Unattainable

Satisfying founts of passions, a celebration remains unattainable
Like admiring the unreachable, possession remains unattainable.

Carved pains from which to heal, an abiding endeavour
As pleasure of the mind its satisfaction remains unattainable.

Passion and reason within a soul, harmony far to reach
Ever refining a beautiful soul, perfection remains unattainable.

Poetry, language of uncontrollable words, a wonder to uncover
Soaring imagination, the destination remains unattainable.

Beauty, a value of the mind, rainbows of perception
Like truth core, the heart distinction remains unattainable.

Love, that’s Life in motion, the soul rebirth and growth
Occupying all Love chambers, a dimension remains unattainable.

Nature speaks to silent hearts and feeds restful souls
Walking on Nature’s path, the last station remains unattainable.

In the temple of Light, one Besma raises passionate a sight
Abiding in blessedness, her plea of emotion remains attainable.

Premium Member Straight For Gay

Often made to feel you’re less
Should you care any more?
Can you escape the cruelty,
while occupying your own shore?

People remain unbalanced,
by only seeing you one way.
For their minds travel Straight,
they can’t understand Gay!

The world has moved on,
so kiss guys or kiss girls.
Embrace Straight, Gay, Bisexual
or polyamorous with curls.

Yes, it shouldn’t matter,
love happens between the ears.
Yet sadly all some can do
is label others as Queers.

We each have our own needs
all ashamed and sorta broken.
Fearing what others might discover
elemental desires remain unspoken.

Where you place your bits in private
shouldn’t matter to her him or me
Freely embrace your sensual self,
Holding back is insanity.

So pass me a rainbow flag
To celebrate each one of you.
We can all come together
to support the many and the few.

If I have used any of my descriptors in a way that is offensive please let me know. I am in a state of learning.

Premium Member A World of Peace and Love V

Tell me,
My dear friend,
My beloved brother,
My trusted ally,

Till when are we going to let
The autocrats
The dictators
The despots, and
The tyrants govern us?

Till when do we intend to allow these
Barbarous
Vicious
Immoral, and
Unholy glory-seekers rule our lives?

Till when are we going to permit these ignorant monsters,
To imprison,
To torture,
To maim, and
To kill their own people?

Till when are we going to observe these savages;
Attacking,
Occupying,
Enslaving, and
Obliterating smaller nations?

For how many more millennia do we have to witness the devastation of
Humanity because of these morally impotent criminals who
Instill tons of hatred in the hearts and minds of our fellow humans?

Tell me, my friend, my brother, my trusted ally,
Isn't about time to revolt against such malicious rulers?
Against such practices?
Against war?
Against ignorance, and
Against injustice?

Has not the time come to replace these bloodthirsty evil men
With virtuous men?
With men of a loving heart and mind?
With knowledgeable men?
With compassionate men for peace?
With men of wisdom and justice?

Come now, my fellow human,
I wish you would agree with me.
I want you to agree with me.
I beg you to agree with me.
I implore you to agree with me if you, too, wish to see a
Fellowship of men and nations that cares for each other and is:
Kinder,
Nobler, and more
Loving,
Otherwise,
The afflictions of humanity will never end,
Unless, as Plato* has indicated in his Republic**,
The wise and the just would rule the world
Or
Those who rule the world become just and
Wise!

Premium Member Many Coffees Go Cold - Reality Explained

the things you both see
you all see
is merely a continuity safeguard
one of the laws written in to prevent chaos
we can't have multiple lifeforms occupying the same space all seeing and experiencing something different
it just wouldn't work
so we've set impulses to align where and whenever possible
sure as hell easier when you lot are on your own
takes a heap of pressure off the system
that way we suspend everyone else
they're not needed
you don't surely think they're individually living do you
no, just on hold, paused
until you're no longer on your own
then we have our work cut out again
and many coffees go cold

Premium Member This Year

This year I am going to paint the sky.
Use the hands of masters past.
Open to the heavens, Angels will my heart occupy.
Both the day and night, treasures unsurpassed.
This year it is art again - I - an enthusiast.

This year I am going to erase the sky.
Use my hands like masters past.
Open my heart to the Angels, Heaven I will occupy.
Nights and days spent, no treasures unsurpassed.
This year a new art and me an enthusiast.

This year reach beyond the sky,
Use the minds of masters past,
Offer myself to the Angels in Heaven to occupy.
No night or day no treasure unsurpassed.
This year I'll join the Galaxy as an enthusiast.

This year I will soar the sky,
Use the powers of the meek from the past
For they will inherit the Earth and Heaven occupy.
Timeless, eternity mine, power unsurpassed.
This year humility is me - I - an enthusiast.

Stranded

A raging river tenaciously floods
Tannins and silts combine to dark blood

A hut, just fifty metres, occupying their sight
Two men, cold and wearied, stuck for the night

An adventure all planned, lasting a week
In the middle of nowhere with red deer to seek

Twelve-hours of hiking, commencing that day
Now trapped with some refuge a stone throw away.

Cracking of boulders being pushed by the current
Affirming the folly of crossing this torrent.

Necessities shaping a cold camp till the dawn
Just tattered old plastic, to use as an awn.

Soft moss as a bed but soaking from rain
Ferns as a pillow don’t cushion colds pain.

Dark of the evening only adds to the pall
Deaths favoured colour, as rain continues its fall

Shivering endless; bodies fighting the shock
Drops of clouds tears slowed to the tick of a clock.

Moisture still falling, no hope for them now
Prospects were mirrored by the dark of the hour

Subtly the winds whispered breathe in their ear.
Fight.
Rekindling the flames to survive their harsh plight

Packs full of food, swiftly emptied for fuel
Bodies recharged in spite of the cool.

Rain in the dark hours continued to pour
Sounds from the river commenced to fair roar,

First crack of dawn and they got up and away
Wilderness wins this particular day.

*Based on a true story however my companion and I were stuck in the elements
for 2 days and nights. Another river flooded and blocked our exit.*

Whom Would I Listen To

Sometimes when am emotionally strangled
I sit in the corner of my room
and think and blink,
also cry untill my eyes run out of tears..

When I am hurt for any reason..

My..
Mind blabbers:
"May be I shouldn't have attained birth"
Specifically ~"Not as a girl"
Why me?!!!
If only I could be a boy ~
Would be physically strong,
could go out anytime without fear,
absolute freedom,
no security required,
no restrictions,
no molestation,
no labour pains..
sobs ..

Occupying the pause..

My..
Heart consoles:
Stop my dear
Throw away the fear
Freeze the tear
And glow like a fire
Face the obstacles being bold
I know you are strong
Being female you can bear a life within
you unlike a male.
Most of all ..
Gender doesn't seem to be an issue..whence there's strong willpower and confidence in you..!!!
Words are too short to describe your abilities,
talents and skills.
So you are empowered & independent.Be Stable.
Otherwise, I might explode.

Hearing those last words
I quickly grab my pillow
embrace it tight
unlock my might
close my sight
and imagine myself in a graveyard
 I tremble ...oops,
That is not the place am supposed to be at mid-twenties..
I have just begun my life
There's lot more to explore
Long way to go.I sigh..

Placing my hand on my heart
listening to the loud thumps
Promised it saying..
I wouldn't give up nor break down for any reason
hereafter...!!!

"Be you" Never copy and transform into him or her!!
Be grateful to lord who has created You for a purpose.
Listen to your heart at the time of conflict;
It comforts you to handle situations with ease.

Premium Member Aerial Dancers

As butterflies eagerly flutter into view
Our senses unfurl with alluring sights
Engaging while imparting those ornate designs

Under skies azure, they entice, delight
Igniting then occupying thoughts upbeat
then all senses erupt with invitations that ordain spring's ultimate, bright allure

Yet every day invokes thoughts of sweet,
unique, yet amazing things
Enriching then initiating thoughts oh so upbeat

Like aerial dancers entreating with invitations that offer hope
Until they are joined eventually by insect throngs
of many unbelievable colors

As butterflies entice with invigorating dances
outstanding movements under sun's assuring glow
Enraptured by intimate tunes of warblers
upholding melodious appealing flow

Every butterfly imparts beauty
Only monarchs ultimately rule, adorable royalty
Enjoy the inherent beauty of the universe

Parody of Distance

Estranged men caught in their remote dimensionLoving only that, which they can see and touchDigging foxholes to hide their fear of infinityThe concept has always been thereEternity within the hearts of men,yet they can neither see it or feel it naturally,so they clutter their minds, with tangible temporary comfortsOccupying dull imaginations, with darker thoughts of probabilityThe definition of insanity, yet men continue to live and dieChoking on the fruits of their own knowledge, either dissecting humanity with Occam’s razoror pouring double binds upon their own headsbecause seeing is believing, yet belief is the state of mindin which a person thinks something to be the case, with or without there being empirical evidence,so not asking a question, because to them it does not exist, yet with their limited imaginations they have lofty ideas,as energy can neither be created nor destroyedSpending all there of energy on temporal thingsnot considering a simple truth, where will your essence spend eternity

Premium Member A Silent Prayer

Dark, punishing days lie ahead.
Winter has crept up once again and I'm deep
in sad contemplation, saying a silent prayer
for the downtrodden without the creature comforts
I often take for granted, imagining how
              they're muddling through life.

Each time the furious rage of winter roars
        belligerently, wreaking miserable havoc,
and it's chill on my skin is immediate
and unforgiving; I think of those occupying
            ramshackle dwellings with no heat
to keep warm, and say a silent prayer.

Especially on my mind, all the homeless folks
I've given money to while stopped at a traffic light.
"You've made my day, sir. God bless you!,"
I remember one once saying to me.
Where is this man now? Somewhere warm and safe?
Please, God, hear my silent prayer for him!

                     The mere thought of one,
just one stray animal, fending for itself out in the cold
is depressing enough to make me misty-eyed.
Why is life during winter so appallingly savage?
It's too harsh an element for such a poor creature. I say
a silent prayer for God's mercy. It's really all I can do.

Around the Corner

Present turbulence
Occupying the skies
Like a madman's insolence
In pursuing his demise
Until his madness is silenced.

Electric atmosphere
Burdened by constant charges
Desperately seeking release
But peace remains at large
For our fears have yet to cease.

The heavens overcome by strife
Incurred by a low pressure
Keeping our spirits in restless plight
Thinking there is no answer
But the constant echo of repeating trials.

However around the corner
The sky will clear once again
For the sun once more will conquer
After the clouds have reached their aim
And discharge their load in showers.

Knowing such constance
Allows the heart not to fail
Under the pressure of turbulence
For strong its beating remains
Faith the key to its endurance.

A better atmosphere
Is always around the corner
Our fears come to cease
Unless we lose sight of the future
The time of peace will come to be.

It's No Sin

It sneaks in
Very quietly,
And you see
Before you know it
Bit by bit
It’s there
Inside you,
Coursing everywhere
But then
You refuse to believe
You’ve fallen
Initially you tell yourself
‘No way, Man’
Despite
Apparent changes
That feeling of bliss
More smiles
Laughs more often
The egoistic you
Now softens
That wonderful emotion
Occupying your
Heart and mind
Stern once
Now so gentle
And kind
There are sly comments
Direct queries
Vehemently denied
“Nothing like that,
No please!”
After some time
Denials cease.
It is then
You understand
-Love-
That amazing feeling,
So sweet a thing
You are immersed in.
Go ahead
And accept it.
After all,
It’s no sin.

Premium Member Battle Of The Hemispheres

and a switch flicks
who are you he asks
it should be me
asking who are you
until the switch
flicks back to . . .

fuddled hours
gone are the simplest things
a crayon in a box of pens
then that switch
and it’s who are you
I want to go home

but in truth
it’s who are you
as now a foreign clarity of sorts
no more mumbling incoherence
no shuffling walk
now it’s clear, sure

and behold
a different person emerges
occupying my father
secretly all this time
now stepping out
through the non-dominance

and slowly
becoming the dominant part
a battle of the hemispheres
   dementia – an uprising
   of hidden people
   from somewhere ago

Premium Member She Is Chiclet Perfection

There is nothing better than seeing that smile!
Her crinkled nose and effortless style
             Chiclet perfect and care free
                   The best way to be
                           Angelic
                              She
                       With her clique
                  They just walk by me
It appears I'm hard to see
Still I choose to stick around a while
There is nothing better than seeing that smile!

Premium Member Up There, With the Kites

We met for poetry, found a lively group
occupying our space; Herculaneum
High School Reunion Committee.

They introduced themselves,
offered to move. "No," we said.
"We can use the other end of the room."

Distracted by their excited chatter,
we asked, "What year did you graduate?
1961 . . . your 50th reunion . . . wow."

"You're too young for this," she said.
"No, I graduated in 1953," I said.

"1953! Hey, she graduated in 1953,"
she said. They were astonished.

"Impossible!"

"No Way!"

"Unbelievable!"

"You graduated when you were five?"

I thanked them and moved on
to the poetry meeting, floating on air.
