Premium Member The Forest

"What happens in the forest stays in the forest"

The trees are trimmed,
The leaves on the ground
Proposing passion, sweet mist
Naked with nothing to bare or wear
Nature's breath lightens the atmosphere
She breathes in, he breathes out
The auditory sensation of rain
   - drums down and deepens
The course is near its end,
Deep in this forest night
A Gentleman among the trees,
Hibernating new seeds

"On the other side of the forest"
He guides a path, with ebony eyes
A convincing vent, I accept
The fear is broken, I sleep in glee
The whispers disappear
Drying in peace by the secret bayou
Broad leaves lay under raw landscape
Lulled by the chills he quills
A quarter past midnight
Mr Romantic
   - prepares the new sheets of Winter.

Premium Member Caress My Soul Sweet Poet

Love's tend'rest touch, your gentle words reveal
Caress my soul. sweet poet, with your verse
Write dulcet lullabies which make me feel
Secure, like infants held at breast to nurse

Turn tears of sadness into peaceful streams
Make whispered breezes whisk my strife away
Put passion in my fantasized daydreams
Paint troubles in to flowery bouquets

And even though I know they're not for me
I steal your soothing love just like a thief
This load I carry lightens suddenly
Because my broken heart has found relief

Your words are like a song, please sing to me
Sweet poet, how I love your poetry

Splash of Black

Jesus Savior...Pilot Me from walkinginsunlight.com

Across the blackest waters
ripples of pain,
swell into an anguish splashing
against the blackest shore,
and in the rustling of brittle leaves
from the shadows of tallest trees,
the darkness beckons me
     to climb aboard, climb aboard,
                     an empty boat waiting
                           upon the blackest shore.

Through depths of night, I ride atop
the black of cavernous waves.
They seem to be a hollow echo
calling out my name
from the splashing of the oars
to the splashing of my pain
against the rocking boat
                    in the blackening of waves.

Across the water, I stir the black
                                    and do not feel afraid,
but wonder if the water knows it holds
my every pain
             my every shame
                         and every tear
cried out on my darkest days.

Then, from the other side, I hear the splash
of steady rain.
The purging from above seems to calm
my darkest pain.

I dip the oars deeper still
to head for waiting shores,
and from the water's floor,
                        bubbling, rising
                             more and more,
I hear the splashing,
                          splashing
of my own resounding laughter.
Then, a calm lightens my struggle
as the sunrise pales
           my dark disasters,

and in the glare of morning
from bright sunbeams above,
I remember with a prayer,
I am loved.
      I am loved
            I am loved.

Premium Member Gentle Summer Rain

She writes about Fall's beauty in the rain
The falling raindrops' dance ascribing thence
Bespoken verse that lightens her refrain
before the time they met - her steps commence.

She listens to the soft and rhythmic thrum,
her love turned to escape and cloudy string
Where nimbus mistletoe fell, tears to become
Their kiss of Autumn was symbolic ring.

The first light cotton mists with summer rays
While skyward cheerful laughs adorn the land,
their ceremonial dance diffuses grays,
affectionate embrace, where dreams expand.

Upon September's sky the raindrops gleam
With half of hidden Sun to laugh and beam.

Premium Member Hope Is My Anchor

Hope is the anchor that secures my soul
Needed for endurance as the Bible foretold
One of three qualities, along with faith and love
I am filled with hope to honor my Holy Father above

Hope in God's promises lightens my heavy load
It's instilled in me when I venture down a dark road
Hope has power to keep me moving in the right direction
And there I will find the mercy and love of God's protection

Hope is a means of trusting in what will be
Faith in the unseen; that is what hope means to me
Life without it fences me inside a brick wall without a gate
I believe in the Word of God; I do not adhere to destiny or fate

Premium Member Spring Has Sprung

All around our hedgerows and gardens
Buds are forming bringing brilliant
Colour into our lives where previously
Dreary winter darkness lurked.
Everywhere new life is forming
Fields are bouncing with spring lambs
Gamboling about with their friends.
Hyacinths sensational scent fills the air
I simply love this time of year
Just bursting with new life
Knowing that spring is finally here
Lightens my spirits and
Makes me smile
Nesting birds collect food for fledglings
Only pausing for tiny breaks. They are
Perfect parents who work tirelessly
Quietly and lovingly
Raising their beautiful brood who are
Soon to leave the nest
Trees become dressed in gorgeous green
Until they are fully clothed
Verdant vegetation covers the land
With new crops growing
Xanthic coloured daffodils
Yearn for spring sunshine and merrily they
Zigzag in the warm winds

Premium Member To Isolde, a Gift - If Only You'll Be Mine

You asked me for a dance one night, ’twas late one New Year’s Eve,
and as I held you in my arms, your shape did wend and weave;
a sudden kiss as midnight struck (I thought it make believe) -
for stars and kismet ruled with zeal our lives would interleave.

I give to you the morning sun to dance within your smile
a flower wild amongst the stones upon a rocky isle
with hidden paths in ancient woods where we can walk awhile.

You lead me by the hand through nights into the waking days,
through swinging gates in mirrored walls and through the midnight haze,
through castles built in sandbox realms in children’s yesterdays.

I give to you a ragged doll, a puppet on a string,
a ride upon a rocking horse, a swallow on the wing,
a ribbon trailing from your hair, a red or scarlet thing.

You whisk me from a valley deep wherein a black wind blows,
and tracks upon the empty trails are hidden by the snows,
to share with me your secret thoughts and steal away my woes.

I give to you a silver flute, a whistle on a chain,
a drummer boy with dancing feet, a sugar candy cane,
a window flushed with foolish tears mid pitter-patter rain.

You lead me from entangled streets inside a circus town,
subduing smoky memories that haunt this wistful clown
by quelling plaintive melodies and sorrows that they sound.

I give to you a penny plain to cast upon a dream,
a streaking star inside the sky, a bridge across a stream,
a teddy bear with tattered ears and berries dipped in cream.

You show me how a rainbow lightens distant liquid lands,
where dew drops paint the purple leaves deserted on the sands
on roads of simple wonderment within your slender hands.

I give to you in winter’s chill my ragged scarf of thread,
a dripping ball of candle wax on fire blazing red,
and offer you this smitten rhymer’s loving arms in bed.

You spin me tales of laughter, yes, of laughter on a spree,
of laughter restless in the sky, of laughter running free,
of laughter dancing, skipping wildly far beyond the sea.

I give to you these careless words, arrayed in broken lines,
adorned, my love, with tempest winds and teardrop salty brine,
in cups of youthful passion steeped in desolation wine,
and promise I’m forever yours... if only you’ll be mine.

Your warm touch turns me a blossoming flower
Your love lit eyes hold the depth of an ocean
Your presence, a soft caress in my bower
May I stay by you in endless devotion.
Through trials of life, you stand like a tower.
In life, you’re careful to proceed with caution.
With daring, you face the challenges of life.
Happy and contented I am as your wife.

With each passing year, our love steadily grows.
With every breath, our intimacy strengthens.
My dear, in your company, I feel so close
Even in darkness, our love blooms and brightens.
Life, through trials and joy, like a river, flows.
When you are by my side, my burden lightens.
You are not just my partner, but my close friend.
All I wish is that our deep love should not end.

Waiting For Light

She waits...

at that spot he promised to reach...

When the dark blue and grey sky
Lightens up to pink and pearl grey
At the moment, just before dawn

Under the huge mango tree
Besides the splendid sunflower garden
She waits for him...
With hope...

The young bright golden sunflowers
In the garden
With beautiful brilliant yellow petals
And dark tiny florets in the middle
Their vibrant faces swinging
With slow dainty movements
Towards east
Waiting
Anticipating
The arrival of 'light'
The golden glorious 'sun'
For its dazzling rays of 'hope'

As the golden ball ascends
At the crack of dawn
The magical sky radiates
Hues of yellow, orange and red
And a silhouette of birds
Fly against the gorgeous sun

At the sight of the mighty sun
The sunflowers gracefully glow,
Swaying gently
To bask in it's glow and warmth

Under the tall mango tree
Hoping to see the 'light' of her life...
She still waits...

Modern Marketing, a Sonnet

Oh heavy heart these PR men in power
Yellow waxen masks reciting lies
Discovered by research in college towers
Who watch flashing brains in MRIs
Recording as fear lightens lobes
Word and images recorded and sold by drones
For use by corporate men round the globe
Control both CEOs and worker clones
Yet life's free forces flow in city and town
For through the dark. forces strive to transcend
As ever bruised and bloodied onward bound
Through a jumble of fears passes the path of men

The Beauty of It All

Pure beauty is eternal bliss.
It permeates our existence
And lightens a burdened soul.
The most beautiful thing is love
(Without judgment or assumption)
Fostering acceptance that—
Nourishes the famished
And empowers the meek.

Aesthetics make a pleasing world
They personify lasting trends,
Stimulate creative minds,
And entertain world consciousness.
Delight embraces desire,
Passionate words inspire,
Art refutes retire,
All get to admire.

To be of beautiful spirit
Unleashes outward radiance--
A gratifying notion
To be of a beautiful mind
Fetches cognitive recognition--
An honorary triumph
Loving your own beauty
Transcends all other thought.

Premium Member Doll With Wings

Porcelain doll hangs on shadows and wings
Of twilight’s frame. Guarding an autumn child,
The toy lightens ink of stenciled dusk
As her enamel fingers gleam like candles...
Yellow the stars where she comes from
robed in fine lace . Through heaven’s print
An angel in disguise bestows love, as
Porcelain doll hangs on shadows and wings

The Beauty of Butterflies

Blooms and butterflies are a poet's delight,
For his sore eyes so soothing a sight,
Like mellifluous music melting his restless mind.

The brilliant blend of yellow and orange,
Brightens the day and lightens the mood.
They dance delicate on dainty dandelions,
Wings with patterns of pink and purple,
And with colours of crimson and white.

Those little luminous iridescent blue ones
Found on tree tops and tree stumps -
To a child's eyes they look like
Winged blue blooms of Morning Glory.
And the ones that flutter their freckled wings,
Black with tints of gorgeous golden green,
Are the perfect pictures of a pleasant day.

They bask in the sun spreading their wings,
And their radiance kindles grace and peace.

Loss carried with strength.
Loss that goes on through out his life.
He will never put it down..
It lingers like her perfume.

A fine heart, important to his friends.
Able to write words that grab the soul
And wont let go.

A sense of humor..a word or phrase
That brings a smile and lightens
The load for a moment.

A man with a gift for teaching
his craft. Gaining respect, admiration
And love from his students.

Pride in knowing that he is more than a friend
And that he has gained the respect of his peers
here on the soup.

Pride of India

Dancing vibrant hues
Blink in shades of blue
Peafowl, A majestic bird
Our nation's pride

Peacock - Pride of India

All are welcome, yeah!!!

Yellow sturdy physique
On glimpsing him, the forest shrieks
Bright black stripes on body regal
Stands the royal bengal tiger

Tiger - Pride of India

 All are welcome, yeah!!!

Smirking amidst the fecund pond
Pink beauty lotus lightens the land
To glance her in the morning,
Arises the sun gleaming

Lotus - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
 All are welcome, yeah!!!

A lofty banyan tree
deepens its roots free
Broadens its spiritual hereditary
Coerces to confront the world contemporary

Banyan - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!

Camaflouged with dry leaves
A dry leaf butterfly make us perceive
Don't judge by the veneer
Orange butterfly our seer

Oak leaf - Pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
 All are welcome, yeah!!!

Our mother earth, the queen
Dons the elegant dress in green
And the blue crown forever
And so our place is prosperous ever

Ever friendly weather - Pride of India

Like different euphoric rivers
Accumulating minerals and deliver
We travel in a path discrete
But at the same sea we meet

With diverse faith and believes
With the varied swaying leaves
We still shine with glee
As we affixed to a single big tree
Named India

Diversities - The pride of India
Come, visit and enjoy
All are welcome, yeah!!!
