Best Malcom Poems
Be quiet quiet quiet
Shush shush shush
We’ve spoken too much
We haven’t listened enough
Black men and women
It’s not easy to be brave
Oppression and inequality
make you feel like a slave
Your struggles are constant
Beyond what we realize
What we take for granted
Should be a right not a prize
Stand tall men of principal
take to the streets
Chant Black Lives Matter
Share your beliefs
We’ll be quiet quiet quiet
Shush shush shush
We’ve spoken too much
We haven’t listened enough
Change shoulda come
So long before today
Our river of cruelty
is still on display
Brother Malcom X
Joined with Muhammad Ali
Their life force and bodies
Cried out for humanity
Then Sam Cooke sang to us
“Brother help me please”
So why are his people
knocked back on their knees?
Jim Brown broke boundaries
While playing on uneven ground
Later movie star and activist
Why has his voice had no sound?
So yes be quiet quiet quiet
Shush shush shush
We’ve spoken too much
We haven’t listened enough
I wrote this piece after watching “One Night in Miami”.
The struggle is real!

Lyric
They want our rhythm but not our blues
They envy our natural melanin yet tan too
We wear our style and they call it hood
They copy it now and say it’s all good
They want to erase our heroes and heroines
Because there’s a power in the skin we’re in
King, Tubman, Malcom X, Garvey and more are
Past heroes guiding future black American stars
They say it’s DEI and continue to denim deny
Racist goals and faulty souls as the reason why
Black is resilient beautiful and brilliant so true
You enslaved raped murdered hate, we don’t need you

You see I had lots of respect
NOW you are begging for attention
and a reality check, so try me,
Try me like satan tried jesus,
Your trying to unleash all that steam
but you only sound like a tea kettle,
you claim to be the rock of Gibraltar
but your only a pebble,
didn't your mother tell you not to play with fire,
now I must burn you for pulling this dragons tale ,
no one wants to hear your fairy tale, its very frail,
you can speak and speak until your face is pale
but flattering your self with your words is of no avail.
Keep checking your mail because karma is on it way,
I hope you can eat all that is on your tray, and when you
stuffed with your own hatred ,I hope you get on you knees
and pray, not every thing in life can go your way,
didn't history teach you that
dictating,
manipulating,
belittling,
lack of peace making,
heart breaking,
lack of loyalty,
unjust,
disrespect,
neglect,
self indulgence
hatred
lies
and bias
is not the way,
well I am going to teach you today
Adolf hitler ,
Maximilion,
Malcom x,
Martin luther king,
Rosa parks,
Allen Ginsberg,
Jesus Christ,
the little rock nine,
Mahatma Gandhi,
Fredrick Douglas,
Harriet Tubman,
Rodney King,
Elie Wiesel,
Sean Bell,
DOES any of this ring a BELL,
or your self you continue to smell,
are you still under the devils spell,
how DARE you be unjust,
teaching a child like you is a must.
Your whole approach and appearance is stale,
but HEY
I guess you don't see that
because a donkey can't see its tail.

You can paint me white and I will still be black
Turn my ebony black hair, make sure the chemicals
Touch every strand of my hair, erasing all trace of
My pitch black kaffir but I will still be black.
Teach me how to walk, tell me what to wear
You can even show me your version of
Civilisation yet I will still be black .
Teach me your language, let me master
The vocabulary, the pronunciation but remember,
I will still be black
Literature, science, physics,decency...yes yes
Fill that in my head puncture your history in the depths
Of me and feed me with your lies but I will still be black
Tell me I'm wrong for my awareness, threaten me with
Prison and even with my life...yes yes
Persecute me with your words but still I will
Be black no no I will not be a slave nor will
I be less than a human being. My rights
Will be intact and my freedom a shall be won
Because with all you have done, all you think you have
Taught me in your attempt to make me whit..o
During the process of you painting me white!!
I am..I am still black and concious, I am still black
And proud...I am the descendant of that old slave still
That man you would flog all day till there was no more
Flesh left to be torn, the descendant of that wrinkled
Woman you would forcefully penetrate for years on end
I am that young boy, that young girl you stole away from their
Families as though their hearts were just mere illusion
I am black and aware of that man you
Assassinated simply because he cried "freedom"
Steve Biko , Chris Hani, King Albert Luthuli,
MartinLuther King and Malcom X I am
Sure you have heard those names
I am the black daughter of that woman you
Disgraced and twisted.I am black
A black young woman at the peak of her life
Embracing hee struggle felt history
Preparing for the history to be made again
So, even if you paint me white, burn my hair
With your toxins, dress me like a doll
Tell me how to walk, talk, sit and even eat...
I will still be black as I have a free mind.

Elections in Oz
by Robert (Bob) Moore (C) 2016
We’ve got elections coming up, don’t know what to do
Cement Block Bill or Malc the Mouth, neither seems true blue
both parties full of backstabbers, don’t get the man we choose
the backroom boys will do their job, and we’re the ones who lose
First we had our Kevin, then Julia came along
stabbed him and took over, things already going wrong
she complained of sexism, and spent all our dough
then before we knew it, Kevin had another go
Labor promised everything, from Gonsky to N.I.S
paid Gonsky for the first term, no money for the rest
all in forward estimates, from selling all our steel
bottom fell out of the market, those promises were not real
Then Tony Abbott came along,
said that he would right the wrong
which Labor and the Greens had done
but he could not, it was too far gone
He stopped the boats, and the Carbon Tax
but people didn’t want the facts
no money for Gonsky, N.S.I. and other things
but Labor had promised them, and Tony felt the sting
They did not want to listen, and did not want to know
he’d broken promises they said, and so he had to go
Malcom had been waiting, just for this very time
stabbed Tony in the back, and started his own climb
So here we are again, heading for a new election
with no one we can trust, when we make our selection
Bill or Malcom, no good pick, neither has much voice
and polies do not listen, when the people make their choice
We need a PM just for once, who will bring it all together
and a Cabinet to back him, through good, or stormy weather
and after his three years are up, if things have not improved
then let the people vote him out, we’ll have him removed

Charles Manson wanted to start the race war but he died
Malcom X was philosphical in his approach to civil right
Martin Luther King Jr did his amazing thing
Trump wants to build a wall that know it all
but i'm going old school on you to the days of Thomas Jefferson
there was never anny second guessing to what they were professing
our founding fathers stood for freedom but today we see it another way
no one takes the time out to ever bow the knee to pray
Some for the sake of choice kill their innocent in the mothers womb
I'm 47 and it still hurts to clean my room
in borrowed basement rules their stands out a jewel
David Karesh in Waco Texas & Jim Jones in Jones Town
if the constitution should crumble like Fred was with Barney Rubble
Russia is in our scope but Russia couldn't cop
we need to stand for the flag not be the ***
It's our God given right to confide in our senators, legislators & government officials.
Mark the one willing to arise to the occasion and be brave in service to the greatest country USA
look Mark Spitz in the eye for his many gold medals
put the peddle to the metal
if the constitution should crumble at least we have each other
George Washington planted a tree in spite of the mockery
living out his legacy we got fields of hip hop scenes
Kanye West with his bipolar being put to the test
lest I rest in the biggest contest known to man you all understand
It's your God given right to pledge the American flag stand up & be counted
ever since the playing field on Ellis Island to teach us all a lesson start professing
Our dear lady shines brighter ever present on a crystal cool day to parade
in spite of all our differences we could put our faith in action
I'm asking that we come together no matter what the weather
let us stake our claim and treasure the works to surrender
it's in the faint of song or the young fawn on the lawn
the part at which we all belong is the name of that song

A Little Phone Call Malcolm and Donald
by Bob Moore
Hello Donald
That Afro-American President, lived there just before you
agreed to take these Middle Eastern fellers from Naru
they are a bloody handful, getting worser every day
when you gonna send a boat, and take them all away
A deals a deal out here in Oz, even if its dumb
hope you will not renege, we’re still your bestest chum
here in the Southern Hemisphere, and maybe in the world
we help to fight in all your wars, so don’t act like a girl
--
Hello Malcom
I heard about that stupid deal, you did before he left
a swap for some Columbians, you both must be bereft
not sure which of them is worse, but one thing that I know
there’ll be some heavy vetting, before you let them go
Out here we have our own problems, don’t know if you’ve heard
eight years of Pres, Obama, but now the people stirred
they want to make America, the way it used to be
no matter where you come from, settle in, and you’ll be free
So nobody can tell me, what is best for me to do
friendship, begging, threatening, its not all about you
I have a land of willing soles, and if they work with me
we will make America, great again, you’ll see.
Goodbye

My destiny..? is preordained & wont be denied
No matter how many times I fail, I gots to keep on trying!
I know...pressure can bust a pipe, but it also can make a diamond.
Enduring lifes' atrocities...gots me striving & shining.
Shining..?, only to be the best...that I truely can be.
Some talked down...some hated...but mostly?, they disbelieved!
As if I couldn't dream, & turn those dreams into a reality.
A man strenght can only be measured, if he over comes his adversities!
Over achiever?, yes!, cuz luck doesn't apply to me.
Becuz, I could've been a Bookie!, who was eradicated by life complacncies!
Wasn't me, so I chose another path.
But, in order to embrace my future?, I most 1st know my past.
The past of hurt!, destruction!, & drugs!
Some one tell me why?,
when black men get money we profess to be thugs!
Entities..? with out a cause, loving just to momentarily ball!
But, with no stability, it's a long , detrimental, & inevitable fall!
Acrophobia..?, we'll die before we hit ground!
Reflecting on our short comings, only to realize we were the ulimate clown!
Asking God to bless me, so I might be a blessing.
Can't forget where I come from, learning from my trials & tribulations.
Gotta be different!, choose a route that's never been chose.
Can't be of this world, yearning for snatch, cars, & clothes.
But, the road of knowledge, cuz I desire to win!
& sleeping on my dreams?, will be the climax of all my mortal sins!
Introspection...looking deep, only to see the real picture.
Praying to God as I take that 1st step, cuz I refuse to be a wisher.
Cuz, man might not get all that he pays for in life,
but he must pay for all that he gets.
& knowing that life don't give a squat about a brother,
motivates my spirit!
Motivation, desire, & plus with a dream.
knowing i'll over come:,
gots me feeling like Malcom Little & Dr. Martin Luther King!
Becuz, it's mind over matter & if I don't mine,
it shol doesn't matter.
Have you ever seen a brother come from nothing, make something,
& climb his way all the way up that tiresome ladder?
Well, it's a 1st time for every thing, & my gift..?, is truely my mind!
I'm claiming 2008, mark my words...This is My Time!!!

Quintain (English)
Black, I thought it was just a word
I thought it represented a color
At least that’s what they say,
Yet when I walk through the gates of school.
I am seen as insignificant
I am never treated the same
They say , we are equal
But I know better.
I live it, they smile
They say their care
But when I express myself
I use my hands, I speak
They say, I am ignorant hard to understand.
By dozen, by hundreds
We are being excluded
Punish for being just a different color
They meant to be our tutors.
Yet they treat us like animals
They poke us, provoke us
Tell us we are stupid with a smile.
They rob us
They deny us
They curse us
They strip us of our inheritance.
They breathe hate, I stop
I need to think for awhile
Who am I, I am black
I am beautiful
I am powerful
I am the son and daughter of great kings and queens
I am a conqueror.
I am ambitious, I can achieve
I will achieve, I am a leader
I am not a coward nor am I ashamed.
I don’t need violence
I don’t need hate
I don’t need knives nor do I need guns to complete me.
Martin Luther King once said,
Darkness cannot drive out darkness only light can do that
Hate cannot drive out hate only love can do that.
Malcom X once quoted, that without education
You are not going anywhere in this world
If you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything.
So Who am I?
I believe, I am born from a great generation
I am no longer a slave to a lost generation
I am a new generation, a free generation.
A generation that will breathe success
A king of wisdom
A leader of great knowledge
A queen that will teach peace and be an adviser to the young.
A mother to all children
A father to a great nation
I am just a teen
Trying to make sense of the world
So teach me, to believe in me
To be the best I can be.

This is a tribute to those who were themselves
An ode to the incredible minds
Including Hunter S. Thompson and Jim Morrison
Artist born inarguably before their time
This is a write to the rebels
Those who punched authority in the mouth
Bob Marley and Johnny Cash
Belong in this crowd without a doubt
This is an anthem
To those who stand up for their rights
Muhammad Ali, Malcom X, and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
For the Africans led freedoms fight
This is a write
For those who have the voice for the ages
Jerry Garcia, and Jimmy Buffett
Were at their best on the grandest of stages
This is a document
Endowing guitar god immortality
To Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, and Dwayne Allman
Their names shall live long after their fatality
Texas Rock Legends ZZ Top
Belong in the guitar god classification
Well into their sixties
They are still rocking stages for this great nation
Pink Floyd is embraced with love
Symbolizing the envied acid trip generation
Singing mellow songs with an especially deep message
Times tarnished by public misinterpretation
I’ve mentioned few
Of the historic minds I hold dear
Though many were lost before I was born
I still shed symbolic tears
Their messages and combined impact
On the generation in which I belong
Often could only
Be broadcast in song
They vocalized their messages
To impact segregation
They sang songs filled with meaning
Often advocating self medication
Their memories are priceless
Even to those they were never to know
Their impact so important
Such a significant path drove
They lived in controversial times
Experiencing events not known to we of today
All we know
Is what our teachers choose to display
Knowledge may be earned
By studying these priceless minds
Listen to their music, read their messages to the world
For you would be so very surprised
This art is non-existent
In this “Bill Mahr” defined era
Rather than banding together, we point fingers
With women finally able to vote, they only worry about their mascara
The efforts of our former sixties/seventies generations
To change our nation has now been proven to have failed
For the future has shown
Their freedom train was to be inevitably derailed

Bio
It’s like we’re doing them people a favor
Showing them, that we own up to what they say;
Stereo types isn’t the way,
But we as blacks are proving them right..
They believe that we’ll kill eachother before the
Last night,
& all our women
gone fall a victim to the streets,
Weak minded;
Not even having our children anything to eat..
The only good thing we got going for ourself
Is education,
& that aint gone support the whole nation..
Come on nie,
We gotta take stand!
Teach our children how to believe in
Themselves,
Show our mothers that they
Can make it without a man!
Prove to our fathers,
That they’ll regret they
Neglected us!
Tell our brothers the
“Freak” that noise,
& Stop that fuss!
Its like we all against
Eachother,
But it shouldn’t be this way,
We gotta get it together some day;
Them people know what they doing…
Pretending to solve these crimes,
But knowing their using the same line,
Only place they wanna see us is the cemetery,
Hmm..
Or maybe jail?
But if we don’t make there,
Best to believe:
They hoping we on the
High way to hell,
But we gotta prove em’
Wrong,
Its been too long,
Take a stand,
Cause black women don’t need any man,
Children needa believe in themselves,
Fathers should regret the neglect,
& our brothers need to stop the fuss,
I’m trying not to cuss,
But all this frustration just built up
Inside,
Its kinda hard to hide!
Think about it:
Rosa
Parks,
Martin
Luther King,
Malcom X..
& More, fault
For our freedom;
Now we got it,
& we abusing it,
Kinda like our fathers try our mothers,
But that’s a whole other subject,
We gotta get it together
& that’s a bet(:

One of the greatest scholars and speak so clear for a messaging so rugged but his future so clear
Day is his night and sunset be his fright
As human as could be ,it only is right
Marching as a man is all we could see
One turn of his cheek was the ending of me
Untold story we would never could see
The truth about America is Malcom and me.

BREEDS OF LATE LEGENDS
The soul of Bob Marley -
Tap it from the Caribbean reggae.
The ambition of Tupac Shakur -
Immortalize a generational legacy.
The mind of Malcom X -
A monument for all world's activists.
The dream of Martin Luther King -
Still holds the world's ear ransom.
The heroics of Nelson Mandela -
Voyage from apartheid to multiracial democracy.
The greatness of Muhammad Ali -
"Floats like a butterfly & Sting like a bee".
The world need not these monstrous men mountains
But most needing of a breed of our late legends.
