Best Reached Poems
They are walking! Walking, walking, walking!
Long stretches of walk - hundreds of miles of impossible uncertainty,
in blazing sun, in sweltering, muggy, heat - running away from an Inferno.
Home, sweet home! Villages with shady trees!
Destination!
Thirst, hunger, bleeding.
They trudge, fatigued babies hanging on their shoulders like sandbags,
starving infants clutching hands, tears dry on their cheeks.
Men and women - walk, walk, walk!
Leave cities where cruelty is the only language,
Villages with shady trees -
Home, sweet home, far away.
Burning sun, sweating bodies, dry throat, growling tummies.
Slog beside railroads - follow tracks,
no trains, no buses, no trucks, no vehicles,
only two weary feet to carry them to their destination,
plodding with all their might until the body can not move a step further.
Lie on the tracks - it’s hard, it’s cold, it’s comforting!
Come rest, come sleep, come death -
Blood-stained tracks-
Destination never came.

Goal Reached ~One Thousand Poems
Dropping by with a bottle of champagne.
Hoping you don't mind if I come in from the rain?
Wanted to thank my small, but grand group of followers.
I give each of you a bouquet of gorgeous, fragrant flowers.
I wanted to reach the goal of 1000 poems tonight.
And, I tell you doing that was both murder and delight
I realized, too, my poetry is never one-liners.
I won't apolize, here, just think a little longer is finer!
And also, three cheers to PS Administration
They do a great job~without them, how could we
communicate in such poetic perfection?
Remember the day you first came here?
So, do have some bubbly and to all, three Grand Cheers!
With love and respect

??Isaiah? ?59:1?-?2? ?NIV??
[1] Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. [2] But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
Oh, God that I would question your reach
For it was the foolishness of me
That had kept me in bondage of darkness
My arm not reaching to learn your ways
Blinded by the world teachings
And traditions of man
That loves praise of man than you God
For this is where Jesus came to save us from
Oh, God your hand reached down
Unto the depths of my soul
Circumcising the old man to the grave
When I threw up my hands to know you
How abundant is your love, mercy and grace.
For greater is the Spirit sent from Jesus death
Than is in the darkness of mankind ruled by the evil one.
Your hand reaches down to snatch One from death.
To resurrect one unto a Living Child of God

used to have ambitions
goals
wanted to be a nurse and I did that
was on a mission to be a wife and mother
but life took me down a different path
I always had this natural ability to write
not something that can be taught but born within
and I have the gift and love of dance
and in my dreams and reverie I imagine
myself a world famous writer
poet
and in my fantasy sleep state I am the best
dancer
on the stage as I leap and spin and fly
and the audience applauds
it is really a wonderful dream
my destiny was written
and my family my love and baby (reside in Heaven)
I have no brood of children no parents
(no husband yet)
my life has taken a different path
I have friends who are my tribe and support
and I love them so much for that
they are my kindred spirits
so the purpose of my life is this . . .
to be the best that I can be at whatever I do
and to dwell in peace and tranquility
and I have traveled a journey far and winding
to a place where all is serene
and have at last reached my
destination

Do not dismiss me without a thought
If you listen carefully I'll share a lot
Although you may witness
a body that's weak
Within this mind
May be the answers you seek
I can still see clearly
although my eyes begin to fade
One day soon
Into the ground I'll be laid
Not very long ago
I was young and strong
Our youth is fleeting
It doesn't last very long
I never expected to live so many years
I have known my happy
I have shed my share of tears
Wisdom chose to come
unfortunately late
Those things I thought important
In the end we're not great
I've wasted much of my time
on the trivial things
Sought out pleasure
instead of spreading my wings
There were a few hearts
I broke along the way
That is my saddest regret of yesterday
Most importantly
this heart has known love
It's the one true gift
from up above
For Love set my feet firmly on a narrow path
Me who is flawed
Has escaped God's wrath
For in the end
I'm gifted eternity
Life is much bigger then I imagined it could be
Thankfully my journey has brought me here
I am a reflective surface
I can be your mirror
For your life is just starting
Don't waste a single day
True answers are revealed
when you learn to pray
Love others completely
Forget "Number One"
Seek out your purpose
it will lead you to be the Son
Too many are living
with the goal of self to please
The world is plagued by this horrible disease
Choose a purposed life
not the one of ease
Reach towards heaven
before life vanishes like a breeze!

An end - reached
An end is in sight, it has finally been reached.
Throughout the journey, much was preached.
Back to the beginning, when stories where first told.
Many are far to exposing, are much to bold.
Telling stories of other souls, got some attention.
Telling stories of mine, as well, got some mention.
In the end, one comes to realize, the soul, the spirit
that came to the fore, opened a door, but nothing fit.
A long five years, delving into buried history
opened eyes to, once upon a time, that was the story.
All the stories believed, perceived, brought to light.
All the stories lived, insight did give, slipped out of sight.
Given wings once again, now to take a final flight.
All that lay before, exposed, wrong or right
will, more than likely, go down in silent flames
as one, wordlessly, comes to the end of the games.
It has been an interesting and rewarding journey.
Time to be laid to rest, creativity laid upon a gurney.
Carried off into that great and glorious ether
where all becomes as one, as you and I either
share in the common cause, or go our separate ways,
to make the best out of what are our remaining days.

Internal breaths ignited
Long distance, loves conquered all
Conjoined, twinned forever

In my wretchedness, so miserable
God compassionately reached down to me;
Offered me His precious love, valuable…
He paid by His blood* of sacrifice-fee.
From heaven, He came to give me freedom
To unshackle me from sins’ bondage-chain;
Against eternal pangs of hell’s kingdom…
He ransomed my soul while guilt had me slain.
Thru His forgiveness-might, He sought me out
Ushering me from unbelief’s prison;
By His Word that conquers fear, woe and doubt…
He secures my spirit by His person.
Thus, I can approach Him with faith’s fervor
While living for His glory and honor.
*Romans 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God.

Jeeze You've Reached Your Limit
Jeeze
You've reached your limit
Quit your insane bellyaching!
Before you explode
~
You can't spring a swing
Not unless you're in a ring
When you fling your fist
Like Muhammad Ali's hissed
“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”
~
They'll tell you to bring it on and you'll miss
Put you in a bear hug if you persist
Give you a big kiss
And go away laughing and singing their heads off
~
Be a smart cookie
Stop being crazy and
Give it a rest
Float away like a butterfly
Let the bees make their honey
So they won't give you a sting

You Reached Down
When my arms where getting tired
And the water was coming
Over my head about to drown
While all smiles had turned to frown
You reached down
And gave me your hand
And said my child come with me
I am preparing a wonderful land
Where the godly will be as
Numerous as the grains of sand
My child I will wipe away those tears
And always be near
So there is nothing to fear
I am now with you
Listen to me as I guide
And I will comfort you in these wicked times
You say My Child
Go out and shine like a light
So all can see the one with all might
Is coming to gather his children
Bringing them home to unite

I prayed till I touched Heaven,
I got the victory that night.
When God heard my cry he said,
“Child trust me, I am the light…”
I know your life and your cares,
and I know just what to do.
If you trust me I’ll give Grace,
enough to see you through.
My Grace is sufficient for everything
that you will have to bear.
With every temptation you will face,
a way of escape will be there.
Just look for that way I’ve made,
and I’ll give Grace for every need.
I’ll never put more on you that you can bear-
If you follow where I lead.

Reached Their Peak
Our autumn leaves have reached their peak;
the gold and reds, subdued with brown.
The scenery appears so bleak
as wind-swept leaves fall to the ground
where leafy patch-work quilts abound
to cover lawns as trees dress down
and bare their limbs that once were crowned
with brilliant gems of fall's mystique.

God Reached Out
I was walking down the
Street one day
When I felt it in my heart
This feeling deep in my soul
I knew it must be God
A new path had come to life
And set before my eyes
Tears ran down my face
Because of how I felt inside
I could see my old life
But it was in the past
I felt something in my spirit
I didn't know I had
God was reaching out to me
Because I am his child
When I thought on his goodness
I couldn’t help but smile
I finally found something
That changed my whole life
My worrying days are over
Now everything seems right
God reached out to me
Saying child take my hand
All the things you
Wanted to know
You now understand
I learned a lesson, that
Changes are made
The price for my soul
Jesus died and paid
I am no longer the
Person I use to be
Thank God almighty
I'm finally set free

AS I WAS LAYING AWAKE, LATE LAST NIGHT.
WITH THE DARKNESS ENGULFING MY BODY AND SOUL.
SUCH AS THAT OF A WARM WOMANS BODY, CARESSING MINE.
SO SOFT A TOUCH!
I REACHED FOR YOU.
YOUR NOT THERE.
BUT IN MY MINDS EYE I SEE YOU.
I SEE YOUR FACE.
YOUR SOFT EYES.
YOUR SWEET SMILE.
THE GRACEFUL CURVES OF YOUR TENDER BODY.
I FEEL THE STRENGTH OF YOUR SPIRIT.
IT FORMS AROUND ME .
A SOFT CACCOON IN WITCH TO REST MY TIRED SOUL.
AND IT IS THERE I FIND.
MY COMFORT.
MY STRENGTH.
MY LOVE.
