Best More Likely To Poems
-This buds for you!-
-It takes one to know one!-
-I know you are, but what am I?-
A second hand, on my stopwatch, going nowhere!
You are a joker, a smoker, a midnight stroker
<-------How, about that, Steve Miller song
I'm not here to talk about the way you comment a poem
That's not how I roll, now listen, and listen well,
I don't care, about them words you speak
A whining sheep, every time you don't score
Crying behind close doors,
Boo-Who, I did not place high in so-and-so's contest
Gosh&dammit, not everyone's on a quest
Blogging, about the day, your poem got demoted to nonsense
Trying to comment relentlessly,
You can't top, a mountain that has no setup
I'd rather leave a copy paste comment,
"than being fake as fake can be"
At least, my copy paste was a song,
in which welcome the new poets on
Treating, everyone with love and security
Your invites, are cold and force, to you it's not about community
No motion, to your notion, simple, and disgusting
I don't know why you think, we are competing,
Long ago, I left you bleeding, no reason to be defeating
Your paranoia, has you thinking, it's all about the points,
It's getting old and boring,
You cry babies are nothing more than jokes and hypocrites
Hey you, this ain't dominoes, we done pass every Jo-Jo
When, I have time I sit here for fun, my trigger finger on the gun
Reading, commenting, until my day is done
You think, because someone, left a copy paste
That your poem was not read,
Perhaps, it was not understood, or enjoyed
Or, a welcome to the neighborhood
A nice smile, from me to you
Nice poem, You Rock!
So What! ---- WOW!
This Bud's for you
I think it's time for you to GET A LIFE!
Be glad someone took their time, in checking you out twice
Not, everyone on this site, is full of bull-****
The smallest words, are more likely to be legit
I don't need and expensive comment,
I don't want to impress, when it comes to the best comment
Please do not make love to my poem!
A nice pat on my back will do,
Now that my friend, puts a smile on my face
To know you care, to know you were there:)
Peace Out,

She thought by marrying an older man
She would forever look young in his eyes
He led the way, ‘twas a child that held his hand
Until he met with an early demise
Older now, she finds herself attracted
To young men more likely to outlive her
But my, oh my, how her peers reacted
With choices she made, they could not concur
Fiftyish gal with a thirtyish mate
He showers her with such great affection
And he doesn’t mind she can’t procreate
But from old friends she's scorned by rejection
These friends have husbands who are cheating now
For men have desires to feel young as well
Their marriages hang from a fragile bough
As these men fire blanks at much younger belles

First, understand that sorrow is a room
with no furniture, only echoes.
Every word you speak will return to you
slightly changed,
like a photograph left in sunlight.
Learn to sit still in emptiness.
Your body will protest,
it was built for movement,
for purpose,
for the illusion
of progress.
Ignore it. Stay.
Notice how grief has weight but no shape,
how it fills the spaces between your ribs
like water,
how it makes you both
heavier and more likely to float away.
Do not rush to redecorate the room.
People will offer you curtains, rugs,
paintings to cover the walls.
They mean well.
Refuse them gently.
The emptiness is not a problem to solve
but a truth to inhabit.
Sit with it.
Let it teach you the grammar of loss,
the syntax of what remains.
Eventually, and I cannot tell you when
you will notice a door you hadn't seen,
not an exit but an entrance,
leading somewhere you've never been.
You will hesitate at the threshold,
understanding that moving forward
means leaving something precious behind.
This is correct.
Step through anyway.
The room will always be there,
that echo chamber of what was.
You can visit whenever you need to,
but you no longer have to live there.
Sir Homophone came to meet the maid that somehow stayed so slim.
Her feat was to stay chaste to him and yet by his feet be chased by him.
She had recently lost some weight by refusing to partake in evening sup.
It seemed the more that she pared down the more likely to be paired up.
All night the weak maid prayed so meekly for the Knight that she sees.
But the Knight preyed to be made thrice weekly and she at night to seize.
She hoped he would meet and see her and then choose to wed,
But it was the supper meat that saw the sear that he chews instead.
She sewed her dress then pared the wood and the holy altar made,
He sowed distress when he prepared his wood to wholly alter the maid.
“Maid please tend to me now you’ve said you weekly have sordid sex.”
“Knight please you misunderstand I said I weakly have sorted sox.”
She begged, “Please be discreet with what it is that we’ve discussed.”
He shrugged, “You are awfully discrete in what it is that you disgust.”
But love conspired to steal, his heart soared and they were off to wed,
Then lust transpired to steel his hard sword and they were off to bed.
He was happy because of her sighs and she was happy because of his.
This concludes my good Knight tale and all of this good night tail biz.
You read it didn’t you? Shame on you, I had to read it because I wrote it
but you had a choice. Benny Hill would be so proud.
America is everyone,
There are people who believe otherwise
But America is not
Just some middle class white man,
Living a suburban life,
Drinking coffee every morning,
Eating breakfast with his beautiful wife and children.
The American dream right.
But America is more than that
America is a Cuban boy
Being as loud as he wants,
Then blaming it on being Cuban,
Taking coffee shots to wake up,
Trying to learn a language separate from his native tongue,
Getting frustrated in class because he feels stupid,
While his mother and father work overtime to help feed him and his siblings.
America is a black woman
She wears her curls with pride,
Her voice is strong,
Her independence is stronger,
She takes nothing from no one,
And has the will power to work long days and nights
To make sure her kids get to live a good life
Because she’s done the research
And it says that black kids are more likely to drop out of school than white kids.
She doesn’t want them to struggle like her
She wants them to be happy
To prove that a kid from the south side can become a doctor, a lawyer, president, anything.
America is a Muslim girl
She fears going to school every day,
But she trusts her faith and with struggle
Puts on her hijab
Presto, now she has target on her back
Students make racist jokes
But no offense right
And lord forbid that the topic of Isis pop up in history
Because then the wondering of eyes will all point at her
And they will question her about terrorism
As if she knows all the answers.
People want her deported
But she just wants to have a full day without any remarks about her religion
She wants to be normal.
There are “functional psychopaths” among us,
different from their murderous counterparts
who use their detached, unflinching and charismatic personalities
to succeed in mainstream society,
and in some fields of work most shockingly
the more psychopathic individuals are more likely to succeed.
We all possess psychopathic tendencies.
It's a scale along which we all sit within varying degrees.
The brilliant neurosurgeon who lacks empathy
has more in common with a Ted Bundy than we'd like to believe,
and that mugger in the parking lot lit very dimly
may well in fact have the same nerveless poise as a titan of industry.
Society as a whole is more psychopathic than it could ever be.
Fearless, confident, charming, ruthless, and focused are all qualities
that are tailor-made for success in the twenty-first century,
and all of the above mentioned qualities
are very dominant in every psychopath's personality.
It is our much maligned dark side that often reveals
the trump cards of success functional psychopaths conceal.
Certain diseases seem to be more prevalent in some races than others
So with no other issues in your family health care history
You still may have risk factors for several diseases
Just by belonging to a particular ethnic group
African Americans
Have an increased risk for diabetes
Insulin resistance
Have the highest heart-disease risk for high blood pressure
Asian American
Have an increase risk for osteoporosis (especially women)
Caucasians
Have an increase risk of osteoporosis (especially women)
Litinos

Are over 6x more likely to develop kidney disease if diabetic
Native Americans

"Guts and gain trap your more likely to stand on the hill"
a tree that's now the oldest of ten has become so weathered and oddly thin
but blood continues to flow in every scratched and surface of my skin
Once a growing seedling no weeds would dare crawl in and a stone was cast a back
all my little saplings would love me under the shade like a small animal pack
they knew I would always kneel over them with no form of slack
My branch is starting to bend but calm I stay rooted looking up at the dawn
at ease with a gentle wind my soil now lumpy and dry
no one comes with water to rest my troubled soul or even a word of good-by
You see, sometimes you give and sway no matter the need or strain
but when this old tree is bending low and money is no longer a flow
just a whisper upon my ear gives me the honor for a new branch I may grow.

Moments pass away
In my mind
Only few chose to stay
This is a moment I lived one day
Carrying meanings
More than anyone can say
Walking on the bridge
Nearly at noon
The sun is strong
But,
Heavy clouds make it look like a moon
I woundered at my beloved Nile of wisdom
But it didn't look the same
I used to see it filled with regret and pain
But now
It's different
More likely to be a dream
Clouds let go of smooth soft sunrays
Found their way to the Nile they praise
Spread on its holy water
Filling it with energy
Till the last drop
Returning life to it
Regret was gone
Pain was killed
Just young snow white dancing waves
On a moonshining sparkling river
Inspiring the world with hope and power
I wish it could stay for hours
But soon
Clouds were gone
Taking away all the joy and fun
Now nothing stops the strong sun
Exposing what's locked inside
Of dark green motions
Gathering all inside
For centuries with no cautions
But still
Parts of the sun floating on it
Like ashes of a golden dreamboat
I once sow
We're barley over
As the sun hits the shore
Rocks break what's left of hope
Closing the last open door
The moment is over
There is no more
Returning to reality
I look back again
No doubts I'll see this moment again
No matter when
But
Would it be ENOUGH ?!

The Old Lady In The Shoe
November 22, 2013 at 5:57pm
Dedicated to all my children around the world;
The big and small of it.
Some appreciate the little
things that encourages
them to do big stuff.
Some won't say anything,
because they never
get enough.
N'ary a second thought they give.
Some think they are entitled to it
and know not of reciprocation.
Some think that they should always
be the center of your attention.
Some children you can
doat on, and give them
all you've got.
Then there are
those to who will never
reach out to offer invitation.
Never lend a helping hand
To execute your plans,
It's selfishness
that guides them
because they love you not.
Some children want to be heard
others just wanna be seen
but the unappreciative child
won't amount to a hill of beans.
Some children need a little push
while others need a shove
mothers can never tell a child
Which one who best she loves
When mothers see these attitudes
She knows which child
will pass life's test.
Some play in the corner
day-dreaming all alone
Some children keep
lots of company;While
others have one friend
that is all his own.
The one you devote
your time to
may not be the child
that does his best.
Some children need you more-
Some children need you less.
But the child that won't say
" thank you" mom....
and never listen to advice
is the ones that breaks
a mothers heart,and
discounts her sacrifice.
Some children need a little push
while others need a shove.
Some need a swift
kick in the pants
or maybe a wake up call;
Others just need
a little coddling:
But never does a child
deserve no love all
Just remember the old lady
who lived in the shoe..
She had so many children...
They said "she didn't
know what to do."
Mothers learn your child,
try to give each what he needs
The one that appreciates
their mother is...
more likely to succeed.
footnote : original version
There was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had so many children, she didn't know what to do;She gave them some broth without any bread; Then whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.
Earlier version:
There was an old woman Who lived in a shoe,She had so many children,And loved them all, too.She said, "Thank you Lord Jesus,For sending them bread."Then kissed them all gladly and sent them to bed.
when faced with a clearing upon a path
are you more likely to walk or take a ride
is the answer more important than the question you ask
or is your journey just a result of your pride
when is it the most that you feel alive
is it the conjure of voices in a crowd
or is it that voice that triggers your drive
when you can hear your heart beating loud
does it take someone near you to realize you are breathing
is it the breath you feel inside your lungs
is it their heart that keeps yours beating
or is it their words that slip from your tongue
do you quest to live in a world where everyone agrees
a result of a reality where everyone is dreaming
does the world exist simply to find those to please
or do you choose existence where you give yourself meaning
does thinking of the universal fear keep yourself from you
the idea of being alone clouding your thoughts
as the convictions of others dictate what you do
while the mind forgets what it has been taught
does the flame of your heart flicker from others doubts
as evening beckons you to sleep
or does your heart tell what you're about
when the world causes you to weep
when you walk a road at night
is your shadow the only company you need
or does that thought instill fright
in the twilight when the dawn recedes
when thoughts web and cloud your mind
are you sure that they are your thoughts that you are hearing
or is it when you left others behind
that the light is shed on what you have been fearing
"Choose this day whom you shall serve,
but as for me and my house we will
serve the Lord." Joshua 24:15***
OH! You are truly free to choose this
Day whom you will serve. Although you
May choose to follow and worship other
Gods. And I am just as free not to
Join with you in your idolatry.***
OH! We each and every one of us has
A choice of the God's we will serve.
Our culture and our society choose
To worship the gods of silver and gold.
And to worship the human body beautiful.***
But as for me, even though I am only a
Household of one senior citizen. I have
Made my choice to follow Joshua's example
And serve the Lord of Hosts, the Creator
Of the heavens and the earth.***
Whether or not you choose to follow in
The footsteps of the Son of God and
The Son of Man is left up to each and
Every person living today on planet earth.
Some people are freer than others to choose.***
This is the facts now in evidence in countries:
That have not previously known the good news
Of Jesus Christ; are much more likely to receive
The good news with gladness and rejoicing!
They freely worship and freely praise the Lord***

While you waited, he slipped comfortably into her panties.
Sometimes less is not more, it's just short of enough.
Rather than saving for a rainy day you should buy an umbrella today.

He was on the highway to hell, fortunate for him his motorcycle broke down.
She wanted one on one time, sadly she had someone else in mind.
Of all your personalities I like this one the best!
Every time I make a judgement about you, I learn something about myself.
If you want to be seen, sometimes you need to stand by yourself.
Speaking louder does not make you right!
When you walk with your head in the clouds you're more likely to trip.
Original sin has become somewhat unoriginal!
I want to one day be as smart as he thinks he is.
Everything old is still old even if the new stuff looks old.
You can take that to the bank but it will cost you!

Never ever underestimate the power of your own stupidity.
Not all who appear friendly are friends.
The one who loses brings another much joy.
