OLD PEBBLES

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
things smoothed by time's insistent hand
riverbed’s old stones understand

pebbles smoothed by ancient waves
edges soft like lost secrets
resting where water left them~
polished persistence
