Cosmic Payback
Haven't heard from my daughter
in many moons
But I don't interfere in none of that
My parents didn't interfere
in my life
Looks to me like a cosmic payback
I refuse to spend my time
worrying about her
Because I raised her to be
independent that way
She has a self-sufficient nature,
she has a non-inclusive regard
Other people she don't depend on,
she'll do things her way, right or wrong
Haven't seen sight of my daughter
in many sun risings
But I don't interfere in none of that
I'm cashing in on all my labor,
I'm receiving a big cosmic paycheck
