An R-Rated Limerick For Laughs

The encoding quill of most men
Will publish sometimes and again
It seems it can think
And does things with its ink
A pen_is is almost a pen

It's even more strange in view of the language of this year's political campaign. What a strange world we live in.

What is funny is that the same things come up over and over again due to the quirks in our language. That is a funny story--wish I was there at that moment. I very much appreciate the story. There are undertones everywhere which you pick up on so skillfully in your work!

G'day Duke ... I recall many, many years ago a teacher wrote on a blackboard with chalk - a pen is - but didn't leave a big enough gap so the class wits picked up on it quick smart - thanks for the giggle Duke - Lindsay

We do have our pen! All the word choices we have to make are complex, and we leave a trail. I only hope that it is not destructive. The things we might come up with can be a little scary. Life is one big show of a list of inspiring items in the poet's mind . I appreciate the visit and wish you well. You are one of the gems in this place.

There must be a story behind how these various things got named. Your comments are very much appreciated always. Are you still providing counseling? If so, I imagine that the people on the other side are very fortunate. Best to you and your family. Keep in touch!

It came to me due to the peculiarities of our language. Words are funny all by themselves, and you are very kind!

I don't know if I can think about penmanship the same way ever! Sex impinges on so much of what some of us think about. I guess it is because we evolved with it. Many hugs to you.

Oh man, Duke! Got me laughing with this one. Nicely done!! Love your conclusion, saw something coming, of course, but still... hilarious all the same. Your comments are always treasured by the way. Thank you for the sweet words. Write on! Always, Laura

You have predictive qualities (smart)! There are connections we have to make just based on the strange interactions in language. Life can be funny. Best wishes to you!

Yes, John is very funny. Language is funny--similar roots and similar things for different purposes. We live in a very strange (but wonderful) universe.

John, right-on. I had done an item on the other sex, so I thought I needed to do this just to be fair--but I know what you mean.

Jan, I even had to restrain myself a bit to keep it under control. Could have said some things, but less is more. Thanks for being so cool!!
