This one conjures up a lovely picture, Gert. And it looks so beautiful written in German! So sad about Helga and her whole family. The theatre, where I work, recently staged a play about Anne Frank - very moving indeed. I suppose that, rightly or wrongly, Anne Frank has come to represent all the victims for many of us. It was very touching to hear of an individual like Helga. Have a great day : ) Jack

What an image, Gert. I would love to see the pebbles sparkling in the creek. Exquisite poem, my friend. People used to leave old bottles on the beach in NJ. As they broke apart and were brushed and polished by the ocean, they looked like the "colorful pebbles" you describe so well here. Hope your arm is healing, my friend. Love, Carolyn
