Best Pebbles Poems
We became like pebbles on a beach
touching in the depths, caressing in the shallows
Crystal waves, crested us above the deep abyss
In ever ending caress, we were carried together,
brushing, embracing tribulations as we progressed
The further we were washed, the more we became estranged
Stranded we eventually became, the depth in our love drifted amidst
Slowly, different tides brought different waves
Cross currents were gradually pulling us apart
Discarded like driftwood, with it's meaning of existence
What we were, and what we had became eroded
It reached the point, where we couldn't communicate
All became lost as we entered our abyss
We aged like pebbles on a beach, only to be turned into broken stones

Violet
star stream
flowing
across
the
soullessness
of
mundane dream...
Whispering "everything's alright.
She's thriving like a spring fed rose in saintly gardens.
An angel brightly glowing.
...of this dream.
I staggered along a ragged path.
Through a battlefield of metal devils-called "quartered living.
Faith folding and unfolding.
Garnished with ogres slinging burning orbs of fire.
Halos of insanity...
This is when violet star sashayed in.
Soothing me
Shielding me
Her weeping rosary telling me.
That she loved and missed my heart.
Re-fastened our very being with a satin dream kiss.
That had tattered in the talon of time...
lifted me across the bloody broken battered fields.
...into the arms of forever
where the beat of pristinely only flies.
So fly my love, fly ever so softly into me.
If dreams mean anything
I know it won't be long.
till we dance the dance of butterflies.
Over green sprigs and lacy things in a warm summer wind.
In the heart pond of gilded tomorrows.
We'll gently drift about.
Make origami sunflower love.
High upon a gilded glade...
If dreams mean anything
death is just a splash
of black pebbles
in a violet starry stream....
If dreams mean anything,

Gardens of sea pebbles
glistening 'neath the moon,
shining their finest glow,
ride the tide as it slinks
away in ebbing flow.
Gardens of sea pebbles,
bright with seafloor colors,
mingle with calm sea life
that hug nocturnal shores
beside Poseidon's wife.
Gardens of sea pebbles
bead chains of jewelry
sparkling with waning waves
that cleanses their design
in gems that garner raves.
Gardens of sea pebbles
vibrant as the youthful
Goddess Aphrodite.
Exquisite adornments
gifted by Amphitrite.

The Pebbles (Kunjarra)
By
Kevin L Fairbrother
The Pebbles a sacred site near Tennant Creek
A mass of granite boulders spewed from beneath
Surrounded by wind swept plains of red dirt
A relative of Karlu Karlu/ The Devils Marbles
…
A place of eerie dreamtime long time past
Aboriginal women and girls… Hairy Women
Dancing in the twilight… The Munga Munga
Sacred to Women, ritual rites, Mothering business
…
Sunrise and sunset a changing spectrum
Of red and purple on the Pebbles boulders
Intertwining beams filter and color the surrounds
Creating an experience of dreamtime long ago
…
No place for men, their spirit excluded
Only women and girls meet and greet at the Pebbles
For hidden within the boulders the spirits of old
Awake… eerie creepy moments that interrupt sleep
…
Visit and take away an experience of dreamtime
The Pebbles transport you back in time
Relive the vibrant Munga Munga dance
When the sunset intermingles with the Pebbles

In a land far far away.
Down by the sea.
Out near the caves.
There stood a giant.
And he was after me.
Only because he liked
the taste of human flesh.
I thought maybe I could reason
with this giant of a troll.
I tried to tell him I only came
for the sparkling glass.
It must have come from the sea
just for me.
For the sea is wise in the way it rolls.
To bring in these sparkling pebbles
just for me.
He replied, well, the mountains and
the hills must be wise to send you
" a human" down from the mountains.
Just for me.
11:30 AM 6/12/ 2015 Friday I wrote this down because of my 8yr old granddaughter. I ask her to tell me a story, She did And I told her this story. She said I should put it on my poetry page. Because they will like it. There is a beach in northern Calif. that sends the polished glass back onto the beach.
Huell Howser did the show for 18 seasons called California's Gold. It was on every Sunday. He passed away Jan 2013, now the show is called Rob ON The Road which also showcases Calif.

Die Kieselsteine
So herrlich glänzend leuchtend
Im klaren Bergbach
Colourful pebbles
So lovely bright and shining
In the mountain creek
Colorido guijarros
Hermoso y brillante y luminosa

My Life, Mountains Dropping Pebbles
My life, mountains dropping pebbles on me
true treasures openly hidden, I couldn't see
Although now that I am wiser, so much older
I thank God each dropped was not a boulder
My youth, a series of epic good and bad
if only, I'd listened and obeyed my Dad
I was the rebel that sought so much more
suffering deeply every wild and big score
Decades flew by with me chasing a mist
grabbing love that never truly did exist
A vapor that glistened golden all around
demanding that in my blindness I be bound
Fate and Time both beat happily my heart
I foolishly thought myself so very smart
Memories now play images to teach mistakes
my speeding on never hitting on the brakes
O' mountain, why not shed that one small boulder
to break sin's passion and sooner set it much colder!
Robert J. Lindley, 09-26-2014
note: Took decades for me to ever see the light
and change my stubborn ways. If that boulder
had tapped me sooner Id have found this current
bliss decades sooner and my wife and I would be
enjoying a grown son instead of raising a 7 year
old at my advanced age..

Isolation from familiarity
Leaves me alone with my thoughts
Leading to insanity
My exterior facade of calm
Illusions of stability and repetition of life
Fear sneaks upon me
I stub my toe walking
This seemingly clear path
In this landscape
I see mountains
Imagine the summit's view
This trail requires faith -- not shoes
I choose to take off my sandals
Better to feel pebbles between my toes
Than to wonder about sensations
This adventure of life
Next time I stroll upon fine sand
I will remember the pebbles
Gratitude fills my heart
Familiarity blankets my being

You gather my words like pockets full of pebbles, so when you need to hurt me, you have them there, ready to throw in my face!

Tender hearts, voiced through strong minds,
Straight shooter's urges,
Pulverizing the pebbles
Carried in dishonest shoes

Vishweshwara, my lord my devotion
I was once born; I think you knew it
I lost something far, not far from my feet
But now it is extreme from my heart
It is my confidence, courage, curiosity
I am missing my poetic ardor
I am lacking my statistic fervor
I am omitting my valor
Once I used to be a victor
Now nighters of it a sector
Once I used to be like me
Now a word branded to be inspiration is stabbing me.
Once my dreams used be as cumbersome as clouds
Daring and baring the heavy heat of sun
But now I am left as one with notions none
There is no hope to cope up with any agile pressure.
But still I will not stop as I am pale
Till the last atom of most popular oxygen I inhale.
The line of attack I toddle may gaze sole
But my emotions are full and whole in its role.

Beneath the land of frothy cloud and azure sky
Earthlings of the most diverse kinds still enthrall
Like summer winds from breezes to monsoons
And all their stony statures like statues stand erect
To remind us humans we are so loathe to change
Like granite stones having formed into planets
Except fewer still that burned in vast eons past
Far above the land of frothy cloud and azure sky
‘Tis well to remember how moves the roaring tide
Shore-to-shore casting pebbles on a barren beach

Blank verse
For hours
her whole world was
hunting for rocks at the
banks of the shallow
narrow river that runs
through the canyon behind
the house.
On her knees,
wrist deep in the
icy current, she
sifts through piles of
polished stones,
searching for the
perfect little pebble.
She slips the pebble
safely in that pointed place
in the pocket of her jeans.
Down the path,
she's conscious of the
precious cargo,
digging her hand down
now and then.
At home,
she reaches in
with her fingers, to
pluck the pebble
from her pocket
and she places it
on a shelf
with the others.
That evening,
stretched under the covers,
tucked and tight, and drifting,
she dreams of
skipping stones.
