Best Mellifluous Poems
In my hunger,
I saw a hallucination of heaven.
From afar, visions of a golden glow,
lustered, lingering above a crowded crossroad.
This aura of agave aromatherapy,
left an amorous aroma of romantic ruminations,
so I became a devotee, desiring her divinity.
But, such was her evanescent existence,
those effervescent eyes now seem ephemeral.
Adrift in the angst of absence,
I feel the lament of an autumn leaf,
yearning to be evergreen, clinging to your stalk.
Or to sharpen and shape like a tenacious thorn,
honouring your rosso corsa, roseate radiance.
If I was a polyamorous poet,
my abundance of adjectives and alliterations,
would be disloyal like daylight,
so my vibrant vocabulary vows to
allegorise you in my anthology of analogies.
My mellifluous muse, I care not if
your verses are vintage or virginal,
as you are my most memorable metaphor -
the assonance to compliment my consonance.
In your majestic moonlight, I'm fluorescent,
portraying a perpendicular penumbra,
craving for you like a citrine crescent
hoping to become complete.
I'm a bard with a baritone ballad,
blossoming words like spring sepals,
into a boundless bouquet for my beloved,
so remove the veil behind your verbs and
reveal your velvet vermilion lips once more.
There is an alluring art to an aubade.
In an aureolin and amethyst aurora,
our lantern of love will forever scintillate,
serenading in smooth and soothing susurrus sounds,
soaring in a serene sapphire sky,
ascending like a saffron sunrise sonata
and if cumbersome clouds,
colour horizons in charcoal,
delicately descend, pouring in holy drops,
soaking my soul like spilling ink
on unblemished ivory fibers.

Apples ripen pink, hotly blushing,
though the ardent yellow sun grows faint;
blackbirds sucking soft honeyed sweetness.
like babies at breast, show no restraint.
Mellow ripeness splays rich-toned color;
the trees raise scarlet armed applause.
Red-brown and gray, small creatures hurry
stowing provisions for winter's pause.

Music to my ears, so mellifluous
is the nightingale's song, ambiguous,
Give ear to her notes, they float on the breeze,
swirling through the air, they're tuned to appease;
I dance to her song, so mellifluous,
She's sitting somewhere, inconspicuous,
Her aria drifts down and I’m entranced,
In the stillness, her whistling sounds enhanced;
I hear her melody, mellifluous,
and I forget all my cares, strenuous,
Lost in her lilt, feeling romantical,
All I needed was Nature's canticle;
Such mellifluous strains, simply classic,
I hear the voice of God in her music.

In a world of mellifluous dreams,
Where whispers embrace in soft moonbeams,
A moiety of verses, murmuring in rhyme,
Revealing the secrets of an arcane time
Nemesis, the muse, with susurrous breath,
Weaving tales of love and death,
Her voice, a sigh, a melancholy strain,
As she plucks the strings with a gentle domain.
Ensnared in the web of her melodic spell,
Lost in the music, where emotions dwell.
Strumming the chords of passion and desire,
Her ariose melodies set hearts afire.
Maundering through realms of imagination
She paints landscapes of exotic charm.
Guiding listeners through a mystical visitation.
Where dreams acquire a form.
In her lulls, the world finds peace.
As the lilting notes caress and increase.
A symphony of emotions, a dance of hearts,
Her music is a balm that heals and imparts
With every strum, she ignites a fire.
These passions burn and inspire.
Her melodies are such whispers in the night.
Illuminate the darkness, bringing forth light.
In this realm of mellifluous dreams,
She weaves a tapestry of enchanting themes.
Her voice, a vessel of emotions soaring high,
Transcending boundaries and reaching the sky.
Her music, a language that knows no bounds,
Connecting souls and making hearts resound.
In the realm of mellifluous dreams,
Where secrets unravel and hope redeems,
Her melodies, such whispers in the breeze,
Bestow solace and joy, putting minds at ease.
In the realm of mellifluous dreams,
She helms supreme, and the muse schemes

Mellifluous tune
Utterly sweet, melts my heart
Spills love, makes me swoon
It comes from where - I know not
Charming and soothing - an art!

What you don't know, that I know.
My voice so mellifluous
Presenting me as emasculate,
As if I am heaven's perfect candidate.
Ohh they don't know,
As they clothe me in pure perfection.
Only if they pay attention,
To my speech rather,
They'll see a different dimension.
And not that I blather,
Course in my other perception,
I call it adjudicating with invention.
Although that might be over rated without being calculated.
I am completely aware,
That "I am naughty, but yet innocent"
And yet many still don't know,
But I can't say beware, I can only put them up for a dare
Not that it's all bad, i'm not a rotten potato in a bag
Nor am I a lion in a sheep's skin, My naughtiness leaves an ignited room and my innocence leaves a healthy bloom.

Other
Sunlight morphs into the elixir moonlight
dusk wearing a sequined black silken shawl.
And the daylight truckled the way to twilight,
for embracing the shadows, captivating all.
Nightingale heralding serenades to usher night.
A soothing symphony of cynosure sway,
Empyreal cerulean sun, fanned by the moon.
Finding riddles while gently a lissome display,
haphazardly scattered amid a sea swoon.
Shadows glide in a lithe and untamed way.
Thrusting past the unbreakable shield,
they celebrate an undiscovered world.
Silences emerge, mystery in the field,
untold secrets are saved with a sword.
In exquisite ariose, they swing and wield.
The whole earth is suffused in a golden hue,
depicted in ambrosian strokes drawing the sky.
As the sun costumes, relentlessly renew,
palimpsest marvel raveled in the yarn of day.
Inviting us to explore the mellifluous view.

Quintain (Sicilian)
mellifluous and mesmerizing
a distant melody I hear...
melting my soul softly
with its mellow magic
a flute tune so soothing
sweet and symphonic
transcendental
awakening my spirit
moulding my dampen mind
into a clay diya
spreading love and light -
a light to the realization of
the meaning of my mundane existence
as I close my eyes and listen
to this mystic blissful tune
even the Gopis, peacocks, cows and birds
of my mind's mural art
that depicts His divine grandeur
seem to come back to life
and merge with His grace
my muse has lost its metaphors
to portray such a glorious moment
for, the merry chimes of metaphors
are now meek and muffled
hushed and muted
in that dulcet tune that wafts in the air
a distant melody I hear
mellifluous and mesmerizing...

Mellifluous her soothing voice
Each word sugar-coated
Like sweet honeyed candy
Luscious and mellow
In her gentle dulcet tones
Flowing sweetly and melodiously
Lyrically euphoniously
Unlike his loud flamboyant tones
Oh such vociferous sounds emit
Until he heard her mellow words
Smoothly ~ gently her voice doth calm

Tetractys
a mellifluous trickle had given way
to licking her wounds in silent arrest
of the honey flow of her beautiful mind
synapses clotted on stagnant display
like burnt marshmallows on a fire
charcoaled pen roasted at her core
incinerated thoughts feeling briquettes
blackened in a cold cauldron of fear
all that was left was her amber necklace
a shrunken talisman reduced to a token
tight rope and garrotte in anticipation
of snapping her slender foundations
in a desperate attempt to sever the cord
she felt sorry for the insect that captured
her plight encapsulated in resin and time
yet immortalized in a capsule of being
she kissed the pendant in final farewell
the jewel sprung into an action of hope
and the semiprecious stone opened up
released its startled prey and spoke softly
I only kept you away from peril and death
until agony would be a challenge once more
a platform for growth change and passion
nectar oozed down her parched throat
ambrosia teased her awakening voice
softly spoken she swallowed the past
tickled with bee’s syrup’s euphonia
the sting of the tale wrote a new story
sweet toned fluidity gathered its current
released slumbering strength and dreams
and a captive audience mellowed surprise
lavender rose hip and cinnamon dispelled
motionless nightmares and hibernation
sugary fragrances guided her passage
to a point of no return scented in joy
for many years she had been unable to see
the butterfly waiting to grace her future
now the sound of freedom spread its wings
as she danced in the crown of surrender
to truth of trial error sentence and misjudgement
that had protected her from the trap of demise

Knumbed by her beauty
I stood in the fast beleif
she'd refuse my suggestion
of suppering in evening
she stood proud and
assured that I would
beg her whilst her friends
observed to sneer and smerk
I stood unattractive to either
but her gentle kindness
allowed me her person
when evening speaks
to the dawn
might the entanglements of
lovers speak to the night
might the crooning of songsters
croon
to make atmosphere for evening
her trusting me allowed me
to be me
unassured and stumbling
then welcomed by her kisses
our feats en lovemaking she
holds me
and makes me
her person
she makes me her lover
might the evening
speak to dawn
none shall know of our
nights together.
Admiration by morning
Inamorate from the night
than she spoke me
to be
to marry
to
marry.
We flew to Hawaii
I met her their
we shared a marvolos time
when we returned home
we married
a preachers stammering
tougne
spoke usas husband and wife.
