It is undeniable that anguish prevails
It hovers close to a lilting voice
There are no strains to rejoice
Once the beat soars, its genesis tweaks.

Giving alms is obvious
Beyond the ethics of the tithing ritual
Coins jingle, evoking a sound
A decrease in the supply of food.

Newborns lack hearing and verbal ability
The elderly sage dresses chaotically
Elfin babies desire soft touch and warmth
Akin to their late mother's calming palm.

Completely lacking in decency
Deep, the ears were concealed
Whilst untamed jaws sow turmoil
It sinks as a modest, rusted nail.

The crowd heartily jeered
Tears fell over their faces relentlessly
Failure was diligently earned
Mass disgust reached high levels.

The whips roared with mirth
Frames grudgingly bore this duty
Correct ideals will be reinstated
Inept debt must be repaid in full.

The Battle of the Vitasta

While textualizing history
(now after nearly 24 centuries)
Of the Battle of the ‘Vitasta,’ or ‘Hydaspes’
Or the Jhelum (a name now common),
There’s bound to be some swerve,
Which is how (according to Bloom)
Poetry is born—
Now that there are claims and counter-claims:
Alexander conquered India,
(by courtesy of Arrian);
No, he fled, a hypothesis
As advanced, notably by Zhukov
(Who, it is claimed, would know
A fleeing force if he saw one).
How did Zhukov happen to see
Alexander's army fleeing?
GOK!

But this is not an attempt to romanticize the battle,
Glorifying either Alexander and his Bucephalus
Or King Porus and his valiant elephant.
Now, if we go by Arrian, what’s the bottom line?

You were wounded, King Porus,
But it did not matter to you in the least;
But your elephant was killed,
Which decided the end of the great battle.

You fought fiercely— till the end.
So did your men,
But only until you collapsed.
Then they started fleeing
As would any troop in those times—
In the circumstances.

And they were chased by the Greek garrison (in reserve)
That joined from across the Jhelum—
A neat plan that Alexander had thought out
And it worked.
Alas, for want of a rider,… the battle was lost!

Come to think of it,
Yours after all was a top-down system,
As was any such system (Alexander’s included),
Until modern times, which would collapse,
Like a quake-hit city,
When the leader falls.

But that was not the end of the story.
The best is yet to be, as we know.
For you, Porus, it was dignity even in defeat.
And Alexander happened to be
The truest friend and noblest foe.
You, now in chains, asked to be treated as a King.
So, you were reinstated and made the Satrap
(the Governor of the Greek Dominon).

The lesson (or one of the lessons)
that we have learnt from your battle,
King Porus, is this:
Any good team should have a Second-in-command!

Animal Farm

Beasts of England you would make us
As we cowered in your class,
Cornered, while the marks were counted,
By the thought we wouldn't pass.

Soon or late the day was coming
When you'd seize me by the hair,
Maddened that I couldn't answer,
And impressed with every stare.

Still I see your swollen forehead,
Wildness in a youthful face,
Thuggish as your matching curses,
Storming straight towards my place.

How I cherished my exclusion
From your empire on the field!
Savage fights to groom your players
Were a secret few revealed.

But your rage went into hiding,
Clutching hands appeared quite tame,
Youthful charm was reinstated,
On the days the parents came.

As they watched with admiration,
We alone observed the switch,
And we glanced from pig to human,
Hardly knowing which was which.

For a time we studied Orwell,
Learning why his tale was true,
I extended what you taught me,
Certain we had studied you.

Did a scar, repressed and twisted,
Groom the hand that came for me?
Will a gracious breeze detect it,
On a day that sets you free?

Haiku Number Nine/Limerick Re Post

Elderberry wine
It's a knockout, first time round
   Boxing time again

   From Ireland, Deirdre's now calling
She wrote a Haiku that's appalling
If only she'd waited, with words reinstated
Her Haiku might now be enthralling

Premium Member Philosophizing

Straitened are the times
And tight is my pocket.
A glass of brandy
Consumed with contemplation
Is hard to bargain
As speculators have poured in
Shouting ‘buy’, ‘buy’, ‘buy’.

Since out is the signal
The hoarders have barged in
And have emptied the market
Of all the brandy, inclusive of
The liquors that brandished
Even a semblance of flavor
That reminded them of this brand.

After the run-on brandy
Its prices have rocketed sky-high.
Engulfed by indignation
But still the avid lover
That I am of this brand,
I emptied my purse
To offer me a bottle of brandy.

Sipping the liquor in a glass
And immersed in happiness
I sat reinstated to my senses
And to the art of philosophizing,
And wondered whether the glass
That I held in my hand
Was half-full or half-empty.

Misfit to this treacherous art
But tied to pitfalls in my daily life,
I sat there and gazed contently
Through my half-filled glass
With intent and pride, enthralled
That I did not have to complain
About things I can’t change.

We climbed the fence
but I must say
in our defense

it seemed a good idea

but on that day
childhood’s pretense
said “it’s only play”

a dog immense
not trained to stay
reinstated common sense

it had seemed a good idea

The Rejected Baby

It was my moral duty to operate and in many people's eyes, I was admired.
I did what needed to be done and because of that, I was fired.
Four years ago, a baby was born with Down Syndrome and he had a heart defect.
Because of his mental impairment, he was a baby who his parents chose to reject.
I told the parents that without an operation, their baby would die.
They told me not to operate and sadly, I understood the reason why.
They wanted him to die because of his Down Syndrome and some others and I protested.
The parents were taken to court but the judge agreed with what the parents requested.
Even though that damn judge upheld the parents decision, I operated anyway.
I saved that baby's life but my superiors were outraged and decided to make me pay.
I was fired but because of public outcry, they said that I would be reinstated.
I told them to go jump off a cliff, I wouldn't work for a hospital that I hated.
I was fired because of my moral scruples but I had the last laugh.
Now I work at a better hospital and I've become the Chief of Staff.

Who Dropped the Love Bomb

WHO DROPPED THE LOVE BOMB?

Who dropped the love bomb?
   Yes, I confess
it was I-
Who let it fall from the sky.

I flew over the battle-
    In my stealth peace jet-
And I dropped the love bomb
          I have no regret

Yes I dropped the Love Bomb-
For this " crime" I must pay
For now all the people
        Are happy and gay

I dropped the love bomb
     From up above
And now the whole world
      Has fallen in Love

I dropped the Love bomb
     That I will never regret-
I dropped the Love bomb-
      That they'll never forget

Now In the aftermath of my responsible action
    The whole world is filled
        with peace- satisfaction

In the wake of the loving madness-
   Every soldier is filled
with goodwill and gladness
       And no-one gets killed

Happy people
    Without fears-
without care
    are scattered all about-
       everywhere

Mirth Is Strewn haphazardly
    about on the ground
There's no more despair-
       There's peace all around-

The Tanks and guns are abandoned and silent
The Generals are doing a Salsa dance
No one is violent
They've all decided to give peace a chance

I dropped the love bomb
    World leaders all
  insist I was wrong
They can't let this state of affairs carry on

Everybody's singing a cheesy love song-
World leaders are making a tremendous fuss-
They no longer have any control over us.-

I dropped the Love bomb
It was on the TV News
The governments and warmongers are devastated
          They're singing the blues-
This peace will cost them zllions in revenues

They say unless
   hatred
is very soon reinstated.
    To a future of peace-
The world is now fated.

I dropped the Love Bomb
    It was my soul/sole decison
It hit its target with lively precision

The "victims" are still all hugging and kissing
But The governments are still fuming and hissing-

The bankers are losing in revenues
And peace is all you see on the TV news.

Yes-I dropped the love bomb.
Yes I take all the blame-
It felt so good
I want to do it again.

The True Form of Life

The True Form of Life
Life: A timeless adventure from beginning to end.Beginning as  an infant with no worries or secrets,To an elderly senior with desires to live and explore, More than it’s given time.Seeing the great values of life and beauty, Through the eyes of which never grow old,And is the strongest muscle in our bodies.Using our voice to make an input into the world,To finding the answers hidden deep in our souls. Our minds take on the hardest quest,Than any life obstacle could ever thrust before us.But in time, our minds will disintegrate,And all those adventures will never be told nor uncovered. The memories will fade, and the love and strength we control, Will cease to exist. It is the greatest struggle we all fail to accept.Life ends one way or another. Our lifeless bodies become grass and get to live on whether we know it or not, Until the world ends.  From traveling coast to coast and,To clinging on to life possessions earned overseas. It is the ruins of the adventures and passionsthat we try so desperately, to express.Seeing your thirst for beauty expand,Then learning gratitude from our hearts and minds. In a new perspective. One day, the concussions and internal memories,Shall be fulfilled and placed into an eternal tomb. The secrets, hopes, and dreams, may never be fully reinstated,But it shall be recognized.Once you tell someone,Once, you let your guard down,Once you let your person be known,May you truly share a place in this world. It is known as the true form of life. The journey you started and want to continue for years to come,Will be not forgotten,But embedded into the minds of the new generation. Then, finally the struggle to life, Will be no more.

Arcadia Zone

In a place, In another time was where it all initiated
A bombed out place with mixed climatic systems, Reinstated
But moving on in this place gave me a cerebral pulsation
For within and outside these boundaries, I knew no realization

Was it entirely fictional in all its worth, Or was there sense to my thoughts
I knew paradises face was not written in the smoke, With cascading numerics and
endless noughts
My perceptions redeemed the credible flashes of reality, But I was in suspension
I agonized walking through splinters of fire and wrath in this cultured dimension

I caught a hollow lie in my head, Which was rhythmic until it spread
It was then that I realized this place was not real, Only a fantasy in my head
And then I became aware that this existence was never ending wonder
Looping and cascading, Everything with psychedelic elegance, A shattering electric
thunder

Brilliance came forth in verse and actuality, Amongst my mind their thoughts
manipulated
A cataclysmic pulse scored my spine, As if I was charged, But deep within felt
simulated

Anything in composite material form was reassuring, But the dreams struck like
death
Nothing in this world titled Arcadia with flesh, Only skeletons with expired breath

Arcadia has claimed its child, Swallowing in gulps, And taken aback by the ferocity
I am the Tempest swirling in all dimensions, breathing in the atrocity

The End.

God Never Dies

I too once assumed that by doing good
I could redeem my distorted bended soul
When I had actually done some of the worst

I thought I could do better than Him
Chained myself in guilt and disgrace
Beating life up, till things were back in their place

Turning a blind eye on the loving touch
who was sweeping up the hurts I in fact brought about
sewing back all the broken hearts

I thought I could be a better god… or a "responsible gal"
if I don’t let go off my faults
and keep scratching the healing cuts

I kept ignoring the loving one
whom poured down springs of cure from His core
To make me whole as predestined in the garden of “Noor”*

I thought I was making better my wrongs
By lingering in the faded lands
When we gave up to enemy our inherited stands

Not perceiving the victorious knight
Conquering all those captured grounds
Recalling us the monarchy of the reinstated time…

that’s why He is called “The Ancient of time”!

Oh, My friend! Can’t you see…
He has done more than what you can think
Laying down bricks of gold where ever the enemy had destroyed
Adorning it with heavenly gift impart
Don't you see the ending has become better than the start?

Lets trust Him and His plans unfold
Let us throw ourselves into arms so bold

He is mending, curing, sowing
I am healing , thriving and growing...

Let us affirm the Loving Hand!
Let’s not linger in the ugly past!

*Noor means light in Farsi.

Contest of Soul Consciousness: why is God still God at the end of the day, Creator of Heaven and Earth, creator of all therein, including man (and his Soul) worthy of all praise?

Premium Member Smelly Rags Stinky Man

I am just a filthy dirty human made of dust
Dirt formed as clay made by the hands of God
The only good thing in me is GOD spirit that dwelling in me
How can it be that I have intellect, blood flowing through vessels
And a brain the disciples like a computer I don't understand
Sin is a choice it's a nature that is embraced and covenanted
By man's desire to be of pride and be a lair
How could I have embraced such a thing for my great-great-great-great-grandfather Adam Caused the downfall he brought in this thing called sin through wretched disobedience
Then a compromise then he tried to turn it all around by blaming it on God
Mankind stinks this also includes women kind not as only by the nature of sin that we dwell
It's by this through disobedience that makes us stinks and smell
We stink and surely hurt the nostrils of God
Being with that said that a second Adam had to be created
Brought down to earth to be reinstated
And now through all the chasms He chose to save us
A filthy rag
But I am so glad
That He was on the right hand of the Father
And H e said let me go down to save your children
Save their souls
Let me go Father I go, I'll be liken a clean perfumed the aerosol can
Send me Father prepare for me a body
That I may redeemed them
Though I smell of rotten stinking flesh
So I may dry up and nothing but Dry Bones
Will be left once my spirit soul is separated from my body by death
I will be United with my holy Daddy, Father God in heaven
Where I will be brand new spiritually no more odor, no more decay
Mans no more dust for his God
So in the spiritual realm with Him while we continue to live in Trust
No more lies and mistrusts, stink and disgust
Amen

Release the Tape

They say that fear is F-alse E-vidence A-ppearing R-eal.
That can’t be true because I bore witness to Chauvin’s kill!
The video went viral on Facebook, an epic timed release, a
very stark difference from the initial statement of the police!

Who should the public really be afraid? Corporate, right-wing
media as usual cast its fear-mongering shade.., it’s ‘Them’ with
their unusual human strength like brute jungle apes, who the Cops
say are the aggressive threat, but they refused to release the tape?

They tell us the system is blind, impartial, fair, and objective
that one’s wealth, power, gender, and race, is not a factor or a nexus
Lady Justice may be blind but from my own perspective, the one-sided
tale that the videos clearly tell.., I don't see justice.., I always see just us!

Let the tape be released like sunlight through a darkened cloud,
it will cleanse and disinfect all the social sores that have too long
been allowed.., to fester from deep-rooted indifference and hate, so
it’s time to let the truth be known, that’s been captured on the tape

We’re told, “Don’t believe your lying eyes, trust the full investigation,
there’s more to the tape than meets the eye, might alter your persuasion”
Your prolonged analysis and inquisition simply does not begin to reckon,
with an amateurish videotape of (9) minutes, and (29) agonizing seconds

So stop with the smoke and mirrors, and own up to an institution outdated
Let’s reform a badly broken system and get one that's equitable reinstated
Its starts with complete transparency, of this fact there can be no debate
To establish justice, equality, and trust with us, you must release the tape!

A Candle For Judas

the flocks will leave in droves,
faith restored spirit of spirit
many will rejoice

deliver us from evil,
evil for the evil now exposed
coiled snake tongue resides

sacrilegious, sacrilegious redefined
Judas, truly risen from the dead - divine

in light of truth heroes welcome well received

denote all demigods,
reinstated supernatural omen resolute

for those that slay your name,
justice comes their way,
they witnessed evil deeds,
guilty drop to their knees

Judas this religion
you have saved us from,
not one soul perished
the truth the light succumb

a simple story told? christian hypocrites?
catholic demons? atrocities, holocaust,
antisemitism hang their heads (in shame)

crimes against humanity - man is not judge and jury
Nazi-mindset to blame

the innocent find a way,
the meek will inherit the earth
...if there is anything to save...

six million souls denied their lives

Judas, victor, savior rest in light truth

He whoever saves the world saves the world entire
...our belief knows the truth...
