How often do you think about the time?
For me, it's never very far from mind
Each hour I am reminded by a chime
And when I look, it's left me far behind

Now some will say that you should be resigned
To live each day as if it were your last
If looking up the road, you will be blind
You're wasting time when looking in the past

But time is change and things are changing fast
If you don't look ahead you'll have no plan
You must explore the time already passed
To not repeat mistakes within that span

In life there simply are no guarantees
So I suggest each spend it as they please

Spending the Night In a Temple

Spending the Night in a Temple

The ice rains hard upon the temple walls
As the fires within keep the visitors warm
The 2 brothers deep in a fever lie head to head
And hold hands
A girl raised above them on a cot reads sacred scriptures
Only she can understand
And the ancient grandmother and grandfather hold vigil
Over the shivering boys
The temple keepers bring bowls of food to the weary
As apparitions appear and disappear
In front of the dragon shrine
Another tired band of travelers wander in
Bringing with them a gust of frigid air
And take refuge on mattresses lined against the wall
Everyone gathers closer for warmth
Even the mouse cat braves the human presences
The boys’ fevers rise higher and higher
Hands are held more tightly
The ice falls harder echoing throughout the mountain night
And the entire temple slowly drifts into 1000 years of sleep

I Love Thee My Lord

Lord, I want to meet Thee again.
I want to be with Thee, like then.
Please come as I worship Thee,
One on One as brother to the Son.

Thou dost talk with me a while,
Turning my turmoil into a smile.
Renewed, I kneel and worship Thee,
As Thou dost love me tenderly.

I cherish my time with Thee.
In awe I gladly receive,
Turning over my offering,
Of strain and suffering.

Thou art here to comfort and heal,
With hands upon my head so still.
Thy words are said, I see the stars,
And all Thy creations at large.

Everything comes into view.
Most of all, I see Thee true,
Dying for me, the least of these,
Giving Thy sacred life for peace.

I am sure of Thy love for all.
In Thy hands I stand up tall.
When I need Thee, I can see Thee,
Always comforting and redeeming.

Just before our time is through,
I sit in Thy lap, give Thee a kiss,
And take a nap, as Thou dost tell me,
Beautiful stories from Thy life.

How I am in Thy dreams divine.
Then with love, Thou art in mine.
Before Thou dost depart,
Thou dost kiss me, close to heart.

Thy host watching, singing along,
Giving hope to stay strong.
Thou art mine and I am Thine.
I love Thee my Lord.

"When it comes to money, you can't win. If you focus on making it, you're materialistic. If you try to but don't make any, you're a loser. If you make a lot and keep it, you're a miser. If you make it and spend it, you're a spendthrift. If you don't care about making it, you're unambitious. If you make a lot and still have it when you die, you're a fool-for trying to take it with you. The only way to really win with money is to hold it loosely-and be generous with it to accomplish things of value." - John C. Maxwell

Listen to the lessons
Who remind me that I spend,
More than I can earn,
More than I can learn…
Is too much, too much, too much.

Listen to my conscious,
When I reach for the cart,
Shopping – my obsession,
When will it finally stop?
When will I park that cart?

Listen to the lessons
Who remind me that I’m broke,
Spent more than I am making,
Spent more than I can earn,
Spent more – don’t have money to burn!

Listen to my conscious,
When the cash is burning holes…
Deep inside my pocket,
Where they yearn to finally know
How it feels to go into a jar,
Saved from the shopping sprees!
Saved from their enemy, ME!

Listen to those bills, tempting me…
To pay with cash, pay with my debit,
Pay with credit – pay with anything…
That allows me to spend, spend, spend,
Spendthrift I am – spendthrift is who I hope…
To quit being, throughout the coming year!

My new year’s resolution, then…
Is to write X spendthrift,
When I take up my pen, to sign by the x,
Where I’m signing my earnings away,
For the next purchase that I’ve made –

As a NEW X-spendthrift, I hope that I can say…
Together with my money, I will finally stay,
Able to look at the future with savings that I pray…
Will keep me from poverty as I go on my way,
Keep me from the spending that took me astray!

Spending Time

Spending time with a

friend is something we all should do

more of.

So on this radiant

afternoon I'm spending

time with a friend.

As I enjoy these breezes

blowing my way, sitting

on the patio with my

best friend and companion

looking down at her

sitting as close as one

could get to me,

just now she looked

up at me, with those

beautiful brown eyes of hers,

knowing some day

won't have this time

to spend with my dear friend,

or to get her wet kisses

or that wagging tail,

from my dog Brandy,

so will enjoy this

magic moment, store it in

my memory and loving each

moment.

Spending Time

Spend time with those that you are close to before their gone
Were not promised to be on this earth for very much long
Love and cherish the ones God has given to you
And always be there for them no matter what you do

As time goes on we get so busy with our daily life
We seem to forget about our family, friends, husband and wife
We must always let them know what they mean to us
Let them know were their for them and on that they can trust

A phone call to your family or friends can bring joy to their heart
Because it shows them that you love them and never want to depart
A simple hello can mean more than you will ever know
And put a Smile on their face that will cause such aglow

Don't miss out on spending time with someone you love
Because God never turned his back on us from above
So push everything aside and give that special one a call or visit today
Before you wake up one morning and they have gone away

Spending My Income Tax Refund

Spending My Income Tax Refund

By Elton Camp

For one like me, who to save lacks the thrift,
An annual income tax refund seems like a gift
In other years, there’s been no reason why
That something a bit special I couldn’t buy

An otherwise unaffordable gift for my wife
Or a vacation to relieve the monotony of life
This time the decision has been made for me
For it will go right into the gas pump, you see

White Elephants

I’m sure ratepayers everywhere
Are aware of the many dangers
Of the cronyism to be found
At their local Council chambers

They build useless monuments
That will never make a buck
For vanity projects of all kinds
To feed egos run amok

All paid for by the taxpayer
Whilst roads and water are forgot
Common sense does not apply
To spend the rates financial pot

Management consultants say
‘Busloads of tourists will come to see’
But they’ve just made the numbers up
And charged outrageous fees

Ratepayers object but are ignored
We are unsophisticated swine
The council knows much better
How to spend your rates and mine

Behind the scenes you can be sure
Handshake deals are being made
Strings are being pulled
And backhanders being paid

Touted as the next big thing
But a hopeless waste of dough
When it fails the ratepayers cry
…………… ‘I bloody told you so!’

Spending Time With Jesus

Spending Time With Jesus...

Spending time with Jesus is time well spent.
It’s a time when I can humbly repent.

Spending time with Jesus, I will confess.
Helps me to deal with the daily stress!

Spending time with Jesus is what’s needed!
It’s only in him, that my life is completed!

Spending time with Jesus… I need to do it!
I tried many times. But I “blew it!”

I’m starting today! It’s important to do!
I’m starting the day off, like it’s “brand new!”

Spending time with him, will help me to trust him!
I’m going to tell him how much I love him!

Time with my Lord… I’m determined to spend!
He is my savior! And very best friend!

Won’t you join me in this endeavor?
His peace and joy can bless you forever!

Time with God is worth more than silver or gold!
He’s an awesome God and worthy to behold!

He can do more for you in just a moment of time!
He’s so patient, merciful and kind!

Spending time with Jesus... You’ll be glad you did!
An everlasting joy and love is what he’ll give!

Premium Member Precious Life Worth Spending

Ransomed from sin’s debt, I’m freed
Paid by Saviour’s blood indeed
Willing to be spent with grace
My precious life gives Him praise.

Striving to live through faith’s creed
Propelled by God’s mighty deed
I abound* in good works’ ways
Optimizing wondrous days.

*1Corinthians 15:58 …Be ye…, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

Spending Spree

I had it made until my stupid wife ruined me.
I was rich until she went on a spending spree.
She spent it all before I even had the chance to stop her.
I had ten million bucks but because of her, I'm a pauper.
I was the richest man in my town but now I'm the most poor.
People are giving me funny looks because I'm buying clothes in a second hand store.
She forgot to insure the cars that she bought, even the Ferrari.
I only have ten dollars left and that jezebel isn't one bit sorry.
A tornado came last week and destroyed every vehicle that she bought.
If you're wondering if I think about strangling her, I think about it a lot.
She also spent a lot of my money on male strippers, booze and grass.
Now she's going to need a proctologist to remove my foot from her ass.

Spending Time

I’m sitting in a comfy chair with pen poised in my hand
to write a piece of poetry that some may understand.
It doesn’t matter what it is or how I choose to rhyme
the purpose of my writing it is just to pass the time.

For this is how I meditate and how I free my mind,
I’ve tried a dozen different ways but this works well I find.
When words come flowing from my pen without a second thought
I find myself in harmony with all I ever sought.

For many years I’ve juggled with a full and hectic mind
and never found the time to do the things my spirit pined,
as poetry is one of them I don’t care what I say
for writing gives me peace of mind and helps to soothe the day.

If you don’t really understand the ramblings that I write
don’t scream and shout about my verse and say that it is trite,
for this time I don’t give a damn if you like this or not,
this one’s for me, to spend some time, for I’ve not got a lot!

True Value

You'll always want
What you don't got
Most the things you get
Aint as important
As you thought
Once you get them
Is when they start
Losing value
Got you on the hunt
For something brand new
& it doesnt stop
You could have a fortune
And still be miserable
It's impossible to fill a hole
From outside sources
There's certain things
That are only gained internally
All that Purchasing & searching be
A waste of time
Up Until you learn to be
Content and find your happyness
From you and you alone
The results
Will always be discouraging
& I aint speaking from experience
Personally that sounds like
Allota work to me
I'd propabably need a therapist
When your moneys funny
It's far from being halarious
But there are people out there
That just wouldnt care & s***
They'd be happy
Just sitting there with nothing
Dang I wish I was that well adjusted
You leave me sittin around
With nobody  and nothing
For too long,
I'm gonna be putting on
A large production
Going on & on & on waiting  for someone
Or something to To interrupt it
