Unlike being alone
Celibacy is a choice
A commitment to oneself
Maybe for a lifetime
Maybe for a growth cycle

Celibacy is a desire
a need to focus
to reevaluate

Celibacy is a spiritual journey
concentrating with minimal distraction
time alone to reflect
to hibernate
then re-emerge
cocoon
metamorphize
journey inward
explore the great depths of the self

Premium Member Now That We Are Here

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by, and
That has made all the difference".
The Road Not Taken. Robert Frost

We deem it normal for babies to cry when they arrive.
Perhaps it's the best indication that they are alive.
But in their minds, it seems they are issuing a protest.
Notwithstanding, it takes only a little bit of loving caress,
and, just like that, newborns succumb to affection and tenderness.
It's as if a baby accepts it by saying, "Now that I am here"....

What if we were just as adjusting when life presents us with the
unexpected? "Now that we are here" would be a calming and mature
manner of course. We will never know the difference our lives would have been or would have made had it gone just as we had planned or how we
had prepared for it to be.

Before now, I had not given much thought to what might be happening at
birth in the minds of the baby, but I believe that there is a God-designed element within us at birth that gives us an untrained instinct or hidden
desire to make adjustments when so required.

Sometimes, when we are drawn into places that are unplanned and unsuitable, or by our own intention, we have every right and a need to
protest and seek an exit. But then, there are times that we of necessity
must bow to the situation and say, "Now that we are here", let's make the best of the circumstance. Let's reevaluate and recalculate. Let's reconsider and recheck the GPS that God has given us.

"Now that we are here", who knows but what God has brought us or allowed us to enter this place, this season, this misfortune, for such a time as this?
Like newborn babies, let us indeed protest this strange turn of events. We
absolutely have been given a will, a uniqueness, and a mind of our very own.
By the same token, we must occasionally turn aside and say, "Now that we are here", what now? Now that we are here, a place we never intended to be or to go, what shall we now do? Does this way lead to my destiny? What new ideas and inspiration await us? I know whereof I speak, and I must say, mine has been quite a ride.

R - Requisite

Restless restoration
Return
Remove all the rubble remaining from the rampant rift you released and retracted
Remember?
I recognized and revealed your ravishing rituals and repugnant relations
Rippling into your relentless rampage
A recycled retaliation, resonating with regret and self-revolt
A response reused rather than repenting the wrong
Ravaging our rare relics of reverie without remorse in your ruthless rage
You have rendered a realm of ruin; relinquished of reason and rightful retribution
Reliving the reoccurring rumbles of this relationship as I rummage through the wreckage and reassemble the rivets and fallen rafters
You have run out of radius, only to reappear in my retrograding reflections
Recollecting till I rupture and regress
Reminiscing, recalling the rapture and revelry repeatedly
The rain that remains is relevantly rational
A requiem to rot for the rest of this reality?
Reevaluate righteous relief
Rust over, rise up or seek revenge

Empathetic Eyes

Somewhere in the world someone was suffering
as I laid awake at night and realized
my time had come to vindicate my reasoning
why I should see with empathetic eyes

So cynical was I and full of judgment
as a homeless man approached me for a dime
I failed to stop and think just for a moment
this could be ME at any given time

I had to reevaluate my blessings
for MANY I’d been given through the years
and taking part my heart began confessing
my empathetic eyes revived with tears

I prayed to God for kindness and compassion
to recognize and love humanity
and when I asked for His divine direction
His empathetic eyes acknowledged me

A Poets Revelation

My rhymes are not to stimulate
Nor accommodate for the way you feel
But it is who I am
That is the admiration
Behind my self-expression

Regardless of imagination or fiction
It is the real world,
My real life
That flows from my mind to my pen
From my pen to my paper
And from my paper to society
That needs to realize,
When it comes to me
I’m just keeping it real

Everyday events
Seem to trigger my senses
For my fingers will penetrate
And they’ll be nothing left but
A harmonizing ring
A song that seems to sing
A melodic tune of what I do

I won’t reason my feelings
But I can analyze
And learn to grow from where I am
Take a look back, and not
Justify my state of mind
But to let me be
And let it go

A poet is not defined
By the clothes they wear
Or how many poems they write
But the impact of their words
And the truth in what they speak
A poem is not defined
By how long or short it seems
Or whether it rhymes
But how it exemplifies you
And how it is plain to see
That without a doubt
It could only be
The work of a poet, me…

I reevaluate the situation
And my infatuation seems to grow
And yet you still should know
That I’m real
That this is real
And yes, I still keep it real
And nonetheless,

I may never stop
As my rhymes continue
All my thoughts revealed

Premium Member Fog of Neglect

resisting change
has not
done me
any favors
losing track
how times evolve

perpetually convinced
that my priorities
line up
yet neglecting
to reevaluate

my brain kept in a fog
I’m quite delusional
reluctant to question
my ways of being askew

I Know Math Therefore I Am

You think your smart
but I’m smarter too.
You think your bright
but vision lacks within your sight.
Why say these things do I?
Because brighter smarter, I can sigh.
Dare not indignant ask me why.

Answer quick, I know
the means times square and pie
declare you to I.

These numbers smart do not make you.

Stunned and shocked to reevaluate and ask I am who?
If not a number calculator my self I find is not true.

Madison's Tears

Virginia, June 8, 1789
James Madison penned the constitution
And on December 15, 1791
It became America’s resolution

The first amendment clearly states
No abridging of the freedom to speak
We may assemble peacefully
With either praise or critique

Facts gathered respectfully
Researched and verified
Presented in a competent manner
So that it’s content is clarified

I am sure this is what Madison meant
When he wrote our Bill of Rights
But people with little or no morals
Have taken it’s meaning to new heights

Our legal right is so often abused
By members of this human race
Speaking not the truth, but secret lies
WIth intent to besmirch and abase

Words contrived of anger not fact
Whispered by a substandard class
Are nothing more than calumniation's
Intended to demean and harass

Comments made in hidden fashion
By those that know they’re wrong
Should reevaluate their own self worth
Before dragging others along

This law was established for one and all
But with this privilege comes obligation
To compose your words with integrity
Absent of false representation

So if you have something to say
That is of any importance at all
Speak only the truth loud and clear
While standing proud and tall

If James Madison were here today
Surely his eyes would fill with tears
At how his words were misconstrued
And dismembered over the years

Premium Member Eclipse Reality

Devastated by lost love;
emotions morph into tears.
And fragmented fantasies;
fuel imagination.

Mourning innocence's demise;
you reevaluate trust.
And garner hope from wishes
left at the fringes of youth.

Passion's promises echo
deep within an empty heart.
Yet, the illusion of love
can't eclipse reality.

Drowning in a sea of tears;
love dies, and yet, hope survives.
And tethers yesterday's dreams
to a better tomorrow.

Footprints

Over and over I play the scene in my mind.
The day I let go of God's hand. Only to be left behind.
My purpose in life is a long and winding path.
In fear of tomorrow. Scared today is my last.
Lost in a world that is dark and grim.
Everytime my path is lit my lamp is out of oil again.
As I reevaluate my life it's all 20/20
I stumble in a rut and land to my knees crying.
As I come to my senses I am greeted by a superior being.
Quieting me mentally to keep me from worrying.
With a gleem in his eye he stops to stare.
Then I get this feeling I have nothing to fear.
He held out his hand as if to Rise.
I could tell that he cares. I see it in his eyes.
Now when I look back there are one set of prints in the sand.
Because when in need God came to me and gave me a hand.

Ecliptic Silence

Hopeful but its so mundane
Filling the hollowness with more empty pleasure
But it takes my hand and and walks me through this withering decay
Into the ecliptic silence,
Self medicated diluted dreams
A mixture of over stimulation and desensitizing me
Somewhere between ominous and beautiful
Letting the darkness consume my conscious brain
Until the sun can realign and pulls me back into this day
To overcome this strange numbness
Of self inflicted shadowing
Butterflies once warmed me up inside until I pulled off all their wings
Holding memories I cant forget while praying to a God who has forgot
But we are only allowed to keep the things that we have already lost
Sometimes living is not enough without sovereignty
As these flightless insects crawl back inside
Then perhaps through their death life would be more satisfied
Finger deep I draw a line then stand to face a blackened sky
I reevaluate Your presence now without You Lord then where am I
Because this is me You were my light, subsequently my faith has died
Somewhere below the surface of this shifting unstable world of mine

From Solitude To Faith

Alone in your world of solitude, you do not wait for anyone to care
your mind and thoughts are satisfying, and with you do they share
wisdom and knowledge they are your light, what was once far is now brought near
seeking answers for all of your questions, to them guided by your inner ear

Meditating and illuminating, this world is but a testing ground for your soul
you've been reincarnated, given another chance, this world is really your parole
keep in mind with your time here, many above are watching what you do
your life ceasing and again being brought, to a place which no one has a clue

While judging your life, to the hairsbreadth of truth, your actions they will surely
measure
for sins committed will you be punished, but for your good awaits you unforeseen
pleasure
what is it all for, you question, the wisdom of this world is it really part of life's goal
you don't know, but heaven wishes it so, maximizing the rewards to be earned by
your soul

While reading my words and contemplating their meaning, maybe asking how do I
know
what audacity I must have to write all this, thinking I just made up words for this to
flow
then know, if you follow the truth your soul will not lie, truth is only whispered to the
discerning ear
failing to achieve reward for your soul while still here, something really deserving of
your fear

After all has been said, do not regret, it pays to reevaluate your direction and take
note
if you think that after this life you'll be pushing up daisies, why bother trying to stay
afloat
plan and purpose have we all been put here, expectations for us to try and achieve
desire for us to pass this test, to overcome our challenges and just start to believe

Can you feel the spirituality
In the baking of bread
Feel the core of your reality
In the washing of a dish

What is it you hope to achieve
By this, will you believe
By rushing to a fro
What is it that you will know

Is there something that you wish
Do not limit your mentality
Take a moment, rest your head
And reevaluate your normality

And make a wish

Resilience

When you have nothing left.

It is imminent that you create your own peace of mind with every direction.
Take some time out and evaluate.
Reevaluate.
Make peace with the things which we control, and the things we cannot.
In time it replenishes the pieces of ourselves that we constantly give without putting back which we give Placing ourselves as priority over any given situation.
It's not so much the appearance of how these things work.
But the inner workings.
There's much strength there.
In finding the key to abundance

Over You...

we use to have love
we were like a glove
perfectly happy
now its snappy
screams
teams
we arent us
whats the fuss?
isnt this what you wanted?
for my hearts growth to be stunted?
for me to weep
everytime i try to sleep?
for me not to be able to read
because of what you did to me?
and me to not even watch a movie or video
with out thinking of you-oh
i thought we would get close again
that it could be better than
what it already was
but it all ended cause
you had to reevaluate
no longer appreciate
what i was to you
that i loved you
we use to get those chills, the butterflies
when i saw you, it killed my fathers lies
life is no nintendo game
yea, thats what Slim Shady sang
you cant undo what you just did
 to me
man, you've gotta be kidding me
and i apologized to you
thats what i wanted to do
but now i want you to say yoru apologies
my heart is drowning in deep seas
of pain and hate
but then again, fate (is mean)
fate is mean and spiteful
the things you said was frightful
i cant believe i feel for the love song
your love is what i use to long (for)
now i could care less about you
ooooh whoa yeah
i could care less
then when i wore that dress
the look on your face
damn that was priceless
i flaunted what you never had
so now im glad
that it ended
my wish is granted
to be happy and pleased
my soul has been released
so go to your new hoe
i just want to let you know ohhh whooaaa yeah
just let you know
(pause for instraments)
im so totally over you.
