The Reel of Life

Life is one fascinating movie,
Whose cast love in a world,
Created by the imagination of splendor,
Beauty of power,
And the sweetness of success.
But at each scene of the movie,
Lies a minute des position,
Of a dream forgotten,
Of a vision unfulfilled,
Of a dream unrealized.
As the reel of life rolls on,
So are fates and destinies reached,
Some so beautiful,
Others so painful,
The melancholy of life.
It is so unfortunate,
That the movie is shot without practice,
The cast with hardly an idea of the script,
Unfold the drama,
Mostly with incorrigible errors,
And at the end,
It's a Bravo to one,
And a lash of regret to another,
The reel of life.

Reel Life

Celluloid escape magic
to another reel life
perhaps with Sundance and Butch
or was it Mister Tibbs?

Hunkered down in the cool
darkness of an afternoon,
hands all buttery,
rocked within a theatre's cocoon
while learning the meaning of a Classic
or song and dance man,
the terrors of imagination,
mysteries of sea and sky.

Not a mirror of my life
but a myriad of human emotions
evoked by this still affordable luxury
that remains a great escape.

Reel Steel

She was called the “pride of india”
Why? She was Brit-built …
They that faced the mighty ocean
In ironsssssssssssssss
Ssss…Slugs but for the mighty wind
Blowing, blowing, blowing
Rolling over that ominous ocean
The men of steel!
No wheels….
but they reeled…. in
Goods worth more than gold
From India and all around
Back to that mighty crown
Not steel, but gold!
Dotted with colored gems
The real steel…
Could have done for themselves
Instead, did for that crown
Soft as down…
Why?
The abyss knows
steel melts to molten tears
and the brewing cauldron knows
the rust bucket…

Choose moment foiled
Over moment gone or none.
Penance paid all bard alas anon.
Bars of boxcars rolling down
Canals of clotted wax;
These are the facts
As I know them to be;
Sum total me.

Scratch barleycorn
For earth and inch for truth.
All tiny, tiny words
In huddled masses gathered,

Shouting to lexicons of legion
To be heard;
Dismissed among the ignorant,
Ravished by the mute.

Small signs a-stirred,
Greater eye to bear.
Greens of noble painted
On a dolly rode in blush.

Gathered, huddled masses moaning,
Leaders gone in rush.
Each laddered youth
Hurled and hurtles trying;
Downward where were depths
Of others dying.

Stalwart soldiers any age,
Refrained of vigor,
Each enabled page to what advance,
Their worried families charge.

For some day one be stored
In someone’s garage,
To this day or that,
This club or bar
Or water cooler chat,

Between the sips and drips
And pressing, passing lips
Of death stood still.
A word of faded quill.

Sometimes times will reach
Into each soul
To wrench a tear;
Not so often fear,
But poised and posited,
Twirling dance
Of darkened hope.
Spoke and spake
And speak and leak and leave;
Never grieve for what it never was.

And huddled, muddled,
Gathered masses weep and cheer.
Gasses bottled.   Grasses mottled.
Leopards changing spots.

Dots connected,
Sinners unprotected;
Searched until their eyeballs bled
Yet could not see their own with same

That flicker once, until the flame be out.
Done by water cooler spout
And with the masses tiny, huddle now.

Always Reel

I live my life in fast forward;
Only pausing when I sleep,
I broke the button for record;
So I could press play and never rewind,
Because it's all live and unscripted;
I'm sponsored by those that hate,
Those who pay to see me fall;
But they never see a return on,
Their "sure thing" investment;
For I never trip, never hesitate,
There are no commercials in this race;
The show always must go on,
And when the footage gets rough;
I simply improvise,
With me it's always reel;
No green screen in my truth,
The weather channel is always nice;
Because I never listen to the forecast,
I make my own sunshine;
And even when it's cloudy,
I'm always down
For the drive-in theater;
So if you're ever in my town,
Come see the show; my life;
Yours may be on TiVo;
But mine's candid raw...

Silent Projector Reel

Hush, hush ...
late-night reality peepers
Roll the eyeballs, but don’t you dare gossip talk
Blush, blush ...
keyhole camcorder creepers
NDA motility disability got publicity legs that walk
Nude
Discreet
Activity
Keep it on the hush, hush ...
spin the cash credits on a silent projector reel
One three zero K lap dance lewd
Do a horizontal tango with triple X size feet
Drunken adulterous revelry
scripting an unpatriotic production of infidelity —
Red Chip-n-Dale cheeks
White poker paleface
Blue light kitty straight flush
Here’s the table stakes deal:
Bought silence projector reel
spend spinning on a hush, hush
Trickbaby presidential suite,
high-class hooker in a VIP seat
Just another Golden Tower dirty secret projector peek —
reel silent Stormy eyes know, but don’t speak

Ilene was on her morning walk
When she saw a grandfather clock
But something was wrong!
The clock had no dong!
It was a replica Tik Tok!

Sure Nuff Gotta Be the Reel

From far and wide.
To see the
Big Island Rattlers
Verses
The Desert Snears
Alot of planning
Across sport negotiations
Stuff to say in conversation
Nothing's ever been like
This before.
From riding someone's coattails
To individual dominance
Secure the worm
and cast the rod
there really jumping tonight
Tune the band
Rent the hall
We call this one
a humdinger
Say, did you see the beautiful
Smiling face
She think she's pick that right one
You know that special one let's
Just wait and see
Bayshore special
And a Desert Delight
Time for talking
Is whining low
The hype men
Getting a taste for crow
Tell everybody
Like I know
It's getting down
Tonight!

Glares

amiss the dark night
the diamond starts to glare
people stop in amazement
to look and gaze and stare
beautiful the diamond
as time passes by
glimpse
 of forever
the beautiful diamonds
in the sky!

love light the night
to have us dance the night away
to sing in the night
while the beautiful music play's
drink wines and to be drunk
to love like passions ends
to make love til the dawn
as the new day begins

Cause I know whats going on

spreading gossip
unraveling everything
that you knew

if he didn't look twice
he wouldn't have seen her ring
didn't know she was with someone else
that's what's started everything

and the brawl beganned
fooling round
with the the Missus

I do love you
always thinking of you

I'd let you know
all this tension
and distinction
aint never enough time to settle down
the last words mine

and I don't wanna hear

and you stop sportin that frown
come on baby
