I know your deepest fear, what you dread the most,
Still, your own desire you're preserving as a ghost.
You're guided by your arrogance; on your ego you rely.
Haven't you ever heard, the ego's known to lie?

You play your silly mind games; you think you are so smart,
But all this will ever get you is a sad and lonely heart.
You paint yourself untrustworthy with the antics that you pull.
No one can take you seriously when you're just a load of bull.

You think you are invincible and well above reproach,
But one as flawless as you, no one will dare approach!
You pride yourself with cleverness, while appearing stupid.
With so many attractive traits, there is no need for Cupid!

With all your flawlessness, you need not ever apologise.
One as perfect as you are, you're the apple of many eyes!
But how has this worked for you on that pedestal you sit?
Apparently not too well but you will never to, admit.

The years are flying by and the time is drawing near.
Sooner than you think, you'll have to face the fear
That you dread so much without another chance
To change your course of action and so, your circumstance.

Soon you shall be old and you will be all alone
With not one soul to Love you, except perhaps a crone
To make your life as miserable as you have to others, done;
To reap your Just Rewards, trapped in the web you have spun.

There was once a young man from LaSalle,
Who quite loved to fall back in the fall.
But the spring's jump ahead
Found him lying abed
An hour late for his job at the mall.

His boss said, "Being late will not do.
Falling back means one springs ahead too.
We will show you the gate
If you come to work late.
Early bed is the right way for you."

There once was a well known professor
who married our town's tax assessor...
His outrageous affair
with his student au'pair
Would upset his wife, and distress her!

He begged for forgiveness and got it
He even thought she had forgot it!
She never did scold,
but he thought she was cold,
while pulling his name for an audit !!

Payback

Never felt I’d get to be that guy
Who hurts a girl so much she cries
Never thought I’d be that guy
Who denies and tells so many lies
Never ever knew it would come to this
Cause I’ve always despised that guy
That guy who plays a girl for the fool
So much that she can’t forget his name
That guy a girl wished she never met
Cause he played her heart like a video game
That guy who works so hard to get the girl
Then lets her go
That guy who loves to put a girl in the spotlight
Just to steal the show
That guy who doesn’t care
If she gets hurt as he leaves his trademark
That guy who breaks a girls heart
And leaves her all alone in the dark
That guy who doesn’t apologise
Cause a one night stand was all part of the plan
That guy they all call a player

Thought she was my happy ever after
Thought we were meant to be
Thought she was my love & life full of laughter
Thought she belonged to me
Thought to introduce her to my mother
But she never crossed that line
Thought we we’re more than friends
But she never felt the same
Thought I knew her more than anything
But she was just playing target practice
With my emotions
She wrapped me round her beautiful corruption
And fed me the sweet taste of her forbidden fruit
She played the melody of the devil
And I danced to the rhythm of the music
She tore me up to shreds
And brought me back down to earth
She reminded me of my old ways
And the games I played back in the days
She reminded me about karma
And showed me what payback feels like
She reminded me that two can play the game

Payback, Discretion Is Advised

When the night is at its blackest and
the moon sneaks behind the clouds,
and the owls began to call, you know
there is no place to hide.

When your brain begins to ponder, certain
things that you have done, and your heart
begins to flutter; while your skin starts growing
bumps, you know that he is near.

Hiding under sheets and blankets, and leaving
all the lights on, and locking all the doors and
windows, will not conceal your fears; for
he knows what you have done.

You try to call someone, but your mobil phone just
won’t turn on, and the gun you hid under your
pillow somehow isn’t there. A cool and pleasant
breeze enters, through a broken window pane.

Will he use a gun or knife you wonder, or will he
put his strong hands round my neck? Perhaps he’ll
use a wooden bat. How did he ever find me after over
twenty years?

Guess I’ll just pretend to be asleep, and hope he doesn’t
make me suffer, like what I did to her.

The Payback

I'm coming back
faster than a heart attack.
This is your only warning
I'll be there in the morning.
Your about to bear
the word,
unfair.
Don't be slow
or I'll make shore,
all of your babies don't grow,
catching my flow.
I will make it rain
the definition of the word, pain
all over this group
I'll make it continue in a loop.
Over and over
I'll make sure,
that every evil drop
will never stop.
I'm the pride
that comes from suicide.
You killed me
now I will kill thee.
watch out
your about to be
sold out.
Covered in red
I'm back from the dead
and I'm going to put a bullet in your heads.

Payback

Why do I give a fck that
Its your birthday
Why do I give a fck
When I’m worth way
More than this torture
Cause I counted 245 days
Since I felt your lips
Add 37 more and that’s the day
You put all these rips
Yet I still want to take
Devil flower nectar sips
Even after you slit my wrists
I still care that you think I’m fine
And that my poetic lines
Can still blow your mind
So I’ll write you a verse
I’ll conjure up some random magical curse
Void of feeling to manipulate
Your feelings speed up your heart
Then snatch the ladder up from under-
Neath your heart make you fall again
Build a wall just to stain
With your emotional pain
Make you really learn to hate
The meanings of fate
Crossing from love to hate
I’ll break these fcking
Gates built to keep me out
I’ll kick your soul in
And shout
Look what I did
Yes it’s me the one you hid
From and did some
Thing forgettable
Who cares what it was
But it’ll be regrettable
Cause regrets make us human
Love makes us not human
So I’ll make you regret
That you love me
Just for payback

blood oranges oscillate
within plundered peels

squeezed out surreptitiously
bleeding on her heels

clicking brutish jaws
on paper thin walls

the pied piper grins
with greenback gall

HOWEVER...heaven insists,
maligned orange restitution

purification of every last drop.
shark lust sees only the dark

heel-harpoons of every female
stab his comeuppance heart.

Cosmic Payback

Haven't heard from my daughter
in many moons
But I don't interfere in none of that
My parents didn't interfere
in my life
Looks to me like a cosmic payback

I refuse to spend my time
worrying about her
Because I raised her to be
independent that way
She has a self-sufficient nature,
she has a non-inclusive regard
Other people she don't depend on,
she'll do things her way, right or wrong

Haven't seen sight of my daughter
in many sun risings
But I don't interfere in none of that
I'm cashing in on all my labor,
I'm receiving a big cosmic paycheck

Premium Member Tread Lightly On My Wounded Soul - a Repost

Tread lightly on my badly wounded soul
Lest it return in spectral manner borne,
Time will atone for the happiness you stole.

Ponder the ways you can make it whole
The one you purposely caused to mourn
Tread lightly on my badly wounded soul.

All deeds are written on memory’s scroll
Some like the rose; some like the thorn
Time will atone for the happiness you stole.

Do not consider your bullying a mere stroll
In your wilted gardens of sarcasm and scorn
Tread lightly on my badly wounded soul.

Your hurtful ways will surely take a toll
For eternal recompense has been sworn
Time will atone for the happiness you stole.

You will experience payback, like the troll,
Who thrives on bullying, I must forewarn,
Tread lightly on my badly wounded soul,
Time will atone for the happiness you stole.

Payback City

Payback City
                                         By David Lustrup 2011

Woe unto you who sit in high places
With smug and arrogant looks on your faces
The powers that be,---- they see you do it
The slaves back that bleeds when you put the whip to it.

In comfort you sit, day after day, scorning those who hope and pray.
You’d stab us all if you could, not one would be saved
Then you’d drive home to your mansion on the roads that we paved.

Your life is a cesspool of lofty self love
You think you’re superior
Sent from above
But I know the truth and im not afraid to blare it
You call me insulting but I say
If the shoe fits…
wear it

Woe unto you who have all the wealth
Soon you will lose it when death comes in stealth
And pulls the very life that you so desire
Right out of your chest and consumes you with fire

For that is the day that justice will reign
And youll get a taste of your dished out pain
And YOULL know what its like to get no pity
As YOU pave the roads in hells’ payback city…..
