Pebbles On a Barren Beach
Beneath the land of frothy cloud and azure sky
Earthlings of the most diverse kinds still enthrall
Like summer winds from breezes to monsoons
And all their stony statures like statues stand erect
To remind us humans we are so loathe to change
Like granite stones having formed into planets
Except fewer still that burned in vast eons past
Far above the land of frothy cloud and azure sky
‘Tis well to remember how moves the roaring tide
Shore-to-shore casting pebbles on a barren beach
