Best Like A Glove Poems

Premium Member Happiness

Happiness calms like a mother's lullaby.
Happiness is fragile like a butterfly.

Happiness is the first daffodil in spring.
Happiness is listening to a nightingale sing.

Happiness is seeing your children succeed.
Happiness is a garden without a weed.

Happiness is seen in those who dance in the rain.
Happiness is the perfect cure to ease your pain.

Happiness is watching sunrise in vibrant hues.
Happiness is a letter bringing good news.

Happiness lies in the arms of the one you love.
Happiness is when your hand holds theirs like a glove.

Happiness is a poem which connects with your heart.
Happiness is being free to express your art.

Happiness is when you make someone smile.
Happiness is free and always worthwhile.

Premium Member Baby's a Star - So Sublime

(Verse One)

My baby's a star, you know
She swims in a sea of suns
Giggles at my balmy puns
That's why I love her
Fits like a glove, her

My baby's a star, you know
She shimmers for the eventide
Always lets my crazies slide
That's why I love her
Yeah, that's why I love ...

(Bridge A)

Her ... eyes ...
I dive deep - dive deep
Her ... eyes ...
My dreams keep - soft sleep

(Chorus)

She's the whisper in my breath
She's the breath within my blood
She's the blood that floods my heart
So sublime

She's the shine within my eyes
She the eyes that pierce my soul
The soul that rends my Heaven
So sublime
She's so sublime

(Verse Two)

My baby's a star, you know
In her bright, commands the sky
She lets my many faults get by
That's why I love her
Set no one above her

My baby's a star, you know
Warms the heavens with her smile
Makes each moment worth my while
That's why I love her
Yeah, that's why I love ...

(Bridge B)

Her ... heart ...
I dive deep - dive deep
Her ... heart ...
Our love's keep - love's leap

(Chorus)

She's the whisper in my breath
She's the breath within my blood
She's the blood that floods my heart
So sublime

She's the shine within my eyes
She the eyes that pierce my soul
The soul that rends my Heaven
So sublime
She's so sublime

Premium Member My Sanctuary Sonnet

I find sanctuary in this sonnet
when as verdant hills rhymes do fall and rise
with aspens quaking in the windless skies.
One such will have blue birds flocking on it.

The trees shall be my muse and bid me write
while I in white gazebo am ensconced
with flowers vased, each color a nuance
in my lyrics, a-blush at first then white.

As I meander through a cloudless dream
the shades ever change in the wake of love.
Each line will fit my lyrics like a glove
while blue birds harmonize in morning's gleam.

Eyes of love are each an estuary
in the sonnet of this sanctuary.

Autumn Afterglow

The fire logs glow, flickering to and fro
in her eyes he sees champagne dreams of love
the soft adagio plays a velvet tune of jazzing blow
right atop the hearth, she's fitted like a glove
Red hair flaming, ruby lips untamed her rubicon
a blush, acclaims her cheeks await the dawn;

Each dancer holds on cue precaution to the wind
style and grace in every move "amour est bleue"
with burning eyes of here, go rescind ,
a love is built on arcs of passion's queue;
Scarlet thoughts roseate skin enflamed a marathon
of amoureuse, bending arching longing one on one ;

Her hair a crayon colored Autumn proffers romance
and all the philharmonic musings of a lovely dream
together they loop meandered agile as a water dance
rushing towards each other skin to skin seam to seam ;
Wine colored kisses taking in a world of bless
garnet hearts of shine never to confess

they once lay dormant in the crook of night
now fired, ready to ignite....

Premium Member Would You Be Proud

Would you be proud,
would you tell me out loud
If you were still on this Earth ?
Would your eyes well with tears,
would you smile and say “ cheers “
would you feel I am someone of worth ?

Would you wrap me up tight in your arms with delight ?
Would you see that I now have a purpose?
Would you now believe
it was so hard to leave my old life that resembled a circus ?

Would your heart swell with love ?
would I fit like a glove
into the family you nurtured ?

Would you tell all your friends ?
would your love never end
now you see that my prospects I furthered ?

I see you in dreams and your face seems to beam with that beauteous light that surrounds you .

I just pray that you see , that there’s lots more to me
than the girl that you left far behind you .

Could you be close by ?
Are you near when I cry
In the wind softly drying my tears ?
Could it be your embrace ?
Is the sun on my face ?
Stroke my arm when I’m facing my fears ?

Would you gift me a sign that you’re hearing my rhyme?
That my words have been able to touch you ?

Every moment I relished,
conversations I cherish.
How I wish I could reach out and clutch you.

Though you have now gone
your wise words linger on,
they’re engraved in my mind now forever.

Through the veil that divides,
This tie will survive.
I’ll not let our bond ever sever.

Its Been a While

It’s been a while
I know your need
I read your smile
The way you breathe
The style you brush
Across my skin
The tone your words
Begin and end
The romantic feel
Of every move
Your manly hands
Our tongue and groove
 It’s been a while
I released my guard
Clinching counter
Viewing yard
You explored
I didn’t flinch
Lips to skin
Inch by inch
We went away
Just us two
you swept me up
And saw it through
Palm to thigh
Thumb caressing
Becoming anxious
You undressed me
One by one
Each button and strap
You, the compass
I, the map
It became too much
For the kitchen
To our bed
You lured me in
 Feeling sexy
It’s been a while
I can’t keep quiet
This night is wild
My bottom lip
Your hot tattoos
I’m ready for you
I’m letting loose
Like a glove
I hold you tight
You push it deeper
To my delight
And when you think
To pull it back
I grasp your hips
And give no slack
Now in sync
Raw and real
I cease to think
Only feel
We journeyed down
That extra mile
Just in time
It’s been a while

Sweet-Er Sensation

Underneath, you above,
Hold me close,like a glove,
You whisper my name,"yes love",
Meant to be,white doves....

You lean forward, I lean back,
You pull my jeans,I lift your top,
You bite your lips,I hit the spot,
We tremble like leaves, and then collapse...

Premium Member Talisman

As I sat on the bed, and opened the box
I fondled the keepsake, in the palm of my hand
It is tied to a youth that I never lost

Often the memories may be callused by time
Some have been polished. Tho' some may be gone
into the reverie, where I cannot climb

Smooth as the dream, that I've kept like a glove,
wrapped tightly in tissue, and precious to hold,
is one little stone of no value, but love

With a glint of the morning, and the blue of the sky
sapphire veins, and gold undertones.
Inside are hints of a story once told
The heat can be captured like a piece of the sun

I remember a day, with a radiant glow
when the ocean was changing, and storms on the way
Thundering sounds, and in-coming waves
that swept us away, to world of our own

It washed up from nowhere, and you reached with your hand
and picked up this keepsake, to put in my own
The memory lingers, re-savored, when found
A stone of no worth, except for the love

There in the sand, as if it were gold
much brighter with colors, than all other stones
A talisman treasure that I'll always own
Shaped smooth by time, and polished by tides
Taking me back to the glint in your eyes

Premium Member She, That Eats Hearts and Worlds

She Eats Hearts and Worlds

In this world life stands still
heartache chokes in for the kill
Sidewalk leaps up to quickly slay
Fools racing all about every day

That pain sets just so damn well
she that strode from the gates of hell
Tarnishing all that gave in love
her sex fits tightly, like a glove

Those nights did so hotly soothe
she the sexy vixen so damn smooth
Always naked and steaming ready to go
no man could resist the sexual show

In her world you gladly die to play
such delights , pure passion every way
Then roofs came loudly crashing down
death came with smiles and no damn frown!

Premium Member Breath of Love

Inhale deeply my breath of love.
Hold it; try not to let it go.
Let it course through you like soul-fire.
Let it enflame you like desire.
Let it enfold you like a glove.

Exhale, and breathe me in again.
Hold me; try not to let me go.
Pull me closer, still closer in;
Until you feel me ‘neath your skin.
Inhale my breath of love again.

Soul Mate

A soul mate is not perfection of shallow attractions
But a love that many read about so unique and rare
Realness that is deep and sincere - a lasting bond
One not sugar coated or glowing with bright light
What a priviledge to know - it would be so profound
To share harmony, such balance - ying and yang
Fitting like a glove with fingers out stretched
Neither held back together encouraged to grow
It's like pen and paper and mind connecting words
Creating a union of mind, body and soul

Premium Member Debbie, My love

I paced placidly along picturesque pathways,
Around the vast verdant valley that led nowhere.
Oh Debbie, my Debbie, disappeared in thin air!
I'll search and I'll search and mutter a prayer,
I texted her and called her, but alas all seemed in vain.

Ah Debbie, my Debbie, I shouted her name.
All echoed back at me. still, I yearn for her love.
I imagined her hot lips, lingering on mine,
Yet she escaped me and flew like a rock dove,
But why, oh why? We fitted like a glove.

The blissful breeze blew through the cottonwoods,
"I'm here! I'm here!" Her voice echoed impulsively,
Elated I searched among the trees near a river.
I saw her there, beneath the willow, seductively.
I ran and hugged her tight, with all our fecundity.

Premium Member Sleep Sneakers

With soft hushed slip-steps
They creep into my being
My sleepy mind preps
For all the things I’m seeing

They are the sleep sneakers
That invade in the night
Restlessness seekers
That dance without the light

The tales of dreary dreams
Show terror, fear or love
But Sleep sneakers seem
To form fit like a glove

There is no themed story
The meanings are unclear
There’s doubt without glory
Just a gnawing fear

Tonight there in my mind
As I settle in my bed
Those sleep sneakers may find
Dreams hidden in my head

Premium Member Silence Befalls This Home Now

Looking through the bookshelves, a homemade book, he chose
Found trapped within the pages he came upon a faded red rose

Flatten down with care now faded in colour, more so in its scent
Memories such of a time, so long ago that to himself only it lent

It came from a happy home; a home, cherished made with love
Every crevice packed with loving items, as fitting all like a glove

With a garden full of noises with songbirds they did forever sing
On these evenings roll calls scents from the flowers so often ling

All crafted; by a man to perfection, all made to the one he loved
Not once another person, nor idol to his wife, did ever set above

There was nothing he wouldn’t do; to him it was a toll well spent
To share with his fair maiden; who was to him, truly heaven sent

Their home a range of seductive aromas as a good woman baked
As scents of fresh green grass cut that he meaningful then raked

A garden, and a home once filled with laughter as children galore
With a hollow sadness, wasn't that some sixty-five years or more

Silence befalls this home, now except for, the creaking of the gate
No more idle down songbirds as the evening now draws to its fate

The old man; now restful in his chair, the book between his hands
Memories as forgotten now remembered he now fully understands

His weary sunken eyes slowly closing; are about to open no more
Over the rooftops, and, beyond the chestnut trees his spirit soars

No more idle down songbirds as the evening now draws to its fate
Silence befalls this home, now except for, the creaking of the gate
