Premium Member One Sip of Chai

When my fatigued pen,
succumbed to a sleepy state of silence

in the market place of silent poets,
I searched for a tea room to stimulate my mind

my quest led me to you.

I do not recall the colours
of the cup, nor the saucer.
Only the shimmer of light,
reflecting your delicate,
slightly tanned hands.

I wondered, was it the chai
or those hazel bronze eyes -
something left me mesmerised.

One sip,
a sudden sense of serenity
overcame me  -
like the sun had risen through my heart,
warm rays beamed through my eyes.

To not lose the moment,
I sipped slowly, savouring subtle sensations.
Silky smooth liquid caressed my tantalised tongue,
as taste buds yearned for just one sip from your lips.

Suddenly, a profusion of poetic thoughts
began to burst through my mind.

This was no simple musing.
Rekindled pen began to flow like rivers of chai.

Love Hurts - Bound by Love Broken by Fate

(Extracted from my Poem ‘The Train’ and made into Lyrics and a video.)

Mesmerised by the candy-coloured rainbow
Coy behind the fairy floss clouds
Through shimmering sunbeams, we gazed
My senses in overdrive
As memories surface
And hover back to
That one day
Boarding this very train
Squeals of joy
As cloudbursts unleashed rain

Chorus
But you left me
You took my heart and locked away the key
Squeezing into one seat
Wrists caressed and kissed
Floating to that intimate space
Sensual lips taste
Whispered promises
Sparking bright eyes
And blushing rosy face

Softly against my ear a hum
Our song
Fingers daring to trace
Burning paths
Through shredded threads
Faded jeans
Breathless on the high line
Us, giggling teens

Chorus
But you left me
You took my heart and locked away the key

Speeding through fields of wildflowers
Sparkling like diamonds with the fallen showers
The train hooted in joy
Through the rain splattered window amazed
Mesmerised by the candy-coloured rainbow
Coy behind the fairy floss clouds
Through shimmering sunbeams we gazed.

Chorus
But you left me
You took my heart and locked away the key

Premium Member Fireflies

Night fell,
Summer’s heat abating,
I sat leaning against a tall magnolia,
Its fragrance spreading everywhere
Like echoes of whispering breezes.
Despite all I could not rest and sleep.

The moon and stars were invisible now,
But darkness could not cover the glade.
Fireflies flittered here and there, glowing.
I was mesmerised by the fireworks of the night.

Suddenly I heard a delicate delicious melody.
Was it the fireflies orchestrating their symphony?
Soft enchanting tunes enticed the whole glen.
Could this be a dream descended from the hidden stars?

The melody changed, cadences tuned up and down,
The fragrance of the magnolia increased,
The moon appeared and all was bright.
Butterflies flew all around. Or were they fairies?
I could not tell for suddenly my eyes became heavy
And blissfully I slept as joyfully I dreamt.

Book: Radiant Verses: A Journey Through Inspiring Poetry

Soul Mates Solace

When my final shadows cling on desperately
Where I fight formidable battles
to merely hold the light
I send you loving vibrations
and soul sustenance
Deep from the cathedral
of one heart to another
where today no choirs sing
nor symphonies play
Yet it is here where we meet
in spiritual solace
here to surrender
and exchange inestimable treasures
recollecting memories
like unopened letters
Galaxies are stretched
over chronicles of shared history
Nebula birthing stars
will be exposed
in forth-coming conversations
bringing short-lived fulfilment to you
Hungry to feast
now will be the time
to approve your blood art vision
and with my own haunting surrender
as dappled shades ink stain your chest
I will reside with you and share, mesmerised
pens - by branding
as this will be your written reams to me
your artist's pallet or brushed canvas
no need for words
and yet creating
mysterious magical moments
Bitter-sweet the music
that dances taut guitar strings
but now blood approved
please go kick your heel up
return to your laughter
and ride on the breeze
for not all are lost
change not
for I am with you always
to love, listen and comfort as one
with you in me and I in you
as masterpiece

Premium Member Love Beneath the Stars

The stars move round in perfect harmony,
All planets move in their destined paths,
Never wavering. The harmony of celestial routes.
And now and then in the dark of the night,
I climb onto my roof and watch the million stars
Shining upon the earth with all their splendour.

Look right down in the sky, is that not the morning star
Many label it as Venus which does not twinkle,
But stares directly into your eyes, evoking love.
Oh, how elated can one feel, mesmerised by emotions
So deep into our hearts as we yearn for companionship.

Hush, the culmination of love comes with the moon
As it moves up above the dark purple hills.
I call my wife to come and see the enormous wonder
Of the dazzling resplendent night panorama,
Knew that our love now blends into a romantic oneness.

Premium Member The Dance of Jealousy

I saw them dance the Second Waltz, so lovely, so fine,
Oh my Lord, how my jealous heart did despair and pine.
On the terrace, in the dark of night, moonbeams shone bright.
Curse them, a perfect couple that evoked a great sight.

One, two three and a twirl, oh what a delicate dance
I stood, looking in envy, mesmerised in a trance.
Would that magic music finally pause and take her
To a comfy seat and I would take her as my fleurr.

Hold her ever tight, and face to face, we would engage
In a soft whisper, kiss her soft ear, 'twill be our stage.
But no, they danced on, oblivious of my green face
The terrace was their dominion, it was their birthplace.

Jealous I slinked home, abandoning her forever.
I will not see her again, neither now or ever.

Placed 1st.

Premium Member Of Kings and Kids - Collaboration With White Wolf

A Brothers White Production

Skipping through the tall dry grass
memories of childhood flood back
the summer of youth a distant cry
as mudlarks face an early sun

On my back in the grass, as I read
stories of kings and knights
wind caresses my hair, whispers
an almost forgotten song

Dragonflies circle above in the sky
mesmerised by their flight
I am transported far back in time
lost in these pages I now breathe

And I am a boy again, plastic helmet
cardboard sword; brave and strong
we run around fighting each other
and invisible low-life enemies

Dragons appear in front and rear
Swooping down breathing fire about
But they are no match for us
as we slay them one by one

Those days, where grass was our universe
where friendship lasted a lifetime
and we would forever stay young
-deep in our hearts we always will be-

Premium Member The Sound of Silence

This scribble has nothing to do with the famous song of Simon and Garfunkel. It's just a story I invented.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I bought a cottage in the middle of nowhere,
Right at the edge of the countryside,
Any curious men rarely visited it,
So I stocked it well with food
And worked all alone on my laptop
Electric poles provided current.
So I could enjoy the peace
Within the sound of silence.
I had left the cities full of noise,
Only songbirds broke the silence of the site,
But that I could bear well enough.
Within the sound of silence.
Winter came and soon I was snowbound.
That’s when a knock sounded on my door.
Reluctantly I opened up my place.
There, on the threshold stood a woman
All drenched up and with flimsy clothes.
Her beauty stunned me. I let her in.
My car has stopped, she stammered.
So I sent her up to have a hot bath,
Gave her my dressing gown and invited her
To partake in a hot chicken broth
and some ill-prepared food.
And all this was done as I stood
Mute but mesmerised by her allure
For it was the time for silence.
Bad weather kept her imprisoned in my home,
Few words were exchanged
But she felt the power of silence.
A week later, the countryside was clear of snow.
She phoned a garage to pick up her car.
Then I decided to take her on the river,
How beautiful she looked in her proper clothes.
We got in a boat and paddled away to an islet.
We disembarked and partook of a picnic she had prepared
We spoke little but we came close.
She smiled and timidly I kissed her for the first time.
I felt my heart throbbing but all was quiet
Within the sound of silence.
We married a year later and eventually
The cottage was soon filled
With the crying of a newborn sound.
We were elated and made such a fuss.
Gone was the sound of silence.
All I remember is rampant rain and a loud bang.
As dawn distilled through a canopy of palm trees,
glimpses of light reflected like emeralds on leaves.
I felt blessed in its warm golden glow,
as I awoke under clear sapphire skies.
Radiant sun blazed brightly,
reflecting like a fluorescent mosaic
upon turquoise waves kissing my bare feet.
I could hear cobalt macaws squawking
and soaring from cliffs to branches,
as the ocean lulled with a soft lullaby.
The air was so pure, but muggy,
as curious creatures, I had not seen before,
creeped and crawled around me.
As I wandered along a champagne shoreline,
I could hear an orchestra of morning birds,
composing their exotic melodies,
which added to the tranquillity of calmness.
Footsteps of fate led to a verdant forest with
an abundance of mahogany and rosewood trees.
A fluctuation of kaleidoscopic butterflies floated
among a plethora of petals in lush layers of
amber allamandas, maroon mandevillas,
orange orchids and purple passionflowers -
their sweet scents blending with saltiness of the sea breeze.
As my soul connected deeply with my surroundings,
a leafy path of twigs led to a myriad of mangroves,
their roots resting in an aquamarine toned lagoon.
I could see fancy fish in vibrant red, yellow and silver,
swimming in trails of troops around water lilies.
As my enchanted eyes gazed beyond a
flock of fuchsia feathered flamingos,
towards a gentle waterfall cascading,
serenely over steps of rock -
I caught a glimpse of a figure in divine light.
Dressed in ivory and gold,
reflecting in the image of Aphrodite.
Her bronze skin shimmered in the sunlight,
as her flaxen fair hair flickered in a gentle zephyr.
Such was the epitome of her grace, I was mesmerised.
I could have admired her brown pearl eyes, forever.
Unaware the endless blue horizons were
now dipped in velvet and honey hues,
I forgot about the diamonds in the sky.
The moon glowed like a ruby at midnight,
shining scarlet moonlight upon her lips -
my whole being craved for just one kiss.
Before I could approach her,
I opened my eyes in an unfamiliar room,
as a nurse in a white uniform asked me;
"welcome back, are you all right?"
Beautiful Muse
She is draped over a chair,
Artfully fashioned
Like a fine piece
Of silk.
He imagines that her softness
Would sweetly mould into
His hands
Like ripe fruit.
She stays still and silent,
Letting him consume her
With his hungry eyes.
He drinks her in,
The fullness of her breast,
The gentle curve of her hip
And the honeyed tones of her
Naked skin.
Her natural beauty
Has him mesmerised....
Lips apart,
Heart pounding,
Motionless.
He feels the heat of creation rise in him
And with power and purpose,
His eyes break contact as
He touches
His brush
To the canvas.
Premium Member the sea beckons
the sea lures me
    as waves run
         one after another
splashes over the silvery sand
    and moving shingles
          slow tide flows inwards
                holding me
                      in its spell
 crabs are carried
towards the deep salty sea
I stand mesmerised
      listening
                  to its melodious thrill.
seagulls invite me
                 I just jump into the sea.
*DRAGON  BEAUTY*
claws of insanity
locked deep in my dark dungeon
mesmerised by eyes
soft scale like petals
my prisoner forever
heart of a dragon
wrapped around my tail
lost in my ring of fire
naughty demon breath
clever like a beast
taunting my prey like dessert
a spell you can't break
Rude Hood
Once there was a girl, little hood,
She was a fine mamma, looking good.
Hood decided to take a walk
Didn’t see the wolf watching her like a hawk.
Mesmerised by her swinging ass
He trailed behind watching her sway with class
He said “I gotta have a piece of hood,”
“That ass is juicy and good for food.”
Suddenly he stopped with a frightful stare
Across from her was mamma, papa and baby bear.
The notorious trio who did goldilocks
Just  down the road about three blocks
Wolf said “I’m not gonna stand for this.”
The Wolf now was getting pissed.
He draws his ooze and colt 44
Rat a tat tat  mama , papa and baby no more.
Smoke clears and he sees hoods’ on the floor
“F--k!” he screams “I killed my wh-re.”
 She stirs and looks at him with a smile,
Hood says “Bad boy tonight you get to do d--gystyle.”
Lovers Eyes
Not long ago our destinies aligned
and of all the people it had to be you
your fragrance in the wind is left behind
as you walked by as i held the door for you
we wined and dined and hoped to outshine
the glittering stars of the night
you came at me in the midnight and held my hand
with no constrains you took me away
hand in hand amongst the sleepless souls
Side by side through the half empty streets of mainz
our brilliance playful act of love felt so alive
Sitting down spacing out to thoughts and memories of you
uncertainty overshadows every dream of you
piggyback rides and lingering goodbyes
of the same mind tonight i hope we could be two
mesmerised by the sparks between our eyes
passionately yielding to this sensation you and i shared
with fastened lips and no words to spare
the essence of love was in the air in a surreal like dream
time stood still for you and me
Sitting down spacing out to thoughts and memories of you
uncertainty overshadows every dream of you
an unseen dramatic contraction
of what seemed to be a lasting attraction
Unanswerable questions are left in wander
Unquestionable answers are left to ponder
Words of love and poesy used to quickened you
bittersweet traces is all that I now leave you
Silence is all that remained that only a wonder can break
To enlighten your heart and brighten your smile like a summers day is my aim
