Best Shoot Poems
( … if you catch me doing one of these.)
Naming any baby Finton,
voting for Hillary Clinton,
complimenting Nascar,
moving to Nebraska,
using "literally" to mean "very",
calling Derry Londonderry,
uttering the word "redact",
claiming Johnny Depp can act,
saying society's to blame,
mentioning fifteen minutes of fame,
feeling sorry for Amanda Knox,
watching anything on Fox,
or even one second of Jerry Springer,
making speech marks with my fingers,
drinking alcohol alone,
admiring Sharon Stone,
labelling anyone a pagan,
sighing "bring back Ronald Reagan",
playing Rod Stewart's "We Are Sailing",
paying money to see Van Halen ...
(and if ever, instead of clever,
I say smart,
I promise to wear -
right there -
a target across my heart.)

Alas! So Shoot Me, I Grieve What Was Lost
Alas! So shoot me, I grieve what was lost
Not just youth, but those things Time took away
Within aching heart comes an icy frost
Covering epic pains of such decay!
One may ask, how dare I so complain?
Does Nature cry about hard falling rain?
Yet does not this world its ills promote well?
Oft with sorrows borne from depths of Hell?
Dare I choose to such dark verses to write?
Have I not truly joined in the fight?
Alas! So shoot me, I grieve what was lost
Not just youth, but those things Time took away
Within aching heart comes an icy frost
Covering epic pains of such decay!

Those Lush And Tender, Soft Welcoming Lips
Those flowing curls, glowing luscious mane
Sexy smile, flowering as desert rain
Bountiful beauty, sent to ease heart's pain
Lovely blessing sent for this soul to gain.
Ravishing essence with sweet touch to match
My hesitation, thinking what is the catch
That such a beauty would now my way pass
A goddess, sweet speaking to this poor lass.
Those lush and tender, soft welcoming lips
With true beauty, grace, and curvaceous hips
Yes beauty, as could launch a thousand ships
And greatest king's treasure surely eclipse.
Those tender kisses that were sent both ways.
May we forever - remember that day!

Does Basking Moon Ask Strolling Stars For More
Of beauty, earth, wind and soft glowing sky
Dares this artist to weep tears asking why
Heart and soul must pay such a heavy price
And shed blood for it to ever suffice?
Does basking moon ask strolling stars for more
Space and time to heavenly night explore
And cast upon earth a much deeper hue
To inspire such in poets such as you?
Does dawn its resplendent new rays withhold
That gift, that gleaming beauty to be sold
Or Mother Nature fail to gift new birth
Or poets fail to cast beauty's true worth?
Do such quizzing queries set well in verse
Or fail as being dated and quite terse?

Sonnet,

Lyrics poem
Story first I set this to music on a site, typed lyrics in picked style , drums violin sax and other settings. This amazing female voice sung it blew my mind. I love saxophone and a bit was it solo. It 2am I pressed something and lost it. I could cried. It shot of around cyber space ha ha. Will do it all again. This is my lyrics.
Come fly with me above the stars
Soar on eagles wings by far
Ride a galaxy or two
Shooting stars will follow you
Higher ~ swifter up we go
Feel the fancy of the flight
Clouds are fluffy like cotton wool
Smooth and comfy of we go
Zooming round and round
Expressive joy, happiness abounds
Shoot the moon, my turtle dove
Just continue, feel the love
We never want the ride to stop
On the unicorns back we hop
Jump the rainbows all around
It comes back to me in solemnity,
and I wistfully wish it wouldn't.
A willful case of killing it was—
a hunter doing what he shouldn't.
Father had taken me deer hunting,
thinking to make a man of a boy.
I prayed we wouldn't see a deer.
and we didn't—not one—such joy!
Daylight was dimming to dusk
when he said our hunt had ended.
We started down a rocky trail,
and at a turn—we froze, suspended.
A hunter was positioned to shoot,
crouched, rifle cradled with skill.
Target? A shiny-eyed rabbit
happily nibbling a leafy meal.
"Oh, don't," I felt to cry out,
but then a c-r-a-c-k cricked the air.
The place where the rabbit had been
was as if nothing were ever there.
"He missed," my glad heart sang;
"the rabbit's alive and is all right."
But the hunter's face was fulsome
with a beastly, loathsome blight.
As we came by the spot, I retched,
the brush was garnished with gore.
Father's silence tracked the truth;
we wouldn't go hunting any more.
How to conceive of such blood thirst—
wanton killing as an act of gladness.
I trust, however, for those so cursed
civility will supercede such madness.
Mother said: “always smile”
I smiled
I am still smiling among others of my kind
In clusters of wrinkled cheeks and memory-laden souls
Beating too too many taut drums in a row.
“When I’m that way” my father used to say,
“shoot me. Doesn’t matter who has to clean up.”
My way is a nap turning into eternal rest.

we didn’t shoot my father.
Let me tell you, what we're hoping for? ?
Man's new tomorrow.
And let me tell you, what we're shooting toward?
We're shooting toward, our final frontier.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward eternity.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward a new tomorrow.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward eternity.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward a new tomorrow..
Let me tell you, what we're heading for? ?
A universal galaxy.
And let me tell you, why we're heading there?
Man's final frontier.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward eternity.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward a new tomorrow.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward eternity.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward a new tomorrow.
Let me tell you, why we're going there?
To find a new place to live.
And let me tell you, what we want it for?
Man's new tomorrow.
And let me tell you, what we're shooting toward?
We're shooting toward, our final frontier.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward eternity.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward a new tomorrow.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward eternity.
Shoot toward the stars.
Shoot toward a new tomorrow..

Shoot your shot
Bridge: you only got one shot
shoot it , you only got one shot hoop it
you only got one shot
Verse 1: Hey how you doing?
What's your name?
you caught my eye, let me explain
I'm very interested
In getting to know you
got a couple things
that I want to show you
show you around the world
take you places you never been
I want to be your friend
start hanging out
see how it ends
I was afraid, scared of what you might say
wonder if I was quiet , would you even come my way
you are so cool , boy I almost forgot
I only got one chance to shoot my shot
(Chorus)
Shoot your shot
you only got one chance
Shoot your shot
shoot it as best as you can
shoot your shot that's the truth
I'm trying to shoot my shot with you
(Rap)
I'm shooting my shot
I think you should too
I really like really dig you
I'm making sure that I aim
a smile on your face is what I want you to gain
taking you out
giving you flowers
making impressions for hours
conversation not sour
it's amazing
we actually listen to what each other is saying
it's cool never felt this way
you got me open
like a Marta token
hold on hold on ( you're already spoken for)
the things you do I adore
you really make me want so much more
I shot my shot the perfect score
Chorus)
Shoot your shot
you only got one chance
Shoot your shot
shoot it as best as you can
shoot your shot that's the truth
I'm trying to shoot my shot with you
Hook
The perfect score
The perfect match
I really like the sound of that
The perfect score
The perfect match
I really like the sound of that
Chorus)
Shoot your shot
you only got one chance
Shoot your shot
shoot it as best as you can
shoot your shot that's the truth
I'm trying to shoot my shot with you

(Apologies to any cowboys in Derbyshire)
The telegraph came through, but just in time
before my coach had passed the county line
mah girl wuz all alone and in distress
only one guy could go save her- well, you guessed.
Ah told mah driver “stop! I gotta help her
drop me off- ahm headin' back to Belper!"
"Yo crazy boy! The old guy spluttered forth
there ain't nuthin' but trouble that far north”
His words had barely registered, I'd say
but I was in Duffield, post-haste, half way,
that one horse town of Derby far behind
but only winsome Janet on mah mind.
Time wuz almost out when I rode through
she'd almost given up on me, I knew
as when I burst in through that old front door
and spotted her, alone, on that shop floor
mah old lady there, terrified, no doubt
cryin' "Help me, Lord- mah credit card's maxed out!"
We all know a man does what he's gotta do,
I reached fast for mah wallet and broke through
passed her mah card, and though it be a sin
I'd told her long ago mah chip 'n pin.
She spun real tight and, takin' no more lip
swiped up the card, dang! Shootin' from the hip.
We road into the sunset, purchase done,
and before nightfall, hey- someone had some fun,
Woke up just before dawn, mah eyes still poppin',
so what- who said us guys just don't dig shoppin' ?

Hot lead is cool no matter what gun fires the load
Sig sauer makes an accurate twenty two pistol
If you have had a jam problem keep them in mind
The light polimer frame in hot pink or purple etc.
Makes the gun a blast of excitement on the range
All the guys were drooling and smiling like a champ
Hitting the bulls eye is the target of the sport....
Super handling....super accurate!!
They call it the mosquito!
reads like an add don't it?! lol
OH SHOOT!!! .A DOGGONE COOKIE
He wanted from her some sweet nookie.
Instead all he got was a cookie.
He suffered his fate.
When he went to date.
Because the poor girl then played hookie!!!!

Fire
The rage that screams against the sky
A battle ground of angry hate
Death's anger looms; threat reaches high
The rage that screams against the sky
A voice it struggles to deny
The venom 'fore it spews too late
The rage that screams against the sky
A battle ground of angry hate.
What made bit** think she could deceive
A fam'ly grown so sick of hurt
I'm one she thought that would believe
What made bit** think she could deceive?
Fed up with lies, we're so naive
Her many victims her desserts
What made bit** think she could deceive
A fam'ly grown so sick of hurt.
I want to choke her scrawny neck
And make cruel vengeance mine to give
To make her bleed, knife's wounds inflict
I want to choke her scrawny neck
And twist until I'm held in check
But not 'fore I know she'll ne'er live
I want to choke her scrawny neck
And make cruel vengeance mine to give.
I lay my head on Satan's bed
The price was worth my deadly fate
She's cold and lives with devil's dead
I lay my head on Satan's bed
No tear I shed, no more to dread
It's over now, there's no more wait
I lay my head on Satan's bed
The price was worth my deadly fate.

The Shoot Out At The KOA Corral
The continuing saga of Zack Waverly
The mare was to far gone
and I had to put her down
There was nothing I could do
To help her make her back to town
When things have come to this
Life seems barely worth a trifle
As the only mercies' left
comes from what's inside a rifle
I saddled up and rode due west
Not to my destination
But, took a little detour
To make an allegation
On a hill top, I approached
As the Sun hung at mid-day
and I saw a man, with whip in hand
strike a Dapple Gray
My poor horse, was exhausted
But I guess he some how knew
He reared up on his two hind legs
Then down the hill flew
I've learn to hold on tight
When Ole Buck gets inspired
I swear, His eyes turn black as coal
While his nostrils fill with fire
He raced to make a beeline
To where the horse was being beat
Then stopped outside the wooden fence
In the mid-day summer heat
"Jonah, stop it now"
Is what I shouted from my horse
"Don't make me come and make you
'Cause you know I can of course"
Jonah wasn't tall but a strong and abled man
and so I pulled my Walker Colt
and watched the whip drop, from his hand
HeeeeYahaaa, Partners Keep your Posse out lookin' for page 3
Here sick in the thick of the actions of you
Contemplating a reaction- don't know what to do
All lost in the sauce trying to find our way
We'll get through this to God I pray
Michael Brown heaven has a space
Tell Travon I still see his face
Slaughter like, target practice and the hands of hate
I hope God comes down personally to orchestrate
Black president in the white house yet they're still trying to make us see
That racist is still alive and well in the hands of the enemy
Can you even see me pass the bullets you spray?
A little pass into the future of mine that you're taken away
As I lay on this ground struggling to breathe
I ask God why is it my turn to leave
Please Lord tell me now what did I do to deserve
to die by the one who is suppose to protect and serve
