Pressing Buttons

I have these buttons that people press,
That make me a little crazy.
It might be someone who leaves a mess,
Because they are too lazy.

Or it might be someone who makes a noise,
When I want to take a nap.
Or my brother who takes my toys,
And my favorite baseball cap.

An elevator has buttons too,
That take it up and down.
It happily does what it’s told to do,
And doesn’t make a frown.

Maybe I won’t jump again,
When my buttons are pressed.
I could just count to ten,
And be a lot less stressed.

Pressing On

Yes, I’ve been struggling
But I never gave up
Just kept asking my Father
Teach me to drink from this cup

Many days, I’ve fallen
Many nights have passed me by
When it is that I‘m calling
He wipes the tears of my cry

Father, forgive me
I’ve done it all over again
So many times as the one before
Have I committed this sin

So YAHUAH, help me
Teach me to go and sin no more
Cause I feel I’m not going to make it
I really want to live forevermore

In Yahushua's’ Name

Ahmahn

Then there was silence, and YAH said,

A just man falls seven times (but he gets back up)
Never does he stay down (he gets back up)
Keep trying to be true through the pain
He keeps pressing on, (pressing) pressing all the way.

Pressing Lips

I love taking in your delicious ideas
rolling red carpet on my tongue
your exquisite taste lingers in my mind
caramel kisses tracing the paths of my soul
pecking soft delicate notes on a tapestry of love
drawing lines linking spices
refining our rhythms uniting as one
......
dressed in red silk
I await your answer

I'M Pressing On Still

On rocky ground I did fall

But up I got and still am pressing on

Tears did soak my pillow all day

But my heart be not weary

Oh I am pressing on

My eyes still on the prize

Though my feet hurt

I shall not rest

‘Cos am still holding onto the prize

With sore feet and trembling hands

I will crawl to the throne

To received my own crown

Even with tattered clothes

I will retire not till I get hold of the gold

Pressing, Against the Pricks

Dotting about land mines eyes half closed
Asleep she seems while walking unto this edge....
Repulsion taking hold fey flags his juggernaut: jostling
King snakes slithering past these planetoids searching for her lizard queen ?
Demimonde's state of this union's address devil-may-care; and that he does dear dusty
Acheron your systematic servitude touch'stone's, tour de force: stigmatic ellipses be genetic
Your red rum rivers his macabre's subtle genre in another's, covert genocide their general assembly
Standard-bearers taking oath they solemnly sware savoir-faire satyr's, satanic satellites: diphtheria's diplomacy love's night.

Premium Member Pressing On Looking Unto Jesus -Phil 3: 12-14, Heb 12: 1-2

As we look back at our years past
but look forward to what's to come
we see our need to walk in faith
walking on keeping our line truly plumb

So heed Paul's exhorting words
to leave behind all of our past
straining forward to win the prize
that goal of Christ likeness to the last

Pressing on to take Faith's hold
pleading His promise on our knee
getting our focus fixed on Jesus
by faith's eye perfectly we see

For this Jesus endured the cross
paid our debt setting us free
so now sits at God's right hand
pointing us forward by His decree

So move on in this new year
with Jesus as our blessed guide
believing on His power to change
holding Him close staying at your side

('Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians ch. 3 vs. 12-14 (ESV)

'Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.)
 Hebrews ch.12 vs. 1-2 (ESV)

Pressing On

My demons walk in step
with my aching legs
knowing where my toes are soft
how heavy last night was
where I might choose to stand
when resolution isn’t mine
they beg me to stay, to be wrong
even when I’m resolved to move
they know my spirit’s name
and that he’ll flex his fingers
and make them fear
but now, with nothing to lose
they’re here
still, directing my hands
to tap the keys of a minor chord

but even so,
it’s a beautiful song

it is sufficient, he is gold
even when he’s been clamped shut

I’ve been here
Ligon constantly as my feet
with Elizabeth Arden soaked words
nestled into my wary fist
I’m only wanting more
just to press on while the rest sleep
to feel beautiful again
as opposed to what this was,
a sad story, an error, a night terror
a far cry from
what you were
pure
amor.
Y ahora lo se que, de verdad,
te amo.

Pressing Giles Corey

I am no martyr, no ghost, nor wizard great
They laid rocks all upon me, and again I say
I will not plead, more weight, more weight

I was a farmer, in the spring of Salem late
My wife is to be hanged the following day
I am no martyr, no ghost, nor wizard great

Oh Martha I’ve sinned, though not what they state
There shall be no confession, so here I will lay
I will not plead, more weight, more weight

I’ve afflicted no person to meet this gruesome fate
Accused by a witch they say changed her way
I am no martyr, no ghost, nor wizard great

Three days pass, my conviction won't abate
Stone by stone, my hope for reason gone astray
I will not plead, more weight, more weight

Crushed to dust, before they’ll clean my slate
Oh Miss. Hobbs, for your betrayal you will pay
I am no martyr, no ghost, nor wizard great
I will never plead. More weight, more weight.

Pressing On

She watched the mountain intently
Like a bird who’s nestling of dwelling, complains
Yet, neither will move --
Reality blooms;
A surge of genius
Strikes the hollowed core ~
Worrisome thoughts she shan’t abide…

A mother’s love still strives,
Strong willed fledgling must now -- fly
Search to build, its -- own nest
-- Mother bird soars above the mountain -- mind at rest

Comments:
An elder once said teach them well in the ways they must go… Like a hawk one must keep a
watchful eye for they are still your prizes; you never know when they may come home to
roost again... Or at least visit…
However, if they can't respect the home then its time
For them to fly on their own...

I'M Pressing On For Jesus

I’m Pressing On For Jesus!

I want to press on for Jesus today!
May I be attentive!
To what he has to say!

I want to seek the cross,
and it’s true meaning.
May HIS will in my life,
become more revealing!

I want more of Jesus’ love
 to daily surround me!
It wasn’t I, but the Lord Jesus
 that found me!

I want more of his word,
 to nourish my mind!
May his example in me,
be what others find!

I want to seek his forgiveness!
  I always need it!
His blood can wash away any sin! I believe it!

I want you Lord, to come and fill me up!
Take your spirit’s oil,
 and fill my empty cup!

Thank you Jesus for this!
 And everything you do!
Help me to press on!
And keep loving YOU!

Pressing Matters

The instant you are reminded that eternity is made up of these E = mc2

Premium Member Pressing My Luck

Bowling night, I had to try
Asked her out and her reply
Yes she said, I’m on a roll
She agreed to watch me bowl!
Inspired I was and couldn’t wait
To do my best as I felt GREAT!
Oh what fun it was that night
My team won big as I took flight!
Afterwards we enjoyed the bar
With friends of mine and she would star!
Shake me please could this be real
She was amazing with her appeal!
On that night it was clear
We’d be wed and have no fear!

Pressing On

On shaky ground I find I walk
I hobble and wobble but still I walk
There are shadows that lurk in the dark
I can feel their eyes and see their mark,
But still I walk, I know what I seek.

PRESSING NEEDS

It is necessary to know about the world
       of dreams, so that poets
        can freely hunt poetry...

         So this way world can
          receive the beauty that adorns
           life...

So that way poetry can establish
             its magnificent kingdom of kindness.

               So peace can achieve
                the grand harmony that this
                  world yearns for...
