Little Fire

I witness you fading away,
The winds blow frantically
They are against us, as all are

Little fire, rise in my cupped hands
Be it my life I shield from the elements so unfeeling?

Little fire, brighten as I feed you
This moisture receding from my pores must cease
Before I drown this diminishing beauty

I gasp,
Surprised at the howls and retorts of this icy tempest
Nature’s exhalations mean to end what must naturally end
My hands shake
Little fire—my life!
—I must keep you alive!

Grow against all odds
Against the screaming whirlpools of bluster
Against the torrential tears that mean to overcome you
Against the ashes that can only watch the desolation around you,
As you search for more fuel to masticate

My flesh is no treasure to me,
So lick me deep, my flame
Devour these hands that shield you
Rise hastily, as you burn
 Ascending up my arms,
Lighting every goosebump, shriveling every hair
Rise till I am all aflame in this wilderness
Boil and evaporate every murderous tear—
The fluids of sorrow that so pulverize purpose
Eat through every sinew, and every tissue,
Every muscle and every bone that has grown
For this moment and this moment only

I give you every piece of me, little fire!
So that my spirit, finally free, shall rise to the heavens
Past the shrieking winds, preceding through the jeers of thunder
I give you my all, blessed fire!
So that these eyes may witness every storm die
And I may laugh at their futility!

Words of Mass Destruction

Words of Mass Destruction

Words like bullets do not have eyes, as they fly in our hearts and materialize
Deleterious breaths that we soon despise, words written in stone we idealize

Warring weaponed words that paralyze, wounding wandering words terrorize
Torpedo texts thrown to criticize, paranoid punitive parasites will pulverize

Like the Atom bomb, words are strong only use them wisely where they belong
Some create a lullaby or sweet a song, while others use them to do their wrong

Words of deception create no affection only intervene with the inflating infection
Annihilating in their corrupt convention, wary words that bring rigorous rejection

Of the negative neurotic neglect, wording witches and warlocks of their architect
Dehumanized discord of disconnect, vengeful letters lashing will always resurrect

Words can frighten as well as enlighten, some will delight in words that tighten
Words of corruption bring self-destruction, a raging ruction of a serpent seduction.

Premium Member Dangerous Glory

This Aphrodite rose
slowly unfurls
pink ombre balms
of sun-kissed
springfalls,
as the luminous
lake of tears
cascade in
exotic wreaths
of honey-soaked
velvety sepals,
there succulent seeds
of zestful dawns adorned
our silken sheets
across luscious meadows
sprinkled with
glistening cosmic dust.
Yet neon streaks
of longing unveiled;
romanticized rainbows
engrossed within
fire opal clouds,
awaiting to drizzle
pleasing odes,
amalgamated with
drops of opium
meant to reveal
   skeletons and secrets,
sculptured as
sultry souvenirs
    of seasonal streams.

But ripples of reminiscences
reflect how
      you and I
weathered howling winds
through unseelie storms
of oppressed lovers,
gliding in sync
to the echoes
of midnight screams,
rising from
sumptuous seas.

So, tonight, as curtains
             fall in
hues of dusky dews,
cover me in sunrise
when the bleeding heart,
of blue-laced estuaries,
rhymes with
sangria vesper time,
where tomorrow’s
ocean ferries
purge prose
that never denies.
Let fervent
pearls pulverize
my colossal tarp
as the morning glows;
I ponder,
do mourning petals show,
the folly of
moonlit melancholy?

For you’ve devoured
the alluring depths
of campfire stories,
burning
untouched edges
within our twin souls,
whilst
    cosmos
         trembled
               and sighed
     in poetic ecstasy ~
we seized our
unsung melody…
For this
    remains
             as an
     untold version
      of our
           dangerous glory~
  etched on cupid’s
      amethyst arrow.

Moon Spoon

It was a lovely sight gazing at the curved moon
Spooning with the tumultuous waves of the sea
I was walking along the lonely beach when this
Moon spooning called me and arrested my look
The night rapt in painting illusion in its universe

Now the moon chuckling and cuddling the crest
Next minute the crest spooning with the moon
Impatient to grow in glee to its full a golden orb
A perfect solitariness except the surreal sounds
Of tide rising to pulverize the moon on the sand

I keep gazing at the moon’s pretty bright cheek
The two moon spoons like dimples with drops of
Turquoise sea from the finger like Greek creeks
As if Pablo Picasso is painting the lovely spoons
Of liquid light raising a beauty of hide-and-seek

The world nowadays is mostly a place of pain
The scene of delight therefore was enchanting
I enjoyed as long as I could wait and quench
Then I put it in the pulsating pink treasure box
As an aim to dwell on to keep boredom at bay

Premium Member Titanic- Fare Thee Well

On a fine April day, set out in the great cruise ship, Titanic,
Into the pelagic waters of Atlantic, with the weather alluringly sweet.
Plush it was with beaming fellow travelers and amenities astounding.
A journey of great excitement under a star-studded sky at night.

With the crew so hospitable, there was overwhelming warmth and conviviality.
Wine and liquor flowed down through gullets; tasty cuisines were served.
On the deck couples and lovers waltzed, a sweet breeze kissing their cheeks.
But tragedy loomed large in the form of an iceberg, unobserved.

I sat away from the crowd enjoying the rising gaiety.
What was the deafening sound I heard from near?
With a violent shake, the huge leviathan turned to one side.
Hardly knew what was happening, but sensed death was not far.

Hit hard n' ripped into two pieces, the vessel began sinking into the waters.
Amid euphonic melody and revelry, some didn’t know what was happening.
Some in panic ran helter skelter with growls and groans renting the air.
A man gave away his lifeboat to a mother and child, his own life abandoning.

It was a moment I witnessed the beauty of selfless love.
I was inspired to give away my lifeboat that I secured by chance.
A divine spark hit me, and all anxieties vanished instantly.
Sudden was the transmutation, I saw the whole scene in a new stance.

Heaven’s fire was lit in my breast and in love, my spirit began to glow,
How great it is to give life to someone who needed it more.
I heard the angel’s voices flit, saw a new door opening wide.
Had a fleeting vision of the heavenly hall with aureate roof and glazed floor.

I knew all my agony depart and hope instantly sparking.
With God on my side, I felt sinking into the icy depth,
My mind was calm with an unusual courage filling my every nerve,
And my horizon growing bigger and enlarging into uncommon width.

My inaudible parting words were “Goodbye Titanic, fare thee well,
In the oceanic depths, you stay as a symbol of world’s fleeting glory,
Making men think that fate can shatter and pulverize human hubris.
In the sunless Atlantic lair, lie down ageless to tell your allegorical story"!

Premium Member Bring It Down

a memorial in time
bring it down
bring it down
a testament to bravery
bring it down
bring it down
a witness to chivalry
bring it down
bring it down
a monumental beauty
bring it down
bring it down
a statue turned gargoyle
bring it down
bring it down

I'll bring it down
this monument of words
this epic work of art
with hammer and chisel
with my bare hands
with my fingers torn
with my heart worn
I'll bring it down

I'll bring it down
Down to the ground
This abhorrent thing
grotesquely formed
no longer adorned
this thing of shame
remnant of the game

I'll bring it down
I'll pulverize stone
Only dust will remain
of what I disdain
washed away in the rain
of the tears
That you brought down....

Premium Member What Does Pulverize Mean

What does pulverize mean? The five-year-old asks me.
His face is a frown.
“No idea,” I lie.
Having already put up with sobbing wailing
over the Easter Bunny’s beheading
which was explained by his 11-year-old brother.
Brother who giggles and runs off.
No telling how he has used pulverize.

Premium Member Jerusalem, the Jugular - Part One

You can't imagine what its like to march on a sacred city,
to plunder and pulverize a Peoples' promise to Deity,
demolishing centuries of lavish labor, wasting offspring of ancient heredity,
destroying flesh, scriptures and stone with a savage Roman military synergy,
a discipline determined in it's destruction of dissention, inspired by ancestral victory,
politics was not our purview, methodical punishment was our specialty,

We were War's royalty, we were Legio XV Apollonaris,
monsters of Mars, messengers of Apollo, the juggernaut of Jupiter,
along with 11 other Legions led by General Titus, 60, 000 cuts of glory we stood,
for 3 and a half years we fought through Jewish guerilla ambush
asymetrical urban warfare welting our progress like a pirate pestilence
district after district, hell spell after hell spell we bled with chilled maneuver,
the Zealots were pyromaniacs, burnt sacraficers, their zeal and our bodies zesty wood,
in the Kidron Valley they flooded the streets " knee high " with oiled water
as the Cohorts waded through the lanes leery, a torch was tossed, flames rose in rush
240 men perished like spazing stars trapped in a box, our grief agape with a horrified crush,
as reprimand, Titus made the Legate sit in a tent with his chopped off ring finger
smoldering like hot sand in the hand of a marooned man aware of error in his plan,
the insurgents had men we called Fox Tails, desperate demons who knew how Hell began,
as a skirmish succumbed to our skill and number they would run into apartments,
dragging the fury of our blades into rooms of Hades revenge, these were fire entrapments,
the buildings would blaze like windowed volcanos, screams salting us with panic linger,

It was not uncommon to discover a missing Brother Legionary
castrated, and decapitated with a headedless eagle carved upon his chest,
don't speak to me about morals and mercy for I have seen and dealt the damage of rude death
hate becomes your Father, vengence your Mother, aggravated murder your cause
when everything you revere and fear merge to make a leviathen of life,
the " Chosen People " of God became the chosen target of annihilation,
Mount Moriah, mansion of Yahweh the Pariah would become capital of Divine crucifixion,

When you have fallen fast asleep,
I'll crawl toward your hall and creep
out through your door...

Advancing quickly through the gloom,
I'll prance into your living room
and as you snore,

I'll pulverize your rug and purr,
while sizing up your Douglas fir,
and when I...

LEAP!

I'll dangle ever frantically,
until each spangle from your tree
is in a HEAP!

I'll SLASH your floppy socks's toes
and GNASH your boxes tops's bows
in savage bites!

Then lift, at last, my pretty tail
and spritz a blast of 'Kitty Male"

...to wreck your lights!

Premium Member Stalking the Sullen Gods

She spurs me on
Like a violent wind.
She howls to me in the night
Like a siren.
Her light is red as blood.
My flesh is cold as steel.

Sweet dew is a nectar.
She gathers it with teacups,
Stirs it with a bent finger,
Tastes the life-blood of earth,
Singing silently in her mind.
There is no need for sound.

She reads to me patiently
As to a child.
I listen, and interrupt.
Her voice is as piercing
As a Bene Gesserit.
I tremble with violence.

Tomorrow we may dance together
In the steely dawn.
The shutters are down;
The gowns flow all red and black.
Surely some secret is at hand.

I make my bed by morning.
There is no sleeping there,
Only turning like a storm,
Kicking in the night,
Wanting to seize the force,
The everlasting.

The aperture is open
The glass is clear as day.
I revel in in it .
I soak and darken in my soul
Like a sunspot.
There is no need for singing.

Praise be to almighty Thor
Or whoever carries the club
And hangs a tooth about his neck.
They are one, those restless ones.
They are not meek, nor tidy.
Each day begins with them.

Secretly as a cloud,
Those forms appear,
They evaporate again.
Most useful is their image,
They do not irritate the skin
Or pulverize the mind.

Frankly, it is beyond the pale
What mortals fear and would revere.
Beating a drum might drive away
The awful dream
Or call in reinforcements,
Conjuring a pleading battle cry.

Premium Member A Worth While Wednesday

Major misery must have been mounting on Monday.
The traffic jam miraculously DIDN'T end until terrific Tuesday.
The traffic at 4pm was winding way westward which was way
More than what we wished was wishful thinking.

Well it was a colorful and confusing week.
All the while we were planning to pulverize the players
Pitilessly with BALLOONS filled with punishing cold water.
Wow Wednesday wasn't way off.
Meanwhile we were wishing it was Wednesday while we
Wrenched each others woes.

Finally that night we played planned and prepared.
Well we wasted our wretched wishes on the traffic jam.
All we did now was whine and whimper.
The traffic jam was dwindling.

We weathered our way to the entourage eatery.
Got our gare and resolved to BOMB some BUTT.
We took the back entrance way.
The best thing to do would be to BATTLE our way
Through the restaurant to the front entrance.

Then we placed the enemy he was made and he saw
US too. He motioned for us to return to the rare.
Soo we discussed it for 2 minutes.
He was waiting for his boys.

So we cooperated.
We went toward the rare.
BUT...
The enemy had ARRIVED.
NOW what the HOLLERING HELL!!

we knew everybody had the same thought.
WE CAN DO THIS RIGHT HERE. NOW!!
, the first guy is waving no, no.
He was afraid of flooding his job.
Everybody was ignoring him, and laughing.

The SHORT OF. IT
Best to be backed up by water bullets.
Basically bombarding your enemy.
Some of us were just a little bit BLISTERED

From the HOT car ride.
Soo many of us sort of Welcomed the bombardment.
One of us made a spinning move and a slam dunk
Like. He was playing basketball. He completely
Obliterated his opponent with a large blue water balloon.

But he caught one in the face.
Both sides were having handfuls of fun
Until the popular prolific police arrived
Saw the place was swamped

And forced my friends and i to abort the
Blundered mission running pass the
Pensive police down the narrow path.
That was a WORTH WHILE WEDNESDAY.

KP: With embellishment aborted,
sidewalk and street talk wail from paper.
Tears vividly seen because cursive one's don't wipe away.
An intrinsic institution allergic to plagiarized allegiance,
we're born and bred to bleed blue from womb, and the wound.
Traits of our soul incarcerated in a pen case
presenting selfies that speak volume without an impediment.
Lingual masseuses with mischief marinating, depending on
which taste of epic we prefer.
We write to pulverize color barriers because underneath the shell
tethered laughter is majority. Lumen repair technicians
dimming differences, a cultural mend from cultured men
adjoined through their pen.
Siamese artistes with an umbilical transporting manna from our
third eye to feed the famine.
Brother of mine, break bread with your pen

RL: I too do not wish to embellish
So I place my ear upon the sidewalk of discovery
For I wish to hear the colour of your steps
Our souls are meant to breathe upon paper
The fibres of the papyrus bleed into our convoluted minds
as we give of our panicked moments
Ours is a calmed darkness
A mimicking hope
Yesterday flows over tomorrowed possibilities
as we attempt to rewrite answers to those questions never asked
Differences float above our commonality
So we choose to dive below the surface
For beneath our papered skin resides the hearts of free men
Paper converted by pen becomes flesh
The bond of brotherhood
Tethered between minds
Transported beyond societies perceived differences
For we choose to anoint our spirits in blue ink!

Thanks Keith for joining me in this creative adventure.
It is a pleasure to write with such a talented writer.

Who put Breonna Taylor in "Harms Way"?Was it a snitch that the police trusted? We must, and it is a "Duty" of "Justice" to leave no stone unturned!Who put Breonna Taylor in "Harms Way"? The Police on that day caused real "Harm",and that is a real true fact, and that is true and perfectly exact! That was a terrible act! Too Short, Too Long

why do you haunt my mind in this infinity?
you pulverize my sanity
bringing my knees weak and eyes close to tears
hopeless heart, breaking inside, can you hear the crackeling?
can you hear the snapping? first my mind has gone and now, you steal my heart
i want a refund. . . i want our love to be made pure. . . when you are only mine
i dont want to share. . . ever. . . i want us to be made pure
why can i not have you, why will you not be mine?
im slowly loosing my composure
you are hers, i will not accept this fact, can not
you are mine, i know it, through our skin touching
we made love, though forever was too short
your driving me insane, breaking me more each day
and yet i said id wait, am i insane!!?
now i musnt say that you must choose
me!! or her!!
i dont want an alternitive!
i want you to choose me
but i feel that you will not
and so i must wait
collect my patience
i must wait
collect my patience
i must wait
patience
raiin patience
teach myself patience
i must wait
today is dreary
the rain is falling slowly
today, can you leave her?
today, can you make it beatiful?
i would dance with you in the rain if we could
but now as i am in a different building you are so far away
but now, as you might loose katy, you are so far away
i dont want to wait
just take me or release me from yourself
just help
how can i wait
when i want you soo much
how can i wait when i need your touch
your eyes stare into mine
but can you see my hurt?
can you see my pain?
can you see my distress?
can you see my love masked by it all
can you see my death in the eyes of a crow
they foretell me in my dreams
can you save me?
dont make me wait?
forever is too long
