Premium Member Not Now I Am Too Busy

The world is what we make it, so let’s make it grand and gold, and glorious.
The universe smiles upon those who send it love, so let’s do that.
My own sweet soul is whispering stuff, but do I listen?
Not now, I say. I am busy.

Too busy to listen to my own soul?
Too busy to help the world become its best self?
Too busy to stand up and cheer loudly for what is right? Even if there are only two of us?
Too busy to listen to my own children?

The universe is loving me, and do I even feel it?
Or am I so self-involved that I do not even feel myself?
Your heart is here for a reason, to guide you.
To let you know when something is wrong.

Something that needs changed.
Something that is taking away from your soul-dream.
Something that is hurting the universe, or the world or you.
Where are the listeners?

I need one.

Garlands draped and strung.
White creeper blossoms
 reminiscent of snow
penta-hedron, vase shaped,
 single bells. Five sepal-ed,
 finial, fillistered,
 flower bowls.
Such delicate geometry
 predestined from a seed

Destiny, fate and duty
will always mock one another.
Power struggles between courage
and cowardice, rest in the lap of higher powers.
Increments, irrelevant to atoms.

All that will unfold
is manifest in flowers.

Dad was lounging in his chair, the football game had just begun.
Beside him with his baseball, glove and bat, stood his little son.
"Daddy, will you come outside and play some catch with me?"
"Not now, son, I want to watch the game, please let me be!"

"Daddy, will you take me fishing, it's such a pretty day,
And maybe we can have a picnic, if that would be okay!"
"Not now, son, find some friends and run along and play.
I'm scheduled to play a round of golf with my pals today!"

'Neath the tree Santa had left a beautiful, sporty Schwinn.
The lad was anxious to show it off and take it for a spin.
"Daddy, can you teach me to ride? It won't take you very long."
"Not now, son, maybe your Mother can, now please run along!"

On a winter's morn the ground sparkled with newly fallen snow.
The little fellow's heart beat faster, his face was all aglow.
"Daddy! Daddy! Will you take me sledding on my Flexible Flyer?"
"Not now, son, I want to read the paper and stay by the fire!"

Swiftly passed the years, the boy now had a family of his own.
He lived far away - his aged father called him on the phone.
"Son, please come to visit me, I'm so lonely and all alone!"
"Not now, Dad, I'm enjoying my son - a trip I must postpone!"

If Not Now, Then When

You were here for me, but then you left.
Took my heart and it was theft.
You promised me that you would love me forever.
I wish I was clever enough to not go down that road, ever.
You were the only one I trusted.
But now I am disgusted. You were my best friend; my only friend.
Pretending like nothing happened. Pretend.
All I need is someone to love me.
Now you are free.
I hope you're loving to your full potential.
Being happy is all that's essential.
I am heartbroken.
Your words will never be outspoken.
I will have to live with the pain.
Then I won't have anyone to blame.
Thank you for teaching me a lesson, I will never forget.
Now I have a better mindset.

Not Now

NOT NOW

NOT NOW, NOT AT THE MOMENT, AND UNFORTUNATELY NOT TODAY
THOSE ARE HARSH WORDS I MUST ADMIT BUT
THE ONLY THING THAT IS WASTED IS TIME BUT MOSTLY BY USING IT UNFRUITFULLY AND UNFAITHFULLY SO
THE USE OF THESE WORDS SEEM HARSH, RUDE AND VERY UNPOLITE
AND MOST GOT SUCCESSFULL TRHOUGH THEM
SOME GOT POWERFUL THROUGH THEM
SOME GOT MILLIONS USING THEM
SOME GOT BILLIONS USING THEM AND
SOME GOT NOTHING OUT OF THEM
IS IT NOT ABOUT THE WAY WE USE OUR TIME?
WHAT ARE WE SURELY AFRAID OF
BECAUSE THEY ARE JUST MERELY WORDS AND OBVIOUSLY DONT BITE
WHAT ARE WE SURELY SCARED OF?
WHAT IS IT THAT CAN SURELY BE WASTED UNLESS OUR PRECIOUS TIME
SHOULD WE NOT SACRIFICE A BIT OF OUR TIMES THINKING AND DOING POSITVE
EITHER THAT JUST NOT BEING ABLE TO DIFFERENCIATE
TIME IS MONEY, EFFORT AND LIFE NOW WHY MISUSE IT
WHY LET IT FAIL US?
WHY LET IT OVERPOWER US?
NOT NOW....
NOT NOW...
THEY STILL SOUND AND SEEM RUDE TO THOSE WHOM EVENTUALLY
DONT KNOW HOW TO CATEGORISE THEIR DIFFERENT TIMES
NOT NOW....
NOT NOW....
DO THEY STILL SOUND HARSH?
I BET ITS TIME WE INTROSPECTED OURSELVES AND
WHAT WE TRULY WANT IN OUR LIFES
I STILL INSIST ON SAYING
NOT NOW... NOT NOW

I Would, But Not Now

I would, but not now
My teeth sinking slowly into my tongue so I don’t scream at the baby
Milk all over the table, papers, dripping down onto the chair
I could, but I won’t

Screaming into the pillow until needles prick at my throat
My nap interrupted feels like heroine being snatched away from an addict that is
ready to shoot up
Blood rushing through my veins and pulsing behind my eyes, pressure building
Needy child hands pulling at my last shreds of sanity
I can’t, but I do anyway

Where is it for God’s sake, I just put it down? The phone is ringing again, and
again
Warm hands in the dark test the waters of my failed libido
I can’t, but wish I could

Why don’t you get a part-time job, take some classes, join a group, start an
exercise routine?
Swirling murky thoughts just out of reach inside my corpse of a head
I would, but not now.

Tremble Not Now

Tremble not now
As thy world takes a turn
As thunderstorms rage
And dark clouds emerge
Tremble not now
Whilst your foundations may shake
As the rock you were stood on
Crumbles and breaks
Tremble not now
Whilst all around seems quite mad
As friends quick disperse
Life bleak and so sad
Tremble not now
When strife disrupts the calm
As Shadows grow fierce
In a place filled with harm
No, tremble not now
Hold you head up high and smile
For what does not break you
Makes you stronger my child

Not Now You Idiot''

every so often i'll come across my boyfrriend playing on the internet or writeing on
it in e_mail. i'll fine myself gripped by jeoulesy or a sudden almost furious urge to
cherish and protect him. a look that could kill cause i'm so nosey for him.
in his eye's tell me he's off for a while so ,he finely say's goodbye.
he's just such a guy that melt's my heart even after 2 year's has past we still
found us here together,so i'll shake him up alittle while, or sneak up on him now
and than only to be swatted away to wait on him enougher day,
leave me along'' he'll say , but i love you . great go go think about it some more
he'll say learn to trust a little more. than other time's the situation turn's and he
suddenly cant live without me. but i guess that's how love is when your crazy
about someone .

life
barely a
spark
in
time
flashed past
brief memories
soon forgotten
promises made
to ourselves
loves
the world
still unfilled
new year’s
resolutions
barely edited
from year to year
promises
that take
a moment
to make
a lifetime
to honour
as the
inevitable
end
at accelerating
pace
draws
to a slow or
painful
abrupt
cessation
promises?
if not
now,
when?

Not Now

For long we have sailed in the river of sadness
When and how questions caressing the lips
The nostrils sniffing the odor of violence

Like a country in which average age is deceased
We waited for the day this will be abolished
Smoke of restless wailing to heavens
We wished but to see it end

Beauty too rich
Now nothing but like a withered flower
Face panel beaten with his merciless blows

What wrong did she do?
From where is the anger to punish innocent souls?
With the libido that consider no compatibility

Then yes but not now
Our young girls and women need peace
We now say no to gender based violence

Let tears of joy erode wrinkles off our sad faces
Out of the jungle of fear into the world of hope
A world quarried with women empowerment
Coated in the gold coat of girl education improvement

Not Now Girl

Low, low, low
I brought myself
Down, down, down
To the ground, ground, ground
Where I started to shatter and break
I started to transform and I started to raise the stake
Hiss, hiss, hiss went the light
Stop! Stop! Stop! Said my fight
don't say what you got, girl
Don't say what you have, girl
Just walk away now, girl
My head started to scream
Not now, girl
Not now, girl
Run away, girl
Get away, girl
You're in too deep
Don't take it out of your pocket
Go home and go to sleep
Stay in your dreams
Don't rip yourself up by your seams
Not now, girl
Run away, girl
This is not a good idea!
But They were so enchanting
They were fearless and free
I used my one wild card
I wanted to not be me
And I fell down hard, my card was a joke
And there goes the smoke

No Love Not Now

I was scared and afraid of what I could be.
whenever a person of interest could really see me.
I don't fall for palm reading, magic, religion,or sexual desires.
All I want to know are you for me are you my special someone who will love and protect me.Can you see me as I am and not desire my body.
Can you withhold your passion for me long enough to see the real me. So I can give you my gifts that are of not heavenly but earthly delights. I'll stay in disguise to enjoy you company and your patience with me. And test whether you are right for me. I will look like i don't belong, I will dress as if I look floppy, saggy, and unwanted to test you on what you want in a woman. Do you want my mind or my body. For now with you i will say no love not now. Until I'm ready and you are ready to love me as I am and my body as beautifully made and created with my mind as simple, witty and charming to go with it. So no love not now darling until were both ready.

Not Now Please Not Now

Have you ever reached
into that bag of goodies
that is your life
and experienced
that tummy-dropping sensation
when you find it
to be a tad empty
a little short-handed
not containing what you need
for your current situation
and everything
absolutely everything
becomes one massive
all pervasive
reverberating echo
making you feel
positively, undoubtedly
unable to cope
and in your mind
all you can hear
pulsing
over and over
is a great big disbelieving
“Not now, please not now!!”
and then
you pucker up
pull your shoulders back
ignore the smell
and scrape the burnt
top layer of toast into the sink
leaving the deluge of burnt crumbs for later
‘cause hey
we all love a good ole buttery crunch.

Not Now

I tried to be numb
But I guess I’m dumb
I should just let this go
Or I’ll be in sorrow

I want to feel again
But I don’t want to yet
Not now for I’m not set
To have feelings again

I don’t want to hurt someone
Always a doubt on my mind
I’ll just wait that it’ll be gone
Go and leave nothing behind

Let me bury these feelings
Let me hurt, so you won’t be
I’m glad to see you smiling
I’m glad that you are happy

Not Now

In silence my lips have been drawing the shapes
Of phrases, so vague and deprived of a meaning.
My dreams are about to find an escape
To where the end always meets the beginning.
My black and white fears have got an excuse:
I still have the world - in my heart and around.
I'm no longer free - I have something to lose.
The more I deny that my freedom has bounds,
The better I see them, the more my heart frets -
The twilight has failed to appease me somehow.
I'll lose it all soon, but I'll never regret.
My lips keep repeating: "Not me, just not now".
