A Rainbow’s Magic

A rainbow’s magic reflects God’s majestic and divine touch,
Giving us a panoply of colored images which mean so much.

The wonder of God’s enchanted pictorial missives here on Earth,
Gives us an ethereal pause as we reflect on each rainbow’s birth.

A rainbow is God’s celestial medium of His images to treasure,
To help Man better understand Him and meet His deft measure.

The power of a rainbow is its picture-perfect aura of pulchritude,
Dazzling our visual senses and assuring us of Heaven’s certitude.

A rainbow’s very visage mesmerizes our human senses complete,
And embeds in us all God’s spirited message of His love replete.

A rainbow is a noble and supreme reflection of beauty at its best,
And of shades of heavenly images on Earth meeting God’s behest.

A rainbow’s magic is the power of God’s message to us on Earth,
Subtly preparing Man for his heavenly ascent and his soul’s rebirth.

Premium Member Dark

"Mild brown eyes beckon me to the past, but memory provides no clue." - Mason Cooley

Dark are the eyes of my love -
dark like freshly brewed coffee
brimming with the lust for life

Dark is the skin of my love -
dark like a beautiful ebony night
and velvet to my touch

Dark is the hair of my love -
dark like soft, rich sable
through which I tenderly run my fingers

Dark is the mahogony obsidian chakra of my love
which empowers him with strength and sensuality,
and mesmerizes me with the poetry of his soul

Premium Member Silken Laced Moonbeams

Glistening diamonds sparkle
within a thousand star lights
wrapped into one holding the highest space

Oceans of the night you flicker bewitching charms
upon the crest of each wave under the moonlight
your royal gaze mesmerizes

Reflections carried under intoxicating incandescent lights
transfixed adoration crystallized inside your heavenly embrace
where a spell unlocks feelings in a million thoughts

A Flame Without a Match

The first flame will always be its own.
None can ever mirror it.
A second flame born of the same candle
may be coaxed to life;
but 'twill ne'er be the first.

Go ahead, grab the matches, grab the candles,
everything you need to start that fire.
Light that first flame.
Revel in its fervor, enjoy it while it lasts;
don't be too sad when it burns itself out.

Try to light that same candle, a second time;
if indeed it can be lit at all,
it won't thrill you the same.
Yes, it's still fire; it still mesmerizes,
still creates that heat, and still burns.

But 'twill ne'er be the first.

Now, take a second candle, and put
flint and tinder to that one instead.
Watch it, live with it, savor it -
and when that one too eventually dies down,
riddle me this one question.

That first flame is oft times the fan favorite,
but which, in the end, is truly more precious -
an attempt and mayhap success, at a second,
imitation flame,
or a fresh first, with a different candle?

Make no mistake, on rare occasion that second flame
of a first candle may even be better than the first.
Yet, even were it more ardent than the last,
every single fire is unique -
and some small part of you will always remember that first flame.

Any others may be
more wonderful and fierce,
may be slovenly mimicry,
or may be raw magic in their own right -
but 'twill ne'er be the first.

Premium Member Breath of the Trees

Breath of the trees, invigorate me;
Negative ions, oxygenate
and I am refreshed.

Song of the trees,
lull me to sleep;
soft on my ears,
you send me sweet dreams.

Faces of the trees,
your beauty mesmerizes;
enchants my imagination.

Fruits of the trees,
nourish my body;
fortify my life with your sustenance.

Wood of the trees,
you gave me a home;
self-sacrifice is noble;
you never complained but,
accepted your fate.

Beauty of the trees,
your magic speaks to me;
shimmering emeralds of the woods;
your splendor inundates my spirit with joy.

Never stop your breath;
you make this world a better place;
your gifts, the most precious
of all jewels.

LEAST WE FORGET THE GIRLS’ KILLING CRY
(Apropos The Boko Haram Girls)

                i
We no longer hear
the screams of the young girls
nor the whimpering
of their little brothers—
nor the echoes of falling tears
of grieving widowed mothers
and the muffled hush, hush, hush
to new born babes.

How much longer
must we awake
to another morning
we wished we never lived to see?

Mornings where
the horizon’s plains
are dotted with earthen keloids
of humpbacked graves
in overpopulated makeshift cemeteries
where food crops once grew.
Horizons reminiscent of
the screaming echoes animating
from departing Middle Passage ships.

                  ii
How much longer
must we experience nights
of damned deranged dads—brothers
roaming, ravaging, raping
sisters and slitting mothers’ throats;
damned deranged dads—brothers
driven by a demonized illusion
of the Nile goddess of fertility;
intoxicating themselves
with chalices of their families’ blood?
How much longer?!!!

How much longer
must our daughters remain
forgotten victims
Of those who’ve lost the free
in freedom—like those who’ve sold the in
in independence—lackeys
to and of ancient slave masters
who’ve learned well
the western ways of deception?

                    iii
Unmoved and no longer
grievously concerned,
the world mesmerizes itself
with a deceived sacrilege image
of a revered Nile goddess.
Meanwhile, defiled bodies
of African girls
are no longer newsworthy…
these wretched of the earth sisters
continue to suffer ethnocentric
rape and gendercide: perpetuations
of free roaming…hoodwinked brethren,
inebriated with neo-colonial genocide.

Premium Member Cradle of Life

Intense heat ripples across
the vast sand dunes of the Serengeti
where it intersects with the
silent shores of a rare desert lake
a calm, cool oasis for both
man and beast.

Taj Mahal of the desert
it is a liquid cradle of life
coveted by a thousand tongues
as languid lake mesmerizes
drawing all that breathes
to its scarce waters, casting a
mirage like spell, beckoning
with reflections set off by
the hot desert sun, to come.

Salvation for the weary traveler
primal waters implore, drink!
Drink to the full, and be filled!
For blessings, unforeseen
are at this footstool of life
a sacred spot, touched by
the hands of heaven
offering a haven of rest, respite
and tranquility for all who want.

The Joy of Love

The boundless joy I feel when you are near
is peerless, much more valuable than gold,
and I can scarce restrain a happy tear
when your resplendent beauty I behold.
Your tresses, silken and so fair lie soft
upon your pillow, vision so divine,
your slender body mesmerizes, oft
I long to hold you close and make you mine.
Your eyes like sparkling stars so deeply rare
   imbue whate'er they see with purity;
no sweeter verdict pass'd could be my share
than be here bless'd for all eternity,
safe in your embrace with all the world astray
I'd lie content, my cares would fade away.

TEEN PASSION

As we walk along the path of a nearby valley,
Teenagers in love, where the laden fruit trees shake out
Their shadows onto the green luscious grass, we feel the
Sheer ecstasy of the moment, is there anywhere else
I would rather be than with you, in an unpeopled
Place, where the sweetest of meadows mesmerizes
Us, and the mating song of birds, stays in tune
With our mounting passion. The sunlight filters through
The orchard whose ripe intoxicating aroma is for the
Taking, as are you and I, we feel encompassed by nature,
Drenched in the enormity of the beauty around us, our
Hands clenched in a sweaty clasp, entranced, our heightened,
Ardour now screeching for one another’s attention,
We lay down, urgently, impulsively, body and soul excited and
Apprehensive, longing for what is to come,
We passionately embrace, our lips touch, such blissful
Love we made, lying naked allowing the breeze
To ripple across us, we once again embrace, only to be
Brought back to reality by my father’s far away voice,
“Afternoon tea is ready, come and get it kids”

Premium Member Whispers of the Pen

My pen’s whispers melt the silence
With a breathless touch of compassion
Blended into hues of softest memories
Soothing my melancholy with brilliant
Arrays of charming roses opening petals
To a golden sun who lights up the dawn
And sends reflections of faith to the noon
Coloring the world with embers of hope

Like a warm embrace lulls my doubts and fears
From their place inside my anxious thoughts
Echoes of creativity swim through my waves
Of emotional trembles, teaching me to reminisce
Evoke sensations of gentle truth through my
Sensitive impressions of gloom and mystery
Enhancing my spirit with dreams of serenity
Abiding within my heart and soul, pouring fervor

Erasing all the crimson discouragement and blue
Flickers of uncertainty, reluctantly I appeal to joy
For the chance needed to feel fully, completely
All the exhilaration that I know lives within me
Where pride prays to humility and awakens the flow
Of sensitivity, capturing my feelings in the mystery
Designed by intrigue and inspiration, imagination
Painting the world in rewarding embers of elation

When I write from the core of my soul, opening
My heart to love that overflows with gentle bliss
I know the reason I feel so intently, so furiously
The passion that mesmerizes and enchants me
Keeps me alive with phenomenal fascinations
Thrilling the desires within, flaming lights striking
Radiant rays of promise, potential, possibilities
Dancing on the wings of captivating wisdom

When my pen reaches in – I grasp pure, flawless truth
A knowing that pours forth dreams from the soul!
Only God knows the muse that opens thoughts
Pierces wishes and awakens the truth of visions
Discovered within the one who sings a song of love
To the creator of all that is or has been or will be
The One who knows the heart’s deepest mysteries
And answers the prayers of every waking spirit!

Sweethearts Enchantment

As a sweethearts cremson rose
True Love… within hearts... be-trolled
Each beat… is ever lasting… sweet
Mesmerizes two souls

As passion… within overflows
Desires begin... Exceedingly grows
Just like… a moon lit night… shows
Stars sparkles with… twilights gleam

Within the mist… of it all... such bliss
Glorious love… intertwine two streams
Grasping a soft… but boisterous kiss
Within dreams… of dreams… total paradise it seems

Song Lyrics whispering… Sweetheart’s enchantment
Mysteriously be-holding… God blessings sent
Tenderly within reach
True Love unfolding… between each

Sweet fervent… within arm’s reach
Touched within... hearts of gold
Love everlasting… never grows cold
Magic parallel… between two

God’s gives True Love… encounter by two
Mystical Bliss
Sweetheart’s enchantment… “I Love You”
True Love in life… Subsists

~God Blessings come of ~True Love~within Hearts between two Souls~

Flawless

My eyes slowly droop
Getting closer and closer
To darkness
But I still try to
Slap myself awake
And the process
Continues like that
For about five minutes
That seem like hours
To the half conscious me
Every time I inhale,
Your scent overwhelms me
A bit like cookies baking
A tad, of freshly cut grass
But mainly the smell of the sun
The sweet sweet smell
That mesmerizes me
Your warmth radiating
Keeping me safe
I feel you all over me
Even though you are
Just next to me
You aren't asleep yet
I can tell
You pretend to be
But your uneven breathing
Gives you away
You're eyelids are closed
And your long lashes
Flatter your perfect face
Each, crevice flawlessly formed
Your lips sturdy in position
But look longing for that kiss
That I have been holding onto
Your milk chocolate hair
Brushed slightly over your forehead
Your jaw relaxed
As you exhale, I feel
Warm moist air shower
My head, laid just below
As I rest it on your sturdy chest
I can feel every breath
And hear every beat
Of your perfect heart
I hold onto one hand
Desperately trying to stay awake
 Savoring every one of these
Perfect moments
When you and I breathe together
And are one, warm and tight
"I love you," I whisper under my breath
I finally let my eyes shut, and begin to drift
Only just hearing the slightest sound
Of your smooth voice, loving me back...

Premium Member The Most Beautiful Girl In the World

The most beautiful girl in the world.

Have you seen her?
The most beautiful girl in the world!
I have! And she is a wonder to behold
She stops traffic, no need for police
She lights up a room, she's that electric
She shines brighter than the brightest
diamonds and pearls
She's the most beautiful girl in the world

There's nothing that compares to her
nothing else to look upon, to gaze upon
for she is the sole possessor
of all the beauty that exists.

Her smile, her kindness, her grace
entrances, mesmerizes, paralyzes
Have you seen her? I have!

To be close to her for a moment
to catch a glimpse of her elegance
is all that is needed to take your
breath away, and once that is done
you can die in peace
as you are breathless anyway.

Have you seen her? I have!
Now there's nothing left to do
but to wait, until she appears again
So ...I'll just stay here...waiting...

contemplating my

vision of loveliness

my wife.

Premium Member The Enchantress With the Greenest of Eyes

The Enchantress with the Greenest of Eyes

This lady is quite lovely and most fascinating with the greenest of eyes,
And she’ll easily captivate and bewitch all men she meets with no surprise.
This lady has the reddest of hair, long and full, with such a lustrous sheen,
And with her soft skin and a nubile appearance she looks just like a queen.
This lady’s grace of movement and mellifluous voice are most charming,
Which makes her all the more enthralling to men and at once most disarming.

Now one can see why this Enchantress with her comely visage of pulchritude,
Can make easy work of the men she meets and mesmerizes with such certitude.
This reflects that some people in life are not what they always appear to be,
And this Enchantress wears such a mask hiding her true self—for no one to see.
Since this is the reality for men who fall for this lady while making their pitch;
It will be obvious to many of them over time that this Enchantress is a Witch!

For men who succumb to the spell of this Enchantress, it’s time to pay the Piper,
And so they will now meet the real person behind her mask who is Satan’s Viper!
With powers of sorcery and debauchery supreme this Enchantress sets her goals,
Which is to sow fear in her victims—bringing eternal damnation to their souls!
For men who might meet this Enchantress, don’t look deeply into her green eyes!
This deep look will lock your soul under her evil power and bring on your demise!

The Joy of Love

'...in the spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love.'

    Alfred Lord Tennyson.

The boundless joy I feel when you are near
is peerless, much more precious than pure gold,
and I can scarce restrain a happy tear
when your resplendent beauty I behold.
Your tresses, silken and so fair lie soft
upon your pillow, nestled by design,
your slender body mesmerizes, oft
I long to hold you close and make you mine.
Your eyes like sparkling stars so deeply rare
imbue whate'er they see with purity;
no sweeter verdict pass'd could be my share
than be here bless'd for all eternity,
safe in your embrace with the world astray
I'll lie content, my woes so far away.
