Don'T Quit Your Daydream
I left it there
Tucked into a warm corner
Beneath the ancient Elm.
I return frequently
To visit this moment
Bathe in its peace.
Listen for the rustle
Of leaves, the chatter
Of flippant squirrels.
Sink into the warmth
Of moistly scented soil
And crusted tree bark.
I left it there
That dream
That day.
I return
Longing to continue
That days dream.
