The Package

This is a tiny prayer.
Do not let the size of it,
Belittle its importance.
The miracle is often in the details.
It has been prayed on your behalf.
There is no expiration.
You don't have to do...anything.
It is a gift.
In Jesus name,
Amen.

Premium Member A Package From Amazon

getting old
sitting on my rocker
waiting for mail

a package
from Amazon
with my first fast elder walker with seat

they say that this fast elder walker with seat
could last
up to ten years to the day

I do pray
that this walker
is not my last

and that it and I
don’t go too fast

The Perfect Package

My body

But of course

Premium Member On the Fancy Package It Came In

on the fancy package
it came in
it did not say
that smoking this
might be bad for your health --

So
in a dark corner of the room
I lit up my iPhone
smoked it
and felt
satisfied.

Care Package

A stomach virus laid me out,
My husband down as well
And then we were surprised to hear
Somebody ring the bell.

Two bags delivered to our door
With Gatorade and soup,
Saltines and even Alka-Seltzer,
Quite a sickbed group.

Our son arranged to save the day
With Amazon – the Prime –
To help recuperation
And give fodder for my rhyme!

Premium Member Tuff Stuff

I'd got out the hammer, the hatchet and pliers
To attack the package of plastic and wires.
But the fix was so tricky,
     The stickum so sticky,
I'd not even scratched it when I set it on fire!

VALENTINE PACKAGE

Plea.

in this deep freeze, dear
this cold region – michigan
i must make it clear
limbs are frozen all the time
please melt the ice, valentine

Forever Yours – plus that old time candy

i’m yours forever
struck with love like a dumb ox
cannot be clever
no sweet candy in a box
can top my love forever

Lost Valentine

the wind is howling
rain pings against my window
i’m feeling so low
part the clouds dear valentine
let in your ray of sunshine

Jesus, Our Stimulus Package

a constanza

When justice suffers miscarriage,
and government’s way out of scope,
One judge stands firm - Jesus, our hope.

Christ speaks with clear, simple language.
In mercy and truth, without flaw,
“I have come to fulfill God’s law.”

One policy shapes His salvage.
His righteousness consists thereof –
His blood for our sin - perfect love.

In Him we gain right of passage,
but redemption wants repentance;
Christ’s mandate - complete allegiance.

Jesus, our stimulus package.
Stir us, Worthy Lamb who was slain
Desire of Nations, come and reign

the monorhymed stanza

When justice suffers miscarriage,
Christ speaks with clear, simple language.
One policy shapes His salvage.
In Him we gain right of passage,
Jesus, our stimulus package.

Lost Package Lament

On my way to Pleasant Grove
I found myself in Lehi
I feel so lost and all alone
And no one here can find me

I left last month from Dallas town
A gift for poems borrowed
I'm sitting in a real dark place
'cause no one here can find me

A second gift is sent this week
Replacement 'cause I'm tardy
I was the first and now I'm not
I wish that they could find me

I hope the next won't share my fate
Of sitting here in Lehi
I hope he'll got to Pleasant Grove
I don't want him to find me

Premium Member Dear Santa, I Want a Package of Two

Dear Santa, this is what I want this Christmas
A Papa with or without a long mustache
With a Mama, either short, tall, slim or fat
Who can carry me for I’ve grown enough.
I’ve been in this orphanage for ten years
I’ve many toys from you, I’ve physical disabilities
Dear Santa, please deliver me a package of two
With reindeer on sledge where I can ride on, too.

Dec. 25, 2017 11.05 am

A poem lovingly dedicated to all children in the orphanage for this Christmas Season, and to warmly greet you all:

The Package

The package lay against the ground
Earthy in tones, neutral nothing to be desired
Hundreds walked by without as much as a glance
Until one slim muscular young man took notice
His creamy chocolate eyes could not look away from this simple package

Vanilla crème filled doughnuts were always his simple joy
Today his tender care brought a spark to this earthy package
The inside of the package was hidden behind a modest front
His love nurtured the inner spirit until....
A grand transformation produced his lovely vision.

Pre-Priced Package

See that shiny package, on the upper row
Its base cardboard shelf mate, is not the way to go
There must be embossed letters, of metallic sheen
And it must be shrink wrapped, so it's always clean

Add a few more staples, and a cute twist tie
You know it should be fancy, if I'm going to buy
Prominent the brand name, in colors no less than eight
The text it must be fancy, never print it straight

Don't forget the bar code, or the warranty card
Packed in lots of peanuts, in case if it gets jarred
To deter the wayward, affix a radio tag
Then place your corporate logo, on the check out bag

Beware the competition, don't be such a slouch
For reuse they have added, a see through zipper pouch
Please sprinkle on some glitter, for a final touch
And get a catchy jingle, to make me pay that much

It's a pre-priced package, and we'll buy it in a snap
It's a pre-priced package, and we'll keep coming back
It's a pre-priced package, and we'll buy it in a snap
It's a pre-priced package, and we'll keep coming back

All In One Package

Hearing the news of 9/11 again...and it makes me look back at that destructive day
I remember it slightly...it's a sheer memory in my mind, but at least it's sunny today
Reading signs all around me and feeling at ease for a while
Taking a trip in a truck full of food items and I'm clearing up my boredom pile

Pre-ch: Oooh oooh oooh what is this feeling I feel?
My heart is made of the finest steel
These wounds I bear are about to heal
Hours pass me by and I haven't wasted much of it - even if I did, it's no big deal

Ch: I'm fulfilling success and failure all in one package
Pushing my way out...rummaging out of the wreckage
Now I'm approaching the lane of positivity and negativity
I'm playing the role of a hard worker, carrying responsibility
On my shoulders...there's a huge load on my shoulders
The future is knocking on the door of my cranium and the past neighbors of nostalgic restlessness blurs
I'm holding on to the last ounce of optimism
I am the sand of the sea and you're the precious prism

Stacking boxes upon boxes upon boxes...and watching the shipping man stack boxes upon boxes upon boxes
Volunteering is something I should always be willing to do when I am facing my lonely states
The truck is zipping through the street, making a whole lot of movement but I don't mind at all - as long as we make progress
Fearing the worst is something I shouldn't do, but motivation and hope are one of my most prized traits

Pre-ch
Ch

Blissful silence and guiltless essence are wrapped all in one package...they are the vigilant moons and brilliant suns
Break the eggshells of immense shame and throw all your worries down the drain
Refrain from driving me insane, expired guilt that overflows from a truck load of milk cartons
Why do I suddenly feel calmness and gratefulness at this present time? For once, I feel sane

Pre-ch
Ch
Ch

Honestly, my life has produced its lows and highs
Oh joy, how time flies by and bugs me like flies
That hover all around me like the advertisements of the city streets
Coping with the corruptions and temptations that try to get me hooked on sweets
I have planted myself on the front seat of the truck, feeling like I can relate to the products that are in back of us
We are both all in one package - isn't everyone somewhat in the same rowdy bus? I will work a sweat and not fuss
