Line of inquiry:
"betwixt the pulse of our heartbeat
simply present, head-heart linking
dwelling in time stretched blissful peace
awareness became unblinking" Unseeking Seeker

He was a charming chameleon, saying all the right things
in that beguiling masculine timbre of his sultry voice.
Allure in his hazel eyes promised things my heart hadn't felt,
but it ignored my head's warning until I had no choice.

A niggling of worry continued to swirl through my mind
that something was wrong. Something I couldn't quite define.
He had shortcomings but to all of them my heart was blind.
I desperately tried but reasoning couldn't keep my heart in line.

Much is written about the rebellion of a treacherous heart,
and how it rhythmically pulses with the need for passion's fire.
It's been the cause of many sleepless nights when I'm fraught
knowing I cannot extinguish my heart of its burning desire.

It has always wanted what it wanted and wouldn't be denied.
It's always managed to overrule what my mind was thinking...
until it'd been crushed and broken, and only then did it confide
that it should've paid more heed to my head and heart linking.

Hearts can be guilty of transgressions. Mine was by betraying me.
Then it had to pay the steepest price that infatuation could ask.
From the grasp of lustfulness, my heart was able to break free.
Balancing the volition between mind and heart is not an easy task.

I've been walking down this road alone
Searching for a way to get back home
but each brick releases pensive memories
until they've blurred in a shade of monochrome

Maybe I was a coward for deciding to leave
Trepidation became fear so I walked away
but some say it took the courage of a lion
to leave him standing in the door that day

If I'd been bastioned in an armored suit of tin
my tears would have encrusted me in rust
To a heart that can't stop crying over lost love
it's too daunting a task to believe again in trust

How foolish I was, to rely upon a naive heart
for allowing me to drown in a deluge of rain
There's no hiding beneath a haystack of straw
It was inane to let my heart overrule my brain

No wizard's words spoken from behind a curtain
will guide me since love came disguised as a thief
No magic wand waved will help me find my way
Only time has the power to allay such grief

Premium Member Yesterday's Mistake

Finding forgiveness for foolish fights:
my heart tends to overrule my head.
And even though I should know better,
I want to believe every word said.

You swear you'll never hurt me again;
begging me to please unlock my door.
And then you plead for just one more chance,
like you have so many times before.

You'll try to convince me that you've changed:
and in your heart, you care how I feel.
But, although my heart wants to believe:
many painful wounds refuse to heal.

Memories of lies and betrayal
still haunt the outer fringes of hope.
And fueling fragmented feelings;
I am not so sure my heart can cope.

I want to forgive, but can't forget:
some things, even time can't erase.
And when I feel silent screams surface;
fantasies and nightmares interlace.

I'm scared of taking you back, again:
it's such a difficult choice to make.
Do I bet on a new tomorrow
or gamble on yesterday's mistake?

You Are More Than What Eyes Can See

You are not what they think of you,
Your heart doesn't change when your hair gets hue.

You are not the fashion trend you follow,
You are above perceptions which are hollow.

Your bright lipstick is just an accessory,
It shouldn't change due to sarcasm or decree.

Your tone shouldn't overrule your statement,
Your no is denial and your yes is the agreement.

Your smile is mere happiness, not a proposal,
Your stands in an argument are views, they don't make you unfilial.

Your body is a sheath for your soul,
You must never accept judgements for a part or the whole.

For, you are precious and a blessing on the earth,
Nobody can do your job and can ever fill your dearth.

Winter

Wisdom, at once held high and rarely found,
is now "found" in snow scattered forms.
These ember months cast frost ground
images of philosophy, while so often does the air transform,
and time tucks beneath a place pretending to be warm.

And through the window glass are seas of kingly deed -
of judgments justified by sovereign overrule.
Is such the way of thanking God for this white-seed
after reap. At last, before a burning yule
we pontificate on the wisely right, and the rightly fool.

Premium Member Fool Me Once

You fool me once...
your shame I'll overrule.
A second time...
and I become the fool.
But not for long,
for you will learn my rule
as I reveal
your hidden side of cruel,
and label you
with ethics deemed uncool
to be the butt
of major ridicule.

They Will Be Cruel

They will be cruel
They think they overrule
Over every girl and boy
And try to control them like a type of puppet or toy

Some think that’s cool
To use your emotions as a tool
To get in your head
And make you cry as it is said

But don’t let them get to you
Because if you do
You will fall into the trap that they have set
And there will you go along with your self esteem that you have tried so hard to get

So just ignore them they are nothing at all
They are nothing so don’t let them make you fall

To My Street Soldiers

TO MY STREET SOLDIERS
                                                  by BambiLynn'14

Sometimes in the game you get too deep
Losing sight of what's real-to lose or to keep
It's not you or sons legacy nor your life
The original intent was to feed you, your kid, and your wife
But perspective gets skewed-reality changed
What you do became you the longer you banged
All money ain't good money mentality was lost
Your wife took your kid and soon after was tossed
Good intention and real love is now bitter with hate
Wheres your soul now at the judgement gate?
Your sons coming up and right behind you
This story in the ghetto is nothing new
I'm putting my words out exactly for this
Don't be that statistic, it's you and yours that you diss
Just play the game-don't let it play you
It is what it is, don't live it too
All that hustling and juggling steady on your grind
Risking life and freedom if you get time
Dedication and work ethic are already there
Don't shoot yourself down-get on a square
Dirty money, trifling women and all that comes fast
Shouldn't overrule you cuz none of it will last
Unless it's for pure survival it's not worth the cost
Of your family, yourself, your soul will be lost
Take all the same long hours, hard work, and tough will and fight
Using learned skillz from that, tough deals, work ethic to do what's right
Don't underestimate all that or you who is stronger than most
When taking that legit will make others toast
Stop fighting each other~or yourself most of all
Be true to you, define yourself, own your **** to stand proud and tall.

Premium Member Negativity

When you think negative,
         skepticism
  abounds with venom.
    Your delusion and
       contradiction
    feed the shame.

  When you let hostility
       overrule your
         individuality,
       you diverge into
a negative transparency,
      an illusion of life.

    Negativism flourishes,
              enriched
by the removal of the positive,
        the rejected image
        needed to redeem
          your humanity.

    Lack of the positive
   creates the isolation,
        the liability of
  the ‘cause and effect’
         triggered by
          negativity.

Pride and Honor

We fight for our lives,
We fight for our freedom.
We live for pride,
We live for honor.
What is our lives without freedom?
Some think it is not worth living if one cannot obtain freedom.
Others would disagree and praise the hand that feeds them,
Even if that which they praise is a monster.... just to live and breath...
Squeeze out of life all they can... no use of pride or honor.
For what is pride and honor really worth? Death?
I would think not, for life is more powerful the death.
But why choose life if pride has vanished and honor ceases to exist?
Ones reason for pride has changed over the years.
Once it was that of a good man with a pure soul who could be proud and deserved honor,
But now... now... it is beauty and wealth that lead us to have pride in ourselves...
So shallow, no depth...
Surface looks, when did they overrule the pure complete honesty we should all live by?
But we are lost... what is the way back? Is there a way back?
Do we even care enough to look for a way back?
Or better yet, if we did look and find a way back what would we find?
Perhaps we would discover that the meaning of pride and honor has been forever corupt,
And the only way out is to turn and look forward... for we cannot change the past,
We can learn from and use our knowledge of it to help mold that which is to be our future.
A future of continuing freedom.
A pathway to Peace.

Cool

He was super cool, would break all the rules, said the heck with school, stubborn as a mule, was labeled a fool.

Life became cruel he tried to use some tool's but his learning was minuscule, found his self in a cesspool.

But he didn't let it overrule, he went back to school learned the golden rule, came out of that cesspool and found, he's a true Jewel.

Life is like a giant pool, sometimes you'll run into. A whirlpool which is why you'll need the right fuel.

But what you definitely can't do is drool while sitting on a stool, being scared of the pool.

                                    Stay In School

Premium Member Travelling the Kings Highway

Now been following my Lord Jesus 34 years
this trail has been truly so incredibly full
with many ups and downs along the way
but His faithfulness always there to overrule

Jesus is my king friend saviour and Lord
being with me every moment of this pathway
His peace abides within my heart
throughout each and every living day

When I awake on every new morn
this Christ saviour is always there
truly when laying down to sleep
each night He’s there showing His care

During the midst of troubles He brings joy
in the good times He keeps me content
always knowing what’s best for me
for His perfect will is truly heavenly sent

So travelling along the kings highway
is such a real privilege and pleasure
for His goodness and mercy is ever sure
as God’s abundant love has no measure

Premium Member To Steal a Soul

The devil rode out, souls were his aim
the purer the better, a young virgin
he hunted high and low, a soul to claim
none were to be found only those with sin

With an evil hiss Satan searched on
his prongs on fire full devilish intent
he cast his net and his aim was dead-on
reeling in his prize with much malcontent

On returning to hell with banshee shriek
he cast the soul into his burning pit
his followers all gave out a big squeak
the poor soul burning agreed to submit

For now but only now does Satan rule
until heavenly angels overrule

Premium Member A Few Lines Straight From My Heart

I'm no legal expert, I'm the first to say
Nor do I live in Israel, though I'm a citizen anyway
But it's hard to watch a proposal tear my country apart
So I'll write a few lines here, straight from my gut and my heart

What if Congress could overrule the US Supreme Court's every decision
It seems a surefire path toward unprecedented division
Imagine Roe vs. Wade subject to Congressional wrangling and supervision
The resultant laws, a recipe for chaos, scorn and derision *

So, that parallels what's been proposed in Israel's judicial revisions **
~ likened to an axe making the finest of incisions

  __________________________________________________________
*With every change of power in Congress, (almost every election these
days), Roe vs. Wade would be revisited and redecided. Heaven help us!

**By a majority vote of Israel's Parliament (Knesset), Israeli Supreme
Court rulings could and would be overturned. (And with each shift in
the ruling majority's composition, a fresh round of overturning could
     and would begin).

Premium Member Global Reset - God Help Us

Global Reset? That may sound grand-
   but many do not understand,
their New World Order is the goal-
a world divided, as a whole.

Two classes only, on the way-
Elites and those who will obey.
      Then equity will be the rule;
equality- they'll overrule.

The total world will be one class-
to follow laws Elites will pass.
      A robot, each of us will be;
controlled- yet told that we are free.

Who are these brash Elites, you ask,
   responsible for this grim task?
Leaders who preach- "for thee- not me"
and each greed-filled monopoly.

No need to use our skills to work-
   Elites will pass another perk
      to make us feel that we're cared for;
to our own choices- close the door.

While people live an aimless life
and made to feel that it is rife-
Elites get richer by the day-
each one of us- a castaway.

Pandemic- used to test their skill-
to keep us bound with no free will.
To date, they've managed very well-
Oh God, please help us break this spell!
