Premium Member A Significant Empty -Ct

Change aint easy,
lover and a hater times two.
The quiet one, looking for psychedelic sound.
Who am I? The Borrower, weeping unanswered questions.
When you can’t get high enough, call the listener.
Do you hear what I hear?

Beyond your abyss, a billion coloured raindrops.
Hands of light, pushing beyond your borders.
Measure for measure what a fool am I.
I reach towards her hand, consumed with each touch.

She passes me a rose, red is the colour of passion.
Sleeping beauty, dreaming with eyes open.
Blessed hypnotist, tentative dancer, dark lover,
tell me a sweet lie, beyond the walls of innocence.
Water spirit, float into love’s arms.

A sense of emptiness, I whispered your name.
Blessed red door, lust, shame.
Middle age white guy capturing freedom.
Pain felt soul tears, the editing of me.
Sweet scoundrel lies, rainbow coloured camouflage.
Beyond the open door, the world unknown to me.
Tell me what you don’t see.
Getting what I really wanted,
escaping gravity, filling up on empty.

Premium Member My Significant Other

With wonderment and glory inside
I am a follower of the spirit divine
The words don’t come out to divide

I have a significant other to align
My days have painful moments within
But, I am a follower of the spirit divine

With joy, she sets me on the path of soft skin
Heartfelt pleasure tumbles with her touch
And still, my days have painful moments within

I don’t get enough of her, as I really much
Would gather her tenderness in my heart
And, heartfelt pleasure tumbles with her touch

I keep every memory, the painful and the great start
Of my life within her grand spectrum of grace
And this, would gather her tenderness in my heart

Love, with every piece and being in life I face
And totally, with wonderment and glory inside
Of my life within her grand spectrum of grace
And always, the words don’t come out to divide

I marvel at her elegance
elegance born of an understanding
an esthetic awareness, the knowing of who she is
She embraces both the beauty and limitations of her form
Wearing what pleases her
no longer putting pretty things away for some future occasion

Her clothing creates movement
for she does not wish to stay still
I see her eyes sparkle with the eagerness of yesterday's child
the exuberance of her endless possibilities
Still a subtle sadness resides
a warning of sorts
an "approach with caution"
"come to me, but keep your distance"
perhaps she feels safer that way

Maybe this is part of her aesthetic
for music cannot exist without tension
notes are born of apposing forces
So I will ask my questions
attempt to understand
I will hear what she wishes to tell
and I will try to comprehend
Most importantly I will appreciate her elegance
the freedom she finds within her laughter
Her inquisitiveness as she peers over her glasses
for she is both a teacher and a student
life for her remains and adventure
and she chooses to live it
one note at a time
until she has written her symphony
until she has painted all of her colors
until she realizes that pain serves a purpose
Without it we never truly become
we never truly know
who we really are

More Than a Significant Other - Iambic Meter

MORE THAN A SIGNIFICANT OTHER - IAMBIC METER!

“Come live / with me / and be / my love.”

I ask of you this because you are my ultimate desire.
I refuse to hide it when you see it in my eyes.
My mind is in a dreamlike state blowing kisses at you all of the time.
You never see this because I am shy.
I write you this poem now.

Before I knew you, you knew me.
You would see me standing outside by the fig tree.
You would come to class by yourself.
How do I know this?
Well, your best friend is my best friend as well.
He told me that you had asked who I am.

You are such a wild orchid never going wild - a beautiful flower all the time.
I love to get to know you and fulfill my ultimate desires.
You and I together laid back chilling and comfortable in life, mutually agreeable to the definition of our beings, and most important, knowing our destiny vivaciously.

“Come live / with me / and be / my love.”

Premium Member Significant Insignificance - Reversible Poem

There you are, my Earth!
I see you here next to our Moon
In this wondrous book- zoomed-in,
You shine above the rest
With cars and people everywhere-
Bridges, trains, skyscrapers, jets
Blue oceans with majestic ships-
Those wonders of our age,
Right here upon your sphere exist,
You great, important, busy, busy world.
There you are, my Earth-
           and yet-
Where are you, Earth?
Amid this endless cloud of dust
I can barely see you- just a tiny dot
In this wondrous book, zoomed out,
I find you on this page with straining eye
So lost inside our giant Milky Way
A drifting grain of sand in time
A microscopic, whirling speck,
One of the millions, billions, trillions
Caught in cosmic winds with all the rest-
Where are you, Earth?

Premium Member Significant Divine Interventions In My Life

Bestowed by God with faith according to Scriptures
I do strive to seek Him, begging for His guidance
Believing His wisdom, always perfect and right…
Divine intervention --- such I desire so well.

1985…
Toward college degree, yet away from my home
Scholarship gained along academic freedom
Yet Bible studies’ truth brought me to the Saviour…
Divine intervention --- my soul redemption set.

1991…
Alighting from the bus; then sprawling on the street
My body rested there… along that busy road
No vehicles passed by as I managed to stand…
Divine intervention --- the Lord guarded me well.

1996…
Teaching career flourished in great institution
Voluntary service versus secular job???
My choice must be resolved for full-time reaching-out…
Divine intervention --- The Master granted peace.

2003…
Ministry adjustments for orphanage venture
Government compliance and license to cope with
Another course-challenge; my heart yielded fully…
Divine intervention --- The Almighty gave joy.

2018…
Desirous for global poetry publication
My persistence fainted; but was soon ignited
Since providentially, I came across PS*…
Divine intervention --- Sovereign endowment.

2019…
My Daddy wished to leave the hospital alive
Doctor handed waiver as prayer was fervent
No to euthanasia; yes, I loved Dad so much…
Divine intervention --- Creator took him home**.

2021…
Our special child’s milestones definitely highlight
Miracles so wondrous despite pandemic blow
Diagnosed to progress toward retrogression***…
Divine intervention --- reflects God’s grace at work.

I thank the Lord indeed; His eyes**** watch over me
His hand remains outstretched to secure my footsteps
Blessing my trust in Him, blocking me from wrong moves…
Divine intervention --- His love’s affirmation.

Significant Another

My eyes touch your lips and whisper
look - you hear and sit satiated,
flicking through some undeveloped
polaroids you shake frantically.

A silent forest fire blazes
dangerously as you sit coy,
crossing your legs, but I can hear
a clock thud tick tock in the room.

A sudden burst of rain hits the
window panes lustily tonight;
lightening tickles you to the core.
The storm roars a deep, heavy cry.

Now you and I meet eye to eye;
we come together in our frame.
Those photographs don't lie my love,
let's hide our dark, dirty secret.

Significant

If I told you not to come back,
would you listen--
knowing that to ignore me
would be what I needed most.

To not listen to me when
I say that I want to be free and
not listen
when I say that I need
time and space and flight--
don't hear me when I say that it doesn't matter

if you pay me no mind--

hear me when I say that it doesn't matter
right now
at this moment--
paying me no mind

is the most significant thing you could ever do.

That Significant Day

With this April’s warm sun,
Underneath the fair sky,
To this humble shade if now you come!
For, I have all set the sacred settings:
Free pastures, seclusion, old trees, and composure;
The wild crows cawing,
The buzzing bees, flying fluttering between the trees—Long-white-tailed black sparrows, and breeze;
Calves grazing, and bleating sheep.
Apart from clamor, dust, lust, and smoke,
To the lush meads by the country.
And; recall in merriness, peace, pride and grief,
That significant day! We e’er met and secretly began to love!

My Significant Other

My significant other,
to our family
you are a magnificent mother.
You are closer to me
than my sister and my brother.
You're my ray of light
You're my friend and my lover.

And as I lay beside you
in my oh so wakeful state,
I don't want to fall asleep
Because my dreams are not this great.
I pray we'll spend
the rest of our days together
and In my heart my thoughts of you
are green for ever and ever.

Premium Member You Are Significant!

We've all been crushed at being chosen last for a childhood game,
Feeling that our awkwardness and ineptitude were to blame.
We've all struggled to be loved and accepted by our peers.
At times feeling we don't matter is one of our greatest fears!

From the moment you "entered stage right" on this troubled earth,
The Creator considered you so significant and of priceless worth!
He delights in you, His exquisite and unique Masterpiece!
He is very fond of you - His love and care will never cease!

Etch upon your heart this phrase, "I'm accepted and significant!"
You are the apple of His eye - to Him no one is insignificant!
Even tho' He takes note of mere sparrows when they fall,
You are of much more value than a flock of sparrows, after all!

Tho' you may not be asked to dance and endure humiliation,
Perhaps 'twould be best to brook with grace your frustration.
Ever keep in mind when you feel left out and harassed,
That one day the last shall be first and the first shall be last!

When you feel meaningless and life doesn't always treat you fair,
Reach deep within your soul, call on Him and never despair.
Tho' some may try to kill the spirit, they cannot kill the soul!
Fear not, for He is ever nigh to encourage and console!

Significant

Me and poetry are happily married
The bond we carried
Took time, nothing was hurried
Critics we slowly buried
First I made a simple draft
And started perfecting my craft
To build this castle
I needed more than muscle
It takes a psychological mindset
And the determination to hustle
Now me and success often tussle

Significant, Important Player

Significant, Important Player

What in my life could be so more possibly
Designed for mine to live most comfortably
Perfect place where I completely fit in
Not worry about what I said or did again.

There are those exceptional and extraordinary
Compared to others who may be only ordinary
Especially last night under sun as it did set
When Bruce and Ally together again had met.

Love being with both such a perfect pair
In their world live without a worry or care
Rather relaxed, settled, always comforting
Like thought blowing in the wind you sing.

Was with them there both beyond compare
In my life, a significant, important player
Producing pleasure and an enjoyable scene
When I met them, reminded me of Gene.
