses,

who suddenly became repentant,
and sought to apologize
each to their personal deity, apprise
zing respective comportment, thus
the apprenticed faux presidential Don,

rather than agonize
over farcical shenanigans, where dissension
among rank ken file seems to arise,
could take page from said playbook
visiting storied aforementioned scribe,

whose spirit author might be able to authorize
and conjure creative satisfactory
acceptable non costly deterrent breadthwise
cuz, more anger will materialize,
particularly if monies summarily brutalize

for social services that benefit the 99%
myself and the missus included analogous to...baptize
with gentile invisible knifed incision
or if Semitic tolled uncivil lies,
asper emotional financial, mental...
painless process to circumcise

purportedly for best interests
of citizens at heart, but tummy
essentially acting counterclockwise
to the modus vivendi that underlies
the immigrant experience that peopled

United States Of America, who did colonize
at expense of rightful natives
scattered innocent tribes, whose demise
vis a vis any fact checker, would
clearly recognize as blatant lies!

State of Emergency

A bad virus

has taken state

South America's infection

complicates

Antibiotics

required to kill the germs

Open heart surgery

removes infesting worms

Gang leaders

Of the wild, wild South

"Jail Minds "

Casting spells about

Corrupted elements

Rob the people blind

Not a drop of water

Miseries of every kind

Hearts be strong

Nicolas Maduro falling down

This tyrant's time is done

Venezuela's freedom has begun

Victory's won

Living In a State of Emergency

Maybe we should embrace our own ends
As we would a lover
Who We rejected for too long
With her wild eyes.
Both will be too eager to see you.
One as a killer
And the other?
And the other?
The promise of spending nights in the emergency room
Will always be kept
Stuck watching silent tv sets.
Everyone listens for the nurse’s call.
The life that comes
After midnight
Wakes
flowers
Like orchids
Which bloom under moonlight
**** into the sunless waiting room
Which leads
Into the deserts of sexless sleep
with dry dreams
at its end
or as an applause.

Most of us would rather disappear
Into the movies
That only show retrospectives
where destiny will always ride
Unarmed
Though some of us wish he would pull
A hidden sword.
This would be preferable to
Say finding a letter tapped to your door
From some desperate friend
Who found a natural home in Bellevue
Or the bottom of the Hudson.
“come over at once”
No one around here waits too long
For you so don’t take too long
To visit.
You see,
 some of us look
To escape ourselves
And all our true loves by
Surrendering to the IR
To reach the gray ocean
With waters that are
Always cold
But never freezes.
Such moves require perfect timing
The dictates of the clock
Which I find too demanding
For me to find
The right words
To put on the page
Without risking absurdity.

Are you going to scratch at the
heavy metal door
“screaming
let me in?”

These films are all that is left
now
that innocent’s green dreams
born of our childhood
  has been recalled.
Experience is
After all
 a fetishist’s garden.
Where the vines reach for your gentiles
(As punishment
Born of Jewish or Catholic guilt)
With the sensation
Of pleasures burning
Some bitter afternoon that no one asked for.
Those are the hours when we lay around
In unmade beds designed for
 something dead
and forgotten
but holier than guru Mi’s ********,
where my mattress absorbs more sweat than ideas
of a future that comes from the point of a gun.

State of Emergency

We got another storm yesterday
third one in less than a week,
it's a repeat of last Winter
the days are looking rather bleek.

Another storm is on the way
over a hundred thirty centimetres so far,
running out of room to put the snow
people trying to shovel out their cars.

No parking on the streets is allowed
or the vehicles will get towed,
snow banks are getting very high
at a stand still we are, with snow covered roads.

The winds were extremely high last night
light snow being whipped around,
freezing temperatures and being blinded
while snow quickly fell to the ground.

Snow drifts in the yard
grow higher with every storm,
I am staying in the house
where I can stay toasty warm.

Maybe I can close my eyes tightly
and not watch the storms pass me by,
hope Spring will show up soon
while the drifts keep reaching for the sky.

Our city called for a State of Emergency last night and it's lasted all day today. The city just put the grader on my street a few hours ago. A lot of the city streets, are only down to one lane driving. The weather is calling for another 2-5 centimetres tomorrow and another Nor' Easter comes up behind it, for Thursday and Friday. Another 40 centimetres or more is expected for those two days. They've reported it could last a week or more.

Father Winters Arsenal*** (State of Emergency)

State of emergency
gives me the urgency.
Save-A-Lot,
the dollar store,
and pit stop to my pharmacy.
I mean my pharmacist,
to pick up a gift.
Swift,
I walk with a pimp limp,
stiff,
from the blistering cold.
Light snow,
mixed,
ice,
rain,
and fifty mile per hour winds
blow,
my Afro dances along
to father winters blizzard song.
Strong,
I continue my mission home.
I roam,
alone,
stoned like a criminal.
Heavy flurries flow,
unlimited weaponry,
from father winters arsenal..

State of Emergency

State of emergency,
stressed with much urgency.
Snow flurries,
blind me,
I can't find my way home.
I roam,
in a foot of snow,
alone and cold.
I will not fold,
Trudging through this powder white.
Vicious winds blow,
chapped lips,
the hair on the back of my neck grows,
winters might shows,
sleet, into snow,
then back to sleet.
two feet,
ice and snow,
temperatures low.
In this dreadful winter storm.
We are in a State of Emergency,
Father winters aggression scorns,
left alone at home
with hot chocolate
and a scone...

We are in a State of Emergency........

DEMOCRAZY IN A STATE OF EMERGENCY

DEMOCRACY IN A STATE OF EMERGENCY

Yea how shall we start with
Dancing to tune of craze
Walking up at a lever so aching
Dragging with demons all days
Who did we offend, which way

I'd thought of asking for bail
Was only given state of bill
In clouts juggling up in their stakes
Who'll will deliver Nigeria

Hope promised
Hope denied
Peace promised
War reinstated
At every 4year, a rant
At all the 4years, lordship

One man enriched
All men enslaved
Stealing branded with white
Pocket gutted in corruption

Who'll dare to ask them?
Remember the carcass filed the street
Streets and cities in desolation of bones
Gathered them the corpses they denied exist

Who'll then want to be among anonymity
Watch as they make themselves emperors of the days
To democracy twisted in their craziness
The odds found odd to display in placards
Asking horrendous demand to shuffle their needs
In asking amiss to the root of their course

Who does not know they're birds of same feathers
Free from '60s , enslaved in millennia
To extent their youngs moved on the slavery
To land of unknown to mothers, in coined of japa
Because their mothers did not care to mussle them with milk
Thus, went to crave the pieces fallen from tables of the fatlings

Who'll rebuild our flag
Who'll restore our anthem
Who to trust in horn of doubt
Or we'll waive our country bye in a neck-locked forever?

State of Emergency

Your eyes, a storm, a captivating fire
Pulled me in close, fueled by raw desire
Whispers started, shadows in the night
Tales of broken hearts, in pale moonlight
A legacy of pain, a trail you leave behind
Twisted satisfaction, tearing up your mind

State of emergency, declared inside my head
Sirens scream your name, a warning I have read
I'm not apologizing, for slamming shut the door
You're a hurricane of chaos, I can't ignore
A State of emergency, saving what's left of me
From guilt hungry, eternally.

Wear your father's madness, a crown of thorns
Repeating patterns, since the day you were born
Chasing fleeting pleasure, power in the fall
But guilt's a hungry monster, it will swallow all
Reconciliation's empty, without a debt repaid
A license to destroy, another life betrayed

A State of emergency, declared inside my head
Sirens scream your name, a warning I have read
I'm not apologizing, for slamming shut the door
You're a hurricane of chaos, I can't ignore
A State of emergency, saving what's left of me
From guilt hungry, eternally.

We're oil and water, baby, a volatile mix
You crave the drama, I just need the fix
Of peace and quiet, sanity restored
I said what I said, and every word I meant
Is the truth, my dear, a line you can't erase
You got what you want, a tragic, empty space.

State of emergency, declared inside my head
Sirens scream your name, a warning I have read
I'm not apologizing, for slamming shut the door
You're a hurricane of chaos, I can't ignore
A State of emergency, saving what's left of me
From guilt hungry, eternally.

Eternally forever...
In a State of emergency…
Gasoline and Fire
You're not me… And I’m not you...
