White Angels, Glowing Lamps
When the wind blows,
down from the great north,
it brings a mighty frost.
Do not be afraid.
Just because something,
makes you tremble,
does not give it the right…
to win.
Stand tall, all who guard the gate.
Do not look away.
The past is coming to call.
It is trying to get back what it has lost.
It is trying to take back what you will not give.
Do not let it, do not let it live again.
You, I, me, we…
climbed out,
climbed off ,
this far from the top step…
of deaths door.
An angel in the night,
saved…
Sirens
and people,
names and faces,
now forgotten.
bags of cut up clothes…
thrown away.
Yet the one… the one that prayed.
White hospitals,
full of needles,
Clean, fresh sheets.
A dirty and sad heart,
given a second chance,
by a stranger,
a man on the street.
Someone.
that took a moment,
to make sure,
You, I, me, we
were still alive.

You kindle the lamps
Little earthen bowls
Holding circles of mustard oil
Wicks like snouts of desire
The sober flame radiating rosy heat
Smell of ripened wheat
I get my book
Under the leaves of the light
Words snuggling in delight
The dissolving nights recede
Your pent-up poems, all freed
You become the words
Swords disappear
Mightier pen gets prepared
The lamps in the corners
In triangles and tweets
Light on the lips of darkness
Salvador Dali
It is poetry of Diwali
Smileys hovering in the air
Scented light from your hair
You kindle the lamps
Taking light
From my candle-hand
Blushing eyes command
Compelling lamps

February 9 Faith in God Bible Meditations Based on Leviticus 24-25
Key Verse – Leviticus 24:4 He shall order the lamps upon the pure candlestick before the LORD continually.
FAITH IN GOD WHO LIGHTS OUR LAMPS CONTINUALLY
God lights our lamps continually as we obey His commandments…
So privileged are we to go forward by faith against impediments
Since He calls us to march upward toward holy encampments
With His leadership upholding our obedience-propelled accomplishments.
God lights our lamps continually as we pitch upon His standard…
So blessed are we to follow Him by faith, our Captain and Guard
Since He sets us in His service-vineyard
With His orders directing us, every steward.
God lights our lamps continually as we stay in His holiness’ rank…
So joyful are we to remain by faith along righteousness-bank
Since He keeps us in His love, and Him we sincerely thank
With His sanctification according to His Word, divinely frank.
God lights our lamps continually as we praise His majestic name…
So grateful are we to be consecrated by faith along His ministry’s flame
Since He brings us into His watchfulness we can proclaim
With His instructions charging us to trust His promises we can claim.
God lights our lamps continually as we testify about His goodness…
So humbled are we to receive by faith His provisions’ bountifulness
Since He supplies us to share His gifts of graciousness
With His care nurturing us midst lovingkindness.
God lights our lamps continually as we work in His tabernacle…
So awed are we to witness by faith His might and miracle
Since He strengthens us to be vessels of honour by prayer-buckle
With His hand propping our labour we willingly tackle.
God lights our lamps continually as we live for His glory…
So excited are we to declare by faith His Gospel story
Since He exhorts us by His Word preached in His sanctuary
With His vision guiding our mission toward victory.

Winking on before the stars
These little airborne lamps
Endowed my neighbourhood
As my wide grey eyes feel good
I must stop and stare
As electric insects appear
No one can take this view from me
As long as my eyes can see
Dancing in their flights
Guided by several lights
Every dawn must die
As they skillfully fly
From the beetle family
With a light-based vocabulary
Giving a lovely glow
And a call and response show
See their lower abdomen
Several lights for men
Yellow, green and orange light
Chasing out darkness at night
Observe the cold light
Has it any heat?
Very few ultraviolet rays
Useful in many ways
O! miniature lightening bugs
Let scientist give you hugs
For they've learnt from thee
As we all could see
Thomas Edison became envious
Is his bulb a match for yours?
Heavy electric bills today
Firefly, I need thy ray
Have you ever seen a firefly? If you haven't, please strive to see in their darkness flight.I advise you check your electric bills today and think of what these small creatures can offer.

Tiffany lamps
were invented by
girls in 1888,
to soften the walls
of quiet parlors
where men were
hushed and sat
politely with hands
between their knees.
.
The grace was
stolen in 1992 when
the symbols of New York
Jets replaced the flowers
and Tiffany
lighted laughter
on the bars
where trumpets blare.
*I recently started a home job of ghost writing little articles
for company blogs and promotions.
I made a poem from one of the essays about Tiffany sports lamps.

It is the light
From a man's heart
Reflected by women,
Sensing every part.
It is the zenith
Energizing every limb
But be careful
Gluttony is a sin.
It is the soul of men
Loving glow of women
Made to glow
By the hands of the Almighty.
It is women galore
Partaking of splendor
Like full moon's glow
We were made to shine.
It is mere reflection
Charted by the divine
So, if men should fail us
Simmer, ponder on God's gift to us.

Revelation Lamps
Morning light peaks through the trees
Scents of heather wakens with a new day
Crisp air has beaded the dew upon the leaves
A hollow tree trunk is used for hide and seeks
A burst of sun warms the clearing well
Bouncing off the lake as natures school bell
The grass is evergreen soft and so plush
Wonders never touched by a hand that rushed
Raspberry vines bulge with ripened fruit
Blue orchids cover the ground like a new suit
Tall devout oaks cast shadow hats over the sand
Her face is the land caressed by the master’s hand
These are moments when
The oil lamp never dims
Until we birth what has
Been born within

Keep the Lamps Burning
(Mathew 25:1-13)
Where will you be when I come back?
Oh! Where will I find you then?
What kind of time have you been spending?
Are you ready to see me again?
When the millennia’s have
Burned through the decades
And the years have tasted the day
When the hours have burned through the minutes
In what state will I find you that day?
When I come through your door,
Will I find you kneeling, praying?
Will I walk in and find you asleep?
Will you be zoned out on Netflix?
High on dope or smoking some weed?
Will you be tucking your kids in at bed time?
And teaching them just how to pray?
Will you be screaming at then because they failed you?
Or will you be teaching them all of my ways?
Will you be throwing dishes at your husband?
Or silently avoiding your wife?
Will you be tweeting or scrolling on Facebook?
Or will you be saving a life?
Will you be holding some ones who crying?
Wiping away somebody’s tears?
Will you be feeding those who are starving?
Or will you be frozen in fear?
Will I find you alone in bed crying?
Believing I would never return?
Will you be raging at me with your lips closed?
Or will you be filing the lamp with oil to burn?
Have you forgotten the first time I Loved you?
Have you pulled away from me so far?
That all the roads I gave you to travel,
Took you that from my heart?
I gave you all that I have because I love you!
My heart, my mind, my blood!
I told you I would never forsake you,
I trusted that you understood!
All your deepest secrets and your sweetest dreams
Your tears, I have counted them each!
And I held you in the darkest pain,
Oh! My child I have loved you so deep!
I gave you all of my knowledge
I taught you all of my ways
You had but to call on me!
And Love me all of these days!
For, I am looking now all over the Globe
Preparing to come to your door!
And how will I find you waiting?
As in Love as you were before?
My Father is ordering the Trumpets be cleaned
The Mighty Angels are getting in line
The Horses hooves are stomping
You must stop wasting time!
I am coming for my Bride!
Oh! How will I find you waiting?
With each precious moment flitting away?
Please keep the lamps burning brightly,
Oh! How I long to find you that way!

My words are frail, like the pale souls of the night to light which they seep - tenderly fragile - -
as though they may weep if not well received,
as though his response may burn - like fire to cloth, into my temple,
and his eyes cause such unease.
But if only to stay
and soak in the charming ways of his lips,
then perhaps not too far from the light i may stray,
and through the night, in the dim light may we meet in a chased glimpse.

Villanelle : Lodged in our cockles Aladdin lamps hum
Lodged in our cockles Aladdin lamps hum
Always to heart stings awakened to soothe
That in lost coves and caves melodious strum
When in dark lonesome nights owl hoots knock glum
None to hear silent sobs shut in tight booth
Lodged in our cockles Aladdin lamps hum
Some bounceable dame caught in a doldrum
Each secret finger on the Djinn’s sharp tooth
That in lost coves and caves melodious strum
Some invoke the lordly prince staid and glum
And make him slave to every wish in truth
Lodged in our cockles Aladdin lamps hum
If this right to steal some solace and plum
Were this not a gift from high above a truth
That in lost coves and caves melodious strum
How right we then all the fanfare and drum
For those few well-bred and armed to the tooth
Lodged in our cockles Aladdin lamps hum
That in lost coves and caves melodious strum

LAMPS
in a room full of wine bottled peagreen lamps
velvet cushions of blood pillow tramps
liquidised assorted pots
constellation drops
sanity
stops
vanity
landing dark red clots
a fresh new beating life stops
as life seeps into dark soggy damps
in a room full of wine bottled peagreen lamps

Valentine sweethearts Lacy and Don
Sing about how their lights go out and on
Neighbors can hear them singing out on the lawn
That shaded couple, Lacy and Don
They look like lamps a shrimpy guy said.
Oh course they are agreed Shawn and Ned
What are lamps? Asked Goldie Shed.
You know, don’t you? Asked a clover bed.
They tried to get opinions from a Don Juan.
He was trying to sneak to the Comic-Con.
I distracted myself with a flashy baton.
Not wanting to talk trash about Lacy or Don.

When I take long walks at night, the streets are lit.
Tonight the night will be orange as if we are always celebrating Halloween,
feeling like whiskey with each paced breathe.
I stare at houses each time I walk, to see what may take place.
I’ve seen a woman yell,
a birthday party sing, young man smoke, a dog howl,
and a cat stare back.
Though faithfully some nights are different. I stroll through a different road, when the street is split by a stretch of grass and trees directly in the middle. Here I have my hands in my pocket.
My jeans are worn as any member of todays middle class, and my eyes are wide for what ever may be at night. My jacket will by a small crinkle through the dark of the night, often because I’m cold.
This walkway stops for where cars may cross, and begins not twenty-five feet later.
A car will roll by on one side, and another on the other, and I will not stray from the middle.
I walk to imagine what may happens in a lit night. But here I find the houses are getting darker, shade is coming over. My watching self continues on the middle path.
A porch light may flicker and a deer may wander by, but I remain in a place where I can think.
The houses get darker once more. How these street lights remain to let me see in this venturous walk; all that lurks within the night.
What a place to get away, out the door, away from solitude.
How silent everything is, with this still night. Though how these houses have become a canvas to my walk. Black smudges, creeping along side.
The windows remain empty, though I do not fray from the middle path.
I do not question beyond my lit path.
But now that I can no longer see those who live aside my walks,
do they watch?
Do they know?
Who truly walks through the dark?
