Best Screaming Poems
Screaming at the Sky
Mothers screaming mournfully at a deaf sky
holding their heads helplessly as they cry
pitiful tears for innocent, defenseless children slaughtered
in fatal cross fires, deadly drug wars
drive-by shootings, and cases of mistaken identity
on blood-splattered streets, senseless endless violence; but
who really gives a damn, only grief-stricken
mothers screaming mournfully at a deaf sky.

Here in my room,
I lay in my bed,
With every thought of you,
Intruding my head,
Like snapshots in my brain,
Of the last thing you said,
My gut is violated,
And I twitch with rage,
I cannot free myself,
From this anxiety ridden cage,
And in this chapter of our life,
It seems I can't turn the page,
This torture is much worse,
Since you have been away,
I am so scared,
That away is where you'll stay,
And no matter how hard I try,
I will have to lay here in my room,
Alone one more day.
By Mac Holmes. Janettas grandson.
Written sitting in my room alone still waiting...
Prolonged sounds of shrieking sirens warn
Where death of normalcy people mourn
As he hugs wife and child close to his heart,
Ambivalent of woeful day’s agonizing start:
Unjust war burning down sanctity of life
Clasping distressed lives in atrocious strife.
Neither they have hope, nor relief in sight,
Where eerie silence frightens bleak night,
Misery crowds his way on hellish train ride,
As dread of the unspoken bawls teary eyed,
Spotting piles of rubble, bodies scattered,
Buildings, playgrounds torn and shattered.
Kissing goodbyes, he ventures to the field,
Despite enemy’s strength refusing to yield;
Determined to defend his nation’s pride
While rage of anguish he struggles to hide.
In a makeshift bed, as she trembles in fear,
Kissing her child-asleep, she sheds a tear,
Having heard of war-crimes, uttering a sigh,
Overcome by trepidation she tries to defy,
Shivering in consternation of silent screams,
Collapsing in agony of dismantled dreams;
When she was told her husband has died,
Agitating a turbulent storm howling inside
Where boiling anger, scorching grief collide.

OF SILENT SCREAMING PREGNANCIES…
Creative silence
Unlike the silence
Of death
Is life giving:-
In creative silence
The heart beats;
Blood flows;
Breathing abounds.
In the silence of mind
Sage words scream out
Divine wisdom and guidance
Quietly flowing
Form her hued womb
As birthing water breaks—
Breaking waters
Flowing poetic births
Whose screams
Are quietly heard
When penned and read—
Creative silence
Unlike the silence
Of death
Is life giving:-
As you quietly
Sit there,
May your pregnant
Poetic mind
Continue in silence
To birth
Screaming echoes
Of peace, love,
And awareness
In their allegorical
Messages
Of life—
Creative silence
Unlike the silence
Of death
Is life giving:-
While I sit here
Quietly dying
My pregnant mind
Silently screams—
Echoing clanging births:-
Creative silence
Unlike the silence
Of death
Is life giving:-
The voice
May be silenced
Through crucifixion,
Shootings and kneeing
Lynching;
Yet her inked
Clanging echoes
Will quietly
Ring out loud.
Creative silence
Unlike the silence
Of death
Is life giving:-
May the thighs
Of your
Soul and spirit
Forever
Quietly listen—
Opening wide
To silently flowing
Screaming
Impregnation:-
Creative silence
Unlike the silence
Of death
Is life giving:-
Leaving my car, I hasten my pace as
silent pain, screaming inside me
intensifies with the increasing movements made
by what I only can describe as an invisible snake
slithering beneath my flesh.
It’s felt by only me, and seen by no one -
the strange phenomenon
of a nervous system gone awry from side effects
of the “miracle” of modern medicine.
I know my conditions now by the title of Neuropathy,
but that definition does not come close to
describing what I experience unceasingly.
Mere “tingling or numbness”
would be preferable
to the feeling of a slithering serpent
squeezing or pressing down along my back.
Striding into the grocery store,
I find what I need as quickly as I can.
At any time, my metaphorical serpent
might decide to wildly strike,
perhaps while in the checkout line as I wait
with my silent screaming -
Please, line, move! Just let me finish here!
Afterward, with grocery bags in hand,
I scramble to my car.
Once inside, I press my back against my seat.
Ahhhh, relief!
The snake loses its momentum when I am reclined
or pressing myself against a surface,
and so I am not physically as active as I used to be.
People with chronic unseen disabilities
are not just a few.
When you chance to see someone fidgeting
in a line, looking as if
they’d like to “jump out of their skin,”
maybe you are seeing someone like me
with silent pain, screaming
from within.

The Screaming Demon
You are a demon of our own creation
Screaming and crying all day and night
You make demands that we have to serve
Unrelenting you ripped our minds apart
So innocent in your looks
Your hands reach for us speaking of your needs
Is it all a trick to make us fall for your trap?
Your bright blue eyes talk of love
Soothing what is left of our minds and making us smile
While your voice makes us cringe in an unknown fear
We pray for you to take a sleep that never comes
Where did you come from?
What can we do you break your curse?
Ancestors from ages back asked the same question
They suffered the same torture that you inflect upon us
Someday the time will come when you will change
A moment months after your original creation
You will have a demon of your own
Then we will sit back and laugh as you suffer
If Karma is truly a ***** as they say
Two screaming demons will arrive
With innocent looks and a talent for pain they will come
Stressing you far beyond the torture you have shown us
And we will laugh
How can I fetch what's inside me?
It's a mental scream I can see,
They had poured fear through my mind's crease,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
There has been a real stage play,
Rumbling in the chasm and airway,
This caused the effect of the cease,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
Screaming voices drove me insane,
Shooters, killers, and guns again,
Frail life blights me on endless lease,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
We yield what we hear, but we hear,
In our blood, others' scars are clear,
We wipe tears but also decrease,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
My wounds are still bright in my mind,
Anguish since the long-term rewind,
Out of sight, cracked into pieces,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
We're together despite the waves,
Thrilled as tides rush us to the caves,
Earth seems to cast us a release,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
We plant hope as a human seed,
Love grows in the other being's deed,
These keen emotions can't surcease,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
What if rain wipes tears of sadness?
We'll free ourselves from the brashness,
Teases to shed tears of caprice?
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
Whether you cry from pain or bliss,
It's not rain that makes that abyss,
Crying is nature, human peeps,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
My sorrow is couched in downpour,
Sobbing has not yet come down more,
I chafe drenched while I wait for cease,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.
Behind my face, that beams a smile,
Long, twisty, and pitch-black road style,
Secret cries have been rife with geese,
Tears swell deep ache, I grieve in peace.

I cried so hard I wanted to scream
Your memory still brings bleeding tears to my cheeks
The thoughts of you, me, and us are killing me
Why cant the pain inside just be a bad dream.
I want to wake up in your loving arms
But my eyes are closed by the tears of my heart.
Everything around me is crashing down
There’s nothing left for me to do but drown
I want to call your name with my last breath
But I’m screaming so loud that my breath is dead
I was screaming so loud that I wanted to cry
I knew everything was over the moment u left my side
Hold me and tell me everything will be fine
Otherwise, blow out the flame that burns for you
And bury my heart in the deepest grave
Let me drown in a sea of bloody tears
With the sound of my screams ringing through your ears.
Maybe then you’ll know that my love was real.
I’m screaming so loud that I’m crying
And I’m crying so hard that I’m screaming
There’s nothing that can ever make this feeling subside.
confusion slips into our beds
games the minds of gentle heads
twists familiars to never-beens
personas dark mask every scene
far away from hearth and home
on echoes' endless shouts I roam
in vain retrieve my former life
confusion wakes ~ a butcher knife
I close my eyes, think of myself
as being there
to where
screams are free to roam,
then bounce back,
immune to tortured souls
allowed to spread in waves
For some reason,
Ararat comes to mind right now
but to be honest,
Arayat should suffice
surrender,
surrender...
Surrender
All these rocks-- can I disturb you?
Even just this once.
let me
let out
my sanctioned screaming,
and release it to these mountains.

How can it be that you are dead
These thoughts keep racing inside my head
I can not believe it, it can not be true
How can I live in this world without you
My life will be empty, my heart broke in half
You're my reason for living, you make me laugh
How can I go on, how can this be
I'm falling to pieces, please can't you see
I'm crying, and dying, and empty inside
All of these feelings I can not hide
Where do I turn, what will I do
I just want to die and move on with you
They say that I can't, they say I must stay
I must keep on going to face the next day
I can not conceive it, I feel out of breath
I do not know how to deal with this death
Oh, God please help me, please reach out your hand
I need you to hold me and help me to stand
I turn to you now, my saving grace
Please take his soul to a higher place
Whose fault is it
Who's to blame
must it all be ME
only me...
Yes, I have my mistakes
I admitted, didn't I?
Childish ways
Decision sways
Unplanned mistakes
Consequences shake
Didn't mean to,
don't you believe?
consecutive days
dotted months
yearlong vents..
I made you cry
and so I too cried.
I put you to shame
And so I was too.
I failed you
and so myself too.
But..
they are all in the past.
The past.
Won't you learn to let go of them?
[Just I am learning to forget and forego]
However..
If you want to stay there
Spare me.. Don't drag me there.
Simple as I want my peace
I want to move on...
Just to move on...
Do understand this.
Doesn't matter if you will never like me
I won't push you
I won't force you
I won't please you
This never be to be proud
nor am I bragging
nor am I too hard headed.
I just want to discover ME.
not from your mold
not from your dictation
not by force
not anymore in anyone's shadow
Don't insist.
But just me
so...
If you do care
If you do love me
Let me be..

his twin smirks

So soft and pleasant
mine kith’s tumid humid lips
pressing on these hips
Uttering strongly
the vociferous pert miss
quivering
gasping
causing mine
limp
She left this world much the way she came in,
still kicking and screaming and conceived in sin.
