The Call of the Alpha Male

Robin Hood, man in tights
Julius Caesar, might makes right
Alexander, called "the Great"
Sitting Bull, righteous hate
Robert the Bruce, Attila the Hun
Charlemagne, Napoleon

Hear the call of the alpha male!
Warriors leave a bloody trail.

George Washington, man on the spot
JFK and Camelot
Thomas Jefferson, renaissance man
Abe Lincoln took a stand
Ronald Reagan, Richard III
Henry VIII, Harry Byrd

Hear the call of the alpha male!
In politics it's all for sale.

Hemingway, Shakespeare, Kant, and Plato
Chaucer, Shelley, Cicero, Cato
Voltaire, Dickens, Rene Descartes
Byron, Lawrence, Jean-Paul Sartre

Hear the call of the alpha male!
Some prefer to write the tale.

Wolfgang Mozart, dead so young
Leonard Bernstein's song is sung
Picasso, art you love to hate
Ludwig Beethoven, voice of Fate
Bach, Lennon, and Shostakovich
Monet, Manet, Buddy Rich

Hear the call of the alpha male!
Art and music fill some sails.

Joe Montana, football star
Michael Jordan raised the bar
Wayne Gretzsky, Hall of Fame
Jesse Owens changed the game
Rockne, Ruth, Gehrig, Orr
Chamberlain, Beckham, Man O' War

Hear the call of the alpha male!
Athletic prowess up for sale.

Tyrone Power, Harrison Ford
John Glenn, Sir Thomas More
Edmund Hillary, John Donne
Albert Einstein, Brigham Young
James Dean, Alvin York
Margaret Thatcher, Robert Bork
Audie Murphy, Mohandas Gandhi
Chris Columbus, Walter Ralegh

Hear the call of the alpha male!
Now it's time to end this tale.

Woe to she who hears his cry,
Destined, like as not, to die;
For alpha males blaze bright and sweet,
But she-moths burn inside their heat.

You Have My Permission To Shoot Me

( … if you catch me doing one of these.)

Naming any baby Finton,
voting for Hillary Clinton,
complimenting Nascar,
moving to Nebraska,
using "literally" to mean "very",
calling Derry Londonderry,
uttering the word "redact",
claiming Johnny Depp can act,
saying society's to blame,
mentioning fifteen minutes of fame,
feeling sorry for Amanda Knox,
watching anything on Fox,
or even one second of Jerry Springer,
making speech marks with my fingers,
drinking alcohol alone,
admiring Sharon Stone,
labelling anyone a pagan,
sighing "bring back Ronald Reagan",
playing Rod Stewart's "We Are Sailing",
paying money to see Van Halen ...
(and if ever, instead of clever,
I say smart,
I promise to wear -
right there -
a target across my heart.)

**The QUEEN is in the HOUSE**

Queen Elizabeth II
A super hero coin legend,
I wonder who's kissing a$$ during an open Parliament.
London should have a law called "THE PAPARAZZI PUNISHMENT."

**GANDHI the GURU**

Gandhi,
The inspirational force vigilante,
Ignited some wisdom in today's philosophy.
He should have won a hunger trophy.

**RONALD REAGAN meets RONALD McDonald's**

Ronald Reagan,
White House celebration,
A man of bravery and stronghold,
I wonder if heaven has a McDonald?

**BILL CLINTON MAN of THE YEAR**

Bill Clinton,
Made presidency lots of fun,
Why did Monica ruin it for him?
Did Hillary, really forgive him?

**CLEOPATRA the GREAT**

Cleopatra,
All she had to say was abracadabra,
Do you think we would reinvent her story?
If Viagra was invented back in history?

Just Doing My Home Economics

JUST DOING MY HOME ECONOMICS

In four (4) years another USA presidential election will come, but…
I am not trying to get rid of Donald John Trump.
He seems to have hell to confront.
Isn’t it awesome thing to see his children as his backbone?
If he wins again, that is super awesome because he will have fulfilled his promises…
Of bringing jobs back to the USA
Of wiping out Islamic terrorism of today
And, of giving greater liberty to our freedoms in place.

Donald J. Trump probably is an H.W.
That is George H.W. Bush.
One (1) term he possessed as President.
This is where a pattern manifested.

First, Reagan served two (2) consecutive terms (8 years) and was Republican.
George H.W. served only 1 term and is Republican.
Then came a Democrat.
Bill Clinton served eight (8) years.
Next came George W. Bush (H.W. son) served 2 consecutive terms.
This is where the pattern flops.
Why, well the next President should have been John McCann; however, Barack Obama, a Democrat, took the reign.
Everything went haywire from here because a generation should have ended.

In this, since Donald J. Trump is a Republican, the pattern revives to an H.W. where…
Republican (2 consecutive terms), Republican (1 consecutive term), Democrat (2 consecutive terms), Republican (2 consecutive terms), Democrat (2 consecutive terms) – should have been Republican but was a Democrat (2 consecutive terms) …
Republican is now the sitting President, which patterns sways to George H.W. Bush if he serves one (1) consecutive term as Commander and Chief.
If Donald J. Trump serves more than one consecutive term, the pattern ends and George H.W Bush is no more part of the equation.
Donald J. Trump has replaced Ronald Reagan.
A new pattern begins where government and history intermingles and is watched for deciphering.

President Donald Trump

The voting was done,
     and Donald Trump won.
So many are glad,
     yet quite a few mad.
Voters have spoken...
     fix what is broken,
and wipe the slate clean
     though hard it may seem.

Democracy rules
     to give us new tools
find creative ways
     to better our days.
Oft old status quo
     is no way to go.
Outsiders at times
     can shape new designs
to better the plight,
     and shed brighter light.

Think...Ronald Reagan...
     values mistaken...
an outsider too,
     despised by a few.
This Hollywood star
     met President's bar
at last to become
     a great number one.

Yet, Trump, right or wrong
     is mocked by the throng;
no credit he wins
     by those fake-news spins...
on what he's achieved,
     they shape unperceived.

Okay, there are things
     that agita brings,
and some just can stand
     his tweets out of hand.
He is what he is...
     perhaps too much fizz,
but gets the job done
     and tells you he won.

Our nation at heart...
     and zeal off the chart,
let's give him a break...
     in backing, partake.
Unity's needed
     peacefulness pleaded.
Let's give him a chance
     with a cheerful stance.

A Dove Has Flown Away a Tribute To Nancy Reagan

Washington DC deeply mourns
Elegance at its best
The horizon of sunrise to sun down which can both contest
The term “STAND BY YOUR MAN”
Nancy Reagan fits that caravan
Social butterfly
Nancy Reagan was her married last name
But her life also surrounded Hollywood in bringing her fame
Yet Nancy Reagan had a very fulfilled life
She lived throughout her creed
Her mission was to continue to proceed
Nancy Reagan’s name known throughout the world
The world’s heart captivated in tears
But her life contributed in having no fears

It was Nancy Reagan’s pause being her own class act
This is a true known fact
There was emptiness in her heart, and she longed to hear her late husband Ronald Reagan voice once again
Ronald Reagan’s voice did call
I saved you a place to be by my side
Heaven was all prepared
The chariot was set just right
Suddenly there was a strong beaming light
Nancy Reagan responded that the light was extremely bright
It was the signal for Nancy Reagan to come up
I saw two flying Doves
It was each in enduring love
Nancy Reagan will be missed
She left an enriched and embraced life
But she also states, don’t mourn long for me
I am at rest in a place I want to be
Yes I was Nancy Reagan for all to see
But I want you to remember me as Nancy
You know, the one into fashion and fancy
My three components, COMMITMENT, DETERMINATION AND DESTINED
This sums up Nancy Reagan’s life while she lived
Her devotion in time that she would normally give
Her motto, Live on, but be involved
The world’s problems, just try to solve
My legacy of who I was speaks for itself
Don’t think of me like everybody else
As a Dove, I must fly on to the next chapter of my life
A journey far and long, but Heaven is where I belong
I hear music in my arrival
I hear singing of joy
My life has been fulfilled and I want you all to carry on still
I say until we meet again to all my loving friends.

Ronald Reagan: So Long Cowboy

Fold your tent now
Cowboy, the prairie sunset has come
Pull the hat low
Over the silent brow, let the horse go home
Without saddle,
It's round up time for you, the trail is done.
Bit and bridle;
O let it go free, and feel the weightless
World runs with it,
Put the branding iron down, blow out the sun;
The mind's habit
Shutting out the endless tedium and stress
Now can reclaim
The dignity that future-centered men
Denied; the fame
Past-centered men recalled and softly blend
With their own hopes;
And none but the dead ever realized.
Roll up the ropes
The cowboy no more rides, or seek the prize.
Rustlers die fast
Cowboys live long, lariat looping ferile glory;
Rodeo past,
The poled hat and belt tell all the final story.

History Lesson

HISTORY LESSON

I.

Sweet Joe McCarthy who will fill your shoes
Keeping down the reds and making them sing the blues
Your spirit lives on in these modern days
Teaching us to hate in many different ways.

II.

Poor Lee Harvey Oswald I see you sitting there
Living your life with out a simple care
Sitting quietly behind the grassy knoll
Waiting for the right moment to lie to us all.

III.

Wise ole’ Ronald Reagan you taught me one thing
That life simply has no meaning
By simply doing a good deed
When you can be driven by greed.

IV.

Honest George W. Bush you are not the only one to blame
For making the youth pawns in your sick game
Spilling blood on foreign soil
Only to bring back opiates and oil.

George Washington chopped down a tree as a lad
Then told his dad that he'd been bad

With the stroke of a pen, Thomas Jefferson kick-started a nation
Touting revolution every so often with his Declaration

Andrew Jackson had a penchant for whiskey
Native Americans found him way too frisky

Abraham Lincoln was thin but brave
Reunited the nation and freed the slaves

As a child Teddy Roosevelt was always ill
But as President he led the charge up San Juan Hill

His cousin Franklin took over in the Great Depression
And then three times won reelection.

JFK and Jackie ushered in 'Camelot'
'Til in a Dallas motorcade he was shot

Ronald Reagan demanded the Soviets end their stall,
"Mr. Gorbachev, please, tear down that wall!"

Bill Clinton said, "It's the economy, Stupid!"
Before he was cut down by Monica and Cupid

And now Mr. Trump draw lines in the sand
Saying, "Let's make America great again!"

And did you know that Yankee Doodle preferred apple strudel
To a leftover dish of cold, wet noodles?

Hope you've enjoyed this reprise of Presidential history
Which to the majority of Americans is an absolute mystery

P.S. Rumors have it that Yankee Doodle is considering a
comeback run for POTUS in the 2020 election.
His slogan reportedly will be, "Make America
        handy with Yankee Doodle Dandy."
        The "Me-too" movement has already
        dialed in death threats ...

It Came In Our Dreams

“It Came in Our Dreams”

The Others
watch on,
somewhere above us.

we, ant like
form our battalions
soldier ants
with no substantial sting
repelling reptilian
brains in flight
striking our oily deals
sliding into our nightmares,
acrid smoke, bee-keeping our hives
we strike, in routine formations

they count
our worth.
our number
measured
in what always
walks alone
in our dreams.

they send
their messengers
to us, in our dreams,

while we
war
in our sleep,
in the depth
of our despair
in the flow,
of our dreams.

when we wake
we think,
that was so real -
what was that all about,
that was so real,
where are we -
are we really here?

they count
our worth
our number
measured
in what always
walks alone
in our dreams.

we

are more
vulnerable
than we believe.
we are seen
for what we truly are
human -
the fabric of us, flimsy -

easy
and dispensable.

for a while
we
think,
we are
all
there is -
unique,

in truth,
we ...
lack originality.

wars
of the unreal,
Nuremberg 1541
there have always been battles,
could this
have been real,
or just a dream

Tic-tac-toe

we think we
know
it all

battles come and go

what is drawing us
forward and up
out of our bodies,
from the too deep dream
we toss and turn
in our sleep, nightmares
easy regiments -
dispensable, flimsy

souls
without feet.

one war down
another
to go.

It came in our dreams

Numbers are great bearers of truth. They expose and reveal; but do not lie.
For 56 years, the pendulum has swung both ways. Back and forth without delay, for more than 20,000 days.
Both parties' politicians have led an equal number of years Let the numbers report how long they brought joys or tears.

Heroes Are Not Forgotten

Many there be have turn their backs to thee/

No sense of remorse,
No notion of integrity or respect/
You stand so proud with your head in the air/
Waving your hands like you just don't care ?

But none the worse for wear,

Heroes Are Not Forgotten !
Those men and women who have waved the banner high !
With every bit of stregnth that have fought with no remorse,
We often get tongue tied within ourselves/

In the great melted pot we call The United States of America,
It was for freedom that our ancestor's fought to so desperatley uphold/
Far too many of us take it for granted !
They have eyes but tend to look the other way/

Paying litle to no homage to buw their heads to pray ?
One day every knee will bow and tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord !
There will be no mistake about it !
Those that pierced his side and pulled his beard/

Many say that us Christians are wierd/
You will know on that very day that he's not someone that you could play !
Heroes Are Not Fogotten !
Just look what that ass did Ben Laden !

We need to speak up now or forever hold your peace/
This world for some is a will for power,
Perhaps your all in need for a long cold shower/
Stay up late to listen to the radio The Hour Of Power !

No, Heroes Are Not Forgotten in this land of cotton !
We will lift up our head high to look toward the sky/
As a beacon of hope to a hurting worls in need/
Where as other's are just dying to see you bleed,

We will remember John Wayne in this old house of pain/
Bob Marley and The Wailer's,
Ronald Reagan and his awesome plans !
Last but the best Jesus is my man !
