Taj Mahal

Noor* of Taj Mahal, jeweled in red stone
death or love, tranquil oasis alone
rich jasper and jade hanging on its walls
in cold melody, mourning music falls

 Mesmerizing bride in gossamer gown
Veil reveals... the majestic palace crown.
A medley of corsage strewn in sealed dream
opulent facade, beauty is the theme

Pale blue sky in her iconic magic
wax melded moonlight triumphs a tragic
 covenant of love, splendor celebrates
passion so strong will never recreate

Aurora of a queen in marble white
 glinting Yamuna*, her sole copyright.

* Noor is an urdu word meaning Light
* Yamuna is the river on the banks of which Taj Mahal lies.
Taj Mahal means Crown of the Palace

Sticks and Stones

If you are cathedral of consecration
I'm the voluminous chime summoning souls

If you are the moonglade mountain peak
I'm the fedora of snow atop you

If you are the bantam flame of hope
I'm the mammoth lantern you sit in

If you are the magnificent crown of laurel
I'm the koh-i-noor glowing your majesty

If you are the whorly petals of the gypsy-sue
I'm the daggerlike thorns of flaw

If you are the bard of the Zambezi
I'm the first sonnet of your anthology

If you are the mythical firebird
I'm the scarlet embers of reincarnation

If you are the forsaken pirate ship
I'm the glubs of your drowning

If you are the ancient persian pearl
I'm the millions carats speaking your worth

If you are the sacred vial of eternity
I'm the gluck to the kingdom come

If you are cathedral of consecration
I'm the open arms of the door of mercy

Brave Noor, the Spy

a beauty untold
a faith untold to the weak
faith I've never met

Twilight of Spirituality

Twilight Of Spirituality

The world was dark
Before the Islam
Prophet after prophet came to the world
But the glory was very short
The twilight of spirituality had never stayed so long
They worshiped in wrong way
It was the time when truth was lost and there was no peace
No mercy on living beings
Then the finest creation came to the world
Last prophet of Allah, Mohammad (PBUH)
It was a night
Moon was shining bright
Then permanent twilight of spirituality begun
When the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was nearly forty
He started the meditation
He was a man who made a transition
Our Prophet showed so much dedication
Revealed to him the book named Quran
The holy shades of Allah’s Noor spread everywhere
The messages of Allah through his messenger
Blossomed like flowers of spring
This twilight of spirituality
Calm and peaceful like gentle breeze
Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) was a person who never uttered a lie
He was recognized as a truthful man
His appearance was like Allah’s Noor
His beauty was like shining stars
He taught us the things we ought to do
He taught us that Allah are one
Allah have neither a daughter nor son
He taught us to be good to our mother and father
He taught us Paradise lies under the feet of our mother
He taught us our appearance, family, mission in this life
He taught us how to perform Salah
He taught us how to give Zakath
He taught us different kinds of Jahad
He taught us Hajj, Honor, Truth, Love, Peace,
Humanity, Sympathy, care and so on……
With most excellent mind………
He taught us justice and understanding of mankind
He taught us human brotherhood and humanity
He was hurt to see bloodshed in the society
He possessed the knowledge which was a cure
The disease of ignorance, arrogance and many more
He (Last Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)) had broken all falsehood and evil way
He was the beloved Prophet of Allah
Through Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) Allah brought……..
Everlasting twilight of spirituality to this world.

You are the rarest and the heaviest
Of all our precious metals here on Earth…
Your sisters, Gold and Silver, are stockpiled...
But you are not...in case supply runs low.

To generate one ounce of you we need
Ten tons of ore and five months’ processing.
Outstanding jewelers, like Cartier,
Famed Faberge, plus Tiffany, create
Their jewelry designs in Platinum.

They turned you into lavish settings that
Secure some famous diamonds like the Hope,
Jonker and Koh-I-Noor. Your surface can
Be scratched, but unlike sisters Silver and
Pure Gold, there is no Platinum that’s lost.

You are the rarest and most valued one...
Each year we mine one hundred thirty tons,
To Gold’s one thousand seven hundred plus.
Our Platinum…rare metal of our Earth.

Dinner For Two

OK another adventure in the mad poet’s life,
This occurred just before I met Jane, my imaginary wife.
Jane’s brother, Glen had set me up with a blind date
He said the girl was a stunner, I could not wait

So dressed in me stripe trouser with me chequer tank top vest
I oiled me baldhead and let the old spice do the rest
Off I went down town to meet Deglet Noor (that was her name)
Glen said, “If you see her lips you’ll want to kiss them more and more.”

Then I saw her, and dam what a blind date
She was lumpy like custard with an all eye seeing Rottweiler that made me fearfully
hesitate.
She looked like a bulldog chewing on a bee
And the Rotter was eyeing me leg as if it wanted to hump me
I thought to myself, give the girl a meal
Then we call it a day and that was the deal

She chose this uptown place where rich people dined
A French restaurant with snails and frogs legs, you know the funny kind
I had a steak, she had prawns and a lobster too
And she persuaded me by force to drink champagne form her trainer shoe
When she ate poor lobster it was a terrible gore
I wish she could have taken a tip from Sir Robert Hinshaw

When we finished the waiter brought the bill and waited for me to pay
£1500 bloody pounds, my bowels almost gave way
I said to him “We not finished yet. Could we have Ice cream and coffee?”

And I said “Oh and don’t forget the mint toffee”
Me credit card was on strike and would not handle that amount
It was time for me to exit time to get out
So when the waiter had gone I told her I was going to the loo
Said to her I needed to off load a number two

In a terrible panic I managed to squeeze through the window, hitting the deck
I punched the air shouting “Yes!” followed by an “Oh F-ck” and “What the Heck”
I had fallen into the kitchen and not outside you see
The head chef said “We built it this way to stop people like you stealing from me”

Five weeks on and 100000 dishes later,
If I stayed any longer I’m sure I would have been promoted to head waiter
Nevertheless, If you do come across Glen give me a shout
Tell him the mad poet is looking to blow his brains out

**For my sweet Delysia Hendricks who asked me to write this poem**

**Deglet Noor is a date that you eat if you didn't know**

My Heart

Nothing but the truth darling Noor,
My heart is not in the look up anymore,
My Heart will never suffer no more,
My heart was like a desert floor,
So empty, so boring, no trees or ore.
*****
But after finding you,
Heartily words keep pouring out of my soul,
Miles of smiles, loads of kisses
And a real purpose of life and goal,
Completeness, awesomeness I FEEL NOW,
*****
You taught me without you knowing,
That Love never die.
You taught me, love is an ocean,
Whose depths cannot be plumbed.

Waqt Ke Saaye Mein

Kyun tu accha lagta hai,
tere deedar se yeh dil dhadakta hai,
Kya hai ye taluq hamara,
waqt mila toh sochenge.

Jo alfaz khamoshi mai chhup gaye,
jo khwab adhoore reh gaye,
Woh kaise bayaan honge,
waqt mila toh sochenge.

Teri muskaan ka jaadu,
kyun chand se milta jata hai,
Kya raaz chhupa in aankhon mai,
waqt mila toh sochenge.

Dil ke har ek kone main,
sirf tera hi zikr kyun hai,
Kya hai yeh junoon ,teri hi fikr kyun hai,
kabhi waqt mila toh sochenge.

Shab-e-tanhai ke lamhon main,
ya subah ke narm saaye main,
Kaun hai jo khayal ban jaata hai,
waqt mila toh sochenge.

Teri aankhon ki gehrayiyon main,
kya chand ki roshni basi hai,
Kya hai yeh noor-e-husn,
waqt mila toh sochenge.

Zindagi ke is hijr-o-wasl main,
kaun apna, kaun begana hai,
Is mohabbat ka haqiqi matlab,
waqt mila toh sochenge.

Dil ki dhadkanon ka sabab,
ye saanson ka silsila hai kya aakhir,
Jo uske deedar se tham jaati hain,
kabhi waqt mila toh sochenge.

Teri baaton ke sahil pe, khayalon ki lehar aaye,
Dil ki yeh beqarari , tujhe kaise samjhayen?
Mohabbat ka fasana hai, ya khwab hai adhoora sa,
Jo bhi hai yeh afsana, waqt mila toh sochenge.

The Reflector of Noor (Light)

It shines continually over our sullen earth,
Pleasantly parading these dark spaces in a splendour of righteousness,

Seldom does it cease; save for a moment,
As soft cotton wool covers it’s glow.

Searching for love in a dense cosmic plain,
It is the sign for us to believe again

God Never Dies

I too once assumed that by doing good
I could redeem my distorted bended soul
When I had actually done some of the worst

I thought I could do better than Him
Chained myself in guilt and disgrace
Beating life up, till things were back in their place

Turning a blind eye on the loving touch
who was sweeping up the hurts I in fact brought about
sewing back all the broken hearts

I thought I could be a better god… or a "responsible gal"
if I don’t let go off my faults
and keep scratching the healing cuts

I kept ignoring the loving one
whom poured down springs of cure from His core
To make me whole as predestined in the garden of “Noor”*

I thought I was making better my wrongs
By lingering in the faded lands
When we gave up to enemy our inherited stands

Not perceiving the victorious knight
Conquering all those captured grounds
Recalling us the monarchy of the reinstated time…

that’s why He is called “The Ancient of time”!

Oh, My friend! Can’t you see…
He has done more than what you can think
Laying down bricks of gold where ever the enemy had destroyed
Adorning it with heavenly gift impart
Don't you see the ending has become better than the start?

Lets trust Him and His plans unfold
Let us throw ourselves into arms so bold

He is mending, curing, sowing
I am healing , thriving and growing...

Let us affirm the Loving Hand!
Let’s not linger in the ugly past!

*Noor means light in Farsi.

Contest of Soul Consciousness: why is God still God at the end of the day, Creator of Heaven and Earth, creator of all therein, including man (and his Soul) worthy of all praise?

Reason of Creation of Universe

God created universe for the love of Muhammad
Created sun and moon for the desire of Muhammad

Said be and was universe, written all from start to end
Recited Quran as a whole, for the glory of Muhammad

All saints had come, to mosque their faces daubed
Said word of testament, for the noor of Muhammad

Companions had conquered, next ones emulate
Eight heavens laid out, for the love of Muhammad

At skies birds flied, montanes and stones watered
Trees gave fruit, for the love of Muhammad

Infidels had come, from him they took faith
Prayed five times a day, for the love of Muhammad

Jonah praised cause him Quran praised
Remember and say Salawat, for the love of Muhammad

Mom the Angle of the House

bright as a sunshine,

beautiful as a rose

and when she spoke words so kind

everywhere she went she brought noor

theirs no one like her you could ever see

she has a heart so weak,

but filled with pride

for its children to succeed and live a happy life.

Yeh Ankhein

sare raj dil ke tumse he kholti hain

sona to main bhi chahti hu

per meri nendon ke abh sapne kho gaye

ankhhon ke sare noor ashon sang roo gaye

jo harpal dhundti hain bus bahe teri

tere didar ko ankhein harpal tarsti hain

bus tere liye he pyasi hain

tere liye he harpal barsti hain yeh ankhein meri

Vehicle- the Death Angel

student they are
on the wings of knowledge,
on mirthful wings of angel,
on light of inside and outside

smiling touches them purely
fresh mind, fresh eye view to the future
they are frolicsome for acquiring knowledge
together footsteps on the airway road
crossing they are every step of offshoot thinking
 smiling, playing, gossiping, seeing, looking
and walking to the bright career

they are child to teenage on same base
on angelic wings and heavenly light
suddenly the MounTain LigHt comes upon them
comes upon them as Fat-Man and Little-Boy

it burns their wings of angelic soul
put off the light of happiness
cut up the two souls from their chain
wounded many of their caravan

MounTain LigHt brings mourning bliss for them!
it has no soul, no eye, no veins, no blood of kindness
it understands only the procession of death
it understands royal roads of Dhaka, Chattogram,
Rajshahi, Khulna, Rangpur, Sylhet, Barishal
it understands tareque masud, mishuk munier to Mim, Rajib and so on
it understands the darkness of grave yard
it understands the death angel Azraeal and greets him on inert roads
it understands a bier and shrouded dead body
it understands the epitaph with bereavement motherly tears

oh! light of life is not secured still on road
every innocent soul is devoured abruptly
giant death angel transform himself on vehicle
it comes as MounTain LigHt and fires, razes
nonsense demonic driver enjoys the race on bail
excited uncontrolled peoples ruminate stability,
demolish more lively soul in blind emotion
oh! death you are mad provoker on road to road
