Premium Member The Field

Summer resplendent sun glowing
in the photosynthesis of viridescent grass.
Waving blades like long fingers flowing,
the sudden sighing gusts come and pass.

The field lives palpable in the anamnesis.
I step through the Queen Anne’s lace,
I lay down on dense turf, where distress decreases,
Sun of repose wrings out pain, leaving no trace.

The field uncut, surrounded by trees,
shooshing wind mixes only with the hum of bees.
Lazy, balmy, timeless afternoon, grasshoppers leap.
Musty grass inhaled. I doze and fall asleep.

The field dandelions release seeds like cotton
floating on nuzzling breeze, landing, then begotten.
Burrowing moles hunt earthworms under soil.
Nests and mounds, why do ants tirelessly toil?

Toad hops by, pausing, inspecting for insects.
Sioux Nation meadowlarks sing of friendship
from the nearby woodland intersects.
Love by dissolving into field, my ritual worship.

At cool dusk, I awaken to cricket chitter.
Night’s canopy of cosmos is without dimension,
measureless. I am free and joyous in star glitter.
I merge with field habitat, awakening all sensations.

regrouping
i take a deep breath
like nothing else matters
owning the moment

basking in its magnificence
relishing in the focus
the intensity of being present
the pulsating rhythm of consciousness
and synchronized openness

making peace with time
letting go of the past
of what’s ahead of what’s next
experiencing life in segments

having sublimely discovered
the secret to stretching time
measuring life in instants
and gaining a feeling of…

if not control at least harmony
as it becomes a way of life
showing me what’s most rewarding

Meditation...
Is medicine for the soul. When you...
Navigate through the seven body chakras, and
Delve inside yourself, it gives you
Freedom from stressful thoughts and feelings, and
Unfettered exploration of the terra incognita. Your...
Lungs expand as you inhale, and your...
Nebulous mind becomes clear once again. So relax...
Exhale deeply from your mouth with each breath in, and...
Savor the soothing, quiet...

Premium Member Mind Full, Less Mind

I walk across myself,
In daily grace,
Lacking that which legs embrace.

I bounce.
And trounce,
And pounce upon,
My mind as if, as if,
I’ve been pronounced.

Aching for a feeling felt,
By those before me freed,
By shadows shaking in cerebral leaves,
Melting nature, neither knelt nor creed.

Undulating evanescence of feeling for a now,
Halt your breath or lack thereof,
For you I’ll heed a bow.

Seeking sorrow I wish for not,
Though thoughts seek for your brush.
Sucking me into the rush,
Of mindlessness I’ve fought.

Always fleeing the fear of me;
The one that has no locus.
Ricocheting nervous flux,
Into a constant lack of focus.

Rhyme, no,
Not time,
Nor dime,
Hidden in a pig,
Whose aching effort of swollen holes,
Is but a brief and shameful gig.

Despite the lack of spoken spree,
Or glee within a trance,
A chance to free the me in thee,
Has saved me in your glance.

Hopeless, a joke of hocus pocus,
Abra go grab the macabre who woke us,
For without wishes I’ve only you,
Which make me less than two.

The Value of Life

The value of life is beyond measure,
In every moment lies hidden treasure.
Tie it with the thread of dreams,
Make each day your own, it seems.

Learn the art of living through strife,
In every obstacle, a new path for life.
With love, compassion, and truth by your side,
These are the colors where joy resides.

Time flows like a river’s song,
Memories hold where smiles belong.
The essence of life is the bond we share,
Connecting hearts with tender care.

Hear the melody in every heartbeat,
Life is a symphony, gentle and sweet.
Let’s come together to nurture its glow,
And let the colors of life forever flow.

Make up your mind to be at peace,
Ignite your heart to know the truth;
Nurture fond finds that bring sure ease,
Delight sure start as calm sets proof;
Feel inner glow as stillness comes,
Use clear focus to show you how;
Live lovely flow as moments sum,
Niche kind locus right here and now;
Explore the feel of loving grace,
Sense the aura as peace fashions;
See joy reveal bright glow in place.
Notes sculpt flora in kind action,
Opt to be still as love appeals,
Work then bold will as splendour heals.

Premium Member Just Breathe

Listen to the still, small voice
As silence drifts around your thoughts
Caressing, accepting, delighting
In the hope, faith and love
Found within the sincerity of a soul

In the breath of one short moment
Much joy can be discovered
Embracing the heart with gentle warmth
Brightening the promise of dreams
Who abound in this flash of wonder

Hearken to the inspirational message
Steeped in the brew of assurance
With heartwarming prayers sent to Him
Who is alive and dwelling in heaven
Awaiting our heart’s best supplication

Enjoy, enlighten, enliven… embrace
All the inspirations found in true praise
Of the creator who brings wisdom and grace
On music flowing with lights that hesitate
To give off a amber glow of rejoicing

In the breath of one short moment
Discover the spiritual wisdom and insight
Into the life who knows only to believe
On the God who is the creator of Love
And inspires us all to give back from our faith

Murmur over a feeling, an emotion, an idea
Imagine the truth lies buried in the spirit
Discover the peace that sometimes hides away
Beneath colors of darkness, melancholy and brooding
All the little views of a heart caught up in living

Within a silent moment of expectation
Draw out the calm, the serenity, the affection
Smile at the kindness of God’s mystery
And feel the laughter that consoles and directs
The heart toward a place of mindfulness

Premium Member Refreshing

Sometimes the dry desert wind
Strips slowly the sandless skin
Of the soul

Gentle balm of the wide Spirit
Settling upon the surface
Singing a song of suppleness

Message of the mindful reflection
From the internal mirror
Of the heart

Home to the fruitful Spirit
Residence of the restoring, loving kindness
Of the refreshing riverside

Where solace comes, pacifying
With the sounds trickling and dancing
Over cool stones of thought

Premium Member She Floated Into My Dreams That Day

She floated into my dreams that day,
Stealing my wealth,
Shaking my roots, ignoring my prior convictions.

She had a different opinion,
Determined to shake me and shine me.
I was a boot, tossed around on the bed,
Tucked under,
Thrown into a wall,
Tried and discarded.

She floated into my dreams that day
And took over my schemata,
Obliterating it,
Crucifying my former beliefs,
Throwing them into the closet of lost things,

I dared not retrieve them,
Getting used to my new stance
As a boot,
Changing myself completely,
A new shoe,
Not fitting on the old feet,
But converting myself to a new glorious foundation
Of spiritual truth,
A changeling, forever, and completely.

Premium Member Mindfulness

Mindfulness
Paying attention
And enlightening people
Who are hoping for a smile or a touch of kindness

Mindfulness
Listening to your spirit guides
So you can inspire and uplift
The people who are waiting today

Mindfulness
Showing people the best side of themselves
The side they might have lost along the way,
The happy, lilting, lifting, playing side.

Mindfulness
Being able to heal not only your own heart,
But other people’s as well
With a smile, a wink, a wave, or a nod.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is being in the moment, with the past
A dim memorial and the future ripe anticipation;
Without investment of self in uncertainty and “when I…”,
Just living life in the now.

I read the book of recipes and am drawn
Into its world of pungency, lost in imagined tastes;
And I linger at this altar of sensual delight,
And am mindful.

A glass of Riesling sits close by, cold, crisp,
With subtle oiliness hinting at future promise;
Its acidity bites at my tongue as I imagine
Lemons in Greece might do.

Fragrant prose makes my nose twitch, as though some
Herb, roughly chopped to embrace the warmth of spice,
Is thrown into the bubbling pot to lure the hungry,
And I think of you.

The spell of the moment is broken by your
Presence, uninvited and unwanted but irresistible,
An imagining, without form, that brings emptiness, longing,
The elements of grief.

Why do you do this, Madame, why do you
Not leave me to be at peace with my present?
Why do you intrude, when you have been silent
This long while?

I want to be with you, or rid of you;
There is no compromise, I cannot be an acquaintance;
There is no possibility of a hint of love, like
A hint of chilli.

I imagine inside your mind, where I have no
Place, no presence; I am forgotten, like a withered
Posy, whose scent is as dust and adds nothing
To our pleasure.

And I live in this moment, dissolved in
My emotions, swept up in thinking, and wonder
When it will end and you no longer disturb
My present.

The ascetic monk reminds me of the impermanence
Of all things, and the unhealthy possession you have
Of my thoughts and feelings, putting my happiness
at your command.

Miserere mei: soaring notes wash my mind clean, no
Thoughts or emotions can find space in this reverberant
Cathedral of penitence; transient music that lives forever,
Unlike that pure treble.

I am again mindful and you slip behind the
Curtain of music, an actor quitting the stage,
Your speech done, the plot carried forward
To its end.

Premium Member Certain Days

On certain days, I’m moved only by a tailwind,
The breathing of the sky, the cadence of my heart.
On special days, I know only the imagined,
The sanguine waltz cascading from the start.

Some days, I just inhale the spice of powder earth,
The emanations of every life force I behold.
I dwell in iterations, the treasures of life I unearth,
Each moment is serendipitous, so wondrous, and bold.

On given days, I inhabit my core quiet, my still pond,
In touch with my tranquil repose, my smooth slumber.
I center in my soothing moment, never looking beyond,
I may be circumspect in my introspection, but never somber.

On different days, I drift on tidal dreams of many moons,
The wash of whispering oceans, and undiscovered seas.
I breathe in the briny fever of green, my private lagoons.
I savor the firmament, all the pleasures felt with ease.

On other days, I carry the chorus of every endearing flame,
Every deep carnal craving recalled, renewed, and revived,
I regret all the lost loves for which I am solely to blame.
Repairing my past, I long to heal all those I have deprived.

On certain days, I’m moved only by a tailwind,
I touch my reset button to live all my life in the imagined.

Premium Member The Vase of Mindfulness

Strands of breeze criss-cross the blossomed garden,
like destemmed leaf I rustle aimless on the ground,
don’t see the beauty of the flowers floating away,
don’t find motif on butterfly wing fluttering around.

Currents of wind transect the blue stratum of sky,
like the detached clump of cloud I drift to nowhere,
don’t get colors from the sunburst horizon at dawn,
don’t notice silver lining of the glow of moonshine.

In monotony of sound in the breaking waves’ surge
like the forlorn pebble on beach I roll back and forth.
don’t hear whispering melody of serenading breeze,
don’t listen mild murmur of pearly water flowing by.

In tide of noise my mind wanders beyond awareness,
I concentrate ruffled life in serene depth of meditation,
learning to extract ecstasy from focused consciousness
to see the soul bloom in bliss in the vase of mindfulness.
