Best Mirza Poems
God bursts everywhere…
Smile of a child
Twinkle of an eye
Surge of a wave
Silence of a grave
Bloom of a flower
Unseasonal showers
Kindness of the heart
Purity of a thought
Every drop of sunshine
Some poems of mine
Starkness of the night
Forgiveness after a fight
God bursts everywhere…
In the green of the woods
In the ‘G’ of the good
Moments of fear
Heads bowed in prayer
Every bite of chocolate
Ghalib’s* every couplet
Serenity of soul
Oneness of a goal
Bonding with friends
Concern of parents
Sweat of toil
Whiff of wet soil
God bursts everywhere…
Tears of solitude
Courage of fortitude
Vibrance, music, words
In organized and absurd
Dreams, hopes, love, compassion…
Humming tunes and quiet conversations,
Even after my days are done
This poem will forever go on
A verse could be added each day
Because God bursts everywhere.

Crowning Glory
Mr Rose, welcome to this antique plexus,
It will for sure tickle your neuro plexus,
This exclusive table of veneer has a historical nexus,
Sandalwood modified in the grand factory of Texas.
Some pieces here do have a background mystical,
But this unique model with motifs has a glaze magical,
Multipurpose architecture,no doubt,it is usefully structural,
Crafted with engraved pattern as crown for beauty additional.
Two moderate sized shelves on both sides,
Have scope for things to store in wide,
Centered drawer for documents at handy inside,
With a plain table top to use with pride.
Well spaced top to write, eat and sit,
Water proof century exotica for so many things to fit,
I bet a deal no loss, all profit and benefit,
Just for more than 400 dollars to start to bid.
Moghul Emperor Akbar had it in his court,
Mirza ghalib renowned poet on it wrote,
Queen Elizabeth ,its flourescent key chains did note,
Monsieur, any other dealer many times than this will quote.

Engineer MA Mirza
Against ALL ODDS
Wiped out BABAS.
When there was no man, there was God
After men will perish there will be God
Man’s fate is doomed by being
On earth the sin of Adam he pays for
Heaven for virtues and hell for sins
This is what the providence decrees
This dictate makes man weary
How little time he has to experience the world
With youth gone and fabric of health in tatters his woes increase
His attainments, his glory and fame, a history
The shadow of Angel of death following him
With claws of death in readiness to maul.

Translations of Urdu couplets and poems by Momin Khan Momin
Perhaps
by Momin Khan Momin
loose translation by Michael R. Burch
The cohesiveness between us, you may remember, or perhaps not.
Our solemn oaths of faithfulness, you may remember, or perhaps forgot.
If something happened that was not to your liking,
the shrinking away that produces silence, you may remember, or perhaps not.
Listen, the sagas of so many years, the promises you made amid time's onslaught,
which you now fail to mention, you may remember or perhaps not.
These new resentments, those old rehashed complaints,
these lighthearted and displeasing stories, you may remember, or perhaps forgot.
Some seasons ago we shared love and desire, we shared joy ...
That we once were dear friends, you may have, perhaps, forgot.
Now if we come together, by fate or by chance, to express old loyalties ...
Our every shared breath, all our sighs and regrets, you may remember, or perhaps not.

Being
by Momin Khan Momin
loose translation by Michael R. Burch
You are so close to me
that no one else ever can be.
NOTE: There is a legend that the great Urdu poet Mirza Ghalib offered all his diwan (poetry collections) in exchange for this one sher (couplet) by Momin Khan Momin. Does the couplet mean "be as close" or "be, at all"? Does it mean "You are with me in a way that no one else can ever be?" Or does it mean that no one else can ever exist as truly as one's true love? Or does this sher contain an infinite number of elusive meanings, like love itself?
Being (II)
by Momin Khan Momin
loose translation by Michael R. Burch
You alone are with me when I am alone.
You are beside me when I am beside myself.
You are as close to me as everyone else is afar.
You are so close to me that no one else ever can be.

If there is no kashful mahjoob there is no Ali Hajveri.
If there is no Al muhannad al mufannad ther is no deobandiyat.
If there is no Husamul haramain there is no barelviyat.
If there is no abd-al-wahab najdi there is no wahabiyat.
If there is no Youtube there is no Engineer Mirza.
Na me wahabi na me babi
Me hun muslim iLmi kitabi.
I met him in the airport and he told me he was a Mirza
He had ancestors who had come from Ancient Persia.
He was tall, dark, goodlooking and had the typical dark eyes.
And when he talked to me, you could tell, he would never tell lies.
He was quite a conversationalist, I could tell right away.
And seemed to be happy to be there that day.
What he told me sent goosebumps and chills up my spine.
For he said he had been killed there one morning round nine.
I looked at the clock which was above my head.
And of course it was nine, but I ask myself, was he really dead?
He continued to tell me of a suicide bomber attack.
That had happened at that airport, right there in Iraq!
He was on his way home when he felt a great blast.
The next thing he knew, he saw his body go past.
His spirit was hovering just above the ground where he lay.
He was looking all around wondering hey, "What the hay?"
He finished his story and when I looked around,
This nicelooking guy was nowhere to be found.
A trip to the library proved his tale to be true.
He wanted to tell me so I could tell you.
The airport he visits is now his own shrine.
And he visits every morning exactly at nine.

Are you aware that the Messiah
Of the age has come?
Whom the past prophets foretold,
That would have to come
In order to purify the mankind, because
Ungodly they have become
Making them friends of God, of whose
The enemies they've become
Bringing peace back to the world, which
No one even expects to come
Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad
Was that Messiah to come
A native of Qadian, from where no
One expects the Messiah to come
Both the heaven and earth bear witness
That he was the Messiah to come
Go to him,for you to be saved from the
Deluge, which the world has become
He is "The Prophet Of The Time ",
Whose follower is a must for you to become
Alas, not all things in life are easy; Even man struggles to be human.

In shadows womb, where hopes may fade,
The road is coarse, the nights are long.
Yet through the hearings, hearts are made,
In shadows womb, where hopes may fade.
Each tear a touch, each fear a blade,
But still we rise, we’re still grown strong.
In shadows womb, where hopes may fade,
The road is coarse, the nights are long.
This is a famous a poem by Mirza Ghalib, a famous poet from India.
“Umar bhar Ghalib ye bhool karta raha, chere pe thi dhool, ayena saaf kata raha"
A translation:
Ghalib, all his life, made the same mistake,
Dust on his face, as he constantly tried to shake,
Polishing the mirror, his reflection to forsake.
My adaptation for Wrinkles:
I peered in a mirror, seldom viewed,
Dust streaks amazed, my face subdued,
Cleaning persistently, mirror I cleared,
Wrinkles sharpened as time adhered.

"The greatest lie in the world is told touching the holy scriptures in court.
And the truest of all is said by drinking the wine in the bar."
- Mirza Ghalib
The universe is mine, I belong to this universe
I am cherished in the true bar of natural love
I am rude without myself but a true fanatic with me
I never went to religious people to learn myself
I didn't want to touch the scriptures, I didn't want to learn by imitation
I did not look for a different partner except the true self
Existing within me is I- an absolute self
I am a drunkard partner in my truth with the drink of absolute self-wine
Don’t want to be a hypocrite shield by being a part of the scriptures' sign

Let me return to past, let me recall tonight
With me cries, each corner and wall tonight
What let flowers to slit throat in my garden
Who has invoked the curse to fall tonight
My screams have awoken people from sleep
Separation to be mourned in rainfall tonight?
He might be Abbas-e-Ali collecting tears
Mourners have sighted him tall tonight
Mirza, your phone is ringing since evening
Who told you to deny her call tonight?
