Premium Member A Playful Muse

 A palette of the mind,
Crayola colors now entwine
and symmetry thus unwinds
life is never color-blind.

Dreaming seas of abstract bliss,
waves of chromatic kinesis;
I would be, oh so remiss,
if inspiration, I dismissed.

As I awaken and grab a brush,
muse I never dare to hush,
to paint and easel, I do rush;
and allow her joys to gush.

Such elation she bestows,
as pigmentation begins to flow,
as if she’s dining on gateau,
dream-images emboldened glow.

A Duck's Dilemma

Sometimes I feel like a duck out of water,
The greener grass is the water when I fly
And the water when I am natant.

My feathers equally ambivalent
My brain benevolently beset
The curious quandary belied by the placidity of this
Mirror in which I repose and reflect.

Mywondrous will so disposed to inertia
That I am quite averse to aviation
But the mere kinesis of flight
Prods my psyche to that profound euphoria.

And then looms that not-so-ugly duckling
To whom I am devilishly drawn.
What manner of urgency beckons me?
What end do I seek?
Why is this predisposition so prevalent?
Who is that pricks my pique and piques my prick?
When will I no longer feel such, such, such ... love?
And where is that Nirvana?
I feel like the centipede that forgot how to run.

Is there no outcome to this conundrum?
No resolution to this pregnant poser?
Too many options spoil my perspective
And I cannot compute the consequences.
To seek is not to have lost.
To seek is the eternal evidence of Life
As life is evidence of the eternal.

Enough is enough of this seriousness
Back to the sillies where I belong
Here's something to ponder, my friends
Why is the word 'abbreviation' so long

I don't usually have to think twice
Before giving it a second thought
You're schizophrenic? That makes four of us
Skydiving is good to the last drop

Have you heard that gravity is a myth
In reality, it's the Earth that sucks
Did you know old people have a secret
That secret is known as luck

You know you have a small apartment
When Kellogg's Coco Pops echo
Maybe our world is another planet's hell
Sure wouldn't surprise me to know

Why do psychics have to ask you your name
Going to live forever... so far so good
I adore you more than beans and rice
If I could love you more I would

They say, hard work pays off in the future
I say, laziness pays off now
Some sage advice, never ever stand close
To the back end of a cow

All those who believe in psycho kinesis
Will you please raise my hand
People usually wind up in a prone position
While involved in a one night STAND

What happens if you get scared to death twice
What do sheep count to help them sleep
Ever wonder why all blackboards are green
Do birds shake wings when they greet

The Baywatcher

The Baywatcher

Her hair trembles
In the breeze, carried away
My friend, she sits there every
day
Through the window, ocean bay
Black hair in a ponytail
In her small hands a turquoise
sail
So blue is the sky
It is joyful energy
Just as waves move
In kinesis. Sand bitten, seas
steal
A luscious sandwich meal!
Thoughts chewed along the
edges
Just as she bites her lips
While sitting by the window sill
Does she see her father, still
Swimming in the sea?
Like he told her once before
In water, man is truly free
She's not a swimmer, my friend
So don't close the window
She likes to sit by there
And watch the ocean style
The beach; in sine
Till her damaged thoughts align
And she can turn around, and
smile
And be my friend once more

For tonight's a stormy night
She'll close her eyes
When others fall asleep
That's when she cries
And I'll lead her, hand in hand
To the window sill
Sit by her and watch the seas
Until the tears don't spill
Desperate to lose herself
She'll bask in the waves
Let the water wash the pain
I know I'll never stave

Premium Member World Music in Dulcet Tones and Duduk Vibrations

Across the globe, music ascends—a universal zephyr,
Bridging cultures in harmonious yearning;
Chords converge from Andes to the Zangezur, xenharmonic,
Dulcet tones of a duduk—in the air, they whisper.

Every note—an echo of humanity's vibration,
From flamenco's fire to the finesse of a cello's undulation;
Gamelan's gongs—a gamut of sounds' timbre,
Harmonium's hum—hearts and spirits, it serenades.

In India where the sitar intricately resonates
Juxtaposed with jazz as New Orleans quavers;
Kora's strings kiss the breeze as Africa pulses.
Lyrics leap across lands—in mosaic form, it oscillates.

Marimba's mallets are on wooden keys lightly narrate
Ney's notes always navigate in a trance-like murmur;
Oud's ornate voice offers a limericking lyric
Perhaps to partake in profound kinetic kinesis.

Qanun quietly queries—a quivering jumping jubilation
Rhythms resonate—a restorative impressive intonation;
Samba's syncopation—a spirited harking harmony
Tabla's tempo—a testament of gripping grandiloquence.

Uilleann pipes uplift with urgent a fever for fervor
Violins voice the vibrancy of the endless echo;
Whistles and winds—the world's diverse diapason
Xylophone's xylography—a cross-cultural cadence.

Yodeling yonder in the Alps' billowing bellow
Zither's zephyrs—a zenith we accentuate and attune.

A Sequence In Chaos

A Premier wail
commemorating rebellion
and the wild eurythmics
of survival.
First born kinesis
dousing my aura
with dissonant breath
in defiance of change...

Bare insecurity
squalls split continuum
compelling balance
to abide my presence
and calling
the devotees of Pathos
to arms
to defend my place,
protect my ascension into life,
descension into chaos.

One breath
to sequence a lifetime,
inaugurating the universe
to contain
the lawless pandemonium
of my existence.

Desperate Housewife

Always on a razor’s edge
In the loony cage
Now opening this window
Now closing that
Now busy at this arrow
Now tackling the aching marrow

For the sweet bones moves the cat
The wolf seeks to shift
From old veins to a fresh rainbow
Comes up the superintendent
(As the psychoanalyst says)
The disguise is recognizable
The fruit of social venoms is terrible
Dusk or dawn
The train therefore pulls on
With the chores floors sores roars galore
Profound rubbish
Calling for the female cannabis

Kisses without kinesis
Daily travesty of compulsive synthesis
No beak and obviously no peaks
Same old debris and I can take it no more
It’s bloody hell
Better to regress to the cat
In an empty flat

I win your heart, your kickass ticking time bomb
I played it fair, no clubs, but love in spades
Feel I'll explode, but outwardly I seem calm
You, diamond queen, with me, jack of all trades

I sail your waves, the surf of your high rash crest
Your cyclone penetrates my frail defense
You siren you, I rest my case on your chest
I, one-eyed, Cyclops, dismiss all pretense

My single eye strokes your hunger in wild bliss
My mouth just stammers syllables of lust
You, answer me, kiss me, move me, kinesis
Gesticulate, manipulate my trust

The fickle feeble mind seeking oblivion
In milliseconds it will come undone

In the…years [just] before my diagnosis
I found it very hard ‘cos I didn’t, [positivity],
have a name to put to it, [my kinesis],

or know what it was but [after diagnosis]
it was a relief that I wasn’t going mad…
I got closure on what it was, [aegis],

In legend a man named Darth Vadar*,
Served evil, a perverse crusader,
I don't say this with pride,
But the day that he died,
His death cut by half mankind's nadir.

Brian Johnston
June 29,2014

*Darth Vadar is an arch-villian of an American movie Epic called 'Star Wars.' Not
really the Anti-Christ Himself, Darth Vadar is seduced by the 'force.' The mastery
of this art, which is related to telepathy and psycho-kinesis, gives a ordinary man
great power over others and even physical objects. Darth Vadar's own son is the
one who finally saves him from himself and the evil emperor.
