"Shhh,  look there they are.
No one believed me.
Now you see them too.
 A blessing of Unicorns.

If anyone knew where they were
it would be the end of the Unicorns.

The one with the wings is the Queen.
See how sad she looks.

She has separated herself from the blessing.

She loves the other Unicorns
but she is dealing with her own issues.
They love her, she knows that.

This is different.

She has to deal with this herself.

She knows she is loved.
She knows they all care for her.

Deeply!

She is their Queen after all.

What?
A song?
Maybe!
I don't know.

I brought poetry.
I brought soup.
I have to try.

I hope she believes me.
She is going to be fine.

I dreamt about her.
In the dream her wings were spread.
You should of seen them spread
they must of spanned farther than the horizon
higher than the milky way.

In my dream her magic horn was a beacon,
it was leading her through the dark
but she was also a beacon for everyone else.
Everyone who was trapped in the  darkness.
She led them too!
She always has.
She is our Queen after all.

 I stood there amazed
she was magnificent.

She waited patiently and the light filled her.
She knew it would happen and she was right.

That hand from up above
the one she always trusted
filled her with light.
She is the Queen and in my dream
she had returned in her full glory."

Linda was back.
It starts with an L
L stands for love.

Maybe It's not a dream.

'Fairy tales can come true -
It can happen to you...
life gets more exciting with each
passing day...!'

I believe dreams are
just a window to reality.

I believe in Fairies.
 I believe in Unicorns.
And I believe in Linda!

God Stands

God Stands

When dust and time blot out my name;
And I rise to unknown strands,
And the whole world melts with fervent heat.
God Stands!

When the planets cease their movement;
Round the bright and shining sun,
And the elements blend together,
God has just begun.

When we lift our song together;
With flaming Angel bands,
On the tenth day of forever;
God Stands!

When kings and priests and armies;
Are crumbled in the dust.
When tanks and planes and rockets.
Have been consumed by rust;

When all our great intentions;
And all we think we know;
And all our brave ambitions,
Melt like winter snow.

God stands upon the silken rims;
Of time and infinity.
The stars are His pillows;
And endless space his sea.

When all we know and love are gone,
Our earth and sea and land,
When the elements melt with fervent heat.
God Stands!

she stands beside the sea
a tear escapes, runs down her face
melancholy comes to embrace
the past won’t set her free
lost love decays without a trace

Premium Member M ---- Stands For Me

Well....since you asked...
I'll tell you now, no run around,
my letter is found
right in the middle,
in fact it starts
the "middle" word,
so it's no riddle...
if you can spell!

It has two humps,
and they are round
They form a well...
It comes just past
the "H", the "I", the "J", and "L" ...

"M" stands for ME!

"M" is the one that fits me best
It makes me munch on little things...
I'm known for liking M' and M's!
And mistletoe, and midnight strolls
And M's are known for loving food (mmmm!)
I'm also known to multi-task!
And bask in all my memories!

I'm Mrs. Mom, and love the madness...
(the mobs who make this place a mess! )
I'm a mental case...just ask my man!
Not meddlesome, and rarely mute
When I get mushy, he thinks it's cute!
I'm moody too...and sometimes mad!
But mostly mellow is my mantra !
Morning is my time of day...
But moonlight, too, can make me swoon
I'm filled with mirth, and mischief too
I've meandered with misfortune's moods
But I'm mindful of the miracles

I love good movies, and music too!!
Will marvel at a magic view
I can mend a fence, and mentor you
And hope to keep my muse in tune

I'll share my M' and M's with you
So,... won't you share your Q's ?!!!

The Faded Garden Swing

If the flaked paint on the old swing
could speak, it would tell stories of
days long ago,
Of children's laughter and their bare,
muddy feet,
Of fireflies caught and imprisoned in
empty jam jars,
Like the fireflies, my memory flickers,
trying to recall who lived across the
street.

The faded swing’s rusty chains creaked
loudly under my weight, an old familiar
song,
And the scent in the air from the aged
honeysuckle, still going strong,
An old familiar perfume of yesteryear,
At this moment, suspended between
the then and now, time stands still.

Once the echoes of children’s giggles,
now a silent yard,
Images of scraped knees, loud cries
and a lemonade stall,
In the distance, the sound of an old
church bell rings,
Here, on this faded garden swing,
I sit in the past with the weight of
what was and of what can never be
again.

Now, shadows linger in silence,
Where children once soared with
dreams,
Oh, faded swing, a keeper of stories
of joy and pain,
You hold the essence where memories
 remain,
At last, I am home, in the place where
time stands still.

Premium Member Oklahoma Stands For Women's Rights

Oklahoma just passed an executive order
About the obvious disorder
Of letting men break through the border
Called a women’s bathroom door
Which has always been there for
Keeping out men and furthermore
Those who are men no more

Oh, some may scream, ‘where are their rights?
They’re out there fighting the fights,
To pee with one’s wearing tights.’
Yes, but would you let your daughter
Much too young, with hardly a care
Into those bathrooms alone
With a ‘whatever’ that shaves its chest hair?
And whatever else the ‘whatever’ may share
Is that what you would condone?

OK, may say no to athletes competing
Even if their male body parts were deleted
With women on equal ground
The women don’t need that type around
To race against for athletic glories
Like AI competing with us for poetry stories

But still why does a government
Need an executive order to present
The obvious difference between gals and guys
Even when one or more’s in disguise?
Well, it’s the same old trick with a new bent
Pushed by the bought and paid fed government

They cloud what it means about gender
And try to stuff family morals in a blender
So that when they offer their crisis solution
We’ll bow down to their wicked resolution
Of their digital money and total control
Over all our bodies, minds, and souls
Partially paved by those with a men’s skull
Who can no longer use a urinal

Premium Member When Time Stands Still

Leaping in barefoot abandon
Soaring every which way from Sunday
Laughter effortlessly exhaling cool breezes.

Lounging on nature’s lush carpet
Silhouette illumined by carefree serenity
Lapping up rays and shining them back

Licorice sticks and crackers and brie
Sweet plumpness of kiwi and mango and peach
Licking ripe juices off contented grin

Long luscious showers in waterfall glory
Swirling delightfully playfully pure
Lingering loving caresses of freshness

Last blush of daylight’s electrical charge
Sunset yields gracefully generously kind
Lights flicker syntax where space enfolds meaning

Lay here beside me
Savor my dream
Let my enchantment touch yours

Premium Member He Stands Alone

He's a soldier
So brave and strong
Mission after mission
Never gone too long
A gun, a knife, a tank
A weapon not his choice
A war started long ago
His goal to raise his voice
The enemy is armed
In unforgiving ways
Children, women, bodies
Scrupulous displays
Head games, body aches
Home so far from here
Reality is insanity
No time to fear
Nightmares are visions
And soon they will be gone
War will be over
Clouds convert to sun
Stand tall don't break
Fight until the last
Souls like iron
Faces hidden in masks
Voiceless corpses heaved
Buried and burned
Soldier keeps walking
Eyes absorb but his back is turned
Kill or be killed
Wars awful plan
No tears to shed
From this young man

When Time Stands Still

There is a time when everything stands still,
When life's biggest moments
Are up close and ever so real
You take my breath away with all your sex appeal
When your eyes meet mine its a really big deal
You really know how to make this man squeal
I was hoping that you would be interested
In just how I feel

Oh baby if you really knew
How much of a thrill you would fulfill
Life with you makes my heart feel so true
It's not possible for me to sing the blues
Not when my eyes are full of all of you

All of this because I'm so in love with you,
As your love surrounds all parts of me
I can foresee total reality
That sets our hearts free
To be on an amazing love journey
How all of this makes us feel
when time stands still
And everything is so real

This much we can agree
Together we are so happy to be
Living life's opportunities
It's crazy unreal how you make all of this feel
Life is one big chance that leads us
To that special romance
When our hearts begin to dance,
And time stands still
As we realize our life together is forever
And so very real

Where She Stands

A wildflower stands erect
Soaking in rays of radiance
As the bees and townsfolk buzz
And the wind sways in a slow dance

Contentment is where she stands
Until she spots something missing
Among all the townsfolk talk
She was bound to start listening

Was in the clouds but now on land
Leans in to get a better view
A life involved with others
But she doesn't know what to do

Clueless but curious
Tries to start a conversation
In search of a smile
Doesn't find it in rejection

Caring but cautious
Hoping to look approachable
In search of a word
Doesn't happen when you're invisible

Confused and crushed
World doesn't make much sense
In search of a friend
Everything is better in ignorance

Laughter among all but her
She hides her eyes in sorrow
A life void of others
No hope for tomorrow

Disappointment is where she stands
Teased by something she can't have
Alone among a crowded crowd
Her heart wounded by lonesome's stab

A wildflower builds a wall
Unsure if she can be saved
Brick by brick is stacked
Her own prison's being paved

A Child Stands

The Tears of Gaia

Wash down over a silent place,
Washing clean our plastic,
Our Empty cans, our debris,
Tears flowing gently over,
Humanity’s darkest fruits,

A child stands with her arms outstretched,
Waiting for the winds to change,
Waiting for sun light to break through clouds,
For daylight to kiss tired sleeping skins,
For Lost Poets, artists, visionaries, story tellers,
Myth makers, alchemists to awaken from their sleep;

She waits;

She waits for Healers to arise from their shallow graves,
For dreamers to dream us a new place,
For lovers to show us how to kiss again,

For the healed,

To allow the Tears of Gaia
to flow
Freely once again.

John Roberts

Time Stands Still

My intent is clear...is yours...
Your eyes are as crystal...peering deep into the soul...
Your lips are like sweet honey on my mouth...
I savor every last morsel... until it is gone...

Whispers of love dance in my mind...
Gentle kisses cover my body...slowly but gingerly with great care...consumed by your touch...I am immobile...

My breath catches...ever so slightly...
Igniting a spark to my skin... I am on fire...for you...
Awareness flows in a wave of pleasure... As I feel every tingle your touch creates...

Time stands still... It is only you and I....
Lost in your wonder... never stopping...never going back...

Premium Member Alone He Stands Behind the Plow

alone he stands behind the plow
in footrace with the lengthened dawn
a shadow figure in the now

pursues the where and when and how
of unseen reins so slowly drawn
alone he stands behind the plow

each furrow’s end a prayerful bow
an homage paid – dark soil turned fawn
a shadow figure in the now

a twisted plowmans daily prowl
his dream - horizon’s distant pawn
alone he stands behind the plow

as rutted field and furrowed brow
leave in the mist the endless song
a shadow figure in the now

in answer to where, when, and how
sweet memories dark furrows spawn
alone he stands behind the plow
a shadow figure in the now

Premium Member The stands of maize

Stepping into one hundred degrees of morning haze
Wanting the sun to burn it all down in a fiery raze
'Til all the corn stalks are set to a glowing blaze
Then, rains can come across the plains; turning it to a syrupy glaze
Oh, how I loved these humidity infused summer days
They take me back to youth waking early; to enjoy my plays
I missed the first half of my life; when time seemed to have these endless ways
For adulting means its time to teach my littles how to navigate the craze
Also, to savor the moments 'til their fate reaches this phase
Who knew parenting was just guiding mice through the stands of maize?

For the One Who Stands

Life fading before your very eyes
So many false promises and far too many lies
Laying beside He who stands
Questioning answers and making demands.

Your meandering soul so very dark
The light slightly seen by that single spark
Crouched below the turbulent tide
With He who stands by your side.

Moonbeams and those blessed dreams
And the places only you have seen
Crawling at the feet of He who stands
Roses, their thorns and blood on your hands.

The majestic meaning of your thoughts
Your demon challenged and iron wrought
Placed as if a speck of discarded sand
All of this for the one who stands.
