Premium Member PICTURES OF YOU

Dedicated to My Darling Little Sister, My Punky

I love looking at pictures of you.
I stroke your hair, touch your check –
I even pat your nose and slow grin.
Such sentimental heart peak
No better grin could seek.
I love looking at pictures of you.
My eyes glow looking into yours -
My fingers trace your sweet face.
Such tender sweetness flows.
It is a blessed love to know.
Looking, I feel its precious glow.

On your pictures, I love to dwell
For since you were but a morsel
I have been your softest sell.
I love looking at pictures of you,
My baby sister love pastel.

Flowers Die,Pictures Fade

I wrote this in memory of my uncle.

Flowers die and pictures fade,attempting
to erase every memory ever made.

Letters are lost while the clouds roll in,
letting the rain pour and the sadness begin.

Feelings are lost and people pass on,showing
us we're the one's who have to be strong.

GOD gives us strength to keep our head held high,
not letting the wonders of the world pass by.

Love everyday and you will see, miracles
happen when you believe.

Nothing can stop you from living your life,
even when the pain cuts like a knife.

Some family we've lost and some still remain,
leaving only love and happiness to be gained.

Some memories fade while the best never die,
leaving you with feelings of wanting to laugh and cry.

People make the biggest impact without even trying,
then everything changes when they are dying.

Ton's of faces get lost in the crowd,
to your surprise certain one's stand out.

GOD gives you love and never leaves you alone,
providing a loving family along with a good home.

Life will bear obstacles and put you to the test,
but you have to be strong and always try your best.

Never back down from any hardship thrown your way,
it will make you stronger until your last day.

Say what you feel in your heart and never back down, even
when your taking your last breath take one last look around.

Angels are singing a song only you can hear,
complete the last part with an open heart,
and absolutely no fear.

Flowers will die and pictures will fade,
but your memory is one that will always stay.

In Loving Memory of my Uncle
                                             You will be missed dearly.

Premium Member Burn the Pictures

Pour the acid in my eyes
To burn the still frames in my mind
Take the memories away from me
Because you don't exist if I can't see
To see the pain that you have caused
Of course to you there is no loss
Seeing is believing that much is true
I wish I meant the same to you
So if you please
Before you leave
Pour the acid in my eyes
And burn the pictures in my mind
Take all your memories away from me
And you won't exist if I can't see

Pictures and Postcards

Pictures and postcards
crumpled up letters
memories of moments
captured in a nighttime dream

Picnics and flowers
warm summer breezes
whispers and kisses
captured in a daytime dream

Feelings are flowing, circling and dipping
creating allusions - causing confusion
life pushes on - pressing and pulling
leaving a memory etched in a restless mind

I wait - alone - one with the morning dew
scared - lost - in moments without you
no going back, no turning back
scared of a future with no you

Pictures and postcards
crumpled up letters
memories of moments
captured in a nighttime dream

Feelings are flowing, circling and dipping
creating allusions - causing confusion
life pushes on - pressing and pulling
leaving her memory etched in a unclear mind

Muddling through motions
moonbeams and raindrops
sunshine and silence
Life goes on, or so it seems

Don’t fall in love with your pictures of love
For the odds are that you are mistaken,
Thinking that she must be this thing or that
The more sure you are, more likely taken.
Her skin coloration, the language she speaks,
Don’t build structure of dreams out of rubble
Strong or compliant, can’t say from the start,
Expectations are sign you’re in trouble.
Love’s its own answer, it writes its own song,
And its breadth is beyond vision’s limits,
Deeper than human emotion, LOVE IS,
Paradise only found in its climates.
Newfound creation as God’s Bliss evolves,
Endless surprise that all mystery solves.

I sit here reminiscing
Looking at my pictures of the missing

In this one, he’s in the first grade, with a smile that's wide and bright
That MISSING tooth in the center, he lost the previous night

Here, he’s in the snow, with it still falling from above
Look at his little cold, left hand, we never did find that MISSING glove

Ahhhh, look, he’s playing baseball, with that silly crooked hat
I’m afraid he’s MISSING another pitch with that way-too-heavy bat

This one is a birthday party, he is counting the candles on his cake
Unfortunately it was MISSING one and he turned twelve again by mistake

Oh, here is his first car, a fixer-up indeed
It was MISSING most of the engine parts that a running engine really needs

In this one what is MISSING you cannot really see
But I am sure that he is MISSING another class at University

I hope I didn’t mislead you, my son is still with us today
I am just looking at old photos and having fun with some wordplay

Just
                                                     I
                                                Float on
                                               The River
                                            Along the shoreline
As the birds seem to follow me
Flying tree to tree, they are full of life, happily
My journey is just a restful one, a day in the life of nature, fresh air and the sunshine
I float in the precious moment that passes by with these sights like treasures to find, painting pictures to hang, with thoughts in my mind

Pictures of An Angel

Beauty spanning the years
As delicious to my eyes,
As Mozart is to my ears

Stunning, stunning...
Wordless to describe,
The visions of loveliness
As a doctor might perscribe

An envelope filled with love,
I thank my God above,
How ever I captured thee,
Will be a mystery to me.

Framing Pictures

Poetry is my photographer's way of taking a picture,
my way of capturing the moments our hearts envelope
and need to express. It's a snap shot
of the before, in between and after seen now...
NOW, RIGHT NOW!...

...What - I - felt,
What - she- thinks,
What - he - will - do...

...It encapsulates the heart of each poet's under-
standing for how to bring everything into words,
and focuses the listener into a sure way of receiving
what others mean to roll into your camera.
The seconds passing can now embrace the all
of life AND time for you to have now...
NOW, RIGHT NOW!...

...NOW can have more than the speaker standing
and the now that is spoken, but can release
the imagination to discover the realness of what
connects us all and en frame the totality of
existence into this moment...

As the shutter shuts, you impress into the world ideas...
Ideas like love lost, or an oak tree in mid-autumn...
You can engage your heart to feel united to a teenager
who lived 350 years ago and bring her back to life...
as well as unlock and set free your terminal uniqueness
and end loneliness forever now,
NOW, RIGHT NOW!...

...All you have to do is read and listen
and we can connect to each other....
maybe not this poem, maybe not the next...
let the shares become the film developing,
staying tuned in...
and everything you've ever been waiting to hear
can reach you!

...You can feel oneness with others,
ease the pillar of your soul,
comprehend your inhibitions,
put to rest your cravings,
or set loose your laughter...

...Time can angle your lens and catch what everything
looks like, but a poet can capture and increase
the moods and tones of the photo so you can
FEEL what the picture looks like with one flash...
and cause a picture to breathe....

So......take a deep breathe...
rub yourselves into your clothes....
...feel the texture of all the material,
maybe on your thighs or your shoulders...
..........smile...
go ahead and feel the texture of your own smile...
...SAY CHEESE...
and welcome to the now, NOW...
right now.

Pictures

The things you’ve done,
I can forgive,
But I will never forget.
I know our love,
Is very strong,
But all things,
Have a weak spot.
Those pictures hurt me,
Beyond belief,
And I wish you would
Throw them out.
Of you and her,
Smiley and happy,
They make me want to cry.
I don’t want to seem,
Like a burden,
Or a controlling girlfriend,
But the signs,
Are so obvious,
That I want them gone.
But take your time,
As I know you will,
Because I cannot ruin what you had.

Premium Member Pictures In the Sky

White clouds sail across skies of blue
Like an ocean above, I view
Sailing, floating, just like a kite
Merging together, feels so light
Pictures in the sky, I create
As my mind tip toes around fate
A few light raindrops catch my eye
Falling from pictures in the sky
A smile emerges just in time
To see the kites fly in this rhyme
To make a boat from paper too
And sail through peaceful skies of blue

Poetic Pictures

Scenic seasons are right reasons
for us poets penning our songs stunning;
Splendid Spring, we sweetly sing,
Sunny Summer whispers warmer truths,
Famed Fall sheds its hued haul,
Then comes wan Winter’s snow sprinklers ~
Witty words paint pretty pictures.

PICTURES OF HAPPINESS

Smile
summer
warmth
with me
and hold me
close to
dance.
Sway me
spin me up
in sweet embrace
Hands to hands
we swing~
hop
once, twice
twist then shout
moving
left
to right.
Round!

Round
against
cool
light breeze.
Some fresh blooms
swinging
soft
under
sunshine curve
and cotton clouds
red, pink, peach,
they blush,
hush!
Amazed me,
I run free.
My hair
rock
with the
winds.

Winds
echo
sounds
Ring! Ring
of ice creams!
Giggles
you
and me
rush to buy
cookies and cream,
licking fast
while grins
touched
our lips.
Cheeky me,
I dot
your
long nose...
Wink!

Premium Member Pictures Drawn and Framed Today- Portrait of Youth

The grass was always tall and green,
Every day seemed like a dream.
In the tenderness of youth,
All of life rang with the truth.
Oh, the wind blew just for me,
When I ran so wild and free;
Cooled the sweat upon my brow.
It all comes back to me somehow.

Treasures of my yesterday,
Pick me up, take me away.
Memories etched deep in sand.
Destiney reached out it's hand,
As the fire in me grew;
Where it led, God only knew.
Pictures drawn and framed today,
Take me back to yesterday.

The times were so much different then.
I thought that it would never end.
Blood ran red hot in youthful veins.
I kicked at life and held the reins.
Charged hard in stampedes every day,
That led me further on my way;
Where storms were met with confidence.
I saddled up the turbulence,
And rode upon the strongest gale.
Now youth is gone and I just sail,
Life's quiet waters peacefully.
The wind is calm... I'm truly free.

Pictures of a Good Father

When it comes to being a good father what do most young black men see?
Can they picture their fathers passing down any legacies?
Do they remember any male bonding or talks on how to be good men?
Do they have any perceptions or even comprehend?
Unfortunately too many households are single parent with only a mother in residency
Caused by incarceration, unemployment and dysfunctional inadequacies
Too many don't have a clue of what a good father should be
As the father factor in their lives was one of obscurity

But God is the ultimate father figure to each and every man
And if you desire to be like Him read His words and follow His plans
To become a good father you must examine the Holy Scriptures
And hopefully you'll be able to obtain a good father picture
Now tapping into God's heavenly Twitter account
And Facebooking the Gospel to see what its all about
Fully prepared to formulate, cultivate and stimulate your spiritual life
So that your behavior and way of thinking lines up with Jesus the Christ

A picture of a good father is a man who leaves a financial legacy
So that his children won't exist in a state of abject poverty
By showing them how to save and how to invest
Leaving a fruitful inheritance and a full hope chest

A picture of a good father is a man whose vine is rooted in a strong foundation
And structured to lift him up in godly formation
Respectful, resilient, loving, loyal and kind
Of strong moral conviction and secure in his mind
Knowing who he is and what he could be
And having healthy relationships with every member of his family

So if you're broken, bitter, angry and have any doubts
Seek God and a professional to help you work it out
And i say this to all women and I hope you receive
You need to let a man be a man to his family
Stop disrespecting him and put your anger and pride to the side
He is doing the best he can so work with him by walking stride for stride

A picture of a good father is a man concerned about his community
Who comprehends we live in a global society
A man who gets involved and not stay isolated
As we are all a part of this world that God created
A picture of a good father is a man who loves and respects his family and community
A man strongly rooted, striding humbly and secure in his spirituality
