Best Normality Poems
As I walk through the turmoil of ADHD
I wonder to myself, why did it have to be me?
what happened to me as a child?,
to make me feel so wild?
why cant I control my mouth and my brain?,
why do I feel I'm going insane?
south Londoners will call me 'chicken oriental!'
professionals will argue, 'hereditary' or 'environmental?'.
To medicate or not, is the very big question,
spending years of misery to find the best one.
Finding the word's to say how you feel,
to ignorant people, who just make you more i'll.
deep breaths for me and to ten I am counting,
as I try to live 'normal' and climb this slippery mountain.
at last there is hope through prayer and meditation,
to get ready as the train pulls in to normality station.
Arthur's seat sits hidden by the cloak of night, his head up in the clouds.
Princes Street lies empty, no royals, no life, no crowds.
Nelson stands neglected, having made a monumental mistake.
Charlottes' going square without new books to articulate.
St Giles has closed his doors to weary pilgrim seeking refuge.
The Palace has lost its money, its reputation, its gold.
Up at the castle, the one o clock gun,
sounds to mourn Edinburgh's loss.
For all I hear, tonight and every night,
is the pitter patter of the rain.
It marks the tears of old Edinburgh town wondering,
will I be loved again?
Where be the Scottish man in kilt with bagpipe sash?
Or corner street drunken birthday bash?
Edinburgh weaps the soil untrodden,
those lost of late shan't be forgotten.
May we once more run wild with glee,
old Edinburgh town, the land of the free.

Normal.
Just a word,
Six letters,
Yet so powerful.
Normal.
Suffocating the unique.
Destroying the unusual.
Submitting to society.
Normal.
Following friends.
Feeling fearful.
Frightening the foxes.
Normal.
Taking away abnormal.
Straightening society.
Creating the same.
Normal.
One word,
With so much depth.
One word to create a uniform world.
Normality is overrated.
The silence was as loud as the noise had ever been
You miss your friends and family a hug is what you need
We craze the company of others our normal routine
A trip down the cinema to see a new release on the big screen
and for this virus to release us and for us to be freed
The silence was as loud as the noise had ever been
We turn the other cheek and give a cheesy grin
but we must stay inside the government as decreed
We craze the company of others our normal routine
You hope that the doctors can create a vaccine
You check the obituary’s for your name and for the death toll to recede
The silence was as loud as the noise had ever been
You rise out of bed and recharge on caffeine
another day of daytime TV is guaranteed
We craze the company of others our normal routine
Stand tall put on your happy face on and grin
As one day this will end let this be agreed
The silence was as loud as the noise had ever been
We craze the company of others our normal routine
It feels like I gave away all of my soul
All in false hopes of saving his own
And what now have I left to show for it all?
There’s nothing left but nothingness
Alone with my thoughts once more
Alone with what I can’t ignore
I have far less to react with now
Far less to feel with, you see
there’s less me
Ever as deplorably far from normality
As I can possibly be
sounds of gunfire
shatter a warm afternoon...
one more lockdown
gray feral pigeons
scatter from their rooftop nests ...
tomorrow's headline
-Society's view of the normal person is so far off that I am yet to meet a single person that has told me that they are this normal we speak of. Nobody meets the unwritten requirements of this conceptualized normality that we use so loosely. This normal is a powerful stipulation whose crutches enable negative judgments and justify cruelty. It is a unique opinion based illusion. As a matter of fact, it’s not evenreal.
Please break this chain. This is complete ******** and you know it! It takes one to know one and I know you're not..., normal. This is because you actually exist. Judgment driven, unspoken means of categorizing people into classifications based off of your opinion of their sanity…? News flash! Nobody knows your normal; nobody knows where their rank is upon your imaginary pedestal.
I would like to give you a moment to agree or disagree...
I would like to introduce myself in a manner that I would feel suits this occasion.
"Hi, I'm Chris.” I am a real person that lives in the real world.
I am far from this normal we speak of.
I feel that you can relate to me right now.
Open wide, chew on this…
“Hey Normal! I'm giving you to the count of three to speak up or forever hold your peace...
One...
Two...
Three!"
Lynching Live; So What? Trumped-Up Normality Reins
Knee lynching streamed live,
Shadowed death’s source is revealed;
Justice remains blind!
Cameras roll, showing death’s shadowed
source.
Cameras don’t lie; streaming the truth of
live murder.
Oppressive actions of intentional racialism
unveiled;
Yet, lynched justice remains dangling on the
tree of life.
In oppression, when freedom fires flare-up,
Executive ordered murderers begin shooting;
Revealing despotic authority racialism controls.
With the support of blind justice’s unbalanced scales,
The justified lynching of hued citizens remains pandemic.
The pandemonium of the intentional killings of forested
black men
Has become as normal in America as its friend, out-right
abject racism;
And breaking news reporting of such is as much a crime as
living black.
Live streaming of First Amendment rights has been deemed
unacceptable
And will be dealt with as an aggregated affront against the
government;
Getting back to normal again has become the unleashing of
viral racism.
America boils,
The pot of death overflows;
Racist soup spilling…
Many rains ago,
Lynching blacks was quite normal;
Today, it still is…
The lessons of today’s liberation struggle
Must not be viewed as a virtual surrealism
But clearly realized that it’s graduation time
And all must strive to be valedictorians
Least we all will fail to cross the live stage;
Yes, we hued ones are all in this mess together
And anyone of us could be next victim, even you!
Normality, that period between sanity and insanity.
The place our mind resides, directing our daily lives.
Fleeting moments of serenity, free from all other emotion;
when euphoria sets us free to dream, reminds of our sanity.
Moments of diabolical fear and remorse; the dark side
of doom and gloom, reminding insanity awaits in the wings.
Normality, the referee defining our humanity,
giving us our faults and desires in regulated doses.
Occasionally, giving us a glimpse of heaven and of hell.
Do you ever wish you could be
another face in the crowd
that fades from everyone’s memory
blending in like brushstrokes on canvas
catching no one’s attention or mention
Just a mundane man among the many
laughing a bit too loud in the pub upon
hearing a bawdy joke you found funny
Oiling a squeaky door hinge or
repairing a kitchen drawer that sticks
ticking those tasks off a long list
of everything that needs to be fixed
in the modest house you had to
sacrifice and save so long to buy
Flying anywhere exceedingly rare
the cost of first class out of the question
Never wondering if the woman you’re with
truly loves you or merely the amount
of currency in your bank account
if she considered what hitching her horse
to your name might do to further her fame
Unfettered and free to simply converse
with someone like me
another nobody
Normality
ills of academic hordes...
sought to lampoon the rest
into robotic construct
notable exploits ~wings of creativity~
via abnormality
certainty of hordes' unquizz
fore they conceal
wee might in twilight’s hour
meager lab’s florescent
shine dimly against darkness peep
of night starry
luminesce cuff
lonely Scoffer draped in madness
abnormalities
isolate unknown gene’s molecule
dispel horde’demic norm
certainty of normality quizzed
by abnormality… fore
he is said not to be illuminati
Normality
The science saved the day, again
No Frankenstein theatrics
Or headless brain
The villagers chase, not to fork or to prod
No burning torch, crucifix
Or running prayers to God
And while we applaud with no sense of reserve
The white coated wonders
And those who deserve
Part of me Hopes, as the lightning strikes
That our eyes flicker open
When reality bites
We learn not to tinker with life's natural rhythm
As peace is restored
We re-love what is given
But thank you for now
The brave women and men;
For the God-given gifts in you
Save us again
For the clowns at the table;
Please don't lead us astray
For the price could be shocking
In it's own kind of way.

Is demonstration a progressive method for normality?
Skills for a good quality are necessary for product,
Nobody wants to pay for wrongs, who can stock useless dirt,
Quality is a demand of us we return the goods if are faulty.
If a worker isn’t responsible who can pay for job royalty?
Responsibility is faith for living and security for a job,
If attitudes are hooliganism who can control a mob,
Principles are for betterment we need to draw formality.
Education and training is for realization so we can faith,
Faith is an actual life, understanding for living standard,
What is hard to follow the rules if we like human growth?
Satisfaction is a root of honesty if labour is n’t bounded,
Care is only a path that can provide benefits to both.
If rules are n’t applicable what is gain of one and hundred?
I take the pill and deep I go,
Where deep wishes and passions flow
Unbidden by the morals of the common world,
Inside my mind, in the netherworld,
I bear witness to tremors of ecstasy,
To love, power and impunity,
Where rape and slaying is normality,
Desire, passion is totality.
Scary emotions overcome me
My own history of reality is insanity
The end of the world engulfs me.
Bringing my thoughts to their knees of immorality.
And then I wake up in reality
My thoughts scattered without loyalty
Crumpled under my desire for newness
For traveling in the shadows of madness.
A life time
where one it seems
feels whatever will be, will be,
when one cannot take the love
that one wants to give,
in a one sided love affair
is normal.
Till the recipe changes
then the ingredients become
of a different mix,
one of harmony
that blends together
to give off
a reflection
of love returned,
then like the golden sunrise
becomes perpetual;
now that’s normal!
