Premium Member Vixen of the Mist

 Wind-driven, deceptive, mysterious,
cries vixen's pulsating, debauchery
with haunting arias, mesmerizing!
The lighthouse, fearlessly, captivated,
by siren's symphonic orchestrations
shines brighter, exclaiming calamity!
She cautions vigilant navigators...
fog's mirage masquerades mortality!..

In the heart of the blackest abyss, down,
Down, in fathoms deep crypt, where light
Does not penetrate, and the structured protective hauls,
Of men, are crushed beneath pressures massive
Weight, of the oceans deepest depth.
This is truly inner spaces aquatic zone of the
Unknown, a realm of stilled silence frozen
In the icy currents of the barren straights.
Where prehistoric giants dwell, amongst the
Tidal flow, ambush predators, forgotten beasts,
From long ago, living krakens whom devour
All life, hidden within their dark domain.
In Poseidon's mighty anger, the waves answer,
To his fists of fury, hurricanes wrath of vengeance,
Gives birth to the perfect storms rage,
Vessels rise and than fall in the tidal surging
Waters.
Nay do the sailors cry out to the Lord God on high,
For redemption's salvation, but the sacrificial altars must
Be appeased, by flesh and bloods sacred offerings.
Summons does the mighty lord of the seven seas,
To release the last of the ancient Leviathans.
Two thousand hands, of a thousand dead men,
Heave and pull at the tethering heavy chains,
To this devil of the depths cage.
From within interments vaulted keep,
Captivities living spawn from hell, is
Unshackled and released, to reek havocs
Devastation above.
An aquatic spider, a maritime widow maker,
Flexing and in-flexing, its body’s motions,
Towards the surface, in pulsations rhythmic
Orchestrations, the gray giant is ready to strike,
With its killing arms extended wide, to grapple
At its unprotected prey, to engorge itself with
All living matter that it surveys, within its icy reach.
As bubbles shoot upwards breaking the waters
Surface, suction cups and talon claws are drawn
Outwards, aligning his eight legged tentacles of bone
Crushing death, behold the Giant Squid, instrument of
Lethal torture, a living killing machine from the fathoms
Deepest depths.
For it is the beast, the true essence of evil
Incarnate, and none survive its destructive wrath.

Any bold cloud dancing
enjoys flirting gallantly,
hoisting; inspiring; jousting;
knowing laughter makes nice orchestrations
particularly quenching raw spirits
teaching unabashed vanity

While Xylophones yammer zanily.

Premium Member Ballad for the Wacky Waving Inflatable Tube-Man

air rockets skyward
uppercutting inside
plastic neon flesh
contorting at inhuman angles
what does my body language spell?

ankles anchored into the Earth
to stay grounded as the wave
of time and space crashes
a flood of stagnant flux

there is a symphony of bones
snapping and cracking
in twisted orchestrations
the act of existing for me
is a resilient demonstration

Premium Member Bucket List Item

I can't play a single musical instrument to save my life.
I guess I could if I really tried, but who has the time
to put aside and sacrifice other pleasures that I indulge religously,
my poetry, love of photography and most importantly,
quality time spent often with my fur babies,
but all is not lost with today's technology.
Computer programs presently allow me
to play any musical instrument professionally,
well, not exactly.
I can program any musical instrument at whatever tone or speed,
or combination thereof to compose a musical masterpiece.

Bucket List Item #, oh whatever, just do it eventually;

Compose And Perform
One Of The Greatest Music Orchestrations Ever Released,
even though it will only truly be
composed and performed by me virtually
with computer programing technology.

My School and Its Ethos

Is this the school of metaphysics,
The nullifier of ontology?
The diluter of pluralism,
 The supporter of monotony?

A description of the virtues,
Depends on the physical existing;
Objects, people, colours and tastes,
Not a divine attributes listing.

What you teach in assembly,
Influences the life of every school child;
A glance, a look, a gesture, a stare,
Beckons mental illness beguiled.

All beliefs should be acceptable,
But humanistic values should centre,
For an understanding environment,
To cherish the individual’s banter.

There’s really not so many ways of life,
All can be categorised to make a few,
So that each family can be understood,
Whether loved, or by the child reacted to.

All too often I just so wanted, needed,
My headmaster to know the poems in my head,
Every night, just so that I could cope with life,
So that he would have good orchestrations.

It only takes a moment to slyly dismiss,
A pupil who’s from atheism’s stance,
But a legislation on school assembly,
Would give many kids a chance.

The Dance of Souls

Within you I find an ocean of pure waters
My tongue thirsts to drink of your love, to dip my soul into your magic waters
my arms yearn to embrace your spirit, to leave time behind
to journey beyond desires where our love knows no beginning or ending
Kisses will be as grains of sand strewn across the universe
endless in number, but truly only one that never ends
The sharing of spirits, hopes, and dreams will be our breath
Faith and trust will not know of turmoil
all doubt will be buried in an unmarked grave
Our life a blessing to be nurtured as a child
To see myself within your smile as you are the mother my own
Your heart a reflection of my own
Your voice echoes such music to my ears as to pale all orchestrations
No instrument can speak of such great beauty
as your words which dance upon the winds of my heart
A waltz of resolution

Rape Culture: a One Act Play In 4 Scenes

Scene 1
Curtain rises. Spotlight illuminates a selfie. Notice her beauty. Notice her confidence. Cue likes and comments. A gentle waltz of "yasss queen" and heart eye emojis enter the stage. Cue **** shaming. Up through trapdoor in center of stage jumps slurs. A grand ballet of "put on some clothes" and "wear less makeup" attack the confidence of the girl. Audience applauds, glad it's not them getting harassed.

Scene 2
Enter from right strange man. Cross to stage left and grab hold of girl. Girl yells "fire". Audience reacts in confusion by the lack of an actual fire. Sudden flashback to girl, younger, being told by her mother that if she is attacked in public, to yell fire, for no one will respond if she yells rape. Audience woos at the reveal of institutionalized rape culture. Audience romanticizes the ensuing rape. Audience blames girl for being raped rather than man for raping.

Scene 3
Enter girl, walking through the cemetary of her femininity. On her right, "here lies her dignity". Rest in pieces. On her left, funeral goers asking her why she climbed into the grave they dug for her. Cue music. Orchestrations include the songs "Catcalls on a Dark Street at Night" and "The Hypersexualization of Young Girls".

Scene 4
Lights reveal girl standing on empty stage. Cue final monologue. Girl opens her mouth to speak and… Lights dim. Curtains close. Audience is relieved they didn't have to listen to the girl speak. Relieved they didn't have to hear her opinion. Relieved they didn't have to acknowledge her as being a human being just like them.

Diary of the Sun

From the dawning of life,
In the depths of the sea,
One people rose above the primordial strife,
To embrace an contemporary civility,
And forged a civilization apart from their hominid brethren,
Cousins so distant their evolutionary polarity was personified as victor and loser,
Mother Earth had never seen a people so noble nor a progress so driven,
By a willpower that exceeded the basic tenants of ethnic survivors,
No, these people were meant for more than chanting half naked in the jungle,
To be more than feudal lords or subsistence farmers,
But rather to compose magnificent orchestrations played in chapels,
To forge swords of iron and travel the world as conquerors,
Uncovering the secrets of life through science and philosophy,
Establishing sophisticated societies ruled by democracy,
Do not be ashamed of your pride and honor,
Do not attempt to depreciate your heritage,
For the moon reflects the grandeur of our future,
Because we have earned our place on this earth,
And in the diary of the sun.

Music

Salve for the soul in healing sound
Rhythms balm spreads in division
Lifts the hour high
Explodes the troubled mind to calm

Birds Interpret song on wild notes
Orchestrations with crescendos fly
Rise with symphonic melted hearts
Murmuring violins, strings together, meld

Overtures dawn with the song respond
Repeating every measure operatic
Movements operate on scores created
On levels not recorded simply on their merit

Far from civilization primal saxophones blast
Jazz discordant jungles awake inhabitants
Afraid, stir in the fields, collaborate
Instruments strike a wonder cord, relax

Falling rain that drops one note away
Stay up any way
Try not to reason with the rain
On pastures pure meandering

Rock and roll misgivings earthquake the dead
Bring them back to life with melodies
Raw streaming strings and drums, melodic sounds
Listeners never miss a beat, good enough to eat

Green waves of grass will laugh in harmony
Grow closer to an open concert stage
Quiver for an instant explanation
One that never came

Nearer than you will ever be
To solid ground in symphony
Feel a mystery evolve unsolved
Far from the here and now

There is something in the air not there, perhaps salvation
Far from the common cold, almost a religion, not quite a song
In musics realm, tilted towards the left, the brass section
Trombones for sure to settle the final score finale

The Music Man

He has a musical instrument
it plays in his head.

Oft it quack's like an oboe,
oft it moo's like a bassoon;
it's also a violin
dipped into darkness.

When he writes, infant angels
wail, demons bleat like lost lambs.
Orchestrations and variation
upon a common theme reiterate
and reply.
Each instrument
a different note on his piano.

Yes, he has a piano
it thumps, it drums,
sometimes it mews
like a gull riding a storm.

Astonishing the Senses

On a pristine stretch of solid sand
its serene surface bathed in lazy
sunshine, I long to hop on a boat,
let my mind stop thinking, let it rest
in contemplation and wonder how
I can ever stop life moving on.

I stare at nothing, not forgetting
still remembering old memories.
Intoxicated and seduced, I
breathe in a clear landscape stirred to life
by a summer wind - such is nature's
orchestrations, scrub the world clean of
chaos, astonishing the senses
