Premium Member What Is Friendship ---- POTD ----

friendship can be great
looking when will I find you
will that be today
are you now looking for me
will our search go on and on

there you stood looking
oh you came out of no where
what a big surprise
our friendship is a flower
fun and laughs are everywhere

our fun and laughs turn
it all goes so very wrong
hurt and pain from words
tears running like a river
why did our friendship go bad

A World of Laughs

Look around,embrace life,smile,
Even if it's only once in a while,
Gods' world,acres of entertainment,
Learn to laugh,enjoy your environment,
Umbrellas out,the birds are soaring,
Two parrots pecking,so adoring,
The king of water, angry river roaring,
Water racing each other,raindrops pouring,
Snake shaking his rattler, rumba girls luring,
Woodpecker sharing knock, knock jokes, ohh so boring,
Visa-card in his poach,kangaroo touring,
Owl seeking more wisdom, bird brain storing,
More hay over here,horses neighing,
Green,green pastures,the donkeys are braying,
Twenty four-sevens,happy hens are laying,
Do you catch the drift,of what I'm saying,
Now open your eyes, see what I'm talking about,
Hope it put a smile on your face,
Or pulled a laugh from your mouth....

THE DUMB BLONDE

Our dumb blonde leader is a total buffoon
Living in cloud cuckoo land in his cocoon
His party's starved our N. H. S.
Now the country is in a mess
Thinks the flu virus will be over real soon...

OUR CRACKPOT GOVERNMENT

They wanted to create herd immunity
Run covid - 19 through our community
Now that's a war crime
They should all do time
Par for the course, they'd all get impunity...

(ON A LIGHTER Note)

TIMMMY MCGEE

There was an old man called Timmy McGee
Every day he'd drink a gallon of tea
One night forgot to do
His business on the loo
He woke up floating next morning in pee...

HAPPY BUCK

There was an old man known as Happy Buck
Loved loud music but he ran out of luck
Had earphones in each ear
Poor old Buck didn't hear
Approaching sound of a thirty ton truck...

JED THE KEEPER

At the zoo a big cat keeper called Jed
Instead of meat tried to give them stale bread
They roared in defiance
Poor Jed lost his balance
One saw his chance and bit off his head...

BILLY GILL

The dumb outlaws led by Billy Joe Gill
Bank and train robbery they had no skill
They tried to leave town
But they were tracked down
Now they all lie in a plot on Boot Hill...

Pot-poetry

We've had many laughs in PoetrySoup
That lift weary hearts when they start to droop
Laughters a freebie
A sure guarantee
Sup from the soup and enjoy a good whoop.

Laughters infectious, it flows oversea
Different nations writing poetry
Yet all in one pot
The pot holds a lot
Pot-poetry full of variety.

Daisy Chains and Laughs

Sitting opposite one another atop elateds springtide shore; the moon trickling down
These beams of light and messaline the ribbon within, her flowing red hair; flames...
Redolent this moment, as bare aneath the stars a thrashing in our heart's; melodies
Crashing their waves while my love she claims; certitudes velvet kisses; silken charm
The magic amid her touch; spellbinding, beating drums and raging waters pounding
Upon ecstasies reef; deep inside lost within her eyes; ecliptic oceans tides; orgasmic

Morose feelings do sashay
Take with you those clouds away

Beckon sunshine through the day
  No sad thoughts allowed today

All fun tidings do convey
Naught but belly laughs all day

It seems it can think
And does things with its ink

Premium Member She Laughs At Critics

I once knew a poet named Broken Wings,
And onto comments sweet and nice, she clings;

At times, some meanness visits,
She just laughs at those critics,

Because she wins, and her poetry sings !

Love Laughs

Love laughs at each and all
As with the heart it plays
Entreating you to fall
In subtle succinct ways

The whisper in the ear
That little nothingness
Sly messages unclear
Invade the subconscious

It uses every ruse
In its little book
Leaves you vital clues
Entices you to look

You like what you are seeing
The way it makes you feel
It brings you into being
Even if unreal

You see the sideways glance
You catch the sultry stare
As purposeful as chance
Love laughs and begs you dare

A word seems out of place
Instinctively you trust
You know you should not chase
But then you know you must

You think you’ve seen it all
You think you’re to mature
Yet still it does enthral
You can’t resist the lure

Once you’re on the hook
You bow to each demand
Love laughs at its good luck
Has you, at its command

And there is no escape
Even for the strong
For it, encapsulates
All… for which you long.

Premium Member When Peg Laughs Like Liz

When Peg laughs like Liz
deep woman-hearted laugh
eating beef jerky on Mesa Verde

the good hearts and smarts of women
come back to me, not guessing
any better than they at the time what love

meant, leaving them behind in sandstone time
going to my own cement, sandstone
or good mountain grave

having seen the sharp-shinned and sparrow
hawk flying and at rest, not at peace,
seeking prey from a ponderosa snag.

I left my woman behind to float
alone down the long canyon for feathers
and signs, she's making camp

the moon half full, the sun half high
sky full of planets birds and stars
I look up from the rocks

elements
housekeeping, thinking
love that's learned to love

from earlier loves
laughs remembered, heard
in the laugh of the woman who is my wife.

Ah-Choo!...Just For Laughs!

There once was a man who took issue
With using his sleeve as a tissue
Handkerchiefs hadn't any
And head colds too many
Could not blow his schnoz if he wished to!

All the Laughs and Cries

All the laughs and smiles ...
All the tears and lies ...
Those are what makes us alive ...
All the love we share ...
When we use to really care ...
Those are what makes us survive ...
But now it's gone, we have ain't nothing ...
When I look to the past and see what we've become, I found it stunning ...
Why we're losing our love war ?
Didn't we have enough , why you still want more?
Can't you see that we're bleeding?
And our pride is what we're feeding ...
So all the laughs and cries ...
All your faking smiles ...
Those are what makes me hate you ...
All the pain and tears ...
Through my life years ...
Those are what makes me hate you ...
You've chose to live alone ...
With a heart made of Stone ...
That it can't feel a thing ...
You chose to live a lie ...
To never say goodbye ...
So now hear me sing ...
All the laughs and tears ...
I'll make them disappear ...
Cause, I'm stronger than ever ...
All the wounds that ain't gonna heal ...
Every moment of pain you've made me feel ...
I'll make it disappear ...
I don't need a cover ...

God Laughs
